The match turned out to be competitive, but M. Alves/Cukierman tried to step up their return game, attempting to return slightly deeper as evident at the beginning of the second set. However, the second seeds bounced back as they regained the more effective point construction they had from the first set, extending the points until they saw the open court to finish, or returning deeply until the unseeded pair had committed unforced errors. This way, they generated 8 break points even if they only converted only 1 of them in the first set compared to M. Alves/Cukierman's 40% conversion rate, but the said proactive returns helped them carrying through the match tie-break to stand out there.

Service game-wise, both pairs also had distinct service game strengths throughout the match. In this case, first serves helped the second seed out of some troubles in this competitive match as they scored 3 aces than M. Alves/Cukierman's 2, putting them 10% ahead in their first serve percentage. Even though both pairs double-faulted four times, the latter still won 5% more points from their second serves than P. Niklas-Salminen/J. Nam, but they could not capitalize on their follow-ups as the second seeds returned slightly deeper, which resulted in their frequent +1 errors under pressure, including in the match tie-break.

In the quarterfinals, P. Niklas-Salminen/J. Nam will face the Sabanov brothers (Ivan/Matej), who defeated wild cards Lukas Pokorny/Igor Zelenay 4-6, 7-5, [10-7] in also a competitive encounter. This could also be a competitive feat for both pairs, which highly depended on their pacing and point construction and how everything turns out. Should be interesting to see what happens as this match progressed, considering the possible dynamics!

The match tie-break became a topsy-turvy one, but it depended on how they finished their points. After four points, a failed volley from J. Nam secured M. Alves/Cukierman's mini-break (3-2) only to be foiled due to an unforced error (3-3). This was carried on through the second seeds' forehand return ace to set up their mini-break (4-3) only to be fumbled over another unforced error (4-4).

Within the next few points, M. Alves' forehand error generated J. Nam/P. Niklas-Salminen's mini-break before the latter consolidated the lead, but the former smashed it as well to equalize the point (6-6). It took several more points before Cukierman's +1 forehand from around the post got through J. Nam's groin before the latter split, but the forehand also went too far away that it was out for the second seeds' mini-break to 8-7. Carrying on with a service game hold to 9-7, they continued by converting their match point to 10-7, securing their spot in the quarterfinals as a result.
