I'm moving on to a different project today! I am excited because for the first time I will develop a project with .NET core. Actually, I went to a 6-month course for ASP.NET and there wasn't much mention of core there, so I'm on my own in this, but I think I can do it.
This project I will do will be an income and expense calculator. People will see how much they spend and earn per month by entering their income and expenses and how much money they have, I will show them with a graph. Actually, I would like to make an online banking system, but I didn't want to push myself that much, but I'm always open to ideas! I will develop the frontend first and then create the database, but my database will be code-first and I will use layers for the first time in this project.

Whether you operate as a startup business or an international company in need of a unique software solution writing a solid project brief is essential. The reason for that is simple – IT projects are quite difficult to manage from their inception to launch without management difficulties.
Given the complexity of software application development, many companies opt for outsourcing rather than risk a potential loss of precious resources. Even if you opt for outsourcing, however, you still need to provide the development agency with a detailed outline of what it is you’re after. Writing platforms such as Trust My Paper, Evernote, and Top Essay Writing should become pivotal elements of your project brief writing, editing, and formatting processes. Properly utilizing dedicated writing tools to create a cohesive software development brief will subsequently lead to positive end-product outcomes, such as:

Before the War: My Life as a Programmer
Tumblr media
Before the war, my life was filled with lines of code, problem-solving, and creative thinking. I was a programmer—building web and mobile apps, writing backend systems in C# and ASP.NET. My days were spent developing projects, learning new technologies, and growing in my career. It wasn’t always easy, but I loved what I did. My work gave me purpose, and my future felt full of possibility.
Now: Life in War
Tumblr media
Now, my reality has drastically changed. I live under constant threat, in a war zone, with my family. The sound of explosions has replaced the hum of my computer. Each day is a struggle for survival, filled with fear, grief, and uncertainty.
I have lost loved ones—my cousins, my aunt, and her children. And I have lost my job, my sense of security, and the dreams I once had as a programmer. The war took away my work, but more than that, it has taken away the life I knew.
Hope for the Future
Tumblr media
But despite it all, I hold on to hope. Hope that one day, I will return to the work I love. Hope that one day, my family and I can live in peace. Like anyone else in the world, we deserve to feel safe, to dream again, and to rebuild what was lost.

Software Development using C# (Bootcamp)
Week 6 done ✨ Almost halfway through the bootcamp 🥳
Tumblr media Tumblr media
We started the backend project last week, this project is a teamwork and each team has 5 students. Honestly, I was scared of it because being the only one with a biology degree in a whole class of tech students made me overthink how will I do in teamwork and how I will definitely screw up everything and it’s true I made so many mistakes as expected (today lesson the hardest orz) but i am so glad my team members are so kind and they help me a lot 🥹
What i have learned from the bootcamp in the past 2 weeks 💻
- Database
- Data modeling
- Relationship: 1-1, 1-M, M-M
- REST architecture
- HTTP methods & status codes
- Introduction to ASP.NET Core
- Webapi template & Swagger
- Create endpoints for CRUD operations
- Handle & return  error in webapi
- Using controller and service folder with dependency injection
- Authentication & Authorization (role base)
- Introduction to ORMs
- Relations in EF Core
- Config database with Npgsql
(Yes, all of this in 2 weeks sobbbs)
Now let’s talk about C# again
- i am 50% done with codecademy course
- I Finished Bro Code C# videos (highly recommended and I plan to watch his React videos soon)
I am also almost done with my React first course ✨
Oh yeah Last but not least, this bootcamp gives us career advice classes related to developers' jobs, interviews, and how to have a good CV, LinkedIn, and github (if you are a friend on Discord, dm me so I can send you all the amazing stuff 💫)

Note
Hi im on my 3rd year of info tech and im just only getting the grasp of it or maybe it's bc we're doing web development this year. i am completely uninterested with the first languages i learned except web design. do i eventually have to go through java and c again when i have to work or before i apply? learning those overwhelmed me so much 😢
Tumblr media
First of all, don't do things that overwhelm you to the point it stresses you out. Yes, you might have to do it for your course but you're not interested in it really, so don't do it any further than you have to! There are more fun languages to play around with!
Back to the question: It depends on the job you want to do, to be honest. Some job roles will tell you upfront what languages are a requirement such as 'Java Developer' or 'C# ASP.NET Developer' - you get what I mean, you would probably want to avoid them. But for more vague titles like Software Developer, you need to read into the description of the job or the company to see what their tech stack involves and see what you enjoy and can do matches what they're looking for in a person to join their company!
For example, my job (minus the apprenticeship side) is a Software Developer and it is very JavaScript frameworks, C# and SQL based (with HTML and CSS in the background a bit, of course). So, I didn't and won't need to learn Java or C in order to do my job. Other Software Developer jobs might include Java.
If you are leaning more towards the web design route because that's more interesting, I haven't seen a lot of web design jobs need someone who knows Java or C. Web Design is more UX, UI, visual design, frontend languages and frameworks, SEO, maybe even learning to use programs like Adobe Creative Suite to design the websites. And of course, having 'excellent attention to detail'.
Web Developer is most of those things but add backend web programming languages (such as but not limited to, Python, Java, JavaScript, Ruby, C#, and PHP) and frameworks to the mix. Extra things to know really. Read more about this!!
Basically what I'm trying to say is that:
No, there's a high chance you won't have to learn Java and/or C to get a job only if you're applying for jobs that require it the most
Not all tech jobs require you to know either the two languages
However, that means learning the languages/frameworks that are required if you don't know them already
In Web design/web development, you can get a job in some cases knowing just HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and a couple JavaScript frontend and backend frameworks. Go the extra mile and learn backend stuff like MongoDB, SQL or MySQL - if you want.
See what is available in the job market around you, not everywhere is the same
If you see a common pattern, e.g. a lot of jobs require Vue.js or React.js etc, probably learn them and make a couple projects in them so you're ready to apply for those types of jobs in the future (this is what I'm doing)

Hello everyone, I'm back. I have new news for you about myself. As you know, I was developing projects with ASP.NET, my course was finished and I moved to the final department in economics - I have two semesters left. But some of my thoughts changed and I wanted to step into cyber security. Maybe you will think that I have tried all areas :D Yes, I think so too. So, I used TryHackMe, one of the most popular resources for cyber security, and finished some of the paths. Also, if anyone is interested, Cisco has courses that explain these topics from the very beginning and they are free! Frankly, I am happy that I switched to Network and Cyber Security. I didn't throw away everything else, I still have them, but this will be the area I will focus on from now on. That's all for now, if you have any questions feel free to ask!
You can access Cisco courses here: https://skillsforall.com/

Uncle Bob, Alan Turing and Razors.
It's been some time since I've updated the blog with my software development news. It's been a busy two months filled with Java exams, web building, work project deliverables and milestones and a sense of impending doom at the THREE 4 hour exams that I have to sit this week.
That being said, I still like to take the time to discuss some of the interesting things that I've been reading and watching lately. So in this article I will quickly discuss and link to videos across the interwebs that share some very cool ideas that I have encountered during my studies and work.
Uncle Bob's Clean Code
If you haven't heard of Uncle Bob then you need to watch his videos on Clean Code that can be found for free on YouTube. Robert Martin is a highly influential software programmer who was one of the original authors of the Agile manifesto (when it was designed for programmers before the project managers took over). He is known for promoting many different software programming principles, including the well known SOLID principle.
His lectures are fun but more importantly very important to learn.
youtube
The Halting Problem
With the development of such powerful computers you'd imagine that the pool of tasks that couldn't be completed by a program would either be small or shrinking. Well, it turns out that it has stayed relatively the same size (at least for the last 20 years). There are some algorithms, some procedures and predicates that cannot be solved by any computer, even supercomputers. One of the many problems that cannot be solved was proven so by Alan Turning. It is called the Halting Problem and it's quite interesting. The video below is a very brief introduction but sums it up nicely and skips all of the logic for those who just want the high level summary.
youtube
Razor Pages ( .Net)
I have been working as a web developer for 6 months now and during this time I've been so busy catching up with the current major project which requires very little code that we have yet to delve into any real web design. I've been dealing with small amounts of javascript here and there and designed the odd banner or two in CSS but I have mainly been working on service design and continual service improvement.
This month will see me start diving into the world of .Net from Microsoft. I've been beginning my scouring of their documentation and support sites (Microsoft actually provides good documentation that explains key concepts with very little fuss.) Below is a playlist of introductory lessons from Microsoft and a great starting place for anyone who wants to get into ASP.NET or .NET web developing.
youtube
I'm hoping that someone somwhere is interested in any of these videos, if you are let me know on twitter @alexheywood and I will get in touch and we can share resources!
Desperately trying to remind myself that its summer outside and that I should not spend all of my time coding / watching videos on coding.
Speak soon!

Web Development: Which Platform Is Better PHP or ASP.NET?
Interesting Question to Answer!!!
Everybody is aware of web development services company… But, the best one is questioning one.
There is a growing inclination to deliver progressive web applications that will engage user experience as well as facilitate the development process. The market requirements are growing fast and clearly the right technology stack could make a difference on the project.
Tumblr media
As per statistics, respectable market share of the back-end technologies is acquired by two programming languages - PHP and ASP.NET.
Both are widely utilized for different projects. In this way, the question raised - PHP vs ASP.NET: which is better for web development? Let’s figure out more about each approach.
PHP and .NET are the most widely used programming languages across the world for web development. PHP is a popular scripting language which has been utilized by top organizations such as Facebook, Wikipedia, and Tumblr.
On the other hand, the simple, efficient, functional-first programming framework - ASP.Net is an open source platform for developing wonderful and convincing applications for web, mobile, desktop, gaming and IoT environments.
The choice between PHP and ASP.NET boils down to application’s features, performance, support, and customization. As a scripting language, PHP is well-suited for server-side programming. As a server-side web application framework, ASP.NET is ideal for making web services, web resources, and APIs.
Both PHP and ASP.NET are great solutions for your business projects with slight differences, but a small difference can bring a significant change when things are done on a large scale.
