Love it when people get invested in my nonsense ideas. It’s lovely :)

-Aaron uses she/they but more as a ‘wants to use she/her but doesn’t want to be too much of a nuisance’ way than an ‘actually comfortable with she/they’ kind of way.

-She’s not sure about medically transitioning because the idea of surgery and stuff is a little scary. And not to mention going to therapy sessions is just a little awkward for her. However, if she ever opens up to the idea of it, Aphmau already has a bunch of therapists and doctors numbers memorised to ask them for their recommendations and for booking sessions and everything.

-the first thing Dante said to her after finding out was ‘at least you won’t need to worry about top surgery’ and poked her boob.

-Aphmau and Nana love doing Aaron’s makeup and trying to teach her how to do it herself.

-Travis was only really good for telling her about groups that help trans people out and resources to find things out about the medical and legal side do things. He says he’s too much the other side of trans to actually give any good words of encouragement.

-She’s strict about her parents not finding out, and was too about her siblings. But Melissa found out through Zianna and her big mouth. She actually felt really bad that she didn’t make Aaron feel safe telling her this stuff.

-Aaron isn’t sure on another name she wants to use. She’s fine with Aaron for now, even though it sometimes feels icky. Aphmau keeps suggesting A names because she wants to continue to match.

-Garroth has been growing a beard and working out more so that he seems more masculine than Aaron does as his own small way of helping.

-Garroth also called Aaron pretty once and she got all flustered. So it’s just become a very common compliment in their house for her.

-Aaron came out immediately after her partners collectively bought her a bra as a gag gift. For her giant honkers.

-she’s fine with her kids calling her dad. However baby Alina calls everyone with long hair ‘mama’ (much to Aphmau’s annoyance) so she calls Aaron mama too. And she likes that a lot.

-She gets huge gender envy about Katelyn (especially when she’s buff)

-She’s started smoking more since she figured it out because it’s just a big source of stress and smoking helps.

-Laurence takes her shopping for some more feminine clothes sometimes with Cadenza, when she’s feeling brave enough, since Laurence and Cadenza the two most stylish members of the cast (ignoring what Laurence wears in canon), but they both end up buying more clothes than Aaron does.

writing advice for characters with a missing eye: dear God does losing an eyes function fuck up your neck. Ever since mine crapped out I've been slowly and unconsciously shifting towards holding my head at an angle to put the good eye closer to the center. and human necks. are not meant to accommodate that sorta thing.

Oh look, it seems like there's a Republican-led movement to purge voter rolls in the lead-up to the election! It's almost as if your vote matters and they don't want you to vote! Anyway, I whipped up a quick map (based on this) that shows when the voter registration deadline is in each state. There are a few deadlines coming up in the next week or so.

If you live in a state that regularly purges voter rolls for infrequent voters (the orange ones in the first map), or if you moved recently, it's good to check if you're still registered to vote.

Vote.org makes it super easy to check your registration: https://www.vote.org/am-i-registered-to-vote/

Just put in your address and DOB and they'll tell you whether you're registered. (And they give you a quick link to register online if it turns out that you're not! Only the 9 states in white on my map don't have online registration, and for those they provide instructions on how to do it via mail or in person.) If you want an extra verification, find your state's election website and double-check there.

So yeah, give yourself peace of mind -- do a quick check. :)
