She is an astrologer and mage, she is part of a race that is connected to the stars and the secrets they hold, and are incredibly devoted to their purpose of studying and honouring them.

"b4 u go" by 5v has been one of my favorite songs for a long time

i used to joke that it felt like the song was from the perspective of the last few sips left in a can of mountain dew. it's the production. it's very ethereal and twinkling - like the notes were pulled directly from the cosmos.

5v is a classic soundcloud artist in that, you could tell me he comes from anywhere and i'd believe you. but specifically he comes to us from germany. and i have always felt as though i could hear the influences of german pop in his music. it's in the vocals. he has the voice of an angel. it's very rave. very easily sampled and remixed. i think general rave influences are evident as well.

he has a lot of heavy hitters, with lyrics in either english or german. b4 u go has always reached me the loudest. i think it's the relatable lyrics. i want to point out that i did not turn the subtitles on - they come baked into the music video. whenever i see this it is immediately clear to me that the lyrics are very important to the artist too. he wants you to know them.

I saw someone say they like Durge/Gale but it needs a lot of headcanonign to work and I just can't disagree more with this. Resisting!Durge x Gale requires exactly 0 headcanoning bc their dynamic is amazing already, despite them having disappointingly little content thanks to Larian playing favourites for literally no good reason.

Resisting Durge needs someone with a decent moral compass so they don't slip up and to give them positive reinforcement when they do the right thing, but also someone who will bend their moral compass for them to accommodate their mistakes when they're not strong enough to resist the urge. Gale is the perfect candidate for that.

Durge also benefits from the unconditional love and support that Gale provides. No hoops to jump through, no walls to break down, no massive amount of work to do just to receive love. And for someone like Durge whose father's love is definitely conditional and he most likely had to constantly prove he's worthy of it, this would be great for him. Again, the amnesia ruins things a bit, but we see Durge remembering things several times throughout the game, so him having remnants of his issues is not exactly a stretch. Some of his inspirations points and lines also hint to some self-loathing remaining.

Some other similarities that I find delicious but which the amnesia also ruins a bit - both Gale and Durge learn what it's like to live without their god around whom they have revolved their life, and who told them to kill themselves. Both are dangers to other bc of things outside of their control, which they desperately try to control. Both need the reassurance that they matter outside of their usefulness to their gods.

Anyway, all that to say that resisting!Durge x Gale is actually amazing and I wish more people could see it the way I do.

The fact Astarion wore them was a simple matter of seeing how flustered Gale would become over them. Truth be told the glasses made his eyesight worse. Perhaps the rogue had a bit of kleptomania as well. Astarion certainly wasn't going to psychoanalyze himself.

"Asking takes all the fun out of it." But this trinket wasn't one he was willing to fight over. "You know— a man can get the wrong idea if you come visit him in the middle of the evening at his bed."

He made an intentional long blink of his eyelids knowing exactly how the look appealed to others. He slid the frames off with a single hand. "Come take if you'd like." He didn't extend his arm out to aid Gale in their retrieval. The work fell on the wizard to close the distance.
