I think if you asked Brynjolf his favorite color he'd try to laugh it off. He'd smirk and lean over the desk, one finger curling under your chin to ensure he's the sole thing you're focused on. "The color of your eyes, of course." He'd chuckle, voice velvety and smooth. If you swatted at his hand and insisted for an honest answer, he'd heave a dramatic sigh before making a show of contemplating it. "Honest truth?" His head would tilt, sending a strand of red hair over his cheek. "It's got to be gold, love. Preferably snagged from some lordling's pocket."

"Blood." Cicero would grin if you asked him, eyes narrowing in on yours. "Deep and dark when it spills, or the pretty pink in my Listener's cheeks!" One gloved hand would pinch at your face, his voice shrill and gleeful. "Why do you ask Cicero such a question? Are you scheming to get poor Cicero a new outfit? Oh Listener, you're too sweet to your Keeper! Always so thoughtful, you are." He'd probably rattle off a few more poetic examples of how pretty red can be, though he'd sneer at the garish shade adopted by the Imperial Army.

Farkas would contemplate it for quite a while, eyes cast far out over the plains surrounding his home. Tilting his head closer to yours and flashing a hint of that dazzling smile, he'd finally answer. "Green." His voice would be hushed, as if he didn't dare to disturb the nature sprawling out at your feet. "Dark, like those trees." Following his finger, you'd see the expanse of coniferous trees covering the hillside. With fallen needles pooling around their trunks the shades melted together into one soft mix of green, one that felt welcoming and safe. If you pressed him for a reason, his smile would soften before he spoke again. "No matter how far away I get, once I see that color I know I'm almost home."

"I don't have one." Vilkas would grumble without turning to face you. His muscles would keep flexing, sword continuing over the grindstone. His brows would tighten, muscles in his jaw feathering as he tried to work through why you'd ask him such a silly thing. Unfortunately for him, he's all bark and no bite. It would be fairly easy to pick up on his preference - the way he drifted toward deep indigo dyes when repairing his armor, the various shades of blue bedding he'd collected over the years, even the faded navy socks you frequently caught him wearing around Jorrvaskr. You would probably have to point out that he does, in fact, have a favorite color.

ok so i know i've literally never posted abt sanders sides before on this blog (i haven't been keeping up for a few years) but i've been tumbling down a waterslide lined with my old hyperfixations for the last few hours and ended up creating D&D au character designs for the core four sides using heroforge. images and descriptions under the cut if you're interested ❤ bonus points if you can guess what classes they are (this is EXTREMELY self-indulgent so pls forgive the ranting abt them, they're very important to me ok)

First up we have Roman! my beloved. one of my first questions when starting his design was how can i make him look as cunty as possible? the answer: heeled boots and winged eyeliner (It's a little tricky to see but he's got gold metallic eyeliner). I ADORE Roman's colour pallet so i kept it as close to accurate as i could, making white the base colour and accentuating it with the gold armor and the dramatic red shoulder cape as my stand-in for his sash. he's wielding a katana OF COURSE how could he not be. he's slaying ⚔ 🐉 and slaying 💅💋

moving on:

Patton. my baby, my honey, my ragtime gal. i decided to make his hair a little longer than roman's bc i thought it made him look softer and more approachable. it was UNBELIEVABLY hard to find something that sort of replaced his cardigan without looking too chunky but i did like this kind of loose tattered mantle, so i went with that. kept the sky blue shirt and gray cardigan/shawl, but gave him more greyish blue pants so they didn't blend into the shirt too much. glasses are round instead of square bc again i thought they made him look friendlier than the square ones. freckles bc i personally think freckles are very cute and patton is very cute so he got freckles. no shoes he's travelling the realms like the gods intended. the dad vibes are strong i want him to give me a hug 🥺

next up:

logan is quite possibly my favourite side so i really wanted to get his design right. the MOST important thing was giving him his iconic necktie, which ended up being pretty much the same color as his canon design. i couldn't give the tie specifically a pattern, so i made his vest stripy like his tie is in the show and i think it looks really good. his glasses are the more classic nerd ones which is perfect for him and i gave him black eyeliner bc i thought it made him look more serious. i added the coat for more of a d&d look (it doesn't make sense to traverse planes wearing a vest and tie) i think it gives him an extra bit of style that i love.

and last but not least:

the Anxious BoiTM himself (i've only had him for five minutes seven years but if anything happened to him etc etc). virgil's was one of the easiest designs aesthetically and hardest mechanically (you'll never guess what class he is guys i took some BIG swings). I knew i wanted him in black and purple (obviously) and i knew i wanted to give him the iconic purple hair dye and eyeshadow. i almost said screw the genre and put him in a zippered hoodie but i do think that a cloak and cowl would suit him very well (good for hiding in) and i found a combo that looked equally cosy and spooky. a bow is good for attacking long range and keeping out of danger (appropriate for anxiety, i thought) and the mask looks intimidating but actually helps him with sensory overload (with the cowl and mask on he's basically in a mini sensory deprivation bubble). an eyebrow ring bc he's edgy idk why honestly i thought it looked cool.

So that's basically it! As i said before if you can guess their respective classes i'll give you a cookie (🍪). since i can't draw, heroforge is usually my go-to for character creation and i have to recommend it (i think i talk abt this site a lot but 🤷‍♀️) it's so helpful for non-artist types like myself.

Agent Kaikaina Grif (Flipflop AU)

Bursting at the seems with energy and well versed in all things armor tech, it's Agent Kaikaina Grif! Though rarely used, her codename is K.K.

Third Charlie Agent, and light of my life. She was definitely more fun because with how little screen time she gets in the show, I can effectively make her anything I need her to be for dynamic purposes. And thus, suit tech Kai was born! Also, I am using her to push my DocNutKai agenda.

Was recruited about a month after Dexter because of their siblinghood. Dex often says it's the one good thing The Director has ever done for him, but then again, he says that about anything good.

In a poly relationship with Donut and Doc! While at first it was just a group of close friends, they all collectively decided 'why not' and got together.

In her earlier days as an Agent, she was in a situationship with Tucker, though they've both since agreed to just stay friends.

She is the mastermind behind the agents' ridiculously well tailored armor. Originally, the process of fitting an agent into their specialized suits took over a month. Now, Kai has managed to cut that time down to a week.

She is also the main mechanic. While Team Bravo has their own machine-savvy agents that make sure Lopez stays in peak condition, many of the larger repairs go through Kai. She was closely involved in the creation of 2.0 aswell.

She doubles as Doc's security guard, throwing out unwanted guests or unruly patients that have outstayed their welcome.

She listens to everything. No joke, her playlist has songs from Nirvana right next to Babymetal right next to Tchaikovsky. Literal whiplash.

Little to no inside voice.

When she laughs, it always has a physical aspect. Like slapping a friends shoulder or shaking them from their arm or doubling over. Doc and Donut think it's adorable.

Strong. Very strong. Has, in the past, picked up Lopez and carted him back to her workshop for repairs. No one dared cross her the following week.

She enjoys hugging people. She'll greet you with a hug, say goodbye with a hug, hell she'll even embrace you for seemingly no reason if she felt like it.

Kai teases Grif about his crush on Simmons a lot. One year on Valentines Day, she managed to lock the two in a storage closet for several hours.

Smells of motor oil, metal and sweat

Organized Karaoke Night, which happens monthly. She also has dedicated herself to securing as many games as possible for Game Night.

She's always snacking on something. Be it a small baggy of chips that never seems to end, or a sandwich she threw together while rushing to her workshop for emergency repairs.

She dyes her hair a lot with Donut's help, never keeping the same color for more than 2 weeks.

Where is she from?

Cordhelia Aquilae is a Star Elf, born in the Yuirwood, to Cassius Aquilae, the General of her tribe. Her mother passed shortly after her birth, so Cordehlia was raised by her father, who taught her all he knew about fighting and military strategy. He doted on her, letting her play with all the other elflings of their tribe including Astarion, the son of their tribe’s High Lord. He eventually became her best playmate, her childhood sweetheart, and eventually betrothed lover. The rest of their story is in the fic 😉😉

Violet, a deep blue purple—the color of Astarion’s eyes before he was turned.

Is there a particular nightmare that haunts her?

For centuries, Cordehlia suffered. After losing her betrothed in Baldur’s Gate, Cordehlia threw herself into serving her father in his army. After his death fighting Ketheric Thorm at Moonrise Towers, she dove deep into her darker tendencies. She became Lady Corvus, a warrior for her people and a mercenary for hire. She is never without her dagger, designed to look like the plumage of a Raven, her namesake as the Lady Corvus. However, she would never admit it out loud, but her favorite thing she technically doesn’t own is Astarion’s camp shirt which she loves to borrow and wear around the Crimson Palace.

Describe her ideal day:

She has two.

After becoming Astarion’s Consort after his ascension, his little Raven, Cordehlia loves the days where she’s busy as a sort of vigilante. The Netherbrain may be gone, but it takes time to dismantle the cults of Bhaal, Bane, and Myrkul. Where Lord Astarion spends his days using his nepo baby, princely charm in politics, Cordehlia lurks in the shadows to remove the remnants of their enemies and any potential obstacles that present themselves. Being a Vampire Bride has only made her that much more bloodthirsty (pun intended).

Lately, she’s been feeling nostalgic, longing for the days where she spent hours with her beloved in the forests of the Yuirwood. Sometimes, she would love nothing more than to lie on a blanket under the shade of those same trees, doing nothing but picnicking, resting and fucking.

in my game i always dye astarion’s armor “lush burgundy” which, in his current armor, decks him head to toe in the shiniest, most intricate gold you’ve ever seen. i love the idea that his former master dressed him in rags, but now…now he has a beloved partner, an equal, that showers him in gold to make up for all the years he wasn’t treated like the lovely, precious, thing he is.

a few thoughts on the new ahsoka show

i'm unsure about my feelings on the backstory we didn't get to see with sabine and ahsoka. their interactions all felt reasonably in character, but there's just. so many holes. why did searching for ezra become jedi training? why did ahsoka decide to stop it? did sabine decide to put away her armor before or after that? how'd she end up just being depressed in ezra's tower?

if the rest of the show does a good job with these questions and making it seem like the story we're seeing IS better than that story and makes sense with it just in the rear view, i will be satisfied. but those are a lot of ifs, you know?

i really liked sabine's casting and feel like they did a great job with chopper. hera's pretty good and they did a good job with her makeup, and her go-betweening with sabine and ahsoka was well-done. we didn't see a lot of ezra but i did like his actor

i don't know what we're doing with the sith master and padawan or why. it could very well end up working out, but i just. don't know yet? other than her and sabine's homoerotic duel. that was hot

the morgan character is... interesting? i guess? seeing nightsister costuming in live action was cool and there could be something good going on here, but again, it's too early to tell how well it's going to work in context.

KOTLC Characters' Halloween costumes: 2022 edition!!!

Holy crap, I've been on tumblr for over a year now!! Let's get some Halloween costumes going, because nobody wears the same outfit two years in a row, right? *kicks my own beloved witch costume out of sight*

Sophie Foster: 1920's gangster. She's always been one for suits and ties, and she looks stunning with the fedora on her head and her fake cigar in her teeth. She drinks her lushberry juice out of a wine glass and talks in a Brooklyn accent the whole night. No one knows what her accent's about, but no one can get her to stop. She has bright red lipstick on her teeth, halfway through the night, and her brown eyes sparkle. Her suspenders are super cute, though.

Keefe Sencen: Cereal Killer. You know exactly what I'm talking about, because that is not a typo. There is a cereal box, and there is red dye involved, and a fake knife. Keefe is loving it.

Fitz Vacker: Alexander The Great. He's got his hair messed up and his eyes look a little wild, but the historical accuracy is there, from the Macedonian armor to the spear he made himself. There are feathers tucked into the helmet he spent hours making, and his shield is carefully crafted to have a golden star right at the center. He's wearing gold and red and he looks every inch like a warrior king.

Biana Vacker: Cinderella. Her skirts are shimmery and blue and she's got her hair in long loose waves, butterfly clips in her hair, and she's smiling brightly, and she looks lovely. Oh, her slippers are made of crystals. She commissioned them and paid money for the trolls to carve her her shoes. They cost quite a chunk of change.

Tam Song: Prince Charming. He looks put together and like the prince he is. He and Biana went to the party together, and if you see Cinderella and Her prince dancing the night away to "Monster Mash" you're correct. That's what they're doing, tonight.

Linh Song: Sheet Ghost. With glasses over the top. It's really cute, and she giggles and her whole costume looks like it's shaking. She's just floating around, and it's really really sweet.

Marella Redek: Katara, from Avatar, The Last Airbender. It's about the IRONY, and the hair loopies that she spent three hours researching and braiding her hair so it's accurate. She put so much effort into this costume, and worked on this for weeks. She's put her heart and soul into this costume, and it looks like it. It's just a brilliant cosplay of the character, and you can tell that Marella had so much fun putting it together.

Dex Dizznee: Pirate. He's got an eye patch and a fantastic outfit that looks perfectly like he walked out of a book on pirates. He even burned the sleeves with gun powder, and dusted his cheek bones with red so it looks like he's got a sunburn. Good thing he's got so many freckles, it looks like he's been in the sun for months.

Stina Heks: Goth Witch. She's got her makeup dark and her dress jagged at the bottom. She's got spiderwebs embroidered across her sleeves, and her hat is pointed and embellished with flowers and a skull(sustainably sourced). She's got her lipstick dark and her hair curly and scattered and messy. She's grinning, brightly, and she looks like a creature of the night. It's lovely.

Maruca Chebota: An angler fish. She's got her dress done up in shimmery scales, attaches huge teeth to her face with makeup glue, and she fastens a glowing sort of shield in place at the end of her headpiece, and she looks amazing.

Wylie Endal: A lighthouse. All of his college friends screech in laughter when he walks in and there's a light moving around him like he's a real actual walking talking lighthouse who just walked in the room.

Glimmer Alenefar: Fintan Pyren. There was so much laughter. She even went on a dramatic speech in Fintan's voice!!!! Sophie is losing her mind over this, and Keefe has been laughing so hard he's now crying, especially when Glimmer says something along the lines of "I'VE ALWAYS LOVED YOU, WILLIAM SHAKESPEARE" or something like that. No one is ssafe from Glimmer Fintan. Not a single one of these kids is mentally healthy. But stars, if they aren't having a good time.

I thoroughly enjoyed your Twitch rant, thank you. Now I ask you, what would Twitch look like in a modern au? What’s his major? Hobbies? What would movie nights look like? Does he get bullied? What his friend group like? Dating life 😏

I actually havent thought about a Twitch modern au too much, except in maybe in the background of a Fives and Echo college au where hes theor little brother of course and the beloved baby of the family. Eventually he gets his physical therapy liscence so honestly it's not super different from the After the war au.

So after I actually did research, I realize that what Twitch would want to do is be a Physical Therapy Assistant, not the actual physical therapist. The difference is that the PTA actually works with the patient and does the therapy part with them and needs a lot less schooling. (My apologies to any PTAs out there I should have clarified before because theres a definite difference 😅).

To do this he would need to get an associate's degree in physical therapy, and then go through a special program, get his license, and keep taking classes as he works to keep up with advancements and developments.

Twitch really loves to paint! Have you seen his armor? Once the war is over and he has access to lots of stuff he paints a lot, mostly abstract and pretty stuff, and the paintings end up in the rooms and halls of the apartments the vode take up. He also loves to prank people (the funny kind not the painful kind) and he has his hands on this special hair dye that doesnt show unless wet, so his victims dont realize until it's too late. Then they have to walk around with new hair for a few days until Twitch gives them the removing agent. His close brothers get fairly harmless shades (such as the black he keeps putting in Rex's because it's really funny when Anakin cant recognize him) but if you actually annoy him your heads going to be lime green. Once he slipped bright blue into Commander Wolffe's stuff for calling him a child and didnt give him the agent for a week. No one ever sees him do it.

For movie nights Twitch likes comedies and mysteries from the comfort of a big blanket filled vodpile.

Twitch probably does get bullied because he doesnt like fighting much and there will always be those that see that as a target, but Twitch has many brothers that dont mind fighting and honestly if you do anything to actually hurt Twitch oh haha look is that Fives coming? Oh haha he looks angry, Rex is turning his back? And Kix?

Ok so they probably wouldnt actually beat someone up unless they were a current danger but having the Captain, CMO, and Arc Trooper of your company ticked off at you is not a good way to avoid latrine duty. Assuming Rex isnt transferring them to the Wolfpack where his ori'vod does not tolerate bullies.

Twitch is very kind, genuine, and compassionate so it's very hard to meet him and not want to be friends with the guy. Even grumps (cough cough Remedy) who try to keep people out of their lives cant help but like him.

Twitch does not have a dating life during the war hes too busy. I do tend to avoid Star Wars relationships but in the event that 66 does happen he eventually deserts and makes it to mandalore, where he settles down with a sweet girl and have a couple kids and let me tell you Twitch is just an excellent buir.
