Friendly Reminder! Poppy Playtime Devs are Horrible

While the NFT debacle is a point of concern, I rarely see people point to the devs, specifically Zach and Seth Belanger, and their treatment of then 15-year old Ekrcoaster. 

Corroborating Ekrcoaster’s Document

The validity of Ekrcoaster’s google document is backed up by the apology Zach Belanger posted to the Poppy Playtime Discord on May 3rd, 2022. In it, Zach states; “After Ethan [Ekrcoaster] cut off communications, not knowing any other way to reach him, the Animation Sins team discontinued the entire channel, and attempted to move on and learn from the situation.” This sentence, and the wall of preceding text, all prove that this situation happened, as Zach gave his own perspective, and claims to have attempted to apologize to Ekrcoaster in some form or another.

(I was unable to find the Twitter link for the Zach apology document, not sure if the Discord Server still has it up. But for reference, Seth’s is still visible, and is formatted exactly the same way.)

Ekrcoaster’s Document

The following words and images are from this document. This google document contains Ekrcoaster’s account of the entire situation. 

Here are some brief snippets of the document:

“He starts by sending me the video. I thought it was cool and stuff, then I noticed. Now, he had NEVER sent any of his videos to me. This was the first time he did this.”

There are two other users, ANDYBTTF and Trainguy9512 , who also seemed to have been in on the bullying at some point, as seen in the screenshots below. (For context, they were making fun of Ekrcoaster’s broken computer monitor here.)

TL;DR: Devs Zach and Seth Belanger bullied then-15-year old Ekrcoaster so badly that it took a drastic toll on his mental health, and at least two other people are known to have bullied Ekrcoaster in this same chat. Don’t buy shit from these people, good gravy.

EnchantedMob was like the top channel to "realism" and quality Though the older-older stuff was bland and the fnaf content always had the nightguard be Steve Minecraft and it was before working MatPat really worked on the fnaf lore so it was so unique compared to now

Zamination was cartoon-y and had great quality, I remember the youtuber fan-animations they did. And the Foxy Story Series was cool!! Though it actually made me sad watching the last video, that was meant to be like "HAHA William gets what he deserves!!' But I was just so upset seeing the pain on his animated face and I wanted to give him mercy HE'S A FICTINAL CHARACTER, I CAN FEEL BAD FOR HIM BEING IN LITERAL HELL

Ekrcoaster was.... unique cartoony-ness. It was even weirder and cartoonier than "Cartoon Physics" TM, and it brought a sense of cringe but in a enduring way? ALso not TOO many details like to the extent of EnchantedMob

AndyBTTF was simple and amazing then all of a sudden they changed to Cubical and it got better quality and details by TENFOLD Drawn to The Bitter was their first new one in the new channel name and AHHHH

3A Display was impressive to "i'm pretty sure" have only 3Animators <- heh and so it was varied all with.... not the worst quality, lot of clipping Then their Afton Story Series happened where they got more help from even EnchantedMob and you couldn't just not love it

Also everyone here seemed to make fnaf videos where the murderer afton always looked the same; black suit and hair with a purple tie and eyes And Michial had a purple suit and black tie XD

Quick heads up, deleting all Poppy Playtime content from the blog. (5-23-22)

Zach Belanger, Seth Belanger, and ANDYBTTF all actively bullied Ekrcoaster in the MOBGames discord server in 2018.

Ekrcoaster, (who was 15 at the time of the bullying,) made an attempt on his life.

These people almost drove a kid to suicide. Please do not buy anything from these people, Poppy Playtime Chapters or otherwise.

(A lot of people out there have played the game or been involved with the game, and while I understand not knowing the extent of the controversy, I really hope they do become aware of what has really been going on for a long time now.)

Also, I encourage you all to check out Ekrcoaster’s response. It’s a very interesting read to begin with and goes over a lot of the happenings in detail.
