A minor portent of doom is Spotify heating my PC up more than playing Shadow of War. 60°C scrolling through ASMRMagic's discography. 52°C getting sassed by Sauron's army.

The Shadow of Mordor/War nemesis system would be really cool in a Vampire the Masquerade game. Also one of the only places AI/LLM makes sense is generating the steadily eroding metal state of things killed and returned to life over and over again. Characters torturously revised by their own memories of their own deaths forever by an uncaring and algorithmically cruel device. A save file of things reincarnated forever in hell. I'm starting to notice where the voice lines in Shadow of War are scripted to try their best to fit, but don't (it's still done incredibly well). This could get so much weirder with generated lines and voices. Nothing "good" needs to be produced. Erosion and corruption and entropy and facsimile is the point. Habsburg level inbreeding at 4.2GHz.

Since I had an ASMR video on here the other day, I thought I’d post this also, just in case anybody is curious about ASMR and hasn’t really tried it out. There are a LOT of videos out there using all different sorts of sounds and techniques and such, so it can be hard to tell where to dive in.

Voila! A compilation of lots of different types to check out! I like this particular one because there’s just SO much variety! Some sounds to me are just super soothing, others actually do spark some tingles. Which, to me, feels a bit like goosebumps going up from behind my ears to the top of my head...but kinda on the inside of my skull as much as the outside. If it sounds unpleasant, it’s not. ;) I do occasionally also get “regular” goosebumps on my arms, too. But that’s my experience and the old Your Mileage May Vary definitely applies. ;)

Anyway, give it a whirl if you’re curious or even if you already DO like ASMR, you may find something new. :D ♥

this week’s #tingletuesday #asmr recommendation is asmrmagic’s "ASMR Textured Ear Massage (NO TALKING) Salt Scrub, Gel, Sugar & Sticky Syrup 🍭 For Sleep & Study." i love putting sugar scrubs onto my face and body!! they make my skin soft and smooth, they have a nice texture, and they make a satisfying sound as you rub them on. this video has that satisfying sound, so that's why i'm recommending it. you'll hear rubbing sounds, wet sounds, sticky sounds... and the somewhat rough texture of sugar and salt. and the video is almost 1.5 hours long!! listen to this long, relaxing video if you want to sleep or just calm down and unwind.

If u have adhd I'd deffo recommend watching asmr videos before you sleep. Especially if you have an overactive imagination and have problems flaking asleep cos of it. I found asmr last December and its saved my sleep schedule. It's hard to think about anything when theres satisfying sounds playing in your ears. Plus, it tires your mind out from focusing on the loud and satisfying sounds. Not saying itll work for everyone but it's worth a shot!!!
