I often see people asking "is the idea I have unique and interesting?" and I think the most important thing is — is it unique to you, is it interesting to you? does it make you happy? does it bring you comfort? is it inspired by things you love and cherish? if so, that's the only thing that really matters because it doesn’t have to be good for the whole world, it has to be good for you. so create, tell stories, inspire, be grateful for other creators and respect their work and if what you do has a part of who you are in it then it will always be unique.

and just look at you! you created something with your own mind, the ideas came out of you and you put it on paper with whatever skill and experience you have at the moment and it will only become better with time and practice! you made it! cherish it!

I write. Poems and short stories and everything. I paint and play instruments, I do theatre.

Everytime someone comes to me like: "You could write this! Write a poem about it! Paint this picture!" All they get is: "No."

Go and make it yourself! You wanna see this thing in the world? Go and create! I'm not a machine to produce someone's ideas! It's your idea! Go and make it effing real! You wanna see it? Then f*cking go and do it! I will not do it for you! Why? Cause it's your idea. It's you. I'm not you! The only right person to do it, it's you!

i think theres this idea in the general public that the "best" fanfic gets turned into real books like 50 shades of grey. but the truth is that the best fanfic can never be published as an actual book because its intricately woven into the canon material so its inseparable even if you change the names

it is legit bizarre to me how hard video game creators and film directors and showrunners try to pretend that fat people don't exist. can you think of the last time you saw a fat person in a lead role? god forbid a fat woman? i can walk down the street or go into a shop or restaurant and see fat people everywhere but then i switch on the tv and suddenly it's like a glimpse into an alternate universe where no one has a bmi over 24. insidious and weird
