Ayuna woke up and the first thing she did was sigh and roll onto her side.

Just another normal day…

Nothing special about today…

At all…

“Happy Birthday Miss Katsuki-sama!” Her 3 kakushis say at the same time.

Ayuna just stared at them with her usual blank gaze then walked off to go train with a small hum of acknowledgement.

“I appreciate it, but I don’t celebrate my birthday.” She says as she walks out of the Wolf Eatate.

Milo looks sad, she had finally gotten to celebrate her own birthday recently so she thinks Ayuna should too.

Yuto looks down at Milo and frowns when he sees her sad expression.

He pulls her in for a hug. “It’s okay angel.. All that matters is that we tried..”

Amika pats Milo’s shoulder. “Yeah, we tried our best and that’s all we can do..”

Yuto and Amika are aware of the importance that helping others celebrate their birthday holds for Milo.

Milo has an idea. “Wh-what if we get Iguro-sama to help us..?”

“Ooo yeah! That could work! Good idea, angel!” Yuto says happily and gently ruffles Milo’s hair, eliciting a giggle from the yokai.

The 3 kakushis make their way over to the Serpent estate after writing a letter so Ayuna will know that they went out.

They go to talk to Obanai about the situation with Ayuna and he agrees to help them.

The serpent hashira goes with them to the Wolf Estate.

“Ayuna?” Obanai calls out after going to the training grounds of her mansion.

Ayuna looks up and her gaze softens. “Hello Obanai.”

“Why don’t you take a break? It is your birthday after all.” He asks calmly.

Ayuna’s wolf ears flop down and she sighs. “…Fine.” She says hesitantly and her ears come back up as she goes with him.

When they get inside Amika, Yuto, and Milo all bring her a birthday cake with bright smiles plastered on their faces.

They start singing happy birthday for Ayuna and once they’re done they notice Ayuna’s softer expression.

“Thank you, everyone. This birthday has actually been tolerable.”

This makes the 3 kakushis smile brightly and cheer a bit since they succeeded.

I have a few; Daine & Numair from Tamora Pierce's 'The Immortals' series, Crow from Destiny 2, Julian from The Arcana, Lara Croft (just like, in general). The list goes on 😅 These days, I've been hyperfixated on Nanami Kento from Jujutsu Kaisen 🥴❤️‍🔥

Lighter, but matches will do.

I don't think that's wise, no. If I could trust that some crazy person wouldn't take advantage, I probably would, though - I love the air flow.

Would you count the fae? If not that, definitely skinwalkers.

5. What colour are your eyes?

Green-ish, with kind of a hint of hazel sometimes.

6. Why did you do that?

I was in a very dark place in my life - I'm just glad I got out of things before I did something stupid.

Back when I had hair long enough, I loved my scrunchies. I had a lil' collection going. Nowadays I rock a short style - more comfy.

None, actually. Usually I have one or two in there, though.

Iced and packed full of sugar.

Making/listening to music for sure.

Gloomy, actually. Something in the air has myself and everyone I know feeling 'off.' Ah well. Another day tomorrow - sun'll come out eventually.

It's one of my favourite smells, actually.

Yep. I only started driving a few years ago, but I finally got a move on anyways.

I'm more near-sighted than far-sighted, but not at a point to need glasses or contacts (yet).

I love the Amika brand shampoo, conditioner and dry shampoo. Aside from that, the only other hair product I use is Evo's 'Salty Dog' salt spray.

I mean hey, sure - I just can't guarantee I'll paint them well 😅💅

20. Do you say soda or pop?

I say both, actually - no rhyme or reason, I just kinda blurt our whichever comes out in the moment 😅🥤

A mix CD from my late first boyfriend - I've had it since 10th grade.

I'd say 'sentimental.' Sometimes delusional with my tendency to lean into escapism - it leads me to be a bit of an idealist, and I can have unrealistic expectations sometimes.

23. How do you feel about chilly weather?

I don't mind it, really - it's when the air is so cold it hurts my face that it starts to get old.

24. If we were together on a rooftop, what would we be doing?

Stargazing and listening to some tunes for sure - with any luck, we'll catch some northern lights. Also snacks. We always need snacks.

25. Perfume/body spray or lotion?

I don't really use perfume - maybe on occasion I'll use a body spray from Bath & Body Works or something, but lotion I use every day.

26. A scenario that you've replayed multiple times?

The last hour I spent with my grandfather. I feel like if I had really known that was going to be the last hour, I would have had so much more to say.

27. About how many hours of sleep did you get?

Six, give or take? Which is a lot for me.

I do, but I'm a dental assistant, so that just kind of comes with the gig. Other than that, I wear masks when I am feeling under the weather, but need to be out in public for whatever reason, or if I'm in a place where masks are required by the business/health code standards.

29. How do you like your shower water?

Wet? (Ha) Nah, I usually like it at some semi-extreme temperature; either hotter than hellfire, or glacier cold.

Nope.

Some nice acoustic indie tunes; maybe some lo-fi tunes.

Yep! Doritos and a Pepsi slurpee this afternoon. Aside from that, it's been all celery, carrots, cucumbers and oranges.

Iced and sickeningly sweet; like, more sugar than coffee, probably.

Well, Instagram and TikTok (like most of the world). Aside from that, I use my Artful Agenda religiously. I used to be a big fan of paper agendas, but I needed to switch to electronic for convenience, but I liked that I could still get the same customization and fun options of a paper agenda with it. So now, it's my only real 'every day' app.

I wish my tongue wasn't so weak so I could enjoy them more, but alas 🥵

Honestly? No one.

She feels herself growing weary from the cold and she goes to sit down under a tree, to rest for a moment then she goes unconscious. Yuto and Amika were coming outside to do something when they see Miki unconscious underneath the nearby tree*

*Amika and Yuto look up and their eyes widen in shock and worry. Amika races inside to get Ayuna while Yuto drops the water can he’s holding and runs over to Mikitama*

I drew my kakushi oc’s, Yuto and Amika!

Some fun facts about them, Yuto’s hair is kind of poofy so when he takes his hat thing off, his hair just springs up. Amika has extremely poofy hair so she wears it in a bun to make her uniform easier to put on and wear.

Yuto has a cheerful and friendly personality but he can get scared easily so he’s jumpy. Amika has a motherly like personality, she’s friendly, caring and kind but also can be a little snappy sometimes.

Ayuna’s wolf ears twitch to the sound of knocking at the door. She gets up and goes to open it, feeling anxious when she sees two kakushi that she doesn’t really know standing with Mikitama.

Ayuna lets the group come inside and Yuto’s eyes widen in excitement when he sees who it and he rushes to hug…

As Mikitama opens her arms to hug Yuto with a smile, she’s met with a harsh reality that he wasn’t coming to hug her…

“Hi Nayuri! It’s been so long! How have you been?” He asks his fellow kakushi excitedly, unaware of the jealousy that panged in Mikitama’s heart.

Her jealousy only increased the longer Yuto payed attention to Nayuri and not herself…

“Yuyu! Look what I got for you!”

She could see the looks in their eyes as Nayuri hands a small gift to Yuto.

‘Did Yuyu ever really love me..? Why am I not surprised I’ve driven away yet another loved one…?’ She wonders to herself.

Yuto, after a while, noticed how distant Mikitama was being towards him, especially when he heard the way Amika was talking towards Nayuri.

He wanted to ask her about it, but by then, it was too late, Mikitama, Yuri, and Nayuri were already leaving.

Before she can get too far away, Yuto gently grabs her wrist. “Angel, c-can we talk..? Please..?” He asks worriedly, his worry increasing when he notices the light in Mikitama’s eyes had faded a bit.

She reaponds with a sad little nod and Yuto brings her to his room so they could talk in private.

They sit next to each other on the mattress and Yuto holds her hands in his own.

“Angel, what’s wro-?” Mikitama cuts him off before he can finish.

“Y-you still love me right…?” She asks in a soft and shaky voice, her heterochromatic eyes shone with insecurity and sadness as Yuto’s eyes widen in shock and he pulls her in for a hug.

“What do you mean, Miki? Of course I still l-love you… How could I not love you?” He holds her closer and takes one of her hands in his, holding her close with his other arm.

“W-well- Y-you were just s-spending so much t-time with Nayuri a-and… A-and it felt like you d-didn’t love me anymore…” Miki explains as tears fill her eyes and Yuto gently wipes them as they roll down her cheeks with a guilty expression.

“D-darling, I love you so so much… Nothing will ever change that…” Yuto kisses her forehead. “I’m so sorry for making you feel that way…” He holds her closer and tighter as he rests his chin on top of her head.

“Y-you didn’t even hug me when we all came… I-I didn’t do something wrong, did I…?” Guilty tears fill Yuto’s eyes.

“N-no, of course not! I-I’m so sorry, Miki….” He whispers shakily, holding her for dear life.

He sniffles as he looks down at the tiny hashira in his arms. “P-please believe me, Miki… I-I’ll do anything to help you see how much I love you…”

Yuto smiles softly when Mikitama yawns and he lays down with her in his arms.

He starts humming softly and gently playing with her hair as she falls asleep.

“I love so so much, my sweet angel…” He whispers and presses a kiss to her forehead, making her blush and smile softly in her sleep.

“I love you too, Yuyu…” She mumbles into his chest, making him smile as tears fill his eyes again.

“I’ll do my absolute best to never hurt you again, my angel…”
