#dungeon meshi#aj art#kabru of utaya#Thinking about the way Kabru is regarded by the elf community he was raised in#Even when he’s pretty clearly an adult#As a spoiled child who needs protecting#Bc they don’t view the short lived races as serious humans who deserve respect#And Kabru recognizes this because he grew up with elves#Adding art detail tags bc I put an embarrassing amount of thought into this#I tried to give him duller and rougher colorjng nd shading#And gave all the plushies soft cartoonish shading and bright colors#To illustrate how he actually is vs how he’s being categorized by the elves#I also tried to give him more specifically adult features like arm and leg hair#Eye bags shaven facial hair and scars#To make his body look lived in#Again illustrating that he’s an adult who has lived a life#Which makes him contrast to the cutesy childlike stuffed animals he’s surrounded by#Bc to us and to him the way he’s treated by the elves is really weird#He shouldn’t be lumped in with childlike things when he’s a grown adult#Also I made it so that all the stuffed animals eyes are closed#And his are open#Bc 1. the elves don’t really see him as a person and 2. They don’t really recognize how they’re treating him or why it’s wrong#But he does#He sees it clearly and knows why they’re acting like that

#oeyä ayskxawngtsyìp#some small details may be subject to change#others might also be added to the “story” later#for example a while ago I was thinking maybe Rolukx and Se'txelu also have a sister because why not#tentatively named her Mingal and she'd be a teenager in the default timeline#(for reference at that time Se'txelu and Neynari are in their early 20s and Rolukx in his late 20s)#but she doesn't have a particular design yet and I haven't decided on many details#me being me i will also prooooobably give Neynari and Se'txelu some kids of their own at some point but again so specific ideas just yet#maybe even give rolukx a love interest#for personal reasons i can't decide whether it would be more cathartic to give him one or to not give him one#idk we'll see#also btw since this is chibi style don't take it as a 100% accurate height comparison lol#fwiw on that front I think Seylana and Neynari are a bit shorter than average#Rolukx is slightly taller than average#and everyone else is pretty solidly Average™ ¯\_(ツ)_/¯#also for those who didn't catch it in my previous post about these guys: Awlun is Lunaya's aunt (Awlun's brother is Lunaya's father)#hence the shared surname#also Seylana is not naturally blond; she started coloring her hair after Neynari was born to match her daughter#(there are canon Aranahe characters with hair like this such as Sa'nop and Nilngan)#(and yes I suspect it's artifical color because the tail tufts are still black. hence Seylana's tail tuft still being her natural color too#ANYWAYS#yeah#my art#neynari#se'txelu#rolukx#seylana#vontxu#awlun#lunaya

#I added that detail last minute and my poor government laptop was about to explode from the amount of layers that I was using–#it wasn't even that much! just uhh 95 I think?? I normally use like. 150+. But this poor laptop is not built for that#The tools were starting to lag and the program froze for a couple of seconds before starting to work again and it was a whole mess so#I couldn't put a lot of detail into it#but I'm still pretty happy with the result!!#I love Lisey's design so much specially Narinder's#I really wanted to make fanart for them and I finally got to finish it!! there was a lot of trusting the process in this fjhsd but it was#definitely worth it. Watched this a while ago with a friend and it was a lot of fun!!!#If you're reading this: thank you so much for hanging out with me I had such a good time (ㅅ´ ˘ )♡#Next to general considerations: wow they were right that Bungou Stray Dogs movie sure can Bungou Stray Dogs#It's always nice to see the detailed animation and elaborate backgrounds of movies. The animation quality compared to the manga is–#definitely noticeable and it's nice to see. That said... I still like the season 2 art style more? And I'm speaking strictly of art style.#The s2 one looks more soft and smooth while the da one is so much more rough.#The plot is... Very bsd-esque I don't think there's anything to add.#In my opinion Kyouka's arc is the one that turned out best tbh. I really like her narrative development and personal growth in this movie.#I like the complexity of her state of mind. how full of contradiction she is. I especially appreciate the recurring small changes of–#expression that indicate how she thinks differently from Atsushi even if she doesn't voice them. The fight between her cynicism and her–#kind nature. It's all very interesting.#Atsushi's development is interesting too. Although all the open questions about his ability we still have kind of leave me frustrated#I don't feel very strongly about Akutagawa in this movie? I mean‚ he's there. The ss/kk scenes are always great and in character and a joy–#to witness no matter what they do. He just doesn't shine particularly? Or at least personally I dont find the “proving my strength against–#myself” narrative arc to be particularly interesting. Imo it was a lot better flashed out in the da stage play! With the complexity that–#the dialogues with Chuuya added to the character. Dazai attacking him. And especially Aktgw understanding that Rashomon wasn't testing Aktg#but rather only expressing that unstoppable rage that is also Aktgw's own. About that I checked out the play and I really liked it!!#I only watched highlights (aka: ss/kk and chuu/aku scenes) but there's some stuff I really like. I like the conflict between Aktgw and–#Chuuya and how Chuuya messes up with Aktgw at first maliciously and then amiably. It's interesting how Atsushi himself observes that Kyouka#and Akutagawa get along. And especially the sskk almost-handholding and Atsushi saying Akutagawa has a nice profile were cute akjdhbsawhjb#Next. Da really is shipping paradise (╥﹏╥) Sorry but... It is. oda/zai. daz/atsu. ss/kk. s/kk. fuku/mori. chuu/aku. It really has everythin#and the moments are so good!!!! What else. Wish we'd see more of Tsujimura. And Christie. And women in general tbh.#Also‚‚‚‚‚ Atsushi's tiger form in this movie is ATROCIOUS. I've said it before but it's crazy how a franchises that relies so heavily on–#fanservice came up with something this hideous. Man the movie overall was pretty but Atsushi sure wasn't. Firmly stand by the belief–#that only Akutagawa would find that form attractive.#Oh last note. honestly if we're ready to accept a movie where an antidote has effect AFTER the person has effectively died then we really–#can't complain about any kind of insanity the manga brings up#random rambles

Did I hear right? They animated my favorite manga panel?! ( ･`ω･´)✨
This is great! This is amazing! I'm so happy right now!
#I've been looking at it for very long#I've noticed all the details#1) They cleaned up Shirakumo's awkward smile (╥﹏╥) It's too pretty#2) They added more length to the back of Hizashi's hair (maybe trying to make it more of a mullet??)#3) Hizashi's eyes in the anime are a little scary - I think he was passionate in the manga but in the anime they look bulging (･ัω･ั)#4) They shortened Shirakumo?? He's a tall guy! Standing at 6ft he's the same height as present day Hizashi and Aizawa#(and they had an extra 15 years to grow while Shirakumo was just... like that in highschool)#5) They entirely changed the statue in the background lol#6) Shirakumo and Hizashi are now looking at each other (I liked the manga where they were looking off because it showed just 2 boys talking)#7) Hizashi's bag is much more lumpy (what does he have in there?)#8) Added a little bend to Shota's straw ʕ·ᴥ·ʔ#9) Shota's face looks longer...
