Some observations about Baldurs Gate 3 that hit too close to home.
After another few runs i will probably just make an in-Depth Character Analysis for every character simply because they are good reflections of actual trauma-manifestations and how abuse can manifest in people. They are also so well written that it serves a narrative purpose to explore all the material that is out there about them. I am also personally cursed with actual medically-relevant levels of Empathy and Hyperfixation; so writing this helps me put a pin in it and move on.
But so far here are my highlights
(SPOILERS and obviously content warning bc these are deep)
before you ask; i have almost 300h in this game.
You have to convince Shadowheart to eat the Noblestalk. She actually stells you she rather get her memories back from Shar but when you hit the persuasion or intimidation (what the fuck) check to get her to eat it she'll tell you about her childhood friend. Not her name, not her parents but her best firend. Possibly because she has had a closer bond to that person after being abducted and indoctrinated. With her believing herself to be an orphan, she would've looked elsewhere for comfort and sought out her own family, this is why she falls hard and heavy for Shar and builds the backbone of her indoctrination. She is literally ripped out of her home & given a new identity to server her from all she has known. Religious indoctrination, Gaslighting, Abduction, being forced to let go of your personality are her main themes.
There is a scene out there floating around in which you see Astarions pespective of the night when he bites Tav for the first time, in his meditations he is confronted with the rules Cazador put on him, including that he can't eat intelligent creatures, can't be away from Cazador unless allowed to, has to obey every command and that they are should know that they are property. Which in turn means that Astarion literally didn't just have any autonomy, he was objectified (and not just through seductive/sexual measures) and that is really the crux to understanding why he doesn't believe in kindness, but rather shows self-serving behavior in most cases. Since we know that Astarion was extremely young for an elf before he died and became immortal (literally stopping the aging /maturing process) it is also very telling that Cazador constantly calls him brat, boy or other very juvanile names, refering to them as a family... well it is also the story of a very controlling parent. Themes of (Bodily) autonomy, infantilization ( & puer aeternus, forever-child), slavery, depersonalisation, corruption of life and torture to break someone.
Gale isn't just a guy hung up on his Ex, but also a victim of abuse. In this case a power imbalance none of us can fathom; She is described as being a jealous goddess and rules over the domain of mysteries and magic. So with Gale being a Wizard, she is literally his boss. He admits that he was foolish enough to aspire to be an equal to her, but she is so jealous that she tells him he can't really be worthy as long as he takes breath. She could just take his powers away and be done with it, that would be more than enough punishment for a guy who literally made Mystra and her domain his life's purpose, but she rather makes him do it himself. Add to that, that she literally only tells him this after years of self-isolation (after he put down so many wards that he could've blown up a whole army as he says if you click the right dialogue) to really fuck him up well. He also talks about death pretty much constantly, not surprising giving your situation, but he will tell you that he will kill himself at several points in the game, for instance after he comes clear about his nethrese orb. Themes of romantic abuse, power-imbalance, toxic work enviorment, self-isolating behavior, suicidal ideation
Wyll ... well from the looks of it he is the most well adjusted of all the companions (my opinion) but he has something that i'd describe as the "eldest daughter"-syndrome, more commonly known as parentification. This pattern usually occurs within single-household parents and is commonly described as a parent looking to their child for emotional or practical support, rather than providing it to their kid. We meet Ulder and see that he talks over Wyll a lot, not listening but expecting him to follow the standard he sets for him. That is also why Wyll repeats his fathers words like gospel (because this is what, in his mind, fullfills the expectations bestowed upon him) and why he loves fairytales / bard tales so much (because they are an ecapist view of the job he set out to do) Ulder literally exiled his teenage son because Wyll did the only thing he could to save an entire city, by sacrificing himself. Thats a lot to expect from a 17 year old - even more so, he doesn't stop with the heroics. He expects himself, as a human who hasn't even reached the age of 30 to hold up to mystical creatures such as Astarion or Karlach, or even Gale who is a accomplished Wizard. Themes of parentification, escapism, self-harming through putting himself in danger, chronic-self-sacrifice
In plain words; Gortash, Karlach's Idol sold her to a Devil. But add to that that she must have been pretty young when she was sold (late teens to early twenties possibly) and being that if you play as a Tiefling, you face a lot of predjudice she was likely forced into that position as well. Starstruck she was, with a juvenile naitivy that Gortash used. Appropriately, as he is the chosen of Bane the god of "tyrannical oppression, terror, and hate, known across Faerûn as the face of pure evil through malevolent despotism" (Source: Forgotten-Realms Wiki / Bane) So she pretty much was raised in a toxic enviorment, which forced her to become a killing-machine, first figuretively, then with the extraction of her heart, literally. Themes of slavery, oppression, misuse of trust, being taken advantage by a more powerful/older(?) person, being drafted.
Jaheira - to be honest, you need to know the lore of the previous baldurs gate games or just listen to her dialouge, ask her all the questions. She is a war-veteran against Bhaal, the good of ritual murder, and has a long history of fighting to achieve some sort of balance of power. She lost her husband and several close people all to this, or any other war, but due to her wisdom and strength people look to her for guidance. Themes of: Survivors Guilt.
Halsin - he is really closed off at first but then just casually hits you with "i was captured in the underdark and spent 3 years chained to a bedroom wall by a pair of drows who used me as they pleased". He is reprimanded by some of his druids for leaving the grove as soon as opportunity struck, just to get back and leave the next day, and if you talk to him about his position in the grove he is actually very forthcomming. He actively holds himself back; indulging in simple hobbies because he knows what lies within his heart. He is afraid of himself and his potential (canonnically he can't control his wildshape, which is very weird for an ARCH-druid) Themes of: impostor syndrome, avoidant-based self-harm, sexual opression, loss of control, emotional regulation.
Lae'zel is a very tragic case, and one that closely resembles the stories of Shadowheart and Karlach. Her entire existence is based upon a matriachial war society allowing her to live if she proves she can be of use and that in a culture which only values brutality, dominance & service. All of that culimating in her finding out that her oh-so-beloved Queen is actually just an imposter, and that everything she has lived for up to that point is merely political propaganda created to make her, and the rest of her entire species, willing pawns in a war that has no longer bearing on their survival alone, but is fought to justify Vlaakith's (the reigning monarchs) personal ambitions. Not only is she forced to reconcile that she is turned into the thing that controlled her kind for hundreds of years, that the only cure she knows of would kill her and then on top of that, that her hopes and dreams were lies and that she is now the Nr 1 enemy of the person she has served with all her being. themes of: oppression, propaganda, casual violence, objectification, child-warfare, eternal warfare
Minthara in short, her story is about being shamed for growing up in the same scenario that Lae'zel grew up in. Lolth, the god of the Lolth-sworn drows is a crazy queen who values scheming & backstabbing so much and is so volatile that you can't know what to expect of your deeds (and i mean it; there were people who were appraised by her for scheming against her, but also those who were killed. It's almost random.) She considers Lolth to be cruel and abandoned her for the Absolute, only to then be used and abused the same way Lae'zel has. Not with promises, but erasing her memory and exposing her perceived weakness. Themes of: casual violence, violent culture, her own ambition colliding with her desire to be safe, being a pawn in a larger game.

I was thinking of Beren and Lúthien and how their story is so much more interesting than they get credit for. I mean, on the surface it reads like a fairy tale but it also elevates the rest of the story, it uses common fairy tale tropes but turns them upside down, and the way we see the heroine asserting her agency in this story is so fascinating. I think the story of Beren and Lúthien provides much needed contrast for the rest of the Silm, and both become more poignant because of this contrast.
The familiar fairy tale goes like this: there's a a poor but resourceful peasant, set with a difficult task (which is in fact designed to be impossible to complete), but thanks to some magical help he is successful, retrieves treasure, and as a reward he wins the king's daughter and lives happily ever after as a prince, gaining all the earthly glory one can have in this life. But in the Tale of Beren and Lúthien, the hero is a traumatised outlaw, the king's daughter IS the magical help, she is an active and equal participant in the quest for her own hand in marriage, the treasure may actually be cursed, the hero and heroine die, and the ultimate reward is not a social rise from rags to riches. Beren does not become a member of the power-wielding elite of Doriath and he and Lúthien are not promised that their second life will be happy or long. But just that chance is worth it, and by choosing it they actually change the course of history. Lúthien is offered all the bliss that is possible to have in Arda, if she will give up Beren, but she decides that the love she has for him is still more valuable. And that idea, of loving someone so much that your love shifts the world, is so compelling to me.
And I love that the story of Beren and Lúthien is also a rendition of Orpheus and Eurydice, and that just as the world was created in the Music of the Ainur, so is Lúthien's song powerful enough to change what those original notes dictated. She changes it with hope and a song. That is so simple and yet so beautiful, in the way some of the best myths are. (Insane that this is essentially a love-letter to Edith Tolkien.)
There is this fascinating contrast between Beren and Lúthien: at the time of their first meeting, Beren has lost literally everything and his family is either dead or lost beyond retrieval. Stumbling across Lúthien, he is fresh from terrible ordeals and suffering. But Lúthien's life has been full of happiness and without care, and she has lived in a literal fairy kingdom as the most beautiful of all the Children of Ilúvatar. She could have her pick of any prince of Eldar. But here she comes across this mortal, who has nothing to give except for his love and even that only for a brief time, and she is willing to risk all she has for it. The gall and courage it takes to take such a chance! She chooses this man and her choice changes everything.
And that is brilliant! Because Lúthien starts with so little power and agency, and she is constantly belittled or even abused by those with more power around her. She is treated as a pawn, her will is undermined and she is coerced and imprisoned to make her compliant. But Lúthien shows her determination and courage in holding fast to her choice even when it's just her and Beren against the world. In the end, she wins agency and freedom to determine her own tale. In her beginning Lúthien is a maid dancing in the woods; by the end she will have faced Satan and death itself, and changed the world forever. Truly, to call her story "Release from Bondage" is more than appropriate. How insane is this all from Beren's point of view? He has lost everything, he is an outlaw, and has nowhere to go. What is left of his family is scattered who knows where. He has nothing but the clothes on his back and nothing to give. But here is this immortal princess, and she will go to hell and back with him! She will cross the Sundering Sea to bid him farewell! She pleads with inexorable death and for her, an exception is made! It's so on brand for Tolkien that these two achieve with their love, and precisely because they act out of love, something that others with armies behind their backs can't even imagine doing.
Yeah. It's such a good, hopeful, bittersweet tale.

I had originally intended to make this post on Percy's birthday for some well-intended chaos, because why not? But I had a bit of a health crisis since then, and I had no time nor strength to do anything, so here's this now. I have seen so many strongest demigod tier lists, and half of them I find to be somewhat inaccurate, so here's mine:
If you guys want to see specific 1v1 between any characters just post an ask and I will do a breakdown on following criterias:
Strength Knowledge Durability
Speed Battle Strategy Abilities
Stamina Battle Experience FEATS
Now feats is in bold because in the end, that's what actually determines the power level, so keep that in mind. A lot of people might riot, but it is what it is.
This current tier list is also based on the aforementioned categories:
1.PERCY JACKSON
(I don't want to argue over this there's. no argument to be had it's crystal clear)
Twice savior of Olypmus (the only one)
Was offered Immortality
Was War General of Camp-Halfblood during Titan War
Former Praetor of Rome
Bore the weight of the sky without Artemis's blessing
Survived Tartarus
Fought Kronos
Only one to survive the Curse of Achilles
Only one to overpower a primordial entity
Killed multiple Titans and Giants
Sat on a Gods Throne without any consequences
Blessed by Pan and Hestia
Defeated Geras
Wrestled Nereus
Considered to be the only one worthy of commanding a God by Apollo when he initially turned mortal
( Has killed so many notable entities and has probably hundred more feats but I won't mention them all or else it would all be a Percy list)
2.JASON GRACE
[ Okay, hear me out on this before everyone explodes. Nico has definitely one of the, if not the strongest, abilities in the verse in terms of both power and versatility. But he comes up short in terms of strength, stamina, endurance, and feats.]
Former Praetor of Rome
Defeated Krios
Has Killed more than one giant
Has Killed the Trojan Sea Monster
Has the highest combat experience/training out of all the demigods
Hera's favored demigod
Could go toe to toe with Percy for a good amount of time
3.NICO DI ANGELO
Survived Tartarus
Brought back Athena Parthenos, the Bane of the Giants
Faced a Primordial and got out alive
Half the reason the Titan War was won
The Ambassador of Pluto
(There's a few more but those are more on the abilities spectrum more so than feats)
The Ghost King
Could fight Nero equally for a while ( who is considered to be equal to a Minor God)
4. HAZEL LEVESQUE
(Between her and Meg I guess it's sort of debatable given Meg has more abilities and many feats, but Hazel has stronger feats and solid abilities herself)
Killed a Giant (more than one, with help but it's very impressive either way because of her significant contributions during those times)
Granted power by another God who is not her Godly Parent
Magic user
Has the strongest mist control out of all demigods
Tamed Arion
Praetor of Rome
5. MEG MCCAFFREY
(No don't bother debating this. It's true)
The sheer number of abilities she has alone is good enough to put her here.
Can summon Karpoi
Strongest demigod child of Demeter
Opened the Grove of Dodona(with Apollo)
Tons of feats ( check @respect Meg McCaffrey on reddit for elaborate descriptions)
Has mastered one of the deadliest forms of combat known (Dimachaerus, an ancient gladiatorial mode of fighting from the roman times. Apollo states it is one of the rarest and deadliest forms of combat one can master)
Was chosen to command a literal God turned mortal
6. THALIA GRACE
Fought all of Hades's furies and the worst of the monsters Underworld has to offer before her "death"
Has the blessing of Artemis
Lieutenant of Hunters of Artemis
Defeated Luke Castellan completely in pure combat who was before Percy, the greatest swordsman born in the last three centuries.
Fought Iapetus briefly and survived
Survived Orion's attack on the Hunters and fought him briefly and survived
Was considered the strongest demigod in Camp Half Blood before Percy Jackson
7. FRANK ZHANG
Praetor of Rome
Could lead a legion of dead soldiers
Neptune's gift of shape-shifting
As of ToA his life is no longer attached to the wood
The physically strongest demigod
Has the blessing of Mars which gives him enhanced strength and stamina
Can turn into a literal dragon (Need I say more?)
Fought and helped defeat a giant
Blitzed a minor God
(More cool stuff, people need to puts some respect on Frank's name)
8. REYNA RAMIREZ-ARELLANO
(Before the Piper stans roll in, Reyna worked for Circe for a good long while before she and her sister fled after the pirate attack so there's a good chance she knows how to resist charmspeak which is something alike Circe's enchantments.
Now Annabeth's a good contender to fight Reyna, but I am basing this on higher feats. Reyna fought and defeated Orion and was probably involved in overthrowing Krios while the only powerful being Annabeth has gone toe to toe with is Kronos inhabiting Luke's body and she does manage to corner Annabeth in Mark of Athena and Annabeth herself says she is unsure if she could win against Reyna, [it's super close though])
Former Praetor of Rome
Returned Athena Parthenos, the Bane of the Giants
Could easily go toe to toe with Annabeth who has far more training and combat experience than her.
The only Roman demigod to recieve Athena's blessing
Received a piece of Athena's cloak/shield Aegis.
Fought and defeated Orion, a giant who had previously almost completely decimated most of the Amazons and Hunters.
Has the blessing of Artemis
9. ANNABETH CHASE
(Yet again, to Piper fans,Annabeth is a child of Athena, born from divine, though, so i think Annabeth would be able to resist Piper's charmspeak to a certain extent and Annabeth has more feats and overall higher comabt and knowledge plus intelligence)
Held up the weight of the sky for half a day(with Artemis's blessing)
The only child of Athena to find and secure the Athena Parthenos
Fought Kronos and held her own while using just a dagger against his giant scythe
Outsmarted and trapped Arachne just using trickery
Tricked Polyphemus
Was able to fight the giant Mimas briefly with Athena in Blood of Olympus
Survived Tartarus
Architect of Olympus
10. LEO VALDEZ/PIPER MCLEAN
Honestly I can't decide between this. I am going to need you all to decide this one.
Most of Leo's feats are constructing or repairing things. Festus, Argo 2, Archimedies circle, convincing Apollo, and so on.
Piper's feats are all based on her charmspeak and nothing else. Khione, Medea, and even putting Gaea to sleep (because she was already sleepy and in mid-air cut off from her domain for long enough). The plan was Leo's, but the execution mostly depended on Piper, so it's a tie, I think, but let me know your opinions.
Feel free to share your honest opinions; though, mostly, let's agree to disagree on the Top 5. I can welcome debate over 6-10. But I think the Top 5 are mostly factually canonically accurate.

Pretty much my ideal dcxdp coexisting world
Danny had all his canon happen before Bruce and the JL started their vigilante careers
Before Bruce was born or Martha and Thomas even got married
Phantom Planet never happened and the world never realized that they were almost dead in the first place (I apologize for mentioning it)
Danny retires after blowing up the portal and designing a new system of gov for the Infinite Realms (why the hell is that a monarchy anyway? Fighting being a way of communicating AND the way of determining a ruler does not make sense so I'll choose the better one)
Danny still visits the Infinite Realms but mostly lives his life
He still has interesting things happen to him but more because he apparently has a curse placed on him than anything else 'may you live in interesting times'
Danny manipulates the curse by getting into situations on purpose and then resolving them without getting attention drawn to his civilian id and normal life
He keeps track of immortals and big names that deal with death magic so as to lower the chances of being summoned
The more powerful the Realm Being the more powerful the summoner has to be to summon them and with how powerful Danny is there aren't many he has to keep an eye on
Ra's has been losing Lazarus water at a steady rate for over a decade but only now has it become a noticeable loss. The day the that he notices is a Very Bad Day for the League of Assassins (the day Danny lets himself get caught satisfies his curse for 2 whole months)
Danny hasn't aged much at all since he left Amity at 17. He's still short but mimics the effects of age with stage makeup and other tools used by actors to look older they actually are. This is how he meets a certain Alfred P. who remains a good friend even though they never really meet in person.
His parents blow themselves up and wipe their house off the map when tinkering with a device designed to lure realm beings to them. Danny isn't really sorry they're gone. He finds out after leaving Amity that he wasn't really their kid and he wasn't even adopted. They made him in their lab while distracted from their obsession with ghosts then completely forgot they had done so when they refocused on ghosts. His growth chamber (terrible name) was coated in ecto which allowed the device to reactivate and allow Danny to finish incubating into a toddler then (suspicious) it mysteriously popped him out before his the fentons noticed the growth chambers success.
His parents never took any notes on the clone experiment out of the house due to it being a (perceived) failure. After going back to their ghost obsession they completely forgot about it so no one knows. Jazz only found after Danny told her and he only found out after growing older and continuing to look less and less like either of his parents.
Danny finds the notes and that's what inspires him to leave Amity, to start looking for his bio parent. The Fenton's had no clue that the clone they grew was Danny. They dismantled the growth chamber when Danny was four (actually two) and never realized that the toddler they adopted was the clone of wonder woman they made. They never said anything to anyone about Danny being adopted so Vlad has no idea that Danny isn't Maddie's child.
Vlad starts to age drastically after the portals are destroyed and Danny figures out that Vlad isn't a halfa after all. He's just a normal ghost who can prey on people like spectra but with an obsession directed at Maddie originally and then Danny. Afterwards Vlad gets shunted off into Walker's prison because of all the toxic and human crimes he's committed among them brainwashing, mind control and mind wiping various wealthy and not so wealthy individuals into giving Vlad their money and companies.
Ellie has to explore the Infinite Realms (literally Infinite though so she's not confined) only because she can't really produce her own ecto. She has to absorb it from her surroundings so she can wander safely all over the Infinite Realms (so long as she calls for help when she gets in over her head) but not the human realms unless she takes a buddy who can produce a steady stream of ecto for her.
Vlad makes Danny his heir so now he's rich enough to travel even after giving all the people Vlad stole from their money back. It turns out that Vlad was good with making more money once he had it.
just Danny being a crptoid for the entire magical community and them being unable to talk about it if they even know of him
while danny runs a NASA and space account where he talks about NASA's recent achievements, newly discovered stars, planets and new alien races that Earth has been in contact with
#dpxdc#dp is before all dc vigilantes start#danny stops aging#perfectly preserved at 17#he uses make up to seem older as the years go by#no ghost king#down with the Monarchy!#clone of wonder woman danny#dead fenton parents#no one knows that danny is phantom except for jazz sam and tucker#danny hasn't been able to find his bio mom#or dad#does find it odd that with so much maternal dna and minimal paternal dna that he turned out male#the giw had fake authority#they never even informed the us gov that ghosts exist#for gov/military took advantage of the ghost situation to quarantine amity#danny mind wipes them#too dangerous for them too keep all the knowledge they gained about the realms#tell me what you think#this is 5 or 6 of my most solid hc fitted together

Dead Boy Spoilers
Things I'd like to see in Dead Boy Detectives Season 2
Tragic Mick and Monty form an Animals with Complicated Feelings About Being Human at Some Point support group. Maybe the Cat King is there too.
Monty takes on Tragic Mick's "curse" and get's to be human again and Mick get's to be a walrus or at least get's to not be human anymore and is a crow. Monty could even take over his store!
Monty and the Cat King dealing with loneliness together. The Cat King has all the loneliness of being an immortal that Edwin's making him unpack (in particular he hangs out with cats all day like fuck they have even shorter life spans than people god he must have lost a lot of loved ones) and Monty deals with loosing his owner/master/mother/weird aunt figure who's probably been his whole world for better and worse up until he got turned human.
Whoever Monty is hanging out with I want to see him far too earnestly doing their star charts.
Boys and Crystal solving just fun random MOTW cases
The Night Nurse and Jenny tearing their hair out trying to keep the teens in check.
Night Nurse in particular having an aneurism every time the boys refuse to fill out a form, brake a rule, or run off without her.
Although alternatively Edwin getting VERY into the forms and learning how Hell and the afterlife works, and instead pestering her about it.
Jenny focusing more on Crystal - and Niko when she comes back.
Jenny learning she can care a bit more. The Night Nurse learning to relax and care a little less.
Jenny getting a good date. Loving her ship with Death but also I like the idea of them meeting a Cat Queen and her little comment about everyone in town being spinsters with cats comes round to instead be this ancient being who is a cat.
Crystal researching her ancestors and finding out more about them.
Crystal dealing with the demon in her brain hopefully before he does something irreparable to her tree.
Maybe they end up interrogating David about the "something worse" Edwin was sold to.
Crystal learning about her powers!
Crystal trying to repair some of her old friendships. Make amends to a couple of people.
Niko reforming the dandelion sprites and learning to lead/work with them. Helping them all find a way to feed without murdering people.
Nico dealing with needing attention to eat and live despite her coping mechanism when she's sad or scared specifically being avoiding people and hiding from others.
Niko figuring out her dandelion god powers. Doing god like things like blessing people who love, care for, and harvest dandelions. Granting wishes when dandelions are blown!
Niko marriage counseling Kingham & Litty (the dandelion sprites).
Either Crystal and Charles giving being together another shot now that David has been "dealt" with for the time being or Charles figuring out that maybe he's attracted to Edwin too. Or both!
I love that since Edwin is "living" through the modern day he can explore his sexuality finally. In a similar vein a lot of people also see him as autistic, and autism awareness has certainly come a long way from the Edwardian period and now could be a good time for his character to explore this too. Charles in turn could help him by talking about their shared neurodivergent experience as I firmly believe he has ADHD.
Charles opening up more about his parents.
Learning Edwin's family backstory
Cat King having Desire as a sort of absentee parental figure so literally the whole gang can have parental issues. Night Nurse I assume does not have parents so get's to be the mentally stable one in this regard and (try to) help everyone through it.
Niko checking in on her mum. Seeing how she's coping.
Edwin and Crystal bonding over doing magic and getting closer as friends. He maybe even initiates a hug!
Edwin getting to initiate a kiss with someone
Scooby Do episode! (I vote Charles is Daphney, Edwin is Velma, Niko is Shaggy and Cyrstal is Fred, maybe the Cat King or Monty is Scoob).
Despair shows up again.
Maybe now that the boys don't need to run from death they reverse it and actively try to seek her out and talk to her.
Crystal seeing her little ghost friend Emma from the first episode again.
Edwin reading Niko's yaoi. It could even be really funny and bittersweet where when they still think she's dead he's reading it and getting emotional and saying to himself "she really did love love" or "I wish I could read this with her" or something emotional like that and then he flicks to the next page and it's something explicit and he suddenly shuts the book and is like "Enough of that for now" XD
Either Edwin and the Cat King get together. Or become friends. Or Thomas makes friends or something with some other kind of immortal so he's not so lonely. I'm leaning towards them being friends because he would have no issues being the friend that explains what hand jobs and molly is to Edwin. Also since he presents himself in a very ambiguously gendered way I feel like he could get him to talk about why he likes disguising himself as a woman so much. Whether than be introducing him to concepts like gender queerness or drag. It's just honestly both Charles and Edwin are pretty repressed and I think now that the Cat King has started to grow he could continue to really push them in a less intense, healthier way.
Monty and Edwin staying friends. Monty and Charles actually getting to properly vibe.
Jenny figuring out now that the shop is dead if butchering is truly what she wants. Since she did it because she inherited the shop she can really explore her wants without any feeling of obligation to her dad. I love that she's a butcher but I just think it'd be interesting to explore her passion for it without so much baggage.

This is very much a shot in the dark, but in your view of the show is there any chance of Penny somehow coming back? I've seen a couple signs, namely a) her literal last words are "I won't be gone, I'll be part of (Winter)" and b) the Blacksmith's... second words are, with reference to Penny's Maiden Array, "Nothing. No one is ever truly lost."
Factor that in with your belief that Oz's reincarnation curse must be broken, which necessitates at least a dip into the magical/supernatural somewhere down the line. Then add the fact this is the second time she's died under unusual circumstances (it's almost certainly not a mistake that the theoretically rebuildable android is one of the few major casualties of the Fall of Beacon, and given Oz's lack of complete understanding of Maiden physics leaves room for a similar backdoor), and I think there's at least a chance Penny returns in some form.
Really, I guess the question is if you believe this could fit into the story without any troublesome thematic wrangling, or if you think it's more important that Penny remain dead to emphasize the destructive cycle that relentelessly follows all Maidens not named Cinder Fall.
ough it’s been a while since we chewed on penny 3.0 here. the short version is i’m doubtful that it will happen and deeply skeptical of every theory i’ve read as to how she might be brought back, but in light of v9 i do think that penny returning in some form is not completely narratively non-viable if ambrosius did what i think he did.
the core problem with bringing penny back or rebuilding penny (as is oft speculated by the penny 3.0 crowd) is that it flies in the face of the story’s themes; bringing anyone back from the dead is wrong, not because of some bullshit arbitrary rule the brothers made up about death having to be permanent but because this is a world where the natural state of things is a perpetual cycle of life-death-rebirth where, crucially, death is the moment of rest and renewal where all bonds fall away and the soul has absolute freedom to choose what they will become. and anything that abrogates this freedom is wrong.
it’s wrong for the brothers to bar the immortal souls of their creations from ever returning to life, because that’s just a prison – but it’s also wrong for someone still living to pull a dead loved one backwards by resurrecting them, because that’s not the living person’s choice to make. ozma’s reincarnation curse is wrong because it changes him against his will into something he doesn’t want to be. making salem immortal in life was wrong because it’s no different from locking up every other immortal soul in the "afterlife" (which seems to be little more than endless oblivion).
it was wrong for pietro to rebuild penny after the fall of beacon and this is why her arc in v7-8 is a) tragic and b) so intensely focused on her lack of agency and the way she is dehumanized and denied choice by everyone in some way, except winter, from the most egregious extreme of watts’ virus to subtler things like pietro’s remote access or ruby’s initial perspective of “well it won’t matter if she has to be executed deactivated to appease the public because you can just reactivate her again later once this blows over!” – her arc in v7-8 is the narrative thesis against resurrection. penny didn’t choose this, pietro did, and the salt in the wound is that after bringing her back into this child super-soldier living weapon situation he also asked her not to help her friends when they needed all the help they could get, because it was dangerous and he didn’t want to lose her again. (this is not to knock pietro, he’s a great character and his motivations are eminently understandable and sympathetic – but penny is harmed nevertheless.)
thus if penny is to come back it must be by her own choice and her own power; as i discuss in the post linked above, i believe that the instructions ruby gave to ambrosius obliged him to in essence recreate ascension with his own magic in order to dismantle penny without destroying her. and then she died. theoretically this means that penny ended up neither in light’s stasis-afterlife nor in the tree but somewhere like the wellspring of ambrosius’ magic. ambrosius isn’t allowed to bring the dead to life (not can’t, not won’t, it’s “against the rules”), which may prohibit the completion of an ascension-like life-death-rebirth cycle until such time as he’s released from the staff, but the potential is at least—hypothetically—there. but in that case i’d expect her to follow the ascension pattern, and return without her memories; penny polendina died and her soul is reborn as someone new whose heart remembers.
generally i don’t place a lot of stock in “i’ll be a part of you” as foreshadowing – penny is echoing directly what winter told her about fria to comfort her when fria died, and the maidens demonstrably do not work this way and have been stated to not work this way. penny 3.0 theories that hinge on the maiden are honestly a pet peeve of mine, as are most theories of the sort that rely on “well this time it’s different Because Reasons” and of penny is intended to return in any form i am very confident that it will not involve winter or the winter maiden whatsoever except insofar as winter will be glad to see her.
similarly, the mysterious crystal sword haunting ruby in the ever after is not in fact a mystery, it is a physical manifestation of ruby’s grief, as is sundered rose. these manifestations take the form of weapons because ruby is the “weapons are an extension of our selves!” girl – these are representations, symbols for penny and summer in her mind, and the ever after reflects that. see also, ponderstorm. the point is that “nothing, no one, is ever truly lost” is a statement about grief and memory; the blacksmith has penny’s sword because ruby still carries her memories and her love and her devastation.
<- might this also be foreshadowing for penny to emerge from her bootleg ascension cocoon at the end of the story? certainly! it works for that purpose quite well because in that case she’ll emerge different and new yet the heart is always the same. on this, see alyx -> little -> somewhat.
in the event that penny does complete an ascension, i don’t think it can happen until the very end of the story when the god of light has been made to ascend (and darkness too if he’s still around, but i’m placing my bets on ‘dark ascended a long while ago’) and the spirits are all freed from their relics. this is because the journey to getting there quite literally is the journey to rejecting and defeating the divine mandate, you… cannot have penny coming back before the divine injunction against that sort of thing is ended. it’s also, like most everything in this story, an exercise in developing empathy for salem.
the reason i’m skeptical is that i don’t think the narrative is structured in a way that clearly presages penny returning again in some form. if it was in the cards i think there would have been anything at all in v9 specifically laying the foundations. (ascension—and for some reason the character of little*—got the penny 3.0 crowd very hyped, but the narrative does sweet fuck all to draw a connection between penny and ascension and the subtextual associations being made are actually with salem, thus the uncomfortable/nervous “that’s impossible! things have to die… right?” reaction to hearing about ascension, the plug into the storytelling themes via alyx and lewis, jaune’s paranoia, and the tree-is-death-vs-rebirth argument building up to revealing that yeah no salem was right about the brothers. penny’s role in this is restricted to being the sharpest pain ruby is feeling throughout the volume but also—this is the piece that really sinks it imo—being secondary to the deeper all-consuming wound of summer rose.)
*i still think it’s really bizarre that a group of fans who seem to almost universally be penny/ruby shippers latched onto “this mouse who is literally a small child is the reincarnation of ruby’s girlfriend” as enthusiastically as they did like. hello. hello?? i just think that if you infantilize half of your OTP to such an extreme degree that you can’t distinguish that character’s personality from that of an actual like, five year old you have maybe blorboed too close to the sun. at least the “penny fucked with jaune’s semblance to split her soul into various pieces to turn winter and ruby and perhaps this sword into soul jars like some sort of overeager lich” manages to say something interesting about her!

Hear me out tho ... Phoebe/Yen Lo.
wait no you're absolutely cooking.......
1.6k under the cut
okay like an au where yen lo thru his practice of frequently slipping in and out of limbo ended up messing with his magic granting him immortality so as a way to combat that the charmed ones cursed him with a physical empathy so any blows he deals he will feels type deal. we can accelerate phoebe's empathy timeline to really sell that if we want. so yes he can kill someone, but he would go through as close to you could the process of dying, failing to actual die because you're immortal. and yen lo is so unbelievable annoyed by this. he's soooo offended like dude what is your problem. but he's like whatever this is fine this is nbd.
anyway some former student of the zen master's hears that yen lo killed him and is going to avenge his death, so yen lo gets in a fight and aah ouch oof ow!! and he kills the guy and it so terribly fucks him up. and he's like no!!! so he rolls up to the charmed ones like undo this now. and he gets phoebe who's like no no way asshole and he's like you don't understand and phoebe's like don't understand what and either phoebe empaths it or just simply deduces that it's all he knows how to do. clearly the fighters & zen masters have some innate magical quality, like yes they can all levitate which i love as an homage to traditional wuxia movements i literally remember my dad telling me as a kid whenever he would put on his kung fu movies as a selling point he's tell me that in these movies when someone became skilled enough at kung fu, they because able to fly.
ANWAY. yen lo came from a family where he was trained to be an excellent martial artist bc in this world the wirework stunts are not a thing just anyone can achieve through training it has to come with magic / a magical bloodline. so he's born into the warrior family and then what? was passed up? became their flop child? no. so he had to redeem himself in their eyes. so he had to kill the zen master and idk maybe an ling too (something he does not admit but phoebe deduces later) in order to return w honor or continue in exile. and phoebe's like too bad buddy i'm not gonna do that !! so he's like fine i'll just annoy you then. and phoebe's like what no but yep!
just always kind of lingering around with unhelpful commentary and you know he has the water/portal thing idk after phoebe fucks up her job interview or whatever yen lo's in a sprinkler puddle ready to make some dumb zinger when oh no a demon! and he jumps out and saves her by killing the demon so now he's in his mortally wounded phase so phoebe idk gets him to safety maybe using her power (premonition or empathy) and feeling how it works and yen lo's hand she gets him to the manor and just idk leaves him in one of the rooms. and then she's getting a glass of juice or whatever and yen lo just pop's up like you brought me back here. and phoebe's like yeah i mean i could leave the guy with the gaping wound in his chest on the street and yen lo's almost happy for a sec and then phoebe's like i mean, it might looked like i killed you. not to mention you can't die. that's also gonna be a tough one to explain. and yen lo's a lil mad then he's mad that he's mad bc like no that is the obvious answer?? like why else would she? and phoebe's like what were you doing anyway? saving my life? and yen lo's like yeah. who else is gonna undo my curse. and phoebe's like right oh. and yen lo is like well hey now that you owe me a favor..... and phoebe's like no!!!
anyway he still keeps hanging around and he and phoebe become sparring partners because he's like ur form wrong! boo high kick to low! pullback not fast enough! and phoebe's like okay you know what you shut the fuck up! and yen lo's like no >:) if i were to attack you like this and he goes to attack her and phoebe just blocks. and he's like fine but i i were to this. and then she blocks. and then he does like a combo of moves, she blocks and does one swing back. which he dodges. no they're sparring. boom boom boom boom. ooh it looks like phoebe's gonna win. she's got him pinned, she's smiling. but no!! yen leo is back in the game. more sparring boom boom boom boom boom. now yen lo's got her pinned! and she's smirking. through some use of her enviroment (probably the basement) or some use of her powers, it's actually phoebe with the winning move. yen lo realizes this and is like fine. ur high kicks still need to be higher.
so now they're like training together he's teaching her like traditional swordfighting and phoebe's teaching him the more mma style she practices. training montage training montage maybe bc they're so accustomed to how the other fights that they become incredibly good in fights against the demons they face and like. SIDEBAR. when they spar he doesn't feel the blows against phoebe. maybe like the first three total. but in their battle's his curse somehow doesn't seem to be activated. he finally realizes and askes phoebe about it. phoebe shrugs and says because of the wording of the spell, it must only transfer acts of malice. since he's not doing this to hurt her, he doesn't feel it. OKAY. so maybe phoebe usually takes the vanquish bc let's be real it's very difficult to get ur ally home when their organs feel like they've just disintegrated in flames. but there's some battle where oh no sneak attack! and yen lo has to kill the guy rather than let him get phoebe, and phoebe whips around expecting her backup to hit the deck, but no, he seems unaffected, that's weird. (yen lo def knows because he was moving to defend phoebe not attack someone. but like. know he made that move purely out of protection? just a lil too much information you know?)
blah blah blah we're talking about it and we bring up the wrong thing done for the right reasons is still the wrong things (which? do i hate morality bites for this specifically? yes. but the episode eats idc i'm not going to ignore it in canon.) and phoebe gets to talk about her fear that she's not strong enough to not go evil (where's cole in this storyline? maybe she has already accessed dark phoebe. maybe not. who knows?) but yen lo just scoffs and is like no. i've seen you. you're not evil (it's a phoebe character theme!). they leave it on awkward terms.
phoebe's on a date maybe the cole thing ended when in season three when the source killed him idk. oh that would be go brutal for phoebe. go to the underworld to save ur boyfriend, succeed in saving him, but then immediately having both ur sister and your boyfriend die bc of said saving. i don't think i could put her thru that. Anyways. she's getting back in the dating game. it's three dates with this guy and he's fun he's fine i mean she likes him but it's just kind of missing this spark? you know? oh but maybe it's just her because she's holding back and piper's like well why are you holding back? and phoebe thinks and for some reason yen lo pops up in her mind for some god unknown reason and she says that her just last couple relationships have ended up so poorly and she's afraid to put herself back out there and it definitely has nothing to do with her sparring partner with cheekbones that could cut through steel who keeps slipping into her dirty daydreams instead of boring mcwhatever she's currently seeing whoops.
and yen lo's so pissy in this era bc what does she even see in that guy. fuck that guy. so they're arguing even more than usual even while sparring the mouths move almost as fast as the fists and they're getting genuinely pissed at each other because yen lo won't keep mcwhatever's name out of his mouth and phoebe's like dude shut up about him and yen lo's like i'm sorry i don't like to butt in on a boring life and phoebe's like then don't butt in and yen lo's like no and phoebe's like god ur so damaged what do you even care and yen lo's like oh i'm damaged i'm not the one dating someone so devastingly lame because you're too afraid of finding something real you'd rather stay in the shallow end then find something that actually makes you feel something. lowkey kind of you're marrying a man fathoms beneath you because you don't want to risk being betrayed type beat lowkey. and phoebe's so almost speechless like what? i feel things? and yen lo's like that's bullshit and you know it and the worst thing is it is and it makes phoebe so mad that she slips up and yen lo pins her. a beat. they're panting. that was a lot of fighting, in both meanings of the wo- oh. oh they're making out sloppy nasty rn.

Was Mausza's promise to Furie, that when he finds the sanguine star he will know peace and purpose , metaphorical? As in the act of carrying out Mausza's will gives him that purpose - and through that purpose he will find his peace , or does Furie believe it to be something he will experience in itself ? That the guilt he feels for Yules death will literally be wiped clean from him ?
i would say - yes, perhaps it is metaphorical after all. that it is his service and his faith that will bring him peace and healing. but i would also say that her words are entirely false. her promises are untrue and cannot be relied upon, because, in effect, it is she who took yule from him and she'd no intention of doing anything but enslaving his immortal soul. it's she who forced him to become her voice, curious about him since he'd been born a possessor of the creation root (the primordial form of original magic) and could be lied to, could be gaslit, could be manipulated where others could not be (i.e. loux). she was drawn to the innocence and purity of his heart almost especially, the inherent malleability of it. he is too good and righteous to go against her and always was in truth, viewing her as a demanding god but no less worthy of his worship no matter how unforgiving she was.
truthfully, there is no out for him. he is forever locked into his service to her, tricked by a goddess of fate into killing who she needs killed, destroying what she needs destroyed, procuring what she needs procured. for all eternity. she banks on him doing nothing to fight back and, well, has he? no. if she told him to kill himself, he would. if she told him to sever all ties with everyone he knows and cares for, he would. if she told him to eat babies, well, guess who's eating babies? and the worst part about this is the reason he still answers her call, even after she took yule from him - he has nothing to live for without mausza. where he was originally just a cleric, just a cleric, due to be wed at 19, this wasn't enough for her. she needed his complete devotion, no distractions, so she robbed him of the one reason he had to continue living outside of his faith. she took his future from him, the wife and many children he'd have had with her - the memories, the fullest of lives he'd have lived. free and ignorant to his potential, to the existence of the sanguine star, to loux and sortia and their foolish, idiotic plans--
she promises him an opportunity at best, but it's still only a carrot on a stick. she uses his guilt as a weapon against him, his sadness, his grief, cuts him off from other people, preying on him in so fragile a state of mind and being. what once would've been a blessing is now an unbearable curse and only the prolonged influence of another god can dampen her influence over him, unshackle him.
on the flipside, he now knows how petty and vain the goddesses of fate truly are. they are neither wise nor just, but impulsive and cruel pretenders. playing games with their pawns to pass the time in cosmic eternity. he doubts them. he criticizes them. he scorns and blasphemes them even though it literally burns his tongue. but he cannot defy them, cannot defy her, as doing so would mean his friends and allies would be killed in some serendipitously horrific manner - perhaps in much the same why yule was killed. it doesn't matter how much knowledge they possess, how many people they possess and who worship them, nor their power - they do not have his faith. this angers them, though especially mausza, so he sufffers and will continue to suffer until he carries out their chosen task for him. and even then, the suffering may never end.
#☿ || Asks.#➥ Furie.#long /#/ if any of that makes sense?#/ fuu's so-#/ fucked#/ he's entirely fucked from every angle#/ all the guy wants is to live the most boring life possible#/ and it's literally unattainable

Love Between Fairy and Devil Commentary Part 1
Highlights from my text reactions to this cdrama, episodes 1-12!
Part 2 | Part 3
SPOILERS ahead!
did she just magic girl transform herself a new outfit out of petals??
girl who are you praying to you're a god?
what in the dementor soul suckery is this
a little choking is a great way to start a relationship
seeing bare arms in a xianxia is basically like full frontal nudity
you can even bring items with you inside a painting?
omg we are unlocking the devils sauron like final form
the skin is smoother than an instagram filter
what is the first thing a criminal does after escaping from prison? more crime ofc
she really thinks she can get away with a lot because she is cute // everyone around her is an enabler of the pretty cute privilege
soldiers turned to stone?? what in the narnia??
oh mr qingfang you are sexist, in a world where the god of war is a woman??
yeah she just fell to her death but he is definitely gonna catch her in mid air
he is definitely not trying to be lowkey and stay out of prison huh
is langhua fairy orchid girl secretly from the extinct xilan tribe? she is, isnt she (👀)
batman?? // there to collect evil qi?
i totally get why she thinks he is in love with her, but she cant focus on his words, cant she sense the murderous rage?
sauron: angrily wiping tears away
the amount of times she says 'im just an ordinary fairy' the more i am certain she is not
considering he is the moon and she is an orchid, what even is gender
this is like the opposite of bingqiu where he wishes her dead and she thinks he is in love (svsss reference)
THE CURSE ONLY GOES ONE WAY // THIS IS AMAZING
they could have a great dad-daughter dynamic too, my favorite, grumpy father figure who grows to love cute daughter (rip me only seeing the father daughter potential at first)
dfqc: i wanna take a bath // dragon boy: you WHAT
well you dont know this boi, but the story you're in is called 'love between fairy and devil', not 'love between fairy and ice god of war'
is there only one source of dew in the whole forest?
dfqc is a human microwave
ohoho if you say smthing is just legend it is definitely going to be a future plotpoint
i think i refuse to call these people by their names, they shall stay girlie (langhua), sauron (dongfang qingcang), ice god (lord changheng), dragon boy (shangque), jin guangshan (golden boss god) and lady si ming who will be an exception
i really cant look to closely at the ages or i wont be able to escape the pedophilia
now does this invisibility dome follow them around and expand according to how much she moves around, or
this is a cool spot to watch the sunrise, but even her usual house is above the clouds, i dont doubt you can watch the sunrise from there too?
is this the oh moment for sauron
i would DIE if they make him have her menstrual cramps
sauron: i am the worst person in the three realms // girlie: you're so admirable for trying to be the first in even that
this show really satisfies the viewers (me) that enjoy repressed men being forced to feel feelings
if lady si ming feeds girlie flower soup, isnt that basically CANNIBALISM
yes show, you might be putting romantic music over these moments, but sauron certainly doesnt know that
watching sauron throw tantrums is SO entertaining this really satisfies my craving for powerful pathetic men
to become a first class immortal, fairies need to fight DEMONS!? what kind of badass fairies are you hiding
sauron is literally trembling with murderous rage while saying such romantic things this is so funny
the fact that batmans face and voice are hidden makes me think he is someone high up in the fairy realm (👀)
you cant fool me with the white wig, youre still not older than your daughter
if that mirror predicts the future, does that mean langhua is gonna marry ice man in the mortal realm? // oooo is there gonna be an amnesia trial (👀)
wow ice man really is the most eligible bachelor, all these fairies are dropping their panties at this appearance
i feel like ronghao is batman (👀)
magical surveillance footage, svsss style (svsss reference)
i do not understand why they make their fairies fight off demons just to become servants
BABY WHITE BEAR MONSTER I LOVE YOU ALREADY
ronghao, his face is an evil one... i think he is demon dage from eternal love! (eternal love reference)
sauron: me no kill beast?? but he try kill YOU? i mean US!
where is sauron getting his cool outfits from wasnt he in prison for 30000 years
did he just say FORNICATING
now what the ever loving FUCK is this letter delivery system??
girlie is the goddess of xishan (👀)
the firefly imprinted on girlie (twilight reference)
girlie has true main character energy, everyone she meets either wants to fuck her or wants her dead
i love watching sauron weep and hating every second
girlie is not like other fairies
did she just percy jackson herself an airbubble??
plotholes in favor of romantic moments
get you a man that is literally dead inside
sauron be like: oh i got cursed? lemme put my plans for world domination on hold to become a gardener and then slowly fall in love with the plant i am raising
girlie really just left him on a boat in the middle of nowhere
sauron you are being very gentle with her for someone you supposedly cant wait to kill
batman really ripped catwomans outfit open with his metal fingers
so instead of a sorting hat they have a sorting turtle (harry potter reference)
as usual, all knowing wise prophetic beings only speak in RIDDLES
she is the fantasy chinese version of a hatstall (harry potter reference)
'how dare you hurt my woman'
this got really bollywood
now thats a very cunty outfit for this badass display
what the fuck??? what did he just do?? why are we in interstellar water mountain planet all of a sudden?
oblivion river sounds like a river in greek hell
also omg girlie unconscious, sauron holding her, dragon boy standing, the cql parallels!
girlie feels bad for calling him a stanky bitch lmao
this is the mother of dragons scene (game of thrones reference)
'we have sauron at home' and its xunfeng
ice god wants permission to go kill sauron as if he didnt just get his ass kicked by him on HIS OWN TURF
she is like 'i am not like other girls, i wont give in to stockholm syndrome' // too bad she doesnt know the name of the drama she is in
finally a show that adresses how impossible it is to walk with such long robes
dragon boy thinks he got called to have sex with his bosssss

Brief introduction to my core casts
GalacticClan (warrior cats magic rp)
Raven
Male - He/Him
Raven is one of my favourite murder cattos who I originally heavily based off of Zeref from Fairy Tail, and it shows-
He started of quite distant and cold after an accident regarding the death of the SaturnClan leader, which further led to GalacticClan being exiled from their territory under threat of war from the other leaders, and later the exile of his brother Echo, who chose to take the blame for all the death caused (because if you know Fairy Tail, you can probably guess who actually did it). He opened up a little after getting assigned an apprentice, and also meeting a housecat from a nearby village named Pixie :>
But... Things take a turn for the worse and he ends up being influenced into honing his life stealing magic and then taking revenge for how poorly his leader and grandparent, Asterstar, treated him and his siblings... And it goes even further downhill from there <33
So from that you would be right to assume that he is in fact the villain of the storyline!
Pixie
Female - she/her
A little ray of sunshine... Almost quite literally with her light magic!
Pix is Raven's first and (in his eyes) only friend until her death. She would often join him on his patrols (solo or with his apprentice) whether he liked it or not, determined to break his shell. This was something she was infamous for in the village, and earned a reputation for being quite the storyteller.
What changed after she died? Well, first if all, Raven's broken shell built right back up, stronger this time, and he rejected all her attempts at communicating. And after a while she noticed a dark presence with him. Seeing the path he chose to take afterwards as well drove her away. She was sad to have to let him go, but at least she could focus on keeping the rest of GalacticClan safe, and they enjoyed her presence there!
And with that, pix earns her spot as a protagonist <3 a dead one, but still present~
Note- like Raven, Pix was also based off of a character from Fairy Tail: Mavis <33
Pebblefang
Male - he/him
Pebblefang is a warrior of SaturnClan with abilities similar to Dovewing's, being extreme hearing (which he trained himself to drown out). After an accident left him heavily injured and immobilized, some twolegs took him in, and there he met Cecille. They scared him, a lot, at first, but they warmed up to each other quickly as they helped him through recovery. In the end, he managed to convince them to join SaturnClan, relieved that they were accepted.
Big time skip, Raven's return to the clans brought about big changes, one of those being that Cecille was quickly forced into leadership and he could sense that something had changed in them, they had become a lot more... protective of him, insisting he not leave their side. He didn't argue, he loved being around them. (Oh, right, yeah, they became mates like not long before this) And when he found out that Raven had sent out orders for him to be killed, he understood everything.
Pebblefang is a protagonist, but I like to call him Cecille's purpose <33
Pokémon RP
Imperia Selke
Agender - They/Them
Imperia, my little immortal babyy oh how much trauma I have inflicted on this poor... Child? Hmmm... Idk about that one, I mean, 3000+ years? I don't think they would count as a child-
Anyway. Long story short, they're 'cursed' by Arceus for their role in the construction of the Ultimate Weapon, which backfired and ended up destroying all life on earth. They later awoke in the time of Legends: Arceus, and assumes the role of the player, albeit from the past and not the future this time. Here they met their partners, Arc (the guardian Arcanine) and Chomper (an alpha Garchomp), among many other pokemon who travel with them. In the end, they made a deal with God, I mean Arceus, to aid in keeping the world from imbalance and destruction at the hands of people who wish to harness the power of the legends for themselves.
And so they do!
And that leads us to present day, where they find themselves... Back in Kalos, and on the run from Team Flare after a failed attempt and destroying everything they had been working on with the help of explosives. Along the way, they meet Tana, the daughter of Lysandre and a fellow flare escapee. The two of them team up to stop their mission to harness the weapon (which Imperia had no idea about when they first came here, assuming it had been destroyed, trauma go brr-).
And uhh it doesn't stop there, the duo become an unstoppable team as they deal with situations in Alola, Galar, hell even back in Hisui again! Which all leads up to the final story arc, the final showdown against Rainbow Rocket (all held there against their will by a Malamar controlled by Giovanni) because yes.
And here everyone finds out that Imperia can in fact die, and has died many times throughout their journeys!
And it doesn't stop there! Because there are future story arcs regarding the fan region Roria from Roblox Pokemon Brick Bronze, and also Paldea!
Imperia was originally intended to be the villain, but they ended up becoming the protagonist~
(Picrew^)
Vivie
Demi-girl - She/They
Played Pokemon Scarlet, added my character because I felt like it.
Vivie, omg where do I start with her. Attending the Paldean Academy allowed her to do... A lot, one could even say too much-
Every years treasure hunt ended with her having done one bizarre thing after another, from such a young age. Encountering and befriending an ancient, sealed away legendary cat with sword fangs; entering Area Zero and catching a paradox Pokemon, SOMEHOW obtaining a Hisuian pokemon, among a whole number of other crazy feats. Her most notable however, happened after Chien-Pao led her back to Area Zero, and they found a little Zygarde core at the bottom, which then led them to Kalos... And Imperia and Tana.
Tana and Vivie are basically twins, and this was NOT intended, but a very welcome development nonetheless.
Vivie is my ball of chaos, who doesn't even bat an eye at what she has achieved and I love her. She does mellow out in the future due to... Trauma, and reunites with the group when they come to Paldea~
Vivie is also a protagonist :>
(Also picrew^)
Disbelief SMP (Minecraft Roleplay)
I am going even more brief with these guys-
Daiki Vespertine
Genderless - They/Them
The youngest of the Watchers. Daikis in game origin is an Arcanite, a being of pure magic. Over many many millenia they have honed their abilities to perform feats like creating powerful beings and travelling to different universes... And is yet another character sponsored by God! Except this time the creator of the universe is a sheep instead of a Pokemon, and he craves entertainment. Daiki takes the form of a human with canine features, although has many others. They also have their own wolf pack, closely bonded to their alpha Prince :]
Aster Vespertine
Genderless - He/Him
Aster is a feline watcher who took great interest in Daiki's growth. Now however they tend to be there to keep the young watcher grounded if they start overwhelming themselves, acting as an older brother for them.
Fun fact, Aster is terrified of snakes~
Cedar Lightfoot
Genderless - They/Them
Cedar is a small rabbit watcher with an affinity for spores and shrooms! They are slightly older than Daiki and is their closest friend, but they desire to be more than that.
[No design]
Briar Silvius
Female - She/They/It
Briar is what the people of Disbelief would call a Dragonkin, however she would argue otherwise, due to actually being a dragon with a humanoid form that she prefers taking. Her official title is Guardian of the Forests, and it's a role she takes seriously. Briar used to have a lover, but a curse took her away and all that was left was a great tree and small dragon egg that Briar took to raising.
Daiki (Nickname- Foxki)
Genderless (Female leaning) - She/They/It + Neos
Foxki is a... Messed up experiment I guess, the result of what happens when you test means of reviving humans on a dead fox. This baby has a lot of trust issues but, after years and years of struggles, somehow found their way to Disbelief where Daiki, their counterpart from this world, swore to make sure that they can finally live in peace.
These are all very brief (trust me, there's a lot of material on these guys), and there are a lot more characters, but for now...
(Side note, I call some of them villains instead of antagonists because their intent is truly meant for evil)
Everyone here is now open for asks!

xmen oc post wee i still need to work on her face. i have an idea of what i want her to look like i just have to draw her and the various fits i see her in under the cut bc im cringe and not free sorry
fatima mohammed adara as-sihr ; "hex"
born september 13, 1917
physically 26 (107 as of 2024) / she/her / speaks & reads english and arabic
powers were inerhited / X gene was passed from grandmother to mom, and reinforced by her father's. her powers are derivative of nuha (n. arabian sun goddess), ruda (n. arabian moon god), atarsamain (n. arabian astral deity) who she can hear and talk to in dreams in addition to the others. stellar, solar and lunar manipulation as granted by the trinity. on her own, she possesses black magic power - telepathy, telekinesis, reality alteration/illusionism, black magic (curses/hexes), item transformation, occultism, self regeneration (exacerbated by deity granted powers). magic starts a bright green and turns black when being used ie moving things, etc. she also pretty please begged the gods to let her cat be immortal with her. lovecraft has been her cat since 1945.
intelligent, semi-confident, somewhat self-assured and very self-reliant. length of her fuse depends on how fast someone gets on her nerves (which seems to be pretty fast). keeps to herself for the most part for her sanity. suffer in silence type - introverted socially. will open her big mouth if she hears or sees something she doesn't like. would rather die than ask for help. analytical, stubborn. tends to be overcritical of herself a lot of the time and other's especially when she gets upset. chronic worrier. the devil is in the details. she hates being seen by other people but loathes being ignored. very much an outsider in more ways than just one. lover girl. strong sense of justice and believes in an eye for an eye, or more. more than willing to serve it herself. flawed in the way that she thinks she is the worst person in the world and deserves to be alone despite doing nothing wrong. ambitious, cunning.
consistently wears a lot of gold rings on each hand with various symbols/numbers for luck (literally never takes them off) usually black or green painted nails. about 5'2 or 5'3 without heels, about 5'5 or 5'6 with them. civilian clothes are pretty much mostly black outfits meant for different occasions with some accent of gold and/or green to them. tattoo of a wishbone on her ankle. tattoo of the sun, the moon and the north star on her back, on her right shoulder. long dark brown hair, dark brown eyes. wears a jade jasmine necklace from her grandmother.
fatima was born in armenia to a young mom dad (aged 13 and 14) in the duration of the armenian genocide in 1917. her mom turkish, her dad armenian - in trying to move to keep fatima safe, her mother and father left her with her maternal grandparents because they were afraid the ottoman empire would kill her too for being armenian. her parents taken and placed in a death march line down to iraq. her grandparents raised her, and as she got older stranger things would happen as her powers developed - as did her connection with nuha, ruda and atarsamain. at 3, things would disappear and reappear in the house, change shapes and forms as she experienced emotions and changes in her development. by 10, she learned / gained her other powers of telekenetics, telepathy, regeneration.
frequently was responsible for things like getting so upset and shake the surrounding buildings and farms, neighborhood through primary school. mostly, leaving behind acts of defiance and her brand of justice in her wake. her grandparents loved her very much but did not understand her powers - or why she had them. she took care of them up until they both died - her grandmother of breast cancer and her grandfather from a staph infection from cutting part of his leg open on farm sheers. the deities intervened and offered to care for her and guide her, but she needed to leave the middle east. she moved to the united states after she laid them to rest in 1943. allowing the deities intervention stopped her aging process at 26.
she had been on xavier's radar since cerebro's inception in the 1960's, but it was only when a semi-severe earthquake struck her college when she was studying in california in the 70's, causing structural damage and a fraternity house was burned down, runic symbols were burned into concrete, and all the fraternity members were found in their underwear, strung up by their ankles and crying - that it caught people's attention and was cause for concern, particuarly the xmen.
it was also not the first time where an earthquake and arabic text and runes were burned into the ground but proof someone was there that charles could hold against her. previous documented places it occured was not only the college - but through time it's been a documented phenomenon across the united states. after graduating college that semester, she backpacked through europe and left the same hellish trail behind her. she has fought them every time she has encountered them with no desire to join them because of her solitary nature.
after evading the xmen for a few years, she retired to the woods in washington state. she slowly resocialized herself into the small town of north bend - going into town to work, eat, and that's it. she would spend the rest of her time reading, and cultivating a small cabin and greenhouse. getting comfortable, she went in more often and drank at a bar called the drunk cattle. eventually, charles would try again despite her fighting them a few years prior - following another large event like the one at the college, occured in gig harbor - another small town in washington following an attack from juggernaut's attempted forced recruitment for the brotherhood of mutants. fatima had not been seen by the residents of north bend in two weeks when wolverine and storm came asking for her around town. storm was frustrated and wolverine was pissed. charles / cerebro can't find her because she's blocked herself off.
they leave the bar with logan fuming and ororo trying to be reasonable. two teenagers tell them about the lore of a witch that lives in the woods outside of bend and that she's been alive forever. logan scares the shit out of them and they spill that some lady does live in the woods but it's just the town's librarian/historian (she is really weird, never talks to anyone about more than the town or work, never has anyone over. "my dad's the mayor and he says she's nice. jack's mom works at the library with her." "my ma thinks she's a mutant." "you can't say that!" "i'm not! my ma thinks that. i do too.") followed by ororo asking nicely what that means before logan gets pissed off and almost tosses a 15 year old asking what that means.
they settle for what information they have. eventually fatima comes out of her hole and goes back to the bar after a third week. xmen bar intervention. everyone pretends to do their own thing. fatima doesn't really notice or care. it's the cranberry festival and fall faire. it's busier. each of them take turns saying hi to size her up and talking to her. she gives the same dry energy to everyone. smiles with her mouth and not her eyes to anyone. logan takes a stab at it and is annoyingly persistent. she gets annoyed easily and leaves to go to the fall carnival. more watching from the sidelines. logan tries again at charles' request ("she told me to fuck off, so we should fuck off. can't make her do nothin'." "logan, were we not patient with you?" "can't make the lady be an x-man, bub." "she does not have to be an x-man, but she must know she's not alone in the world like some other mutants i know.").
she walks around the carnival and logan talks to her. she's annoyed but she doesn't tell him to go away. he talks at first trying to have a conversation with fatima before getting annoyed and cutting to the chase. we've been looking for you a long time. she looks at everyone in the crowd. that's foolish. a waste of time really. why. 'cause charles believes in that kinda thing, no mutant being alone kinda shit. i'm not alone. i know there's other mutants. no, like bein' a pack animal. i'm no pack animal. i don't talk to anyone and i'm fine that way but thank you. is that all you want? what? to convince me to become an x-man. is that all you want?
i guess. well the offer is on the table if you change your mind. i don't know if it means anything to you i was like you. i don't think we're the same. i don't think so either but you're not alone. what's your name? logan. thank you logan. no problem bub. (forgets to ask for her name. he knows it because the papers know it, and charles knows it but it's different for someone to introduce themselves.)
he does take it upon himself to go back to north bend more often than not to see her and visit her in the bar. they don't do more than exchange maybe a few words and drink in silence. sometimes he'll talk about stuff and she'll nod or offer an apology no one has given him for the pain he's endured. she doesn't introduce herself by name once. you never told me your name. you never asked. what have you been calling me all this time then? i dunno. hex. the whole magic thing. i lke that. but what's your name? fatima.
eventually fatima does become an xmen and leave north bend after pyro burns her home down and threatens the citizens of the town, and after their fight on the washington coast and another set of runes burned into the rocky shores she shows up to the school. some people aren't excited to have her, like scott initially and butts heads with him a lot. she didn't talk to anyone. ororo and jean are happy to have her. jubilee is scared of her at first. hank is polite. gambit and rogue try to be really friendly even if she isn't receptive to it.
at the end she's a happy little member of the x-men <3 she does get a matching besties bracelet with logan (genuinely) where it's one of those silly heart bracelets that magnetically link up. their conversations are still the same but they talk more now. scott still fights with her but they get along sometimes over food or talking about strategy when charles is mediating. ororo and her talk about nature and jean helps her control her powers. jubilee hangs out with her and lovecraft watching tv. she'll borrow hank's books and ask him questions about what he knows and she finds interesting. she fits right in.
#fatima as sihr#the best part of having an xmen oc is that nothing is cringey or too much.#her and logan are besties#according to jubilee#jubilee would love the word bestie#she cannot stand scott most of the time because of her low patience threshhold#but she loves her little family

Oh my god hunter has eye bags because hes literally a reanimated corpse
Also future prediction: Caleb fell in love with Evelyn, followed her to demon realm, Phillip thought he'd been kidnapped bc, y'know, witch hunters were a thing back then, so he follows and tries to get Philip back, somehow gets cursed into whatever the fuck it is now, is upset bc now HE'S the monster, Caleb tries to comfort him w the power of family or smth, belos kills him on accident with the quirk -- or somehow Caleb dies, maybe eventually of old age if Phillip is essentially immortal now as a side effect of his curse idk. But either way Caleb dies, Phillip tries to get him back -- after all, in this godforsaken realm with magic there had to be SOME way to bring back the dead, right? Maybe he thinks the collector can do that from legends, before realizing the collector can't do that but he CAN open a portal big enough for humans to hunt down the witches that killed his brother (or led to his death).
Or maybe there's a space where souls go after the demon realm, maybe that's why we saw kings dead dad (?) In that liminal green space we saw at the beginning of FTF... A space between the demon realm and the human realm (and maybe that's why belos was trying to open a portal between the two, too... To get back to Caleb in that realm). (A space for demon realm souls to go after death would also help king come to terms with the fact that he is The Last Airbender-ing it for his species. May allow Luz and Camilla to see Luz's dad again if all souls go to that space idk). Maybe Hunter exists along with other Grim Walkers so that Belos has company during his immortal years, or a goal to keep in plain sight (after all, it's not HIS fault all his Caleb clones come out imperfect... He resets until he gets it right.)
Also, if eda is evalyn and Caleb's grandkid or descendant or whatever, that makes eda and belos family... Something something the love of family can break all curses (including both of theirs), Luz realizes she has family in both worlds and won't just stick in the human realm ("She's back in the human realm, King... with her REAL family..." foreshadowing??)
And you know what? Fuck it, parallels through time, Caleb and Luz both following a clawthorne through a portal and then falling in love with a witch, maybe while searching for a way to get back home.
Maybe when the collector is ready to smite belos, he asks belos' reasoning and belos just says, I was lonely. I had no family left. And man king and the collector can VIBE with that, somehow that factors in
Also shout out for the out-of-order end memory photo from Luz while trying to extract the memory of the skull -transportation rune of Camilla with glowing eyes from Grom, probably making Camilla realize that as much as she loved her daughter, Luz was SCARED of disappointing her mother, which is what makes Camilla realize she needs to be understanding and supportive instead of protective/'normalizing' or whatever she was being before (though with visible change towards being accepting of Luz as she is evident particularly in Thanks to Them, like with the parenting LGBTQIA+ kids books she has around the house in the backgrounds of the episode and her rainbow pin and her happy receival of Luz's bisexual coming out presentation lol).
Idk I watched this high and still am and I'm just spitballing here to review after the (SOB) final series finale episode :((
For the future spoilers
Okay so I was always like oh Phillip has blonde hair when he’s old because it like faded or something
Cause he’s clearly a brunette, but for the future basically just was like oh yeah he’s blonde because he’s been Possessing the grim walkers of his brother he murdered
That’s why his lil hair floof isn’t pointing up anymore too and is more like Calebs.
This is sooo fuckkkeddd upppppp omg he literally has the bones of his dead brother in him

Overlord v The Triforce
An: hopefully the third draft works.
Chapter 1: We Make Three, Thus you’ll never get rid of me.
-Power-
Far to the south of the human nations sat a little girl named Keno Fasris Invern. Keno was listening to her father's lecture on economics when three things happened. A foul feeling (Draconic Energy, a deep part of her remarked in a masucline voice) overtook her entire kingdom and the neighboring kingdoms, completely silencing it. A different kind of foul energy lashed out from Keno’s body, draining her father’s warmth. Turning her into a vampire.
But the third part was the oddest. A sudden surge of “BURN! MAIM! KILL!” drowned Keno in its wrath, only to be ...muzzled and pushed deep into her soul by the Draconic Energy and a third and fourth energies. The third was sand, wind, and death. The fourth could only be described as Power Itself.
“Finally, the Calamity/Curse shuts up.” The voice breathed a deep sigh of relief. “While the Curse isn’t gone, merely weakened, I can finally hear myself thinking again. Something you will prize after millenia trapped under a castle with only an unholy screeching beast as company.”
“Dad? Why did you stop?” Keno asked. Her father’s eyes lacked an inner light.
Frightened by her dad’s lack of response and the voice, Keno ran to her mother. Who also lacked the inner light and didn’t respond. Next she went to her siblings, and they too lacked an inner light. The guards, maids, butlers, and various other castle dwellers that weren’t the Royal Family all failed to respond and lacked Inner Light.
“My name is Ganondorf Dragmire, King of the Gerudos and Unending Scourge to Hyrule.” Ganondorf said, cutting through Keno’s panic attack. “I can teach you how to exact vengeance upon the dragon who dared to do this.”
“Okay. let’s say I believe you, how will you teach me?” Keno timidly asked the voice after looking around for a minute.
Her shadow lengthened as a literal tree branch bubbled up. Keno knew from her ‘Ganondorf’ part that it was the literal weakest weapon (and variant) that she-he-they could create. Keno obligingly took the tree branch out of her shadow and turned to face the red goblin-like creature that bubbled up.
“This is a Red Bokoblin, the absolute weakest of our forces. Only good for basic manual labor outside of war time and pushing enemies to our stronger minions through sheer weight of numbers. That’s if you don’t let them loose on enemy supply lines. And if you don’t take the time to give further education than what can be fit during their creation.” Ganondorf said. “While I’ll teach you many things such as war and peace time rulership. Magic and Curses. How to stay sane while trapped for millenia and how to break seals while inside them. How to be extremely annoying to your fellow immortals. But the most important lesson starts now.”
The Red Bokoblin pulled a copy of Keno’s tree branch from its shadow.
“All of your plans will be thwarted eventually. Your hordes and associated empires will fall. If you're unlucky then said hordes will not have taken out the other nations. Either way. It will always come down to you vs how many enemies you have left. While in the past World it was usually the Princess of Wisdom and the Hero of Courage, I can not guarantee that it will be a 2vs1 in this World. But for now we will focus on one vs one combat.” Ganondorf said.
“Wait there’s another world?” Keno asked but alas the Bokoblin rushed her forcing a panicked dodge.
-Wisdom-
Renner Theiere Chardelon Rye Vaiself frowned at the chess board. Ignoring her elder sister’s taunts and drawing upon her accumulated knowledge. In five moves there was a way to utterly humiliate her foolish elder sister. But there was another way to permanently prove the worth of reading so many books in 20 moves. Renner decided to be the better person and do the 20 moves.
“How kind of you.” Said a female aristocratic voice in Renner’s head, once the elder sister left.
“Who's there?” Renner glanced around in a hurry.
“There is nothing to spot. I am part of your soul.” The voice said. Before proving that statement by stating several embarrassing facts about Renner’s childhood that only Renner could know.
Renner breathed in. “Okay so you’ve been part of my soul since birth or close enough to not matter. Why didn’t you speak before hand?” Renner thought-spoke to her soul symbiote.
“Three reasons. The First is that your soul/personality only has recently stabilized. If I interacted beforehand then you would just be my metaphorical hand puppet. Secondly I was observing this world and its plights. Thirdly, I lacked the Power to actually demonstrate abilities so I could properly teach you.” The symbiote said.
“How did you gain the Power? And why can I hear the capitalization?” Renner thought as she sipped some tea. “What will you be teaching me?”
“Soul Resonance and simply time. I am Soul Bound in three ways. First of which I am Soul Bound to the Goddess of Time, Hylia, of which I am but a mere fragment of. My name is usually Zelda, of the Hyrule Royalty. Though usually the second way triggers when I am a princess. The Second is applied to me and The Hero of Courage, so long as we exist so too will the Curse of Demise. Demise was a Demon God in your tongue back in my first life. This contributed half of my reluctance to making you my hand puppet, the other half was of course morality.”
“The Third way I am Soul Bound is to the Triforce, a wish granting artifact given to Hylia by the three Golden Creator Goddesses. Though unless you have an equal amount of Power, Wisdom, and Courage in your soul then it will split into the three pieces. I am the Wielder of Wisdom. I have sensed the Triforce of Power close to our position (within national borders) but strangely untainted.” Zelda lectured. “Ganondorf Dragmire is always the Wielder of Power but constantly gets overtaken by Ganon, his personification of the Curse of Demise.”
“So by untainted, you mean Ganon is weaker and/or suppressed by whoever holds Ganondorf’s soul?” Renner asked,
Zelda nodded. …somehow.
“So where is Courage? Is Gazef or Lakyus Courage?” Renner asked.
“No. But it is inevitable that we will cross paths with Courage.” Zelda said. “Especially if we tackle the Eight Fingers. But before we can start dealing with that …mess, we need resources. The first lessons help with those problems. First we set up a Power/Energy cycle to create an environment for reagents to grow. We do that by manifesting our own Power as tokens (Rupees for my previous World and Gold Coins for this one) thus stimulating the economy and the ecology.”
“So we’ll be able to boost our fighting ability and hopefully draw in Ganondorf, right?” Renner asked.
“Yes, but mostly we’re doing this for the fighting ability.” Zelda said. “This is the only way to get our troops up to par in your lifetime at this development level.”
-Courage-
“HALT IN THE NAME OF THE LAW!” Shouted a guardsman chasing after a thief.
The thief dodged and weaved through the market as the cops desperately wadded through the masses. A boy with the strange name of Climb only had a second to react before the thief reached him. Climb purposely stuck his leg out, tripping the thief.
The thief tried to stab Climb as he fell but the thief was inexperienced and thus easy to dodge. Climb stomped on the knife-holding wrist, forcing the thief to let go.
“Thank you for your help, kind citizen.” Said one of the guards.
Climb nodded as the guards picked up the thief. On the thief’s right arm was a small tattoo of a eight fingered hand.
“That was definitely a criminal symbol..” A small part of Climb whispered after Climb had returned to his home.
Climb looked around his hovel.
There was a zombie-ghost knight standing in his doorway, Climb jolted upwards as he grabbed his sword and …exhaled? Climb blinked, took a deep breath and exhaled for the guards again.
The zombie walked closer and shook its head.
“I am sorry, but I am borrowing your voice to speak.” The small part of Climb whispered in his mind as the zombie flapped its lips. “Throughout the eons I have lost my voice one way or another. Some from a simple vow of silence, others lost in battle.”
Climb clicked his tongue, straightened his back, and charged the zombie. The zombie smiled as it easily deflected Climb’s untrained blow, raised its rusted circular shield to catch the boy, and twirled to send the boy crashing into his bed. …though a feather-like barrier prevented any damage from occurring to the room.
“As for alerting the guards to my presence after I leave.” The zombie shook its head once more. “They will only declare you insane and punish you for wasting their time. We are leaving no evidence after all.”
Climb stood back up, gritted his teeth, before he charged once more, this time ducking underneath the zombie’s deflection blow. Climb’s sword scraped against the zombie’s chestplate, Climb could still see the zombie’s smile through the sparks. The zombie dropped its sword, which dissipated into golden sparks, and grabbed Climb by his shirt’s collar. Which brought him to eye level with the zombie.
“If I am born again, that means this nation, if not the entire world, will need our presence on the royal stage.” The zombie red eye glowed. “Judging by the low energy levels, we have a breathing period of a few years, maybe nine, maybe six, or maybe even 3. I can not tell through your senses, but something is building to a crescendo, so from sunset to midnight I will be training you. Do not worry, the space I naturally generate around me will not negatively impact any other training you will undergo, and you will have the full stamina as if you rested from sunset to sunrise. Either way, that criminal organization will generate practical experience.”
Climb futilely sliced and punched the zombie’s hand. It was only after the zombie had finished its monologue that it let Climb fall on his ass.
“I am the Hero’s Shade from another world and I will not let this world fall.”

First draft below, revised as a blooper.
Princess Renner of the Re-estie Kingdom called her personal Knight Climb and her (basically personal) Adventurer’s group Blue Rose to her chambers. Lakayus placed a tray of food and drink on the table Climb carried in. Gagran pulled in seatings around Renner’s bed while Evileye, Tina, and Tia secured the room.
Renner waited for her friends to finish their tasks and sit down. “This will be shocking but this is not my first life. Nor even my thousandth.”
The others blinked in confusion.
Renner smiled and held up her hand with the back to them. Then clenched it revealing 3 golden triangles in a triangle formation, strangely only the bottom left triangle was actually filled in. “To summarize literally millenia, I am the Fragment of the Goddess Hylia that is (or was) Incarnating through the Royal Bloodline of Hyrule. My most common name was Zelda.” Zelda? Renner? Unclenched her fist and the triangles disappeared. “Despite dedicating this Lifetime (up to this point) to searching, I haven’t found Hyrule nor any other nation I know of. The species that formed said nations are also gone, save the Hylians though you call them Elves.”
“So why haven’t you run off to the Elves then, if you spent so much time as one?” Gagran questioned.
“I was born to this royal family, thus I will dedicate at least this lifetime to this nation.” Renner answered while folding her hands on her lap. “Besides, this rare chance will help with my inter-species diplomacy.”
Lakaysus nodded in understanding. “What were those Golden Triangles?”
“That was the Triforce, a wish granting artifact if all three pieces are assembled.” Renner rubbed the hand the Tri Force appeared on. “Hylia tasked her descendants to protect it while She maintained Time Itself, I like many Zelda’s before me have the Tri Force of Wisdom. While the most obvious function is better magic and bigger mana pools, it also allows me to consult The Past. Whether that means the Past Incarnations of Hylia or the Past Incarnations of the Spirit of The Hero or simply the Past of the World Around me. Previous Zelda’s have used the World Bit to question where Monsters laid and where Armies are Marching.”
Evileye snorted with annoyance and deep satisfaction. She waved away the room’s attention.
“No wonder Ganondorf was so mad that Malice started spawning.” Climb shook with laughter. “And how you kept directing me to the needed spots.”
Evileye suppressed a twitch. While Renner pulled Climb into a hug, Climb held up his clutched fist to the room. Showing that the bottom right triangle of the Tri-Force was filled in.
“I was named Link in quite a few Lives, nearly all of them preferring to stay silent for one reason or another.” Climb said after untangling himself from his princess. “Other than that weird time with the Falling Moon, I was Hylian as well. Specifically Zelda’s personal Knight in a good number of them.”
The ninja twins giggled. “History repeats itself-” “-Yet Again.”
“So what does your Tri-Force piece do?” Evileye asked.
“I don’t have a normal body. Instead of a wound and bleeding, any and all damage is done to my ‘Hearts’ which I can increase in numerous ways.” Climb explained. “I can also see other things Hearts, like other Hylians, the various Forces of Ganondorf, and items. For items I can also see how much damage they can output in Hearts. And most recently it allowed me to speed up while attacking if I Dodge Perfectly.” Climb shrugged. “How that equates to Courage, I will leave Renner to contemplate.”
Renner sighed. “If you are here then that means the Entirety of the Tri-force was summoned to this world.” Renner and Climb groaned.
“Well this time there are no guardians for Ganondorf to take over.” Climb consoled. Renner nodded.
“I’m guessing the Third Holder is an Enemy to Hyrule?” Gagran asked.
“Not just to Hyrule but to the entire world, many lifetimes the nations banded together because of his evil.” Renner said. “Sometimes even his species the Gerudos themselves joined the Grand Alliance. Though the largest (and smallest) alliance was our previous one. Where Ganon subverted all of our Kingdom’s defenses in an hour, turning them against the citizens. Link had to be taken to a place of healing for a century while I trapped the now Calamity ganon inside Hyrule Castle.” Rebber hugged herself and looked downwards to the side. “I don’t know if I can do it again so soon.”
“Well hopefully Ganon is trapped between worlds or something.” Climb rubbed Renner’s back. “I certainly felt him resisting the Extreme Summoning Magic, so either he's trapped in a worldless void or somewhere far off.”
“Nope.” Evileye countered. “It was C, the distant past.”
“Of course.” The others muttered. “We should have seen that one coming.”
“I was just following the Rainbow Eyes naming practice.” Evileye said. “Unfortunately before I could make any lasting changes to that kingdom, Dragonic magic fell and turned everything undead. Of course since I was the only thing left alive. ...or well left with my sanity, I was quite unfairly blamed as the Root of it.”
Lakayus tapped her chin. “Undead kingdom?” She frowned before jolting upwards. “You are Landfall?!”
“Yep.” Evileye shrugged. “Still haven’t found that Dragon, I hoped to bring it on my next conquest of Hyrule but that Summoning Magic User seems very far away. Even if they do cast their spell once a century.”
Renner looked at Evileye’s tiny body. “You waited ten years before enacting any changes?” She crossed her arms. “I really doubt you have that much patience.”
“I said Lasting Changes, or do you need to Consult the Past to remember not five minutes ago?” Evileye condescended back. “I’ve been imprisoned for centuries, so a mere ten years was nothing.”
“If you have been doing this for literal millenia, why not try a political marriage?” Gagran asked.
The Tri Force wielders facepalmed. Or in Evileye’s case, maskpalmed.
“Nobu did have a political marriage but with the Sheikah, forming the modern day Yiga Clan.” Evileye remembered. “But alas even if I wasn’t Incarnated during that Century, the Curse of Demise once again struck. Demise Cursed the Hylian Royal Bloodline and The Spirit of the Hero to be forevermore struck by strife. Usually by yanking me towards blind hatred towards Hyrule, completely ignoring the valid complaints of Little farming land or not sharing the Sheikah Advancements. In favor of BURN! MAIN! KILL!”
The room jolted as Evileye suddenly shouted.
“That got extremely annoying after the First Hour. In the First Lifetime.” Evileye giggled. “And now I don’t hear the yelling anymore.”
“So that's why you never used advanced tactics like using Lynels backed up by Wizzrobes.” Climb pondered. “Wait can you still create Monsters?”
In response a red Goblin-like creature rose out of Evileye’s shadow, waved to everyone and sank back in. “If Calamity Ganon was good for one thing only, it was to further my Monster Creation/Corruption Skills.”
“Did the Bathurth Empire get the brunt of Demise’s curse?” Climb asked.

Second Draft Below:
Link and Zelda looked through the caverns below Hyrule Castle. There they found the source of Malice and potentially Sheikah Energy. A dehydrated corpse with bright red hair and bronze skin. A corpse who snapped its- no His neck to stare at the Princess of Wisdom and the Knight of Courage in their current incarnations. The unending tendrils of Malice coiled but before the Malice Tendrils struck, all Three Chosen of the Goddesses felt a tug. On their souls and their Triforce Pieces.
A portal of shimmering Platinum appeared at the top of the cavern. The Oldest Part of Zelda, the Princess of Sky and the Closest to Hylia, knew that the Platinum Portal wasn’t in any of the Goddesses or Demise’s Domains. Tendrils shot from the portal and attached to the Triforce Pieces before straining to detach the Pieces from their bearers.
The King of Power and The Curse of Demise’s Main Victim ...Did not agree. Dehydrated and drained of energy for millenia, the King of Power couldn’t manifest enough strength to shatter the Extreme Summoning Magic. Luckily for the tripartite existence, He didn’t have to.
The Princess of Wisdom and the Knight of Courage were unprepared for the strength in the tendrils and the bonds between Eternally Chosen and Triforce Piece were unbreakable. Thus Link and Zelda were sucked into the portal, though it was fragmented by Power’s rage.
Unfortunately for whatever dwelled on the other side,
You who possess the blood of the Goddess and the Soul of the Hero shall forever be unable to escape from this curse!
The Last Words and Curse of the Demon King Demise activated once more. Propelling Ganon and Ganondorf Dragmire into the portal.
Of course a trans-dimensional portal is finicky business.

An: I got the title from Natewantstobattle’s Evil King Song. Inspired by the Ocarina of time game. As a whole the Triforce got a Nickelodeon Avatar the Last Airbender/Legend of Korra style Reincarnation Method. Where you can ask your past lives for advice.
I am unsure if Renner should have access to the Bow of Light and Light Arrows, Climb with the Master Sword and Hylian Shield (summoning them from the Courage Piece/his Soul) by the time Nazarick rolls around, I do know however, Evileye only has access to the regular enemies in Monster Creation and all items in BOTW. So no Blights or Divine Beasts, no Zant. no Dark Links. etc. hesitant on if she could handcraft new specialized monsters/bosses. The blights in lore were purpose made to counter the Champions. At least by the time Nazarick rolls around.
I don’t know if Evileye will be able to mass produce the minions at the Hyrule Warriors level or the standard BOTW level. Hyrule warriors because I've often heard that Overlord is a Musou/Dynasty Warriors type story. Though the designs are the BOTW incarnations.
First Blood goes to the Overlord. Because I don’t want a bog standard Zelda Cycle (Like Nazarick plopped into existence in Ganon’s Razing Path to Hyrule) but in Overlord’s New World. It's a different world so different things should happen.
If you want to see a ‘Zelda Marries Ganondorf to break the cycle’ congrats, there’s a loooooooong comic about that: its called A Tale of Two Rulers by FigmentForms on Tumblr and a decent chunk of it is dubbed by Starbot Dubs on youtube.
ch2:
=Power=
The Invernia castle had seen better days. There were malformed goblins and trolls infesting the castle and surrounding lands.
------------
Evil eye overheard her leader’s delusions.
“Shall we make her delusions fact?” Ganondorf asked.
=Wisdom=
Yellow light swirled inwards, collapsing from a room sized mass into a small handful of Gold Coins. One side had the symbol of the Triforce and the other side had the symbol of Re-Etize.
=Courage=

actually i'm not done. nightsong was actually the symbol of eternal love that shar "wanted" to silence. i say "wanted" because she didn't actually (imo) want to kill her forever: nightsong's immortality was extremely useful, because it meant sharrans could always come to kill her and prove their faith in shar by doing so.
nightsong is eternal love because in a hundred years she never stopped thinking about isobel. love is life and life is good you know how the saying goes. her constant love for isobel, her eternal hope that her lover would come back to her was the nightsong. the song that disrupts the quietness of shar's night.
because shar's promise to her faithfuls is silence. it's to silence and sorrows. you have to let go of your emotions, to experience complete loss... which, in the face of a tragedy, sounds great at first glance: your pain is unbearable, so just drown it in darkness. in the sharran book "teachings of loss: the nightsinger" we learn that shar, the nightsinger, hates the nightsong. she is the little flame of hope that never dies, and thus, can make shar's faithfuls turn away from Loss and embrace life again. shar's own survival is at stake.
funnily enough the nightsinger doesn't sing the nightsong. the nightsinger sings the night and the nightsong is the song trying to cover the night's song. (lots of songs here)
sharrans, by killing the nightsong over and over again for a century, not only ensured sharran faith survived, but also literally had to kill the manifestation of what was left of their happiness to better serve shar. and they had to do this under the guise of finally getting rid of their trauma, when actually they killed the only thing that could have healed them.
this is well played on shar's part, because after all, the nightsong may be eternal love, but she's also eternal sorrow. isobel is dead and nothing could ever hurt the nightsong more. she loves her still but her death makes this love bittersweet. so sharrans really are under the impression they're killing a sad, lonely prisoner (which is what they are. btw.), symbolizing the life that wasn't worth creating (as per "teachings of loss" again). if life is pain, why do you want it to exist?
the nightsong isn't even chained. of course, she's soul caged, so chains aren't really necessary, but she's just. standing there. BUT. if she tries to even make an aggressive gesture, spectral hands appear to restrain her. the hands of hate. the hands of shar.
like. shadowheart can just. walk towards her and touch her. nothing else necessary. the shadowfell's power is strong enough to emprison the nightsong, but the second another flame of hope appears, it can be broken. when shadowheart lays her intact hand on nightsong's shoulder, it's a still doubtful but friendly hand. this is all it takes. the prison didn't rely on strong magics, but on pain and hostility. hope - shadowheart's hope to find answers - is enough to break the nightsong's cage. and from there all her powers come back, selûne's light can shine THROUGH THE FUCKING SHADOWFELL.
in turn, nightsong is brought to life - actual existence as a free being - again. and if there's light there's hope, and thus you know shadowheart will get answers, and the shadow-cursed lands be free again. the nightsong is no more because there is no night to sing in anymore.
and of course then you know it was never futile to hope because isobel came back to life but that's another thing
when shadowheart "lays a hand on [nightsong] in friendship" and it's her intact hand. not the one bearing the sharran wound and that held the spear. thus breaking the cycle of violence by choosing her own path and choosing love
