Light up the Fire Event Story Summary

TL;DR: Some time after Vivid BAD SQUAD's highly successful third event, Taiga calls them and their allies to a meeting in the streets. He tells them that they'll never surpass RAD WEEKED, before revealing the truth of Nagi's death. He then immediately challenges them all to a street battle, effortlessly destroying all of them. EVER, Kotaro, and Arata all decide to give up on surpassing the legend. An is still in shock.

Ken brings them all back to WEEKEND GARAGE and explains RADder's past, as well as the origin of RAD WEEKEND.

RADder had been performing together ever since they were kids. Though they'd found success with a record label, conventional fame wasn't for them, so they quit and formed their own label. Touring was difficult, so after An's birth, they decided to focus on recording so Ken could help her grow up.

When An was around ten years old, Nagi was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer and given five more months to live. After watching An's passion for singing, she decided to end her life by putting on one final show- RAD WEEKEND. Nagi's hope is that the event will light the fire of the next generation to carry her dream forward.

A few weeks before the event, Nagi called the whole town to a meeting. There, she revealed her diagnosis and asks a few favors: that they all come to the event, that they pretend she's still alive even when she's gone, and that they never tell An the truth.

RAD WEEKEND was a huge success. Nagi was thankful for everything singing had given her. Taiga decided to continue singing abroad, and Ken decided to start WEEKEND GARAGE and help the street's youth grow.

Shortly before she passed away, Nagi explained why she didn't want An to know about her death. She knows An will be one of the people who will carry her dream forward and surpass that night. If An learns, then she'll associate singing with loss and lose this dream forever. It's sad not being able to say goodbye, but Nagi knows it's for the best. She died a week later.

Though An is still distraught over Nagi's death, she resolves to keep fighting to surpass that legendary night. The rest of Vivid BAD SQUAD is right behind her.

Chapter 1: Rin and Len serve Vivid BAD SQUAD food while MEIKO's out. They show the two the recording of their most recent event as a reward. Akito praises Kohane's performance, and while An doubts her ability still, she's determined to reach her goal. Toya notes that the whole town seems to be cheering them on now.

Taiga's leaving for a US tour soon, so he had asked Vivid BAD SQUAD and their allies to meet him that evening for something important. Rin realizes that An left her handkerchief and goes to return it.

At the meeting, Taiga praises them all for putting on such a spectacular event. He's impressed by all of their growth. However, he's certain of one thing: they will never surpass RAD WEEKEND.

Chapter 2: Taiga reveals that the reason RAD WEEKEND was so big was because it was also Nagi's farewell. She died shortly after the event. The rest of the town lied about it to protect An, at Nagi's request. Though An denies it at first, she slowly realizes that Nagi truly is gone.

Taiga immediately challenges them all to a street battle.

Chapter 3: A crowd begins to form. Despite Taiga's power, Akito urges everyone to face this battle head-on. Taiga picks EVER to go first. Though EVER does well, Taiga destroys them. He chooses Kotaro next. However, the pressure gets to him and he fails. Arata chooses to go next. Even though he knows the truth now, he's still going to carry Souma's dream. Arata sings even better than he ever has, but Taiga still easily defeats him. Taiga questions if he's just trying to cling on to what he has left of Souma.

Vivid BAD SQUAD is last. An freezes, still processing Nagi's death, while Kohane, Akito, and Toya face Taiga. They're struggling, however. An musters up the determination to sing and goes with everything she has, motivating her friends to do better, too. An can't stop thinking about Nagi and falters. Taiga taunts her about it, so An sings back with everything Nagi gave her. Vivid BAD SQUAD ends up finishing their song successfully.

Taiga recognizes Vivid BAD SQUAD's skill, the "next generation" Nagi always talked about. Still, he shuts them down with a performance of a song from RAD WEEKEND. Seeing their defeat, the town leaves, certain nobody will ever surpass it.

Chapter 4: Taiga arrives at WEEKEND GARAGE shortly after the battle. He tells Ken that An knows the truth now.

Arata leaves the group, defeated. He's given up on this dream after not being able to face Taiga. EVER follows, certain they won't beat him. Kotaro beats himself up over not being able to perform under pressure and runs away.

Ken finds the Vivid BAD SQUAD in the alley. An starts yelling at him for lying about Nagi's death. Ken takes them all back to WEEKEND GARAGE to explain everything.

Ken and Taiga met in middle school. Taiga hated his lack of passion in anything, so he showed him street singing. Ken, moved by the performance, began singing too. Nagi joined the group shortly after. They eventually officially formed a team. After a successful debut at Crawl Green, they signed with a record label and started a career as professional musicians.

Chapter 5: They quit the record label due to creative differences. What mattered most to RADder was the music, not fame. They decide to start their own record label, despite the challenge. Touring was difficult, but rewarding.

After An was born, Nagi instantly fell in love with her. The group decided to pause touring and focus on recording so Ken could spend more time with An.

A decade later, things are going strong. They have a tour planned for the US. However, Nagi's health is failing. She reveals she's been diagnosed with pancreatic cancer and only has 5 months to live. There's no cure.

Everyone is distraught over the news. Nagi wants the others to determine the future of RADder. Taiga doesn't want to lose his sister.

Chapter 6: Nagi doesn't know how to process her own death. Still, An wants to practice singing with her, so she puts on an act to not worry her. Watching An grow reminds her of how much the town means to her. An mentions wanting to perform with Nagi one day, and while she knows it will never happen, a part of her wants it to be true.

Nagi tells Taiga and Ken that she wants to end her life by putting on one final event. She wants to inspire all the kids in Vivid Street to continue singing, to carry their dream to the next generation. Ken's on board, but Taiga doesn't want to give their dream away. He wants to sing with Nagi's dream instead.

Ken asks when Nagi's going to tell An about her diagnosis. She reveals that she probably won't.

Ken gathered up all their old rivals and friends, and Nagi convinced the owner of COL to host the event. Despite her poor health, Nagi is putting everything she has into the event.

Though she tries to hide it, Nagi gets nauseous at the end of practice. Her condition is worsening quickly. She's not sure she'll make it long after the event. She wants to watch An grow up and keep singing with her. She doesn't want to die.

Chapter 7: Nagi reveals her diagnosis to the rest of the town, spare the kids. She reveals RAD WEEKEND as her final event, and wants everybody to come. She also asks the town to pretend she isn't dead when she does leave. The owner of Crawl Green decides the story is Nagi went abroad to learn about singing in different cultures and languages, so it's like she never stopped chasing her dream. Finally, Nagi asks that the town never reveals her death to An.

The night of RAD WEEKEND arrives. Nagi thanks them all for doing this. Nagi sings with everything she has left. The energy in the venue is like nothing they'd ever seen.

After the event, Taiga reveals his decision to keep singing, for himself. Ken decides to stay on Vivid Street and foster the next generation. Nagi will cheer them on from the grave.

Nagi is now unable to leave bed. Ken and Taiga go visit her. They end up talking about An and her excitement to follow in Nagi's footsteps. Though Nagi's sad she won't be able to say goodbye to An, she knows it's for the best. She's certain An will be one of the ones to surpass her. Nagi doesn't want An to associate singing with her death, and then never sing again. Only when she's strong enough should she know.

Nagi passed less than a week later.

Chapter 8: An starts crying. She wanted to thank her for everything, and for her to meet Kohane and Akito and Toya, and see her surpass RAD WEEKEND, and perform on stage together.

Ken is confident that they will surpass RAD WEEKEND and carry Nagi's dream beyond where even she could. Knowing the faith Nagi placed in her, An resolves to keep working towards that legendary night. Toya's done running, and Akito's determined despite the challenge. Kohane wishes she could have meet the Nagi An loves so much, and will continue to follow them all.

Meanwhile in SEKAI, Rin keeps crying. She'd ended up hearing everything and told the rest of the Virtual Singers. They resolve to continue helping the kids however they can.

Ken listens to the kids decide their next move. He hopes Nagi sees how incredible they all are, and decides to help them out however he can.

none of the members had the greatest experience with music. haruka developed trauma from the idol industry, shihos perfectionism kept her from being in a band, akito learned of nagis death, and mizuki made amvs never to be shown due to being bullied. akito, however, still did street performances: alone. haruka spotted the ginger rapping; she was in awe. she never listened to rap but she loved the song. at the end of akitos performance, akito recognizes the blue haired girl; ena watched her sometimes as a kid. they have an awkward conversation and that was that. until they meet in the sekai. they were very confused. what do you mean they were destined to sing together with two other strangers? WHO were the other two? even if they were technically partners, haruka never sang outside of the sekai due to anxiety. shiho discovers untitled on harukas phone during lunch and discovers that shiho is also a part of the group. at first shiho denied but she slowly built a bond for the place and the group. mizuki discovered their love of rap by her classmate, an. they started to make amvs for certain songs. one day, they find untitled. (i honestly cant think of much for this group bear with me)

their sekai is the mall sekai. its relatively small with some stores boarded up and graffitied. other than that, its clean and cozy. the main vocaloids are miku rin and len.

I have been listening to "Servant of evil" a bit lately and I've thought about a little base for a velvet and vox twins/siblings AU. I still need to work on it but it might be my most thought out AU do far (that I've actually openly shared).

Vox canonically died in like the 1950's and we don't really know velvets death date, but I've seen someone say that she probably died around the 2000's or 2010's ish. In this AU they were born in the 1940's and died around the late 2000's early 2010's.

They were born in London to an almost-famous couple, a fashion model mother who later also started blogging her modeling journey on the internet and a tv host and sometimes-part-time-actor father.

Sometime in the later 1980's their father wanted them all to move to America, but the mother was strongly against it, since she had build her entire career in London and wasn't about to give it up at it's peak. They had a big argument that ended in a divorce and split custody over vox and vel. Vel stayed with their mother and vox went with their father to America. Vox and Vel still kept In contact and send each other messages and kept each other updated on what their parents were doing. Both of them later got into their respective parents' jobs, velvet becoming a fashion model and designer and vox a known tv host. Though their ways kinda parted when they became adults, they still texted from Time to time and vox followed velvets blog about her life as a model and designer, and velvet watched vox's shows whenever she could.

(I don't have much of an idea as to how they both would die in this AU, but i think it would be funny to make them die in a similar way. Like, a light on set falling on vox and a light on stage falling on velvet, both during a show. I think I wanna make vox die a few years before velvet, maybe 5 or so years before her. )

After they both die and find each other again, not recognizing each other at first but then quickly connecting the dots of their behavior and appearance, they both start to climb up the ranks to become overlords, later together with val which vel only tolerates because he makes vox happy after the old ass radio fucker went and broke his heart and because she's a good twin sister, but they never reveal their relationship as siblings to anyone, not even val. They know that hell is cruel and any kind of affection will be used against you in some way, so they keep it a secret. Not really hard considering their bickering and insulting each other which, from afar, makes it seem like they barely tolerate each other. That couldn't be farther from the truth though, they'd both happily risk their life to protect the other from harm.

The AU itself doesn't have much to do with the song but I imagine Vox's love for vel in this to be just as strong as lens love for Rin is in this song. And the song makes me wish for so much more vox and vel content in s2, i need to see their relationship up close. They have such power duo potential and I hope it won't be wasted.

The person who designed her personality, appearance voice actually tried to make her identical to a dear person to him whom he lost. That's why he also made her able to sing because that's what he always admired on that person.

Now, despite trying to be a "substitute" for said person, Mikus personality is vastly different from hers, miku is very cold and distant to her creator. This is actually because he believes he is fault for his friends death and so, he basically gave the voices in his head a physical form. That being miku.

Yeah, basically, the entire thing is just the creator being self-destructive and miku slowly learning more about how humans work because she wants to sing and realises that it's something emotional because she is a sentient robot and so, defies her own code of enabling her creator's downward spiral

There are also rin and len who are two different AI's in one body with len actually being supposed to be deleted from the body but he somehow managed to survive on an unchecked back up hardware and rin, the new AI whom the body was meant to be used for thought it's fun to have len around and didn't report about him still existing

I’m finally reading Blacklight Lens Flare 😁 spoilers ofc

Live thoughts (and childhood experiences yaay) :3 I’m writing as I go !!! This is very long btw

I’m so happy they get to explore a movie setting, I love movie settings I’m giggling and kicking my feet over here (I used to be interested in becoming a movie director when I was younger :,D it makes me happy to see my fav unit so passionate abt smth like this too)

Having to retake a whole scene bcz of a bug is so funny, I think I would lose my mind if an extra did that but I’ve never worked with extras so I wouldn’t know :p (but I can assume that it’d be a bit of a pain)

Also my experiences in directing movies was all done as a child, I would get my friends and cousins excited to act in a movie and we’d film every scene right after the other with a script we make up as we go. So them talking about doing scenes out of order makes me rly wish I got to partake in a scripted film. Ofc I am eternally grateful for all the people who actually went along with what I was envisioning. Even if it was rly frustrating at times, we were all children and I knew this.

Hajime leaving the way a cat does so it doesn’t leave you with grief of its death wow wow. I haven’t talked abt the movie being filmed itself coz there wasn’t much to say, but this seems like a nice movie.

Woah the voice acting in this alone is so raw and quiet, I’m having trouble figuring out the potential framing of a scene like this esp in a loud environment like an airport. I feel like there would be a lot of distractions they can add to enhance a scene like this but that’s just my thoughts on an x + y = 7 equation if that makes sense. This was so random if I were to actually direct a scene like this I wouldn’t be surprised if everything I said was irrelevant to a final product. Still tho I can’t rly imagine what they’re going for off of only the voice acting and explanation.

Omg being able to portray something wrong on purpose is so difficult, even thru voice acting I legit said “WOAAHHH” out loud n 3 seconds later it’s mentioned everyone felt smth was off LMAO so I’m glad to see I wasn’t just being super nitpicky and it was intentional. This happens to me A LOTT any movie or story that has a plot twist character always has that character so oddly played and it makes me feel like the writers, actors or directors don’t care abt those characters. Then a reveal happens and I realize it’s on purpose. The only problem I have with noticing that is the fact that it unimmerses me from the universe they try to build and it makes me criticize these people in my head throughout the duration of the medium. I think that’s not smth they should be striving for, this is a very difficult thing to pull off n I’m just a freak for directing so I notice it a lot more. Maybe a casual viewer wouldn’t lose immersion for smth like that. Idk u guys tell me if u experience anything like this as well.

If they’re able to still have adequate foreshadowing that doesn’t make me question the director’s intentions over a character’s, I think they did a good job. Otherwise I’m just sat there flaming a director I don’t know for an hour+ lmao. It makes me feel a little better for the character but again it’s just smth was still wrong, whether it was me or them idk..

AHEM anyways back to the story, this director makes everyone so nervous I think he needs to relax a little for everyone’s sake. Ya he produces good results but u can get the same answer with multiple equations.

Before I read the rest of this, I wanna see if I can figure out what the problem will be. The part where he mentions “I bet that’s not even your real name” was said with too much disbelief rather than with the anger it deserves. It still feels like a string of lines that can and should be said quietly, but they should also be said quietly with the right emotions. He ramped it up right before they cut but I feel like the part he ramped up to should have been the energy he used to ramp up to something more. That’s my prediction, I’ll tell u how close I am when I get there :3

Inchresting, changing a scene to suit an actor more, now that’s something I’m used to, I didn’t think it’d be the answer tho. Since we were all children and we had no script, I had adapt and compromise EVERY SINGLE SCENE to make sure it was still fun for everyone in the end. Except for my first attempt with my youngest cousin, I think her siblings got rly mad at her when she was messing things up. It was literally the final stretch of the movie tho so I think we were just desperate to get it done. WAIT NO I REMEMBER WHY SHE GOT MAD. It was the first part of a “horror” movie coz they eventually had to leave, and she got mad that she was killed off 😭😭. Wow the memories of that movie, I actually learned so much from it and still hold onto principles that made themselves known to me when I first filmed that. It was utter garbage looking back at it now but it’s still near and dear to my heart. After that I forced more of my cousins and friends to film “movies” with me, I didn’t act in most of them but I hope I made it as fun for them as they did for me. I remember also editing one of them.

Hello Tumblr, I have an idea of a game heavily inspired by Wonderful☆Opportunity's "Death should not have taken thee!" !!

So the idea is: A seemingly average "Defeat the Demon Lord" JRPG where you (Moka) play as the king(queen, Atria)'s personal castle guard (and childhood best friend) turned hero, but the game is engineered for you to not be able to defeat the Demon Lord as Hero Moka. Even if you clear averything and max out all your stats. Whenever you die during the demon lord part of the game, it resets back to the starting point at the castle. The king(She's a girl, but she's the main "governor" so she's called a king) has a time loop established with her magic scepter where only she and Moka (because they're the only two with the knowledge it resets time prior to the actual reset) remember what happens after she resets the timeline back to its set starting point.

But, whenever you reset, you have a dialogue option saying "This is literally impossible." to Atria. She flips out a bit if you choose it, saying "Come on, you've only resetted X times! There's this guy who reset like, 1863 times!! Maybe you haven't leveled up enough!" "If that is so, go try it yourself, my lord." "Hmph, fine!" and you now play as Atria. It's a one-time only immediate battle against the Demon Lord. And yes, it's still impossible. She summons the entire army to fight, but she ends up getting killed.

Moka is like: "Sigh... this idiot." And revives her with the spell and scepter. They decide to just wait till the hero appears. The Hero, a magic prodigy from the Magic Tower called Athan, appears after a few resets (ones you don't play through), and a demon attack happens at the castle when she was still talking to Atria. She's like: "Your Majesty, give your magic scepter to Moka!" Atria's like: "Wtf. Fine. If we reset we're blaming this on you!!" and a combat starts where Moka is revealed to be batshit crazy good at magic. He just has a small mana reserve and subconciously consumes his health to solve that, which is why he was considered bad at it.

And also, Atria has a magic allergy of sorts to the palace scepter. Nothing lethal, but it suppresses her powers. It turns out a different magic type (that lets her self-heal and make shields basically) suits her best, and she's a really good tank with said magic type and is better with meelee weapons her aim is horrible, even with magic. Athan, a prodigy of the magic tower with absurdly high mana reserves but lower output, decides to aid the two's journey this time around, and she's basically a mana battery for Moka. They also meet Hastion, another noble magic prodigy (who will act as a second magic support), and the four befriend each other and go out to defeat the demon lord.

It's pretty similar to the first timeline with Hero Moka, but much easier. In the end, they achieve the goal pretty quickly, and Moka is like: "To think we could've solved this much earlier if we had just switched weapons!!" and there's a final cutscene of Moka (unseriously) raging at Atria while she's like: "I'm sorry!! How was I supposed to know?!?! ㅠㅠ" while Athan and Hastion smile while snacking in the background.

The End.

(Smaller details, you revive at the nearest inn during any non-demon battle defeat. You only reset if you die to demons in the Demon King's lair.)

Also Atria, Moka, Athan, and Hastion are my OCs. They have their own world setting and backstory but I tweaked with it to adjust them in this world. They (Atria and Moka) were a surprisingly good fit for Rin and Len tho. Ofc this is all still tweaked in bits but hey. Atleast I have introduced a fraction of the amount of OCs I have. I can't draw well so I probably won't draw them, but I do have ideas on how they look like.

Utau × Demon Slayer au notes

main characters are teto and tei, it's a teito fic and takes place before the main line of demon slayer with little to no interactions of the kny cast and more allusions and references

-Kasane Teto- protag of the story. She did not have a voice until she turned 13 and came from "a foreign country" to japan and lived as a cleaner in a bakery. She heard a strange noise one night and was partially turned into a chimera demon*, but gained her voice. Her appearance scared the shop owners and townsfolk though, so she fled. Teto became a slayer and found that she aged half as fast as regular humans, and worked alone taking odd jobs.

-Sukone Tei- Tei was a maiko and kunoichi with a vengeance. While she was still human, she fell in love with a boy named Len, who was already betrothed to the Hatsune clan. After she became a demon, it was rumored that she killed his family and the girl he was married to. Unsatisfied, she continued to train as a maiko and contract kunoichi by night (yes its extra. That's why it's her backstory.) She was well over her long-dead of old age crush hanging when she met teto, who had been hired by a singer of the hatsune clan to protect her as she felt she was being watched. Tei was very unpredictable and still killed humans to live, but teto bound some of her powers and invited her as a companion.

-Hatsune Miku- The hatsune clan was known for its craftsmanship in musical instruments and talented singers, but had a grudge against a demon. Miku was sent to apprentice playing the shamisen and singing away from her town for her safety, into Tei's old apprenticeship. She has pale green hair from her affinity for leeks. It was said that her voice could even stop demons**, but she felt unsafe and hired a wandering Teto to take out the suspected demons.

-Kagamine Rin and Len- Len was said to be the spitting image of his several great grandfathers, lone survivor of a demon attack. Rin was his cousin, and their antics involved often switching places with each other due to their almost identical faces. Since Tei really cant tell them apart, she protects them both. Theyre mostly side characters lol

Momo and Uta are children from workers of the same farm and have automaton legs, as a disease outbreak at the farm ruined their muscles when they were young and left Uta's voice weak, though they both love singing. However, their impoverished families sent them to work as maids at the mysterious butterfly estate for a better life. Uta received training as a sniper while Momo learned to sing in demon-halting breath.

-Rook and Yokune Ruko- A demon-slaying duo. Ruko was rumored to be a demon, as not only were their eyes were different colors, but they had "two voices" and study demon-halting under the sound hashira. Rook is an apprentice of the slayers "guard dogs" and has a fighting style similar to that of a wild dog, but is very loyal to ruko. He has an adopted little sister named Miko who was raised by wolves until she was 2.

-Sekka Yufu and Namine Ritsu- referred to as the mountain demons. Ritsu is a largely harmless demon who lives at the foot of the mountain and goes to drink with humans every now and then. He was turned when he was 6, but likes to shapeshift to be a young woman. He only kills people who dont like him or point out that his fake double d cups are actually bombs. Yufu is rumored to lure travelers into the snow-capped mountains with her voice into storms and avalanches, but most of the deaths aren't intentional. The two are loosely friends.

*(Yushiro accidentally turned her, but as he was almost completely free from muzans control, she was largely unaffected.)

**In this AU, demon-halting breath exists as a form of singing. It can be naturally inherited or taught.

In a way, the story of JSHK reminds me a lot of the Story of Evil, for those who remember these Vocaloid songs with Rin, Len and others characters (Riliane and Allen tho I remember their actual names even if I’ve never read the light novels). I never really understood all of the Evilious Chronicles but this part of Allen looks quite similar, with the representation of love.

Think about it. Allen did everything he could just to make Riliane happy, he killed his adoptive father just to "protect" her, he granted her wishes (yeah he did not with Michaela but still) and gave up on everything so she could live her life without him.

I feel like he looks like Hanako trying to make Nene happy with him, ready to kill her best friend, to be her savior. What if Allen did feel the same about Riliane? He was a servant destined to stay by her side to serve her until his death, maybe even jealous of it because he could have been the prince, but he never failed, he endured all of her whims to make her happy.

Maybe he didn’t value his own life, or how precious he was for Riliane (just like Hanako didn’t realize how deeply Nene loves him, and same for Tsukasa). Their communication was terrible just like Yugi twins but he always chose her over his own happiness and life, without any recognition from his sister (like Akane did for Aoi), and Riliane failed to realize earlier that she cared so much for Allen.

Maybe this isn’t 100% accurate since I don’t remember everything, but to me these two stories show similarities in portraying unconditional love, and they are my favorite stories of all times 🥰🥰

At least, publicly revealed to us, because I don’t believe they of all people would leave a room with several brains and two persons of interest unmonitored.”

He turns to END next. “You’re not wrong that they could’ve spread things over the other floors, but I don’t think they had planned on opening up the fourth floor to us all before today. After all, why not simply decommission us and send most of us on our merry memory-loss way, while retaining a few for uploading? Whatever the interruption was this morning, I think it spooked our hosts into a change of plans that necessitated making this false-flag operation.” Akito gestures across the room. “Also, while you’re right that I’m close in proximity to them and she’s not, Erisu is directly opposite where all three of us are situated, and thus the least likely to be suspected of working with the sisters. That also means that they still have a direct line of sight to her if anyone else tried any funny business, and can then keep a close eye on me in the interim. Some of you were wondering why I haven’t bought a favour to move away from this spot despite the fact that I despise where I am, weren’t you? That’s because I can’t, and no points for guessing who’s enforced that rule.”

Taking a quick breath, Akito continues. “I did solve the Vocaloid module assignment puzzle, and I’m fairly open about knowing my fair share of songs and costumes, but then why would I make myself more suspicious by leaving the completed puzzle out? You’ve also heard me be very open about my interests and hobbies - and this is a personal one, but I would’ve used Rin and Len modules, even if Undead Enemy doesn’t have an official released one yet. Cowards. Anyways, I’m not a veteran private detective, especially when I knew just as little about this experiment as you did. I was brought into the fold because I have a very personal reason to look into things.” Of course, referring to Kristina. “Finally, I’m not even an Ultimate or was ever in consideration for it like Ae-ra, Eureka, and Miss Chen, though I concede that could be faked by executive meddling just as many other things have been here.”

“Speaking of Kristi, you.” His gaze turns to Jae-min. “Insult her one more time, and I will shove your ego so far up your ass that you’ll choke to death on it. This is the also first time I’ve heard of a letter in the VR being ascribed to me, so unless you can explain that, I genuinely have no idea what you’re talking about. The best I can offer is that I did write a letter out, three weeks ago. Very publicly, in fact, as I put out a notice in the chat that Byrne, Kenshin, and Adrik all responded to. He’s not sure how to continue that train of thought, so he shakes his head. “Anyways! Back to the murder weapon, and honestly that’s easy to address. I’m associated with the stage, and a curtain is flexible enough that someone like me who has been previously injured and is physically on the weaker side, could have the strength to strangle someone like Erisu. It’s convenient. It’s also very convenient that, with at least ten minutes between when she died and was found, three hosts in charge of the whole facility couldn’t lock down two floors or shut the elevator system down entirely. Almost like, once again, they wanted the rest of the red floor to be found.” Akito holds up his phone. “And I do have two pictures here that were taken at the study area in the Library, at twelve o'clock and half-past twelve. It would have been extremely difficult for me to leave for the fourth floor, spot An having an altercation with Erisu in the room, grab a curtain from the other side of the floor, head down, strangle Erisu by holding her down, then rush back to the library in the span of barely half an hour." 

He sighs. "Adrik has seen these, and I will offer anyone else to check them for veracity. I will also submit myself to body checks if needed, and suggest the same for a certain someone else, as we now know per Erik A’s testimony that the taser could only have one charge.”

A man was speaking to a woman, trembling slightly. “It seems that Françoise wasn’t able to withstand the burden of giving birth…”

Yes, I had understood the things he was saying.

Though I was a horse, I could comprehend human words.

The woman looked down on me.

Dwelling in her eyes there seemed to me to be a deep hatred, and just a little bit of fear.

She opened her mouth without moving her gaze from me. “…Françoise—Our most favored horse, was a sublime and strong horse. That she would die in childbirth would ordinarily be unthinkable.”

“But—”

“So in other words, that means this is not ordinary. Look at this foal. It bears a grey coat quite unlike the mother, and…there are abnormalities in its genitals.”

“That’s true…the foal does appear to have both male and female characteristics…”

The woman’s brow furrowed, and then she declared, “Execute it.”

This woman was trying to kill me—Yet even knowing that, there was nothing I could do.

I could understand human words. But that was all. No matter how I might try to voice refutations, or plea for my life, it came out as nothing more than a horse’s whinnying.

A newborn as I was, my body couldn’t so much as stand to flee.

I could only lie there in utter stillness, terrified.

That was when it happened.

“Mother, please stop!”

--A human girl entered the stables as she shouted those words, and before I knew it she was tightly holding me.

“What are you doing, Riliane!?” the woman who had glared at me cried out in surprise.

“I saw Jaime carrying out a blade from the cellar…You intend to have this foal killed, right? You mustn’t!”

Then the man from before raced into the stables after her, looking flustered. “Ah, princess. You should not be…Please, return to your room.”

The girl wildly shook her head, still clinging to me.

The woman that the girl had called mother approached us with a dignified bearing.

“Riliane, you must behave. It isn’t becoming of one who will be in a position to rule this country someday to be so moved by her emotions.”

“Mother…I don’t understand. I don’t get it! Why are you going to kill this foal!? Isn’t this the only child of Françoise…Your most beloved horse?”

“That’s…”

“I know you must have some reason…But even so, you mustn’t kill it!”

“…”

The man timidly drew up to the woman as she stood there in silence, a troubled expression on her face.

“Queen Anne. Forgive my impertinence, but I too have something to say.”

“…Say it.”

“This is the first time I have seen Princess Riliane advocate for something so strongly.”

“Hmph…Yes, you’re right. I did used to worry that she was too obedient, rather.” For a moment Anne appeared to be thinking about something, and then said to Jaime, “Summon Elluka.”

“The Lady Sorceress?”

“Have her see if there is a curse on this foal or not. If she finds there to be nothing, then—”

“Then we shall not take any action to kill it, I see. I think that is a fine suggestion. I am positive that Lady Elluka will not be wrong.”

“It seems that We lost our composure too, for a moment. To forget that she was an option.”

“It’s quite understandable. Your beloved horse did just pass away, after all.”

--As a result of that sorceress’ examination, I was cleared of any suspicions of being a cursed horse.

I have no way of verifying exactly what Elluka reported to Anne specifically, but whatever it was that she said, I came to be raised as a horse for Riliane to ride.

Riliane gave me the name of “Josephine”.

#10: I never did underwater before this and the pose/lightning was really fun here. The expression came thru perfectly as well, the somber somewhat sad tone of this is something I'd like to do more of in '22

#9: The most recent one on this list? I feel like these are some of the best hands I've done and the semi-smug expression came out perfect. Also any excuse to write an osrs related tangent is a good one

#7: the other really recent one, I never did this kind of monotone palette for both meek and the bg. I feel like the mood of the graverobbing is set just right with these colors and it contrasts the humor really well.

#6: Probably my least popular (note-wise) miku on this list, it was pretty experimental with lineless techniques and maybe I'll take another stab at this exact screen redraw in the future. Regardless I still rather like the dream-like quality to this and im always weak to ccs, this scene in particular.

#5: I wanted to make a gunslinger meek based off Clint Eastwood's Man With No Name (I am something of a fan of those old westerns) and I feel like I fucking nailed it on the design. The sunset colors and expression here are choice too~

#4: I did this largely cuz I was like on the verge of death that week so I wanted to just like. focus on making a meek with some expressive eyes and it ended up being super super cute

#3: Fuck yeah, Radical Miku. I Consider this be one of my overall best Mikus just in like terms of lines, coloring and shading. The Pose is really great too and you can expect more Radical Miku in 2022. Also this one is like #2 all time notes wise, only edged out by trans jenner meek from 2020.

#2: This is actually still my desktop wallpaper. Its rather simple for being so high on this list, but besides the praying hands (Which im still fairly proud of) I shoved a buncha symbolism into this which I dig.

#1: god where do I even start here? Its Fucking Goya Miku. I think this might be my favorite of all the Mikus simply cause its always makes me lose my shit. not sure WHY I wanted to draw this other than I thought it might be funny and by god was i right. Miku eating rin/len here as a parallel to Saturn eating his progeny is just... 😘👌
