So...let me get this straight again once and for all because I can't believe this isn't just a very, very bad fever dream.
After horribly killing him off in Infinity War, they decide to bring him back as a complete caricature of himself, basically making him an incompetent bumbling fool, to let their insufferable Mary Sue shine who shits all over him with the rest of the other characters for a whole damn season and then they reward him, after all this unnecessary additional torment, with the responsibility to fix the mess caused by Mary Sue, holding the timelines together for all eternity, doomed to be alone forever...something they also made him say he is the most scared of, multiple times.
How very fucking lovely
I can't believe I'm actually saying this but I wish he would've just stayed dead after IW
Also I hope everyone responsible for this, steps on Legos multiple times a day for the rest of their lifes
#loki series criticism#anti loki series#anti sylvie#loki season 2 spoilers#also can we talk about how he finally got out of that awful brown suit#only to be put in some fucking RAG#did they run out of budget at the end#like how hard can it be for a million dollar company to make an actual costume#fuck the mcu

So...Thoughts on the whole people thinking Sylvie is Aro-Ace? I can kinda see her being Aromantic, but with her mentioning she's more "hedonistic" than Loki and silently hinting that she's Bi too, can't really see her as Asexual. But what do you think?
LET'S TALK ABOUT SYLVIE'S SEXUALITY, HER RELATIONSHIPS WITH LOKI AND MOBIUS, & HER CONTRIBUTIONS TO THE SERIES NARRATIVE
Before I answer this, I think it's important to acknowledge that fictional characters exist for people's comfort and pleasure. I write original fiction, and I would hope that most artists believe in the right of the audience to interpret character to meet their personal needs. To me, canon is a sandbox. Everyone should play with it as they please and not hate on each other. There are more important things in life to worry about. Therefore, if Sylvie reads as Aro-Ace to you and that reading brings you joy, then she is.
This question inherently requires the need to talk about Sylki in this post. I predominantly analyze Lokius, so please, no hate! My number one rule is never yucking someone's yum. Furthermore, Sylvie plays a critical role in Loki's development and the philosophical thrust of the series, of which Mobius also contributes to as the other half of Loki's character arc equation (selflessness and sparing life [Mobius] + free will and revolution [Sylvie]). It would be biased and disingenuous to not acknowledge her contributions to the overarching narrative.
ARO-ACE INTERPRETATION
All right, your question! I can definitely can see Sylvie as being aro-ace. That's a legitimate interpretation based on how she responds to Loki's flirtation and romantic advances. It is also possible that she's an aromantic bisexual. This second possibility is more likely based on the text the audience is given.
THE CANON TEXT
Having said that, I think you're curious about what the source material is trying to say about Sylvie's character and how that influences her sexuality. I believe it's important to remember that external behavior doesn't dictate how someone defines themselves. Closeting and disengagement from intimacy because of trauma are prime examples of this.
The train scene in S1E4 reads as earnest. Loki and Sylvie are both very lonely characters. In this moment, both are trying to connect with someone who finally understands them because they are the same. It's actually a lovely nod to the queer experience.
The dialogue, lighting, and costuming (blue, purple, pink) in this scene communicates they are both queer, specifically bisexual. The lighting and costuming combining to represent the bisexual pride flag is an example of queer subtext in film. The dialogue, while direct, is also written in such a way that it avoids explicitly stating "men and women." Sylvie later comments that the brief flings she indulges in during apocalypses helped her "keep going". She even specifies that apocalypses make people desperate. This suggests that Sylvie likely didn't need to do much wooing or charming like Loki would to obtain a sexual partner. Finally, the way Tom and Sophie play this scene is vulnerable. I therefore believe we can take this on-screen admission at face value.
So the question becomes, why does Sylvie respond to Loki's flirtations the way she does?
SYLVIE'S BACKGROUND
Sylvie was orphaned and forced to run all her life from a very young age. Her backstory is deeply tragic. To live in such a way means that she never had the opportunity to experience adolescence.
NOTE: This is honestly my favorite gif of Sylvie. She's so sweet and cute when she's happy. I can't get over the 5 stars on her employee badge. "Sylvie, can you refill the straws?" "Already did it!" The sweetheart.
Sylvie working at McDonald's accomplishes two things: it allows Disney to fulfill their advertising sponsorship agreement for the fast-food franchise, and it subtly alludes to Sylvie's need to live the adolescence she didn't get to. The TVA forced her into arrested development. She never had the chance to make friends and safely socialize on her own terms. The centuries of trauma have made trust, let alone romance, completely foreign to her.
Which is why, when Loki and Sylvie have romantic scenes, she is often awkward or, if not unreceptive, wary. Her previous flings, as she agrees with Loki, were "never real". Physical intimacy without emotional intimacy is a familiar dynamic for both characters. Their relationship with one another is their first experience of emotional intimacy (or at least attempt at it) outside of their families. The pursuit of this emotional intimacy feels safe to them because they are the same entity and thus they know each other's base nature (versus nurture!) to some degree.
The difference between them is that Sylvie has not experienced social rejection in the way Loki has (nurture!). She recognizes the wrongness with which the TVA has treated her. She knows the absolute atrocities the TVA has committed. She is determined to destroy them to free herself and all timelines. Sylvie is consequently more self-assured, more confident in what she wants and believes in, than Loki. In S2, Sylvie's clarity on desire is what allows her to help Loki articulate what he wants: his friends back, most especially Mobius.
In S1E1, Loki, still posturing before Mobius, describes himself as a "liberator". At this point in the story, we know that isn't true, but it will become true by the finale. This line of dialogue foreshadows Loki's trajectory as well as Sylvie's revealed motivation in S1E4: to liberate.
THE NEXUS EVENT
There are a variety of ways for viewers to interpret what exactly the Nexus Event was. The canon, within the text of Mobius's dialogue and verbal confirmation from the creators, is that Loki and Sylvie fell in love. Now, I'm not going to spend time arguing over other interpretations here, but I will say that regardless of whatever pairing or OT3 a viewer ships, the Nexus Event was ALSO definitively this: two Lokis in the same place, at the same time, not feeling lonely together.
And Sylvie, who had confessed to Loki she has no friends and has never really experienced joy, answers Renslayer with the number of positive memories she has:
Sylvie doesn't state it outright, but the subtext is clear that her one positive memory was her time with Loki on Lamentis. Indeed, moments later, Sylvie prunes herself in an effort to find and rescue him.
SYLVIE & MOBIUS
But being the harshly pragmatic individual she is, upon arrival and encountering Alioth, Sylvie assumes Loki didn't make it. I don't think Sylvie means what she says in a cruel way. I think she believes this because she is accustomed to disappointment and accordingly guards herself with cynicism. Sylvie's traumas, her difficulty with trust, her inexperience with intimate relationships, and her cynicism all combine to create an individual who may appear aro-ace when that may not necessarily be the case. Please note, however, that Sylvie being aro-ace or aro-bisexual may still be a possibility. My analysis here is based on what the text and subtext seem to be telling us about her character.
Notably, it is Mobius who is more optimistic about Loki's survival, wondering if Sylvie truly believes that Loki is dead.
This moment is brief, but it is significant because Mobius's optimism implies that not only does he believe in Loki, he also wants Loki to be alive. Sylvie is intelligent. She can read between the lines. We can also assume an off-screen conversation took place between them that confirmed for Sylvie Mobius's genuine care for Loki. When Sylvie informs Loki of this fact, I believe we get this:
Mobius was conservative in how Loki might interpret their relationship, extending a handshake before their goodbyes. Loki, on the heels of his conversation with Sylvie, chooses to hug him instead. The result: Mobius is delighted!
I've long pondered on why Mobius would say, "You're my favorite" to Sylvie. I believe this is why: she helped along their friendship and opened the gates for physical affection between them. This demonstrates that Sylvie cares enough for Loki to ensure he is secure in his bond with Mobius. It likely helped that Mobius did not deny the TVA's evil when she pointed it out to him, and that he did not hesitate to apologize to her for it.
Ironically, it is Mobius's optimism, especially in the potential of broken things to become something better (whether it is Loki himself or the TVA), that creates the fraught philosophical divide between Sylvie and Mobius (and Loki) with regards to the TVA in S2.
THE S1 FINALE
The S2 finale is where the narrative between Loki and Sylvie turns, and the plot pivots to the deepening relationship between Loki and Mobius. Triggering this event is Loki's desire to slow down and think about the consequences of killing HWR in the Citadel at The End of Time.
This may seem out-of-character at first glance. S1E1-E4 have demonstrated that Loki's decision making is sometimes chaotic by virtue of impulse. What was the last impulsive decision he made with heavy consequences?
He ran off after Sylvie. A good decision ultimately, as Loki learns the truth about the TVA through Sylvie, but only by luck. This decision very nearly cost Loki a friendship, one he didn't even realize he had until Mobius called him a "bad friend."
Despite the fallout, Mobius recovers relatively quickly once he confirms Loki's claims and views Ravonna's recording of C-20. He reestablishes trust with Loki as soon as possible to help Loki be with the one he loves. Why? Because Mobius is ultimately selfless and wants Loki's happiness regardless of his own feelings of jealousy.
Which circles us back to the theme of trust and Sylvie's challenges with it.
Loki and Sylvie's relationship falls apart not because of lack of mutual interest, but because Sylvie loses trust in Loki and with good reason: HWR (and thus the TVA) is the cause of all her suffering.
It is not Sylvie's fault she is this way. She hasn't had enough time to develop meaningful relationships, and the one relationship that was meaningful to her (Loki's) became, in her eyes, a profound betrayal. This experience only adds to the other traumas Sylvie carries with her, making encounters with Loki in S2 emotionally difficult if not triggering.
The relationships of Loki & Sylvie and Loki & Mobius are intentionally set side-by-side for 3 critical reasons:
1.) To demonstrate Loki's growth by developing trust and thus emotional intimacy with others.
2.) To create the Plot B emotional source of conflict in S2.
3.) To set-up Mobius and Sylvie's individual beliefs and values (selflessness and sparing life [Mobius] + free will and revolution [Sylvie]), which Loki combines into his own system of beliefs and values. This combination gives Loki the strength and wisdom to ascend the throne and become the God of Stories (and Time).
THE S2 FINALE
Loki comes to his final decision after speaking with the two halves of his character arc equation. Loki first seeks out Mobius, who shares with him the distinction between himself and Ravonna. Now, this is brainwashed Mobius. Brainwashed Mobius believed Ravonna could do the impossible while he couldn't. But Loki knows Ravonna's corruption.
Beneath Mobius's wisdom that "most purpose is more burden than glory" is also Mobius's heart: he could not prune children and that instinct was the right decision. His "failure" was not a failure of duty but rather his humanity succeeding despite the brainwashing. It's this same intrinsic compassion that drove Mobius to convince Ravonna to spare Loki. Loki articulates this to Don as such. He therefore takes the message of selflessness and sparing life from Mobius to Sylvie.
Sylvie, in turn, challenges Loki, stating they should have the freedom and right to fight whatever comes on their own terms.
She also stresses that it is all right to destroy things. Upon hearing this, Loki comes to the conclusion that what is destroyed must be replaced with something better. What needs to be destroyed? Not the TVA and the people in it (not Mobius, Verity, OB, and Casey), but the Loom.
Loki sacrificed himself (selflessness + sparing life [Mobius]) in order to save all timelines (free will + revolution [Sylvie]). Loki sparing Sylvie's life is a direct consequence of Mobius having fought to spare his.
Through this sacrifice, Loki gifts Sylvie the chance to get the type of positive experiences she wants and needs, which includes future romance, if she so chooses. That is canon and is a genuinely romantic gesture regardless of anyone's interpretation of mutual reciprocation or lack thereof.
It is also canon that Loki loves Mobius and Mobius loves Loki. Their actions for one another across both seasons demonstrate this to be true. Is it also romantic? Absolutely. Is it sexual? On screen, no, and it doesn't have to be. Romance does not require sex, let alone physical contact, to exist.
Loki loves them both.

💙 hi and welcome to my ted talk about the latest episodes of what if, please read through (3) 💙
First of all. Why is season 2 so...happy?
I'm not complaining. Marvel has enough sad stories for a lifetime, but I found that, instead of exploring demises, we're now seeing victories. Old villains find their insight and become heroes (Hela, Nebula, Gamora) and lives are influenced for the better, earlier on (Peter Quill, Bucky, Hope).
It might be nothing.
But I think it's something.
You know what season 2 of what if comes right after? Season 2 of Loki. And, as you'll see at the end of this post, their colors are making themselves known.
Could it be that, from his throne, Loki got sick of watching sad stories and seeing worlds die? There is a chance, I don't know how plausible, but there is, that he's influencing all that we saw this season. A little hope here, a little time there, and, using their free will, everyone gets a second chance.
That, or Uatu felt bad for us and wanted to gift us in honor of New Year being in 1-2 days. Do tell me if you have additions on that.
If I had to bet on something, it would be the overall fan reaction to the opening scene. I screamed, yes. Did they expect us to see Loki's name there in the subtitles and be totally chill about it?
"To be or not to be, that is the question"
I can totally see Tom having this idea for the opening scene: just Loki reciting Hamlet, and altough to his brother's bordedom, acting from Shakespeare. And it was the best idea he could have.
It's a missable detail, but Thor mentions Mjölnir! And you know how? As a gift...for Loki!
He responds to that with "I...have misplaced it" which is, yeah, typical, but how do you just lose Mjölnir, Loki? The idea, however, is that he'd be able to lift it, which I would have loooved to see on screen. But this was fun to have too.
And the response to Captain Carter's "You're a bigger drama queen than your brother" (talking to Thor)?? 😭
"Blessed"
Can we also point out how insane it is that after just being stripped from her home in an unknown world, Peggy still wanted to help?
She not only has a hero's soul, she is that brave as to turn down The Watcher's warnings and offers to take her back safe. And remember, not everyone can hear Uatu as he narrates. But she can, sometimes.
"What if, what if, what if. I have to try."
"Not on my watch"
This ambition of hers, is, of course, given by her humanity too. But that's not only a bad thing. The Watcher's all knowing, his experience of seeing worlds die everyday, has made him unsensible (from our point of view). That's not the case for Peggy.
Amidst all her adventures, however, perhaps she's also searching to avenge the love she lost, searching for her happy ending. In the movie Endgame, I have to admit she felt optional, like Steve wasn't meant to be there with her. But not now.
I wish The Watcher told her she has a happy ending somewhere.
I don't know about you, but this episode...is my favourite ever from the series. It used to be the Strange Supreme one, but that's on the second place of the podium now.
We got to see queen Hela, drama prince/ actor Loki, king Thor. Bucky, NOT the Winter Soldier, and Steve, finally on the same page! Scarlet Witch!! Using her powers for good, not corrupted. All of them in cool costumes too. If things like these were on live action, I'd lose my f- mind, if I haven't already. :))
And now the green. The "rifts" that are tearing this world apart are very familiar in color.
And this is not the only thing that's turning green, when it used to be multi-colored. The prism, too, the one from which The Watcher watches and narrates. And I'm not talking about the Time Stone. I'm talking about the tree of life, and how it might actually have a serious impact over everything. I mean, does Uatu know anything? And what was that decorated Yggradsil in the trailer, before the holidays?
Nevertheless, I think it's related in some way, and if it's not, don't blame me. I really like green.
That being said, thanks for reading <3

Talking About a Mouse

You take your seat, eagerly waiting for the interview to start. Your production manager, Ethan, has scored you a ticket to a talk show where the interviewee was your childhood best friend, Tom. You hadn’t seen each other in years; he was filming for the new Marvel movie while you were filming your tv show UnEarthing the Past. Ethan got you a ticket as a surprise, and congratulations on a successful first season. You were giddy with anticipation.
“Please help me welcome the one, the only Tom Hiddleston!”
The crowd cheered as Tom walked on stage, waving at everyone in the audience before sitting on the couch across from the interviewer as the clapping slowly died. Logically, you knew he couldn’t see you with all those lights shining in his face - you've been on talk shows before, you know what it’s like - but it doesn’t stop the disappointment from stirring in your chest. Would he even want to see you? Sure, he called you while you were filming, and it made it into the season finale, but that was something different - you've changed since you last saw each other. Would he even want to remain friends?
The first 30 minutes of the interview go well; questions about his role as Loki, if he has any celebrity crushes and all the other typical invasive talk show questions. You were zoning out until one specific question caught your attention.
“There has been some buzz online about you being in the Discovery Channel show UnEarthing the Past. Do you know anything about that?”
Tom chuckles, and your hearts swell, hearing his laugh again in person. “Ah, Mouse, she said it wouldn’t stay in the final cut! Mouse hosts that show; she and I go back to when we were children. She’s my best friend, and I called her to see if she could go to the screening with me, but she mentioned she was busy filming and couldn’t talk. That’s all it is.”
You laughed along with the audience, a faint blush on your cheeks. You tried to keep it out of the final cut, but Ethan thought it would boost viewers to name-drop one of Hollywood's hottest celebrities. You wanted more than anything to attend the screening, but you were in Guatemala researching the Mayan Empire.
The interviewer waits until most of the laughter quieted before asking the next question, one you just knew would be either about you, your show or your friendship with Tom. “Have you watched an episode of her show?”
Tom nods without missing a beat. “I have seen every single one; I even got the cast hooked on it; Sebastian and I watch recordings whenever we aren’t needed on set. I have RDJ dying to meet her. My fiance loves it, too, Zawe hasn’t met Mouse yet, but she wants to so badly. I just haven’t had a chance to get Mouse back to LA; she’s always off on some adventure.”
The audience erupts in “oohs” and “awes.” while your face turns bright red. You wanted to make your presence known, but you weren’t sure how. To your knowledge, this show had a section where audience members could ask questions to the interviewee; you chose to wait until that time to let him know you were there.
“How do you two stay in contact after all these years and having such a busy schedule?”
Tom laughs again, leaning back on the couch. “It’s a shame Mouse isn’t here to answer these. We text each each each other as often as we can, and it’s usually updates on her show or sneak peeks into mine. She loves my Loki costume, so I’ll send her pictures when I get the chance, but she is also obsessed with Sebastian Stan, so just to torment her, I’ll send her a picture of Seb and me together.”
You laugh, but as soon as the next question leaves the interviewer's lips, you start worrying about how appropriate your friendship with Tom really was. “What does Zawe think about your friendship?”
“Zawe doesn’t care. She knows the deep love and respect I have for Mouse. Mouse encouraged me to get into acting in the first place; she encouraged me to pursue Zawe. I do not appreciate you implying I’m cheating on my fiance simply because I am friends with another woman.”
After a brief moment of awkward silence, the interviewer changes the subject, asking Tom questions about Marvel or Zawe, anything other than you and your friendship. It gave you plenty of time to think up your question for Tom.
After another 30 minutes of questions, the moment you have been waiting for finally arrives. The crew member in the audience hands you a microphone so you can ask your question. “How did your friend get the nickname Mouse?”
Tom’s eyebrows furrow slightly, and his nose wrinkle, indicating he is contemplating something. Did he recognize your voice?
“She was always so quiet and reserved, just like a mouse,” Tom responded, shielding his eyes from the light to see if he could get a better look at whoever asked the question. You laugh into the mic before the lights dim, and Tom sees your face. “You call me Mouse because when we were kids, we would always play cat and mouse; however, because you’re older, you always got to be the cat.”
Tom’s lips pull back into his signature smile before he jumps off the stage and runs up the aisle to you, pulling you into the tightest hug you’ve ever had to date. It felt good to hug him again, given that the last hug you ever got from him was when you graduated from archaeology school several years ago. He finally releases you, adjusting his suit jacket before pulling you into his side.
“I would like you all to meet my childhood best friend, Mouse!”

Since I see a lot of reactions on articles/quotes from the Loki crew and cast, here are some general reminders when it comes to stuff like this;
There are so many people working on a show/movie and everyone make decisions creating the final product we watch. Of course they do a lot of work to unite their visions and make it cohesive, but "contradictions" may still happen. We often talk about the obvious people behind a show, the actors, writers and directors, but there are also costume designers, composers and editors, etc. All of these people can have different perspectives and pull things in different directions, that just sort of comes with the nature of making such a big show.
And then it comes to producing a show itself. Productions are messy. Things get reworked on the spot because what might've worked on the page didn't work in practice, props break and need to be changed, actors can't be in for the day, etc. All of these affect the final products in chaotic ways. Sometimes unpredictable things like this may get in the way of or improve the story.
And finally articles/interviews purpose is to provide this one specific person's perspective and promote the show, or engage fans.
So take these things with a grain of salt. You don't need to base your entire view on the show on statements from cast/crew. Is the line less meaningful because it was improvised? Should we consider an episode to be less canon because it was apparently rewritten a lot from its original state?
Your fan experience will likely be healthier and more fun if you try to mainly engage with the art you have in front of you. If you read quotes from creators and feel frustrated that they are inconsistent with the art - first of all, art is subjective, it just comes with the territory. But my main point of the post is that even if a person is working on the show, it doesn't mean that their view is 100% represented within the text. You don't need to go full Death of the Author here, but you gotta remember there isn't just one author and that author's intent at work here, there is a production, with all that comes with it. And honestly? That's what makes it interesting. All of these visions coming together to create art that we get to take part in, and whatever vision we're getting as a viewer might be something completely unique.
#marvel blogging#loki#loki spoilers#KINDA#marvel#this is a long way to say: you dont need to go death of the author but it is more fun that way#IDK I CARE A LOT ABOUT THIS TOPIC SO I NEEDED TO PUT IT ALL DOWN#ive struggled with this before. getting bummed out by weird comments made by cast or crew but like. it aint HEALTHY. it aint fun.#i wanna be clear this is NOT a 'lokius truthing' post#this is NOT a 'dont worry it is canon dont listen to them!' post#im also feeling a lot for the sylki fans who are being told it was abt their romance when s2 very much downplayed that aspect of the writin#this is just like.#literally a reminder of how productions work#I AM A DESTIEL AND THE HOBBIT TRILOGY ENJOYER. ENJOY IT. enjoy that laugh at it and feel seen#but if it makes you feel shitty it might be better to just leave it at the door#like it isnt just more fun and healthy that way i think it leads to more interesting conversations about art#thinking abt how the destiel 15x18 handprint was an accident of them realising they had to change the location of the confession#bc they had earlier fucked up a door and the script had missed it.#and tHEN it lead to the bloody handprint

Spends over an hour talking to my buddy about comics once he finished Loki finally and sent me a meme to fucking talk shit on the poetry boys LMFAO
Casually writes a novel on comic blorbos.......
Jer brought up a really neat point and we kinda went off on like... both our experiences with Marvel comics and how they have a habit of shooting themselves in the foot with their fucking retcons and shit. Mostly like, in terms of it weirdly kinda... detracts from characters and maybe bits and pieces people related to? For me it was what drew me INTO dynamics of characters at times?
Now, I haven't touched a comic in almost 10 years so... anything that happened from the Marvel NOW! launch and forward is a mystery to me, and I'm ignorant on [to preface this long ass post...] Also my memory is spotty.
Also possibly spoilers for the new season if you haven't caught up on Loki :v so yaknow. IF YOU READ THIS AND CARE...
Jer and I were talking about the basis of the show really kinda became like how can we take this fan favorite character, let him have some emotional depth, maybe have some friends and do some fucky stuff with it. LETS GET WEIRD WITH IT??
It kinda harkens back to themes that made me ultimately fall in love with Deadpool comics, and reminds me of why I dropped reading his stuff too. I'll circle back to this lol.
Anyone who knows me, knows I'm a huge sucker for a found family, and I'm a bigger sucker for characters defeating fate or the narrative. I'm big on the best friend/possible romantic option of a character that sees what an absolute dumpster fire next to a textile factory someone is, and still thinks there's something good in there.
I find it funny how much I couldn't STAND the hype of Loki as a character as long as he's been in the MCU because my experience with him has always been comics/cartoons and him being a little HOO HOO HEE HEE gremlin of a bastard. Just HATED him. Excellent MCU costume designs though.
The movies he's just a little weasel of a backstabbing bastard, and I find him annoying. Like yes, I see there's emotional trauma in EVERYTHING that makes his background aside from his mother, and yes I get the narrative of him as a villain etc - but I don't feel compelled by it, personally. That's just me though - I'm FASCINATED by people that are civil minded stans and can argue for why he's fascinating. But also, how much of that is personal projection too?
When I was getting into comics, the Siege event was going on so Loki's face was everywhere in like...2010?? So many teeth... And he was KILLED, and they started doing the Kid Loki stuff and I read a little bit of that because two of my RP friends in the Avenger's group I was in - and it was neat! Then in like 2014 they started doing... what was it, Agent of Asgard? That was....something. I never read it but it was interesting to see them make a workaround for them to kinda...breathe new life into a character people were getting into again!
NEAT STUFF, THAT'S NEAT TO ME!! I LOVE A REVAMP LIKE THAT!! I like the Marvel theme of escaping your reputation. I love that theme. It's like what they did with Evan, the uh Kid Apocalypse. I adore the whole aftermath of Uncanny X-Force for that - Evan just...fucking destined to be Apocalypse and fucking he's so DETERMINED NOT TO BE, and to learn his powers etc. I'm pretty sure he became... Genesis? And died fighting... ;; big sigh... at least he proved his worth, right?
But Jer and I talking about all this kinda made me sad too because we were discussing sort of the way Marvel can take an unlikeable bastard, and with the right handling, they can get something REALLY interesting with it!!
When I first got into Deadpool like...2011 or something I did it because I was annoyed seeing him everywhere and thought 'Surely there's more to him than fart and ass jokes?' and I was right, thankfully.
But I'd also spend a lot of time slogging through a lot of shit, and seeing him kind of BECOME only fart and ass jokes... Like, the movies are fun and stuff, I guess but... I honestly can't stand them very much. But that's me, if people enjoy them? Okay, tight. But also like Daniel Way just, OOF.
Interesting parallel - kinda made it click in place WHY I think I've been enjoying the Loki show. Like, when I picked up Deadpool I SLOGGED through the Joe Kelly run, which is just Wade being a little self-depreciating soggy, abusive and shitheaded person really. Hiding behind his paper bag over his face, excusing his actions because shit sucks - like just kind of a shitty awful and exhausting person overall. WOE!!! A piece of shit! And I get some of the shit that happens to him outside the OBVIOUS is fucky - but I don't know, it was kinda relentless. I feel like even when life deals you all lemons, there's still something in there to tell storywise to curb just the ONSLAUGHT of oh wow poor me... Can you tell I don't enjoy this run of comics? LMAO
But as you get through that, you start to get side comics that kinda do a bit more to polish him up. He's a jerk, and he's sensitive to how fucked up his face looks, but he isn't a wet feral animal ALL the time? He's just rude. Really rude. Random. We start to grasp OOOH IT'S AN EMOTIONAL RESPONSE TO COVER SHIT WITH JOKES... man, I can relate to that haha HAHAHHA....
I got into reading Cable & Deadpool because my friend Johnly was HUGE into Xmen and it seemed inevitable to get into it... but it was well written and drawn and like... I'm married to it as my favorite comic. Those are my boys. Those are my besties. That's the comic ship I didn't ask for and I got it. That's the bromance/romance I go up to bat for. Any capacity - those are the BOYS. MY SONS.
It's my favorite trope; I've seen your worst, and I still think there's good in you. You just need someone in your corner.
FUCKING SCREAMS. Even still, in a non-shipping way that's my fucking duo DYNAMIC. You will sell me so often on ANYTHING with that.
When Cable and Deadpool came around, it rolled in after the Agent X comic, which gave us like a 'Clone' of Deadpool who had a WHOLE ENTOURAGE OF FRIENDS like a rag tag bunch of misfits who were a very unconventional FOUND FAMILY. Wade was still a fucking dick, a bastard a lot of times - but his friends saw value in him and stuck around still. Even ones he was recently a demon to, like...man.
And even more so; when Nate pulls the dick move of sacrificing himself, he had that support network of friends there for him to process that, because it hurts no matter how you see their relationship. That was his best friend. It hit hard.
It hits hard especially because Nate and him start out moral enemies. Wade hates him because he's holier than thou, and Nate hates him because he's a nuisance, he's a mercenary - there's a laundry list tbh. Untrustworthy. He's scum! The closer they keep rotating around one another - or into eachother even jfc - they start to tolerate one another, and start to talk more, and Nate starts to really talk about how Wade could do better and be better. Wade starts to see value in himself more, he's still sharp tongued with Nate, but he starts to also be a bit softer with him, joke around and sees value in HIM and what he's trying to accomplish with Providence and stuff. He sees the vision - but he also sees the danger of that vision in regards to Nate's LIFE.... So there's a lot of selfish shit on both sides of the fence that's interesting.
They don't always agree, but Wade starts to come around, and Nate does this thing where people will be like YO DEADPOOL BE CRAZY WHY YOU ROLLIN' WITH HIM? And he is in his corner to be like hey, that's my boy Wade like give him a chance? HE'S DIFFERENT NOW. But yaknow they also emotionally manipulate one another in weird ways. :)) SIGH.
GIVE AND TAKE I GUESS. But it's interesting to see the evolution of trust and openness?? They're best friends, you can't argue that.
AND YAKNOW...we were discussing the response to this actually!! In Loki it was interesting to see Mobius say shit like that to him [how he can BE BETTER, he can be whatever he wants to be!!] and he just kinda.... I don't know, he's a villain by definition and yet he's whipped 'round into this anti-hero kinda position that becomes curious. But he doesn't lash out when he's told this shit, because the fight has mostly left by that point. He doesn't know what to do with those words?? Like yeah, okay.
But, conversely, with Nate and Wade... Nate is very heavy handed with it, and Wade is INSANELY volatile with his emotions because of how his brain is always in flux. And...he gets to a point he starts lashing out about it, about how Nate is trying to change him and he's FINE AS HE IS, AND HE'S TIRED OF HIS SHIT. They lash out a lot, but Nate also is kind of a controlling shit. He wants to play god, where as yaknow... Mobius has ALL THE TIME IN THE WORLD FOR THE SHITHEAD TO UNDERSTAND IF HE DIDN'T WANNA LISTEN.
Honestly hilarious, the similarities...
But Jer and I were talking about how it's interesting to us that the show really focused on WHO is Loki without his magic. He's a con-man, he's a fast talker, he's a violent little feral cat. He doesn't know what trust and care is honestly, because even in his own family there were so many lies and hostility. So they pit him with this partner who has seen every trick and BULLSHIT THING he's ever said and done, and is like "Yeah yeah big scary God, wow. ANYWAY-" He is both fascinated, complimentary, and utterly flippant about Loki and that's interesting. We meet someone, a whole organization, that isn't phased by the existence of Gods.
It's interesting to see tunnel vision character exploration - small cast exploration - on characters that are deemed bad, but have a weird thing about them that doesn't necessarily mean they're REDEEMABLE, but that they have something that is inherently BROKEN in their past that can be nursed? Latent potential to be good.
They're not hardwired to be good guys, they can be good people, but it's harder and more exhaustive. But sometimes - it's nice.
But uh yeah - SO ANYWAY, moves down the line some more here -
WEIRD SIMILARITIES. But they're there and maybe that's what I liked about the show. You present me with a character I already don't like, you mock him and kinda kick him when he's down and then have this guy show up who is like... not really a fanboy but - HE KNOWS EVERYTHING. He doesn't appear phased at all the shit he can throw at him, and he plants the seed that he can be better.
And I love that the show is two seasons. It's short, it's sweet, it does a lot of really interesting things I'm obsessed with visually and narratively you can fiddle with. It has a very bittersweet ending, but it's not 100% sad for me. I love that they got this irredeemable broken bastard, and they gave him a win - and yet it's still, in Loki's nature, a loss. But he has all the time in the universe to figure things out. If he can ascend like that in just a few centuries - what's to say he can't free himself from his coffin of his own making.
We're given a consequential win, and I've already see fans making fix-its that are PHENOMENAL. My FAVORITE things to see and read for fanfic topics is people playing with the sandbox. I hate that people ALWAYS assume you know, sexual shit when you say you read fanfic - I am OBSESSED with people playing with the sandbox and fixing issues. Continuing the story. Developing insane head canons, coming up with the most INTERESTING INTRICATE IDEAS and still leaving me on a cliff hanger.
You've taken a bastard, redeemed him, and influenced CREATIVE MINDS to play with it in a positive way. I've seen most people express APPROVAL but sadness with the ending and that's I think the best thing to happen! It's how I still feel about the Mass Effect 3 ending :))
Conversely it all really highlighted my sadness of how with comics, we can so easily run a good idea into the ground, and how ya'know... you can see your character MAKE that 180 or you can see them do like a 320 and come out a little worse....
For Deadpool, C&DP ends on a VERY bitter note of Nate sacrificing himself, he is depressed about it, I think they have a big talk with him about it with the Agent X fam? My timeline is fucky with the 3 'ending' points of C&DP - full transparency lol. But... after this comic comes the numerous team ups - like him trying to find his place in the world, and then in like 2008 [which I'd been working towards, and was excited for because the art was really CRISP...] you hit Daniel Way.
Way's Deadpool introduces the ANNOYING yellow box and white box almost as if he was split personalities, where as it was really just like...thought boxes, just colored uniquely... As far as I've read, this has been retconned in recent comics. But it's the big staple in all things Deadpool - but.... Way's Deadpool is very disjointed, he's trying to date and marry death, he's suicidal because he wants to be with her forever, he is a lot of dick and fart jokes that just don't hit for me - he has funny moments but I can't think of a single serious moment I got emotional over?? You gotta give us reasons to connect with our character, or things that hit us to stick with us? I felt like I was just reading low punches a lot?
But it did this weird thing, that I'm trying to find any of the wikis talk about and coming up blank, but there's this point in the comics where in Way's... he basically gets hunted down by his whole support net? It's like a big thing? Like everyone hates him and shit? But somehow EVERY WRITER AFTER THIS ACTS LIKE THINGS WERE FINE~
Like they hunted this man for SPORT it was WEIRD. It was so.... weird?? Going through my own tag I didn't even blog about it... weird??
But I dunno, it left a bad taste in my mouth to like reduce Wade down to like... what they did. C&DP works really hard to kinda get people to see some value in Wade, and then Way's DP just kinda tears that structure down and all he has is Bob left whom he really is AWFUL AS HELL TO....
It's sad to me. The new comics started, and I left shortly after, in like...what...2012? I was really excited for the team, the writers and artists involved and he looked GNARLY but interesting and I loved the colors and - it was gonna be WEIRD and funny... but they kinda kept leaning into the like...
You know when you don't wanna talk to someone, or be seen by someone and you shield your face and walk the other way? I feel like we were back to that with Deadpool. Like it was EMBARRASSING to be seen with him, even though in the aftermath of C&DP we did all those team-ups and had some great cross overs and EVEN HAD A SPIDERMAN COMIC THAT WE SAW THEY COULD BE CIVIL [we all know I hate how Peter treats Wade and I have bad blood with those shippers still :)) never forgive, never forget! But boy howdy he was an ass to him WHICH IS FAIR BECAUSE MORAL DIFFERENCES...] but like?? We were back to HAHA WOW HE'S CRINGE... which is a bummer.
I dunno.
Jer just kinda really hit a nerve in my brain when he pointed out how the show kinda did a thing we don't see the pay off for as often as we should. Turning over a new leaf, and truly discovering what it means to do a selfless action?
And it just kinda reminded me how I love Wade being a SNARKY piece of shit, and how bad he is at trying to be a good person - he's just a weird little guy, he knows he's not a hero and he doesn't really try to be. He just tries to be real with people? But he IS a good ally, and he HAS the capacity to be loyal, and he -
Man like. ACTUALLY MY FAVORITE ARC? UNCANNY X-FORCE.
FUCKING ANGEL FROM XMEN HAS A SMALL TEAM AND THEY HAVE A JOB TO DO AND THEY HIRE FUCKING WADE TO COME WITH, AND EVERYONE IS ANNOYED BECAUSE HE'S ANNOYING and he's ya'know DEADPOOL.... and when they get to the fucking end of the mission and it's like hey, you gotta kill this kid Apocalypse? Fucking he DRAWS THE LINE. No women, no kids! He makes a STINK about it. Logan and Fantomex are like yo, what the FUCK you're being paid for this you bastard - and it's Angel or Betsy who points out that Wade never cashed any of the checks.
Like Wade half the time would go along on an Xmen mission just for the benefit of being INCLUDED honestly. Some of the writers use to really GET THAT. He use to hold them with a lot of reverence. And I feel like that was a big thing I was sad about with the movies was removing that kinda "WOOOOW IT'S THE GANG" vibes... he's just kinda... jaded? Hm. Huffs. ME TOO THOUGH LMAO.
Uncanny X-Force is so delightful... and even still too a lot of people...really don't paint him in a loyal light or care about his connections to people and it's sad. In the Messiah War arc like Cable specifically calls on Deadpool to have his back and fight with him while he's transporting baby Hope, and he gets so UPSET when he has to leave. It's not good bye~ and Wade is so sad because he thought they were a team again. AND I WANTED IT SO BADLY, I wanted him to have that stability he deserved, a friend. THE GUY WHO SAW WHAT HE WAS CAPABLE OF.
There's random good moments in random comics, and of course they meet again in a Deadpool & Cable comic, which is good and done by some of the older team. Idk. I wish...
I wish I could still read comics in confidence they wouldn't scrub whole segments of a character.
It's like a post Dazz reblogged the other day about how characters have less weight these days because we're scrubbing lime line events from them in desires to make them TIMELESS and it's detrimental because there's no proportional trauma or event to really add that weight now and then, ya'know?
Me talking for too long.
Loki ended in a way I was pleased with, and I was surprised to end up liking that incarnation of him, and being excited if they expand on him ever again - conversely if they don't wow, EMOTIONAL and amazing regardless. But, uh, they really uh... they really kinda coded that ending as eternal pining with those two. I didn't think much about it until a few weeks later someone posted something and it hit me sideways like a brick. How dare?
And I'm still mourning the fact there was a lot of hard work to get people to take Deadpool seriously as a character in universe, and to get him on teams, and they kinda took everything away from him, just to give him weird new things, only to take that away and rebuild him again. But at least he's FRIENDS with Cable I GUESS. But who knows the fuck is going on with him anymore. He's probably DEAD AGAIN... He sure died and came back wrong in my book :)
But I think that's just the thing with Marvel. You gotta pick your battles, and pick your story arcs to commit to. It's like when people are into a specific writer for Batman or something. SHRUGS.
Me casually being mad my friends can call my favorites, and why so easily and proceed to talk to me about it's narrative themes and character arcs so easily... I'm a predictable fucking pile of shit, I swear to god....
Me rereading this post: IS THIS ANYTHING? IT'S NOTHING. IT'S ALL NOTHING.
#marvel nonsense#deadpool nonsense#blows the caked on dust off those two tags#kat talks#ignore me#long post#I still want to finish my Xmen run I'm collecting#but I refuse to buy or read new shit and that makes me annoying I think!!!

A/N: I'm so excited for you all to read the first prompt from the new batch of requests! I hope you like it 😊 x
Prompt request by VampireQueen666 on A03: Tom Hiddleston is on the Avengers set and the others are giving him a little surprise celebration for something. Holland is tasked to watch him till they're done setting up. Hiddleston and Holland are watching tv in their costumes. Hiddleston knows Holland is hiding something, and he knows he can't keep a secret, So Hiddleston stars seducing him, kissing his neck and stripping him out of his costume, playing with Hollands naked body, Holland is having a hard time keeping the secret, sex ensues but Holland succeeds in keeping his mouth shut.
Summary: Tom Holland accidentally found out that The Avengers Infinity War cast and crew have been planning an anniversary party for him and Tom Hiddleston. Much to everyone's reluctance they intrust him to keep their secret from Tom, despite how he's never been any good at not giving away any spoilers. However he finds himself betting with Tom whether or not he can truly stay true to his word, having to endure a tortuously pleasurable coaxing, without spoiling anything.
Warnings: Smut, spanking, deprived orgasm, dirty talk, oral sex, masturbation, bondage, anal fingering, m/m established relationship, fuck used once?, teasing and dom Tom Hiddleston if you squint.
------------------------------
The Avengers Infinity War cast and crew cheered and clapped as filming had finally wrapped after an exhaustingly long day. During the aftermath some people formed small groups, standing around whilst chatting and laughing among themselves, also exchanges of a job well done. Hiddleston jumped up out of his chair and rushed over, wrapping an arm around Holland's neck, as he messed up his already static hair which was caused from wearing his Spiderman mask. Both Toms were laughing in between Holland's puny attempts at protesting.
"Now, now Loki play nice." RDJR mockingly-chastised with a smirk across his lips. Tom lets Holland go shortly thereafter, receiving a playful shove in return, then he follows that by pushing his face away playfully as if to get rid of his smile. Of course neither could stop smiling, and being close to each other. As proven by Hiddleston pulling Holland close to his side and placing a peck to his cheek.
Before long both Toms exit the set with Chris Hemsworth, the three of them chatting away, whilst Hiddleston walks with his arm around Holland's shoulders and Holland has his around Hiddleston's slim waist. Also, despite Hiddleston's last scene of the day having ended ages ago he waited around the set for Holland to finish, he enjoyed watching the younger man perfect his craft, and he couldn't wait to spend some alone time with him now the filming part of the day was over. Especially since it's their third month anniversary, having met during a meeting with Kevin Feige and other executives, as well as many others like Downey. It was merely their paths crossing briefly, kind of meeting, until they had gotten together a short while after filming had begun, both falling fast for the other. However what Hiddleston doesn't realise is that the cast and crew have been planning a little surprise party to celebrate the special occasion. Whereas Holland found out accidentally, and he now has been tasked keeping Hiddleston occupied, at least until the final preparations are finished.
"Remember what we all said earlier?" Chris Evans asks, after he races to catch up with them and Elizabeth Olsen in tow.
"Yeah, it's important mate. Keep this...." Hemsworth covers Holland's mouth with his palm as they halt in their tracks, "shut, alright?" He says seriously and then removes his hand, as Holland just nods in agreement.
"We're trusting you, ok?" Evans adds as he points his finger at him.
Hiddleston's eyebrows knit together in confusion, "about what?," he asks as he glances between them all.
Holland opens his mouth to speak but..."couldn't say, sorry..." Elizabeth says, then shrugs with her lips pressed into a thin line. Whereas both Chrises mumbled some nonsense, before they pointed into different directions, as if pretending they had been called away.
"Lizzy?" Tom tries to coax her to talk in his low menacing Loki voice, as he closes the distance between them.
"It won't work on me, Hiddles." Elizabeth says, folding her arms under her cleavage with a satisfying confidence in herself.
"Humph...it did when we were dating." The pair narrowed their gaze at each other and his jaw flexed while tightly clenched together.
Elizabeth is the first to break eye contact, "good luck with this one." She says teasingly and playfully pats Holland's cheek as she passes him.
"What's that supposed to mean?" Hiddleston asks defensively, but he's not given an answer or even a backwards glance as she disappears.
Holland came up beside Hiddleston and kissed his cheek. "Come on, don't let it spoil our anniversary." He says in an annoyingly comforting way, causing Hiddleston to roll his eyes at him, while a smile plays on his lips simultaneously.
Hiddleston then takes Holland's hand as they single file into Hiddleston's trailer. Once inside Holland gets comfy in the seating booth and instantly reaches for the TV remote, as Hiddleston closes the door behind them, then he moves gracefully towards the kitchenette which is opposite Holland. He is careful not to block the TV screen that is attached to the wall underneath some cabinets, as he grabs them a couple of beers out of the fridge. He twists off the caps before tossing them carelessly onto the counter and then he joins Holland in the booth. He sets both beers down onto the table before he slouches down and leans back into Holland's chest as he flicks through the TV channels.
The TV flickers from picture to picture until Holland finally settles on a random movie which had barely started. Satisfied with the find Holland puts the remote down next to his untouched beer before his fingers find their way into Hiddleston's inky black Loki wig. He twizzles a strand around his fingers as Hiddleston wraps his other arm around him. They settle into a peaceful silence for a while as they watch the movie, that is until Hiddleston begins interrogating Holland for some answers.
"What did Chris mean when he told you to shut it?" Hiddleston asks, as he peers up at Holland as he stays nestled back in his chest.
"Oh...er...you know just about the usual spoilers and stuff." Holland replies without taking his eyes off the TV screen.
"Right...." Tom trails off in disbelief, a questioning quirk of his brow, as he sits up in order to look Tom sternly in the eye. "You're not usually this quiet." His gaze unfaltering as Tom tries to appear innocent, evidently his facial expression was too transparent, Hiddleston knows him far too well and Holland knows it too.
As Hiddleston's gaze softens slightly he leans in close to Holland, so close that his lips are ghosting Holland's, their lips don't touch as he waits to see what he does first. Waiting to see if there's any cracks in his futile innocence. Albeit as the seconds tick by and Hiddleston doesn't seem to be backing away, Holland presses his lips into a thin line, as if to keep himself from slipping up. When Hiddleston finally does make a move he kisses the side of Holland's mouth, then he kisses along his jaw while his left hand cradles Holland's head, as it lulls to the side and exposes his neck completely to him. Now Hiddleston has access he slowly makes his way down his neck. The soft caress of Hiddleston's lips on Holland's neck causes him to let out a moan and his hands grip onto Hiddleston's forearms. His grip tightens as the kisses soon turn into bruising ones instead.
"You've never been able to keep that pretty little mouth of yours closed for long though." Tom says seductively, once he looks back into Tom's eyes, and he runs his thumb along Holland's bottom lip as he speaks.
"I can keep a secret!" Holland whinily complained with a pouty lip.
"Just like the time when you told Jacob Batalon and then the rest of our Marvel co-stars about us after we agreed to keep it between us for a while." Hiddleston said seriously.
"When are you going to let it go? I apologised several times and then some." Holland says and then bites his lip.
"Insufferable..." Hiddleston mockingly-scoffed.
"Yeah, but you love meeeee." Holland pecks Hiddleston on the lips.
"I suppose so..." Hiddleston agrees as another sly smile across his lips. "Do you want to make a bet?" He suggested.
"What kind of bet?" Holland asks cautiously.
"You let me do whatever I want to you until your writhing beneath me...unable to keep quiet...panting, moaning and crooning into my ear." Hiddleston says in his most seductive Loki voice and he nips Holland's earlobe for good measure. "You'll be so putty in my hands that you will tell me everything and you'll cum harder than you've ever cum before." He whispers into his ear.
"W-what happens if I don't?" Holland replies a little breathlessly after that imagery was put into his head.
"If you don't I won't let you cum." Hiddleston says, gently patting Holland's cheek with a knowing look.
"No, don't be like that. It's our anniversary. Anything but that, please?" Holland pleads with puppy dog eyes.
"Ehehe, I know that look, I'm the master of that look as well as others..." Hiddleston winks with two fingers hooked underneath Holland's chin. "Those are my terms, not that you have any say in the matter."
"But-" Hiddleston's lips crash against Holland's, silencing him this time, hungrily moving against his. Within moments Hiddleston's tongue prods eagerly against Holland's lips, asking permission for them to part, which they do so willingly and Hiddleston's tongue is met by Holland's, massaging against the other's and teeth slightly scraping together.
As Holland's eyes slowly open after their lips part to catch their breath, he sees Hiddleston sliding on his knees backwards, until he steps out of the booth and his eyes never leaving Holland's as he moves gracefully. However Holland isn't given long to get his breath back before he's dragged to the edge of the booth by his ankles, his hands are now in Hiddleston's reach, and then he's yanked up onto his feet. Tom instantly presses his body into Hiddleston's as their lips find each other again, with his arms wrapped around Hiddleston's waist, while Hiddleston's wrap around his neck. As the kiss deepens Hiddleston toys with the zipper at the back of Holland's SpiderMan costume, pulling it down slowly, his knuckles brushing against his flesh. Once the zipper reaches half way down Tom's back Tom pulls the latex away from his right shoulder, exposing his delectable soft skin to him, which is asking to be marked like his neck had done earlier. A gasp leaves Holland's lips at the sudden bite to his shoulder.
Hiddleston soon carries on, pulling Holland's costume down slowly and with the newly presented areas on his chest becoming bruisingly marked, licked and caressed affectionately. Each nipple taken into Hiddleston's hot mouth in turn as the other was rolled and pinched between his fingers. Thus far Holland hadn't said a word except for the sounds of approval. Evidently Hiddleston had to up his ammo. Firstly Hiddleston wiggles Holland's costume down past his hips, then he yanks it off the rest of the way, and reveals his cheeky black lacy thong underneath. Tom curled his fingers around the thin edges wrapped around his hips, once he stood back to his full height and then he roughly pulled Tom's hips to his own, both groaning at the sudden closeness.
"I like these ones." Hiddleston growls.
"I thought you'd prefer a more grown up look for the special occasion instead of my usual novelty ones you keep tearing off." Holland said and it was his turn to nip at Hiddleston, taking his bottom lip between his teeth, pulling gently on it for a few seconds.
"What makes you think these ones won't get torn?" Hiddleston asks as he rolls his hips against Holland.
"Because I'll run out before filming wraps." Holland replies, his cheeks heat up as Hiddleston lovingly strokes his face with one hand, the other still tangled around the edge of his thong.
"Humm...we can get you more." Hiddleston said, as he ripped Tom's thong off with one hand, letting the torn material fall by their feet, his fingers then tracing down the v-dip and brushing the light sprinkling of pubic hairs.
Tom's breath hitches in his throat as anticipation within his body tingles delightfully, albeit Hiddleston doesn't touch him where he needs him most, at least not yet anyway. Instead he stood there in all his bare glory for a couple of minutes only to have Hiddleston return to him with his famous Loki scarf. The scarf runs along his jaw, down the side of his neck and his chest, the fluffiness causing him to giggle as it dances across his ticklish skin. He easily allows his arms to be caged between his back and Hiddleston's chest once he was spun around. He felt the scarf being tied tightly around his wrists, as Hiddleston gently kissed his shoulder blades, the last of Mr Nice Guy for the time being.
Hiddleston seats himself back into the booth, spreading his thighs generously to accommodate Holland's naked form, which he draped over them roughly before his hand thwacked against his backside. The full spans of Hiddleston's hand struck in quick sessions, reddening the pale skin beneath his hand, Holland letting out cries of pleasure mixed with hisses as he felt the sting and heat begin to radiate from his tush. It had been a while since he'd been spanked and unashamedly he missed it. He felt his cock hardening between his thighs and he could feel Hiddleston's own growing bulge against his stomach too.
Heavy pants filled the air following on from the relentless spanking session mixed with the low murmurs of the TV still on in the background. Holland lay draped over Hiddleston's lap still waiting to be let up, as he felt Hiddleston knead his bum, and then he felt a cold lotion being poured onto his reddened flesh. It was gently rubbed into his skin to help soothe him.
"Ready to talk yet?" Came Hiddleston's gruffly voice.
"N-no..." Holland said around the lump in his throat.
Clearly it wasn't the correct answer, earning himself another harsh thwack, before he was forced to stand on shaky legs as Hiddleston dragged himself out of the booth. Next he was forced down onto the table. The untouched beer bottles and TV remote were pushed to the end to make space for his body, while his arms remained trapped beneath him, as his wrist remained tied together. His legs were hoisted up and forcefully parted with his feet planted firmly on the table. Hiddleston's lusty gaze roamed over the fine specimen before him and he bit his lip to suppress a groan. Eventually his fingers traveled lightly down the valley of Holland's chest, spreading the light sheen of sweat, and spares of hairs matted together. His fingers stilling at his navel as he meets his gaze. Next Hiddleston leans down, peppering kisses once more down chest, Holland's toned abdomen tightening, caused by Hiddleston tracing around his muscles. Before long Hiddleston was kneeling down with his head between his thighs, placing sloppy kisses to each of them, whilst his fingers stroked in small circles on Holland's hips.
"Anything you wish to tell me?" Hiddleston asks, his lips ghosting hotly against one thigh.
"I-I told you....n-no." Holland panted.
"No?" Hiddleston growled lowly.
Tom sat back on his heels as he spat into his palm before taking hold of Holland's engorged red flushed cock into his hand. Holland gasped and felt his cock twitch in his hand as he was being stroked at a leisurely pace. Hiddleston's salvia coated his cock as he spread it from head to base. He then pressed the pad of his thumb against the slit and massaged his balls with the other hand. Pearls of precum trickled out after a few swipes of his thumb. Leaning forward Hiddleston used the flat of his tongue and licked a wet stripe along the slit, making Holland hiss through gritted teeth, and his fingers twitched behind his back to ensure the blood still flowed.
Hiddleston nuzzled his nose against Tom's manhood, inhaling deeply, his own cock practically wanted to burst out of his tight leather trousers. He swallowed thickly before taking the head of his cock between his already reddened lips. He sucked gently at first, creating sounds as though he was enjoying a lollipop instead, until he returned to licking the tip. A few times this happened before his gaze through his lashes was met by the younger man's own gaze, his lips slightly parted, a dreamily glint in his eyes, as he held his head up to watch. Watching his cock disappear between beautiful thin lips, and the feeling of wanting to tangle his fingers into Tom's own hair instead of the wig, which now fell around his face in messy tendrils. Yet the upwards thrust of his hips begged Hiddleston to take more of his needy cock. Thankfully he obliged. Hiddleston took him all the way down his throat and hollowed his cheeks, until he pulled back, the head only seated between his lips. He repeated this action several times at his own pace until Holland began rutting upwards and further down his throat. Usually Holland would lay back and let Tom take his fill, but seeing as this was a bet he wanted to push him, to get Tom to make him cum without spilling the tea. He managed to slide off the table and began to impatiently force his length all the way to the back of Tom's throat. Hiddleston had to grab tightly onto the backs of his thighs as Tom used his mouth, tears springing up from his eyes, while he tried to relax his throat and keep breathing through the merciless fucking.
The quack in Holland's thighs was the telltale sign of his pending climax, but before he could fathom what was happening Hiddleston ripped himself away, his saliva and Tom's precum dribbling down his chin. Holland whined at the loss of his hot wet mouth around him. His plan had failed.
Hiddleston tsk'd as he rose onto his feet, wiping his chin and mouth with the back of his hand, before he forced Holland back down onto the table. Forcing him back into his previous position with his legs hoisted up and parted. Holland didn't dare try anything else and waited for his boyfriend to resume his agonising bet. That he did when he was pleased enough with the way his climax had subsided. He continued with his ministrations, his hand collecting the slick from his cock, before tracing and rubbing two fingers around Tom's hole. His sore ass scraping against the knotted wood beneath him. Also no matter how many times he was touched there by Tom he always shivered with delight at knowing the inevitability. A gasp escaped his parted lips as one finger entered him, it wiggled around inside a bit, until only the tip remained. Hiddleston repeated the action two more times before a second finger joined in. Wiggling both around and then gently spreading them, opening him up, enjoyment etched on his face from the slow torture.
"Tom p-please go faster." Holland pleaded through ragged breaths.
Tom removed his fingers momentarily, allowing Tom to sit up as he untied him, "don't try anything just because I untied you." He warned and gently laid him back again once his arms were freed.
Holland embraced the freedom of his hands, allowing Tom to massage them above his head with one hand, the other hand finding its way down his body. He moaned at the feeling of his fingers returning to his now sodden hole. Only this time he was a lot more rougher, his fingers fucking him wildly and Holland's hands flew up to hold steadfast onto Hiddleston's leather bound hips to keep him grounded. The feeling intensified as his cock was taken back into his hand, being pleasured in such a way that just as Hiddleston said he was crooning into his ear as he lent down to him.
"That's it baby, sing for me. Tell me all." Hiddleston whispered hoarsely.
Unfortunately just as Hiddleston also said Holland didn't get to cum. He lost the bet as he stayed true to his word. Although deep down Tom was proud, but he wouldn't let it show.
Heaving breaths filled the air as Tom sat up and saw Hiddleston stooped against the kitchenette counter, as he unzipped his leather trousers, freeing his flushed viney cock out of its tight confinements. He spits into his palm again and takes hold of his needy cock. Bravely Tom slid off the table and wobbled towards the older man who's fist was tightly assaulting his length. Upon approaching closer he could see Hiddleston's pupils are completely blown out, just like he suspected his own to be like, the same could be said for their lips to be red and swollen.
Holland tries to reach for him with pleading eyes, but his hand is instantly slapped away, followed by a grunt falling from Hiddleston's lips causing his own cock to twitch wantonly in his hand. His lustful gaze roaming over Holland's flushed aroused body, soaking in every ounce of him, his thrusts into his hand becoming erratic as his eyes stopped at Tom's proudly erected cock.
"F-fuckkk!" Tom groaned with his eyes tightly closing in perfect timing of his release. He comes in thick ropes, spurting out onto his hand, some dripping through his fingers and landing on his leather boots.
Holland finally closes the distance between them and kisses Tom's temple. "You're beautiful." He whispers.
------------------------------
Later Holland manages to convince Tom to go out instead of being cooped up in the trailer for the rest of the night, like they'd previously planned on doing, at least that's what Tom thought their plans were. Plans of eating a takeaway and staying in for the night just the two of them. Although Holland's foolproof excuse was that he needed it after the torturous bet between them, it seemed to work too.
Their car pulls up at a quiet out of the way grand stoned venue. Hiddleston looked out the window as his eyebrows knitted together, his mouth opening to ask where they were, but the words could barely form as his attention was drawn away from the window. The sounds of Holland opening the door on his side and hoping out onto the gravelled drive had confused him more. He thought they were going to some restaurant in town, evidently the newer and better TH he often referred to Holland as had other ideas. Wordlessly Hiddleston decided to join Holland, stepping out onto the gravelled driveway, holding his hand when he rounded the car and letting the younger man guide him inside.
The venue's foyer was elegant, empty of people, and warmly lit by the posh glass chandelier above their heads. Not that Tom gave Hiddleston much time to enjoy the architecture or finer details of the entrance, he was beaming that much was clear, guiding Tom further inside. Ahead of them down the other end of the corridor was a large wooden door and as if on cue they swung open once they were right outside of them.
"SURPRISE!" Came a chorus of familiar voices of the cast and crew who had grouped together in the centre awaiting their arrival.
Hiddleston was completely stunned. They'd made a lot of effort in elaborately decorating the venue. A banner hung across two pillars, it read 'happy anniversary!' in a bold black font, with a golden swirly pattern in the banner's corners which complimented the back writing. Balloons of black and gold were scattered about the dance floor as well as helium ones decorating the decked out tables. After everybody had spurts out Hiddleston became mobile again. Both Toms got to drink, dance and laugh as well as tuck into the delicious buffet that was spread out at the back.
Near the end of the night when a slow song came on both Toms got onto the dance floor with the rest of the couples. They swayed gently in each other's arms to the music.
"Soooo...do I get to cum later?" Tom asks loud enough for only Tom to hear him with a wiggle of eyebrows.
"I'm not promising anything." Tom says as if thinking about the request, adding to Holland's accomplishment of keeping all of this a secret, except for the twinkle in his eyes was giving him away.

Quick little ramble about Sylvie’s season 2 appearance
.
.
.
.
I find it interesting how Sylvie’s outfits in season 2 reflected her character. Keep in mind, this is my personal interpretation of her costuming and will therefore include personal thoughts on her character in season 2 overall.
In the post credits scene of episode 1, we see Sylvie all ragged and brushing off her injuries after the whole HWR situation, complete with messy hair and an eyebrow injury. Despite her appearance standing out quite well in an 1980’s McDonald’s, Sylvie is ready to try everything; new food, new opportunities, a new life.
Episode 2, we see her in the standard 80’s McD’s uniform, looking happier than ever (complete with an amazing new hairstyle). But it’s not until she has her jacket on and after she finds out what Dox is doing does she shed the “skin” of her new life, akin to a snake. Underneath the uniform, she’s still wearing her outfit from season 1, just polished up. It serves as a reminder to Sylvie that at the end of the day, even if she changes her name, she’s still a Loki variant. She’s inevitably gonna have people come after her due to what she has done. In a way, her jacket is like the cloak she lost on Lamentis-1.
Episode 5 is when she changes appearance again when we see her get sent back to her timeline. Her top from season 1 is gone, replaced with a grey shirt. She’s no longer attached to the “Loki variant” name the TVA branded her with. She’s now Sylvie who works at McD’s, and is a regular at a bar and relatively quiet record shop. (This grey shirt can also be used to represent her as a “gray character”; yes, she killed HWR and doomed everyone, but she did it for a cause, a mission she intended to complete from the start to ensure variants like her wouldn’t lose their lives and homes as well.)
And this is carried on to her in the final scene of the show; she’s not wearing the season 1 top when talking with Mobius, she’s keeping the gray shirt. She’s finally free from her life as a Loki variant, and is now her own person free to wander the multiverse.
But hey. That’s just a theory. A fashion theory.

I know I've definitely thought of this before. But it's really like looking at a well-done figurine of something and then looking at a hideous bootleg of that thing.
I could gush all day long about how great Michelle Pfeiffer is as Catwoman. I will just watch this scene and the scene where she first breaks down and sews the Catwoman costume. I love how Pfeiffer can go from quiet and quirky to being deadly and sexy and it seems completely in character. I love the symbolism in Catwoman's costume falling apart the more Selina falls apart. That is a character that is unhinged and tragic.
What works about the character and the romance is that fact the film does take time to show Selina and Bruce talking, getting along and going on dates. This version of Bruce Wayne is this kind of eccentric but closed off person and you do see him falling for this other off beat person and understand they really are birds of a feather. The whole thing is throughout the whole courtship it's clear Selina really does wish she could have this. She looks in the mirror and ask herself what are you doing Selina. Why can't she stop and just be happy with Bruce. Again, at the party when she just completely breaks down in front of Bruce and they figure out each other identities. Does this mean we have to start fighting? She doesn't want to hurt Bruce but it has been set up multiple times now that she is on this path and she can't stop herself. That's what makes that climax so effective because we see Selina as a normal person and the hints of the happiness that she could have.
The finale of Loki really doesn't work because not only because the romance is bad but because Sylvie is such an empty character. She is nothing but revenge she has no idea what do with her life after words. No plans, no desires and no wants. Also, Sylvie doesn't understand Loki at all. Not only in the climax does she accuse him of wanting a throne but in the suppose romantic cuddling under the blanket scene. Oh, maybe there's universe you can rule and Loki basically rolls his eyes at the suggestion. He has long sense stopped caring about that. By the end Sylvie rejects empathy and the idea the idea Loki is trying to the right thing. Sylvie, like everyone else, places Loki in the role of the villain.
Selina isn't rejecting Bruce because she thinks her revenge is more important. She rejects him because she feels she's too broken to have a happy ending with him. Her reason parallel Loki's in 2011 and The Avengers. The "I've gone too far to stop."
Look at Selina at the end, her hair is a mess, her clothes are in shreds and her makeup is running while she is screaming and laughing mad. Sylvie still has her perfect curls, she doesn't have a spec of dirt in her and she has the exact same pouty expression she had the entire series. The actress can't even manage a tear.
So anyway, like everything LOKI2021 copies and steals from it complete misses the point and does a terrible job of recreating it
youtube
I realized something today and forgive me if someone already has.
Episode 6 of the first season of Loki is directly ripped off this scene from Batman Returns.
Think about it. Blonde woman crazed with grief and anger, wanting nothing more than her revenge, while a brunette man tries to talk her down. She ultimately ignores his pleas and kills the big bad anyway.
There are differences of course. Selena isn’t risking trillions of lives across the multiverse by ignoring Bruce and killing Max. She also doesn’t try to kill Bruce for the crime of questioning her.
God, even Michelle’s hair is the same as Mary Sue Loki’s.
Just something that occurred to me.

PAIRING: long hair college!Harry X Mitch’s little sister!Reader
WORD COUNT: 4.6k
SERIES MASTERLIST
“I’m not entirely sure I can pull this outfit off,” you call out from Ruth’s bathroom as you’re putting on your costume. It’s October 31st, Halloween, aka the perfect occasion for college students to get drunk dressed in silly or sexy costumes. Delta Psi is throwing a crazy horror night party just like every year, Mitch has told you a lot about these parties and this year you’re finally attending it.
Sarah is picking the three of you up, driving you to the house so you decided to get ready together at Ruth’s tiny apartment, but it’s still better than in the dorm where you have to share the bathroom with at least fifteen other people. Bonnie helped you put your costume together, you’re going as Cruella De Vil, or like a sexy version of her. Your hair has been temporarily died to half black and half white and now you’re in the bathroom, changing into your costume for the first time. You haven’t really had the chance to put it on all together, so this is the big reveal.
“Just come out already! We want to see you!” Bonnie shouts back to you just when you finish changing.
“Okay, ready?” you sigh in excitement.
“Yes! Woo!” they cheer together and throwing the door open you walk out, your two friends gasping at the sight of you.
You really did take it to the sexy direction with the costume. The black top is basically a corset, pushing up your boobs just right. You paired it with a leather mini skirt and a pair of thigh-high red boots and a red faux fur coat Ruth lent you. You didn’t dare to question why she owns clothes like these, just accepted that you didn’t have to spend money on them. You actually feel hot in your outfit, definitely gonna earn some curious stares at the party.
“That’s what I’m talking about! You look amazing!” Bonnie nods at you grinning and you just strike a pose blushing slightly.
They change into their costumes as well, Bonnie dresses as Sabrina only that her dress is a lot shorter than the original character’s, and Ruth is coming as Pitbull. Yeah, she definitely took it to the funnier side with her bald cap and oversized black suit, but you think it’s hilarious.
You finish getting ready just in time, Sarah texts you that she is downstairs so you all head down.
“Wow! What a trio!” she cheers when you get into the car. She is rocking her Wanda costume, this year her and Mitch are going for the Marvel vibe, your brother will be dressed as Loki since he didn’t want to paint his whole head to be Vision.
“Thanks, you look great too!” you smile at her.
“You look extra spicy, Y/N. Gonna have guys all over you,” she chuckles, starting the car. You don’t comment on that, just bite into your bottom lip buckling yourself up.
The closer you’re getting to the frat house, the more anxious you’re growing. You’re not entirely sure how tonight will turn out and you’re afraid something might go wrong, but you’re trying not to jinx it.
The house is already packed by the time you arrive. Everywhere you look you see movie characters, iconic people from history or just lazy costumes like the guy who has a shirt on with the word ‘costume’ written on it. Bonnie takes your hand as the three of you walk further into the house, Sarah already disappearing in the crowd. You head to the kitchen to grab a drink, saying hi to the few people you know on the way.
This past month you’ve finally made a few more friends, thanks to becoming good friends with Bonnie and Ruth. They’ve been dragging you along with them to different social events and you also built up the courage to befriend a few people from your classes to at least have someone to ask for notes for when you miss class. You don’t feel like an outsider anymore and actually have friends you can make plans with.
As expected, you’ve noticed quite a few boys mistaking your boobs to your face. Your costume is definitely approved by the other students and you feel confident in it, enjoying the attention you’re getting.
“Jesus, you’re basically naked, Y/N,” Mitch snaps at you when he shows up, joining your little circle. His hair is styled completely like Loki’s and he bought a cheap Loki costume off of Amazon probably, looking like the Wish version of the god of mischief. Luckily, he wasn’t loud enough with his comment for others to hear him, only you.
“Would you chill? I’m definitely wearing more clothes than those girls,” you tell him, nodding towards three girls dressed as sexy nurses, but they are basically in red lingerie with white coats over it, but completely unbuttoned, of course. Mitch grimaces seeing them before turning back to you.
“Just… don’t take the coat off,” he mumbles under his breath, but you just chuckle shaking your head as you take a sip from your drink. “I gotta go, have to check up on Harry if he is still whining about his costume.”
He pats your shoulder before walking off, not even noticing how you just froze over the mentioning of Harry. You look around, searching for his face you know all too well, but see no trace of him, though you expect to run into him at some point tonight, since it’s their house and Harry is popular among these people, the boys won’t let him sit in his room like that night you met him for the first time at the beginning of the semester. So much has happened since then…
“Holy shit, Y/N!” Dominick gasps upon seeing you, his eyes shamelessly wandering up and down your body when he sees you. He’s never failed to flirt with you whenever you ran into each other since you’ve been introduced to him that night you took Bonnie and Ruth with you to a frat party with you. It’s flattering, how he always tries to chat you up, but it’s always the same. He flirts with you, you smile and nod and he gives up for the time being, picking up some sorority girl, trying again next time he sees you.
Seems like tonight is no different.
“And what are you supposed to be?” you ask him, trying to figure out his costume with not much luck. He is wearing a simple white shirt with black pants and a pair of fake glasses.
“Oh, I’m Superman,” he grins, opening the shirt on his chest, revealing a Superman shirt underneath.
“Mhm, creative,” you huff and with that you’re already over talking to him.
Unfortunately he thinks otherwise. Seems like Dominick chose tonight to get on your nerves more than he usually does. He keeps circling around you, always somewhere near you, his attempts to chat you up failing terribly, especially since you have to keep reminding him not to stare at your boobs when he is talking to you.
“You can’t expect me not to look at them,” he just chuckles, as if it was such a good joke, but you’re starting to lose patience.
“At least try, Dominick,” you grimaced at him, but he didn’t take the hint that you want nothing to do with him anymore. As you make your way upstairs to find a bathroom, he comes right after you.
“So when are you going out with me, huh?” he smirks at you confidently, but his charm doesn’t work on you.
“How about never?” you scoff.
“Come on, you wouldn’t regret it!” He grabs your hand and stops you from walking away, making you turn to face him, but you’re not a fan of getting his hands on you. Yanking yourself out of his hold you shoot him a hard glare.
“Knock it off, will you?”
“Don’t be like this, I just—“
“You heard her, Dominick. Go and find one of your booty calls and leave her alone.”
Hearing the all too familiar voice you freeze, but don’t look behind, already knowing who’s standing there. You can feel the heat of his body, so he must be very close to you as he stares at Dominick. He doesn’t look flirty and playful anymore. His jaw clenches as he lets out a huff, but doesn’t reply, just turns around and walks away.
Slowly, you turn to face Harry and you can’t help a little smile when you see that he is dressed as Waldo in a red and white striped shirt and red beanie. His reaction to your costume on the other hand is not as delightful as yours. You catch his eyes wander down the length of your body, the heat rising inside you the longer he is just standing there, staring at you.
Then he lifts his head, looks around as if he is checking if anyone is paying attention to the two of you and when he sees that the air is clear, he grabs your hand and simply pulls you into his room, shutting the door closed, hiding you from all the curious stares out there. You’re breathing heavily as you stand in the middle of his room while he is still at the door, not a single word has been spoken between the two of you. His gaze runs down your body again, the corset and miniskirt clearly catching his attention. His eyes return to yours and your breath gets caught in your throat. The next thing you know is that he leaps through the room and kisses you so hard, the air gets knocked out of your lungs as your body smashes against his.
You kiss him back with just as much vigor, pulling his beanie off, throwing it to the side so you can lace your fingers through his hair, tugging it just as much as he likes while his arms wrap around you so tight you’re having trouble breathing, but you’re praying he won’t let go of you.
“You really had the nerve to come here in this outfit, huh?” he mumbles against your mouth, tugging the red fur coat off of you, exposing your risqué outfit you’re wearing underneath.
“You have any complaints about it?” you challenge, a moan slipping through your lips when he kisses down your throat, heading to the swell of your breasts.
“Just one,” he mumbles against your heated skin. “I don’t like it when other guys are ogling my girlfriend.”
Yup, girlfriend. That’s right. You still can’t push your smirk down hearing it from him even though you’ve been holding the title for about a month now.
The turning point was that night when you called him out for ruining your date sneakily. He admitted to having feelings for you, you kissed him and then he made you ride his thigh in an alley way until you came. Then he took a total one hundred eighty, wanted to pretend like it didn’t happen right until you told him, no, begged him not to push you away. You really thought he wouldn’t listen but then... some kind of miracle happened.
He gave it a chance. Gave you a chance and you’ve been on cloud nine since then. Well, kind of. Because being with Harry came with a few challenges, the biggest one is that you basically can’t be seen together.
After the heat of the moment in the car and once you stopped making out like the world was about to end, you realized there was a lot to discuss and you both agreed that it’s better to keep it a secret for a while. At least until you figure out how to tell Mitch without giving him a heart-attack.
“So you don’t approve of my costume?” you question him, arching an eyebrow playfully as he kisses up your throat to meet your lips again.
“I do. You look gorgeous. I just wish I could show everyone that you’re mine,” he hums against your lips, kissing you a little slower this time, his fingers dancing along your sides. Cupping his face in your hands you pout at him, knowing the feeling well. Harry is not the only jealous one in this relationship, even though you trust him fully, it still does not mean that girls won’t try to get into his pants shamelessly. You’ve seen quite a few girls flirting with him when you were around and you couldn’t walk up to him and kiss him, showing everyone that he belongs to you.
His kiss grows hungrier and you fist his shirt at his chest, pulling him close to you, wanting nothing else than to take it a few steps further, but you both know this is not the time and place for that. In fact, it never is. Being in a secret relationship is definitely harder than you thought, especially since Harry lives with your brother and a bunch of other guys and you share a room with Bonnie. There’s basically no privacy for you, so you’ve been forced to put your desires aside, though it’s getting hard… along with something else in Harry’s pants every time you get handsy.
Slowly but surely he stops himself, not letting this get out of hands and way too hard to contain yourselves. You whine a little when he pulls back, but you know it’s for the best. You will not be the couple who gets caught having sex in the middle of a party.
“Please say the corset is yours and you’ll put it on for me when we can be alone finally?”
Chuckling you brush his hair out of his forehead before pecking his lips softly, his hands slipping down to your butt, giving it a playful squeeze. Harry loves physical touch, that you’ve learned already, so it’s kind of a torture for him that he can’t get his hands on you whenever he wants. But when you have a few minutes for yourselves, he makes sure to make up for all the time he had to miss out on.
“It’s mine,” you grin at him, biting into your bottom lip. “I hope I won’t forget to have it with me. God knows when our time will finally come,” you sigh with a pout.
“Actually, there was something I wanted to ask you about.” God, that boyish smirk! You just want to kiss him stupid all the time.
“Alright, what is it?”
“What are you doing next weekend?”
“Other than studying? Probably not much,” you chuckle. “Why?”
“I was thinking that we could go on a little trip. Just the two of us. My uncle has a cabin not far up in the woods, it’s pretty secluded, no chance we would run into anyone we know. We could go on a hike, make a campfire, anything you want.”
The idea to spend a weekend away from everything and everyone sounds like heaven. You’re kind of done with the hiding, the secret rendezvous, having to drive across town if you wanted to have a dinner date without worrying that you’ll get caught.
“That’s… I would love that,” you breathe out, pulling him down to kiss you sweetly.
“Okay, then it’s settled?” he grins against your lips.
“Yeah. I just have to make up a lie where I’m spending the weekend,” you chuckle.
“We’ll figure it out,” he hums and you know he is right. Nothing is too hard or impossible if you’re with Harry.
Stealing a few more minutes alone with him, you force yourself to go out again, though Harry is having a hard time to let go of you, he keeps pulling you back, kissing you whenever you’re about to leave.
“Harry, we’ve been in here for way too long,” you chuckle, though don’t really try to push him away as he kisses down your neck.
“Not my fault that you look this good,” he hums.
“Alright, done, we need to go out,” you chuckle, finally stepping out of his embrace. He pouts at you like a baby, but you’re not letting him guilt you into staying any longer. “Let’s socialize a bit more. I’ll text you when we are about to leave, we can meet for a bit then, okay?”
“Okay,” he breathes out, pecking your lips one last time, patting your bum as he pushes you towards the door. Shooting him one last wink you walk out of the room, making sure no one sees you.
For the rest of the party you stick to staying with your friends. You drink, dance, mingle in the crowd, having a blast. You even find two girls dressed as Dalmatians so you take a cool photo for your Instagram with them, it’s truly iconic. Once Mitch gets over your revealing outfit he stops bitching about it and plays a round of beerpong with you against Sarah and one of her friends. Of course, the Rowlands always win, everyone around the table cheers when you make the ball drop into the last cup, winning the game.
You see Harry around several times, locking eyes in the crowd, stealing tiny touches when you pass by each other and he keeps texting you throughout the night, telling you how good you look, how much he wants to show you off and that he can’t wait for next weekend to have you all to himself. He knows how to rile you up, sending a few spicier texts as well that makes you want to drag him up to his room and just take him right then and there. But you keep your distance, telling yourself you’ll have all the time in the world in just a week, away from everyone else.
It’s way past midnight when Harry steps out to the backyard, looking for a secluded spot to have a breather. These parties are growing more and more tiring, especially when he can’t spend them with the person he wants to. He knows he would enjoy the evening more if he could just stay with you, be like a real couple, hold your hand or kiss you whenever he wants to. But he knows he has to be patient so he is left to enjoy the tiny stolen moments.
“Hello, stranger.”
He can’t stop himself from rolling his eyes at the familiar voice. Turning to his left he sees Georgie walking towards him with a seductive smile, one that would have worked on him maybe a year ago, but all he feels from seeing it is disgust and frustration.
“What are you doing here alone?” she asks, stopping way too close to Harry’s liking, so he takes a step backwards. Georgie doesn’t miss it, but chooses to ignore it.
“Just getting some fresh air,” he answers rigidly.
“I wanted to have a few words with you, but couldn’t find you all night.”
“You found me now.” He forces a smile to his face, but it’s evidently not real.
“Sorry about last time, H. I shouldn’t have just went into your room, it’s your private place.”
Harry can’t mask his surprise over the apology, he was definitely not expecting one from her, especially after how upset she was when he last saw her.
“It’s…it’s fine,” he breathes out with a tiny nod. There’s a heartbeat of silence and then the downfall starts.
“H, I miss you.” “Stop it,” Harry answers right away.
“Do you not miss me?” she whines, stepping closer again, but Harry backs away again.
“I think I made it clear last time, Georgie, that I don’t want anything from you anymore.”
“Things were said in the heat of the moment. I thought that we could talk it over again and—“
“There’s nothing to talk over. Don’t make it harder for yourself.”
Clearly, it’s not what she was expecting. Harry’s reaction to her attempt to make up is far from the version she imagined would happen and it doesn’t sit right with her.
“What the fuck happened to you, Harry?” she snaps, quickly dropping the sweet act. “What game are you playing, huh?”
“It’s not a game, how do you not understand it?” Now Harry is losing his patience with her. He doesn’t understand why she wouldn’t just move on, find another guy she can throw herself on. He made it clear that he doesn’t want to continue whatever they had going on, why can’t she just accept it?
“Come on, everything is just a game to you. This is who you are, this is The Harry Styles,” she cackles, hands on her hips.
“Or maybe you have no idea who I am. Stop assuming because we fucked a few times, that you know me. Because quite frankly, you don’t.”
“Okay, I don’t know you, whatever. But why can’t we just fuck? I don’t have to know your favorite color to suck your dick, do I?” she scoffs.
“Georgie, I’m seeing someone, okay? Stop being so desperate and save the drama for someone else.”
“What?” she blinks at him surprised.
“I’m dating someone, I have a girlfriend, but even if I didn’t, I wouldn’t want to sleep with you, because I’m done with you.”
He didn’t want to drag it this long. Never really understood how someone can’t just accept when the other wants it to be over, the begging and arguing can’t change anything.
“A girlfriend?” she questions, eyebrows shooting up. “And who is this girlfriend of yours?”
“None of your business. So leave me the fuck alone, I’m not having this conversation again, understood?”
Georgie doesn’t answer, just nods clenching her jaw. Harry pays her one last glance before walking away, back to the crowd. He would rather suffocate in there than keep talking to her a second longer.
Another hour passes when you’re starting to get tired and luckily Bonnie feels the same way. Neither of you wants to wait until the party dies down. Finishing your last drink you agree to call an Uber soon and head back to the dormitory.
You text Harry to meet you in his room and you tell Bonnie that you left your lipstick in Mitch’s room so you’re gonna run upstairs to get it before leaving and she doesn’t even question you. Harry is already in his room when you walk in, quickly closing the door behind you, wrapping yourself around him as your goodbye.
“Want to go for a late night drive tomorrow?” he murmurs against your lips and you hum as an answer. “And I can’t wait for the weekend. Pack warm clothes and I hope you have a pair of good boots. There’s a great path leading from the cabin up to the top of the hill, I think you’ll like it.”
Your heart skips a beat even just thinking about being with Harry unbothered for an entire weekend. And the fact that he is clearly not planning this to get into your pants, wanting to do actual activities with you is just a pleasant bonus. He keeps proving that you’ve made the right choice when you let yourself fall for him.
“Sounds perfect,” you smile at him, stealing one last kiss before peeling yourself out of his arms. You open the door, but before you could step out he pulls you back, pressing his lips to yours once more, making you giggle. “Stop, someone will see us!” you push him back into the room as you walk out.
“Text me when you get home,” he calls after you.
“I will!” you wave around and head downstairs to find Bonnie and leave.
Harry shuts his door closed, done with the party now that the only person he was interested in has left, but what he didn’t notice is that there was in fact a witness to that goodbye kiss he pulled you back for.
Georgie.
She was leaving the bathroom at the end of the hall when she heard Harry’s door open so she quickly stepped back, peeking out from behind the door and she didn’t miss the short scene that wasn’t meant to be seen by anyone, especially her. Neither of you realized that you were caught.
If she is being honest she thought Harry just made up the whole girlfriend story. Georgie was convinced he is not the type to date, at least that’s what she told herself when she realized he only wants to hook up with her. It was more than nothing, so she made up this version of Harry in her mind and it didn’t sit well with what he told her earlier tonight. She didn’t believe it could be the truth, only something he made up on the spot to get rid of her, but when she sees you lock lips with him, there’s no doubt that Harry in fact has a girlfriend.
And that girlfriend happens to be you.
Jealousy shadows over her thoughts, she sees green as she locks herself up in the bathroom, her chest heaving, her mind racing. Harry chose you over her? A freshman? Who is not even popular? People only know about your existence because you’re Mitch’s sister, that doesn’t mean you belong to the same crowds as him, yet Harry still chose you.
But why hasn’t she heard of it before? Word would travel fast across campus if Harry was caught with a girl who is clearly more than just a hookup, so that means you’ve been hiding your relationship.
“Of course,” Georgie chuckles shaking her head when the picture becomes clear. You’re dating in secret because Mitch wouldn’t approve of it.
Feeling like she has the best weapon in her hands, she barges out of the bathroom and looks for the person she knows will be her partner in ruining whatever is going on between you and Harry, someone who would definitely benefit if you broke up.
She finds Dominick in the living room, trying hard to chat up some girl who looks interested, but kind of hesitant, so Georgie doesn’t feel bad for ruining the moment.
“Hey, we need to talk,” she snaps her fingers in front of him to grab his attention. Not too willingly, but he stands from his seat and follows her outside.
“If I end up alone in bed tonight I’m gonna blame it on you,” the boy growls, but Georgie couldn’t care less.
“You still want to hook up with Y/N Rowland, don’t you?” she clicks her tongue, folding her arms on her chest.
“Of course, but she keeps brushing me off,” he growls, leaning against the wall.
“It’s because she is secretly dating Harry.”
“Wait, Harry? You mean Styles?” His eyes widen as he stares back at the girl in front of him.
“Yes! But they are hiding it because Mitch doesn’t know about it.”
Dominick thinks about the new information he just learned, finally adding two and two together.
“Look, I want them broken up and I have a plan. Do you want to help me?”
“G, that’s mean. I’m not one to ruin relationships,” he sighs, scratching the back of his neck.
“Come on, you think it’s that serious? Harry doesn’t do serious. We would just save them time and then, when they break up you can just sweep in and be the shoulder Y/N cries on after having her little heart broken!”
He is hesitant, it sounds mean and risky, but then he thinks about how you looked tonight. He’s been trying to get into your pants all semester and this sounds like his best option to do that. But is he that desperate to succeed?
“So? Are you in?” she urges him for an answer. Chewing on his bottom lip he exhales sharply.
“Yeah. What’s the plan?”

Classics
Tom Hiddleston x reader request
Request: can you please write an imagine about tom where he meets his soulmate on set (she’s an assistant) and he’s amazed she also studied classics xxx
Summary: You’re an assistant on set but also in your last year of classics. Tom helps you study and maybe, finally, take you on a date for of course study purposes
Warning: age-gap but of course appropriate, fluff and big dark academia vibes!!!!!
Words: 3,2K
A/N: Okay OMG I love this! this fic is my new favorite! I love how this turned out! Thank you so much for the request dear anon!
Your family was in the movie business and you just got a job as an assistant to earn some money to pay for your college. It was mostly running on set and doing what they asked you while studying from your books. You were currently in your last year of college studying Classics, which at the moment wasn’t making your life easier even though you loved what you did. You learned to multitask very fast! It was the movie infinity war where you were an assistant. You already had a great bond with most of the cast because you did a lot of things for them. You mostly assisted them. Most saw you as a little sister, which you were fine with except with Tom. You had a huge crush on the actor and really hoped he didn’t see you as a little sister even though you thought that was false hope. Of course he wouldn’t date you. You were at least 17 years younger so you could put that out of your head. You just tried to enjoy the time that you had.
You were in the period where you had a lot of exams and your head was just running over with everything. It was lunch break and you wondered off so you could study. Your hands were on either side of your head as you let out a loud huff. “Hey, there you are.” You heard the familiar voice of Tom. You looked up and you felt your cheeks fluster as Tom softly smiled at you fully dressed in his Loki costume. “Hey” you said softly. He frowned at you. “Are you okay?” you let out another sigh. “No, I’m stressed and I can’t get it in my head.” He took a seat next to you and looked at your books.
You felt indulged in the cologne that surrounded him and now you too. He started to read the pages and explain it to you. You focused on what he said and listened carefully. He started to quiz you and you got the answered the questions right. He smiled sweetly at you while you had the biggest grin on your face. “thank you so much Tom!” you happily said while placing your arms around his neck and got in a hug. It took Tom by surprise but he placed his arms around you too, softly giggling. “my pleasure sweetheart. Any time”. You felt your cheeks burn up again and pulled out of a hug. “erhm could you maybe help me study for my exams? Only if you have time though!” you quickly said the last sentence knowing what a busy man Tom is.
He giggled, “I would love nothing more dear.” Your smile got brighter by the second. “Let’s place the books down for a while alright?” he stood up and he stretched out his hand for you to take, which you took happily. “I’ve got an idea. Why don’t we go to the big library today and find some more books and I’ll explain it to you!?” Tom asked you very excitingly, happy that he found someone that shares the exact same passion as him. “I would love that!” You gave him a big smile.
After shooting you both walked to the library talking about your studies and the things that he knew. You walked in the library which was before hand a cathedral. You loved this place and so did Tom. You walked towards the back and you searched out some books with care. You didn’t notice the glances Tom gave you. He looked with so much adoration at you and smiled when you found a book which you would then place in his hands. He had about 5 books holding it tightly. He saw that you picked some of his favorites which made his own heart melt. He never expected to fall for someone quit that young but yet there you are. In your own glory. The age didn’t really to seem to bother him as he found you an old soul. You both took a seat against each other and dove into the books together. He had your study books in front of him and you had the books that you chose laying out for you. You both lost time that night while being in your own little world with Tom. Like you were the only people on this earth. You kept stealing glances at each other and when you both did you would look away as quickly. You saw Tom blushing when you caught him looking. Sometimes you would be lost in your own world while studying his features instead of the books in front of you. He would look up and smile at you which made you fluster and took a glance at your books. It was around midnight when you both were kindly asked to leave.
He would always bring you home. Hands deeply in his pockets while listening to your new findings in the old books that you loved so much. Tom found a new hobby and that was to hear you talk with so much knowledge about the same passion he had. You often told him things he even didn’t know. This lasted for a week and you both grew closer to each other by every evening. With every more stolen glances between the two of you.
You looked around set for Tom to ask him if he wanted to join you to the library this evening again. You saw him getting some coffee. “Hey Tom!” you greeted him excitedly. “Hello darling” he chuckled at your excitement. “Do you want to join me to the library this evening?” you asked him hopeful. Tom was shuffling on his feet if you didn’t know better you would think he was nervous. “I might know something different that would help you with the exams.” He saw that he caught your attention a little bit more. “If you’d let me take you to dinner I can show you a museum after, where I can tell you more about the things you need to learn right now.” he looked hopefully at you and you looked gob smacked. Was he asking you on a date right now? You shook that thought quickly out of your head but you definitely weren’t going to refuse either. “I’d love to Tom” you told him with a kind smile, which he returned with love.” “I’ll pick you up by 7?” you nodded. He gave you a quick kiss on your cheek and went his way, while you stood there trying to comprehend what just happened.
You quickly went to Scarlett as she knew about your “little” crush on Tom. She smiled at you as you told her everything. “Well then we’re going to have to take you shopping after for something cute.” She told you. “What are we shopping for?” Lizzie asked coming into view. You felt your cheeks fluster. “Oh just for her date with Tom” Scarlett told Lizzie casually. Lizzie looked at you with a grin while you just looked at your shoes. “We’ll alright what are we waiting for then?” Lizzie said. You looked at the time. “I can’t I still have to work for another hour.” You told them. “Well alright, we’ll wait for you and just come by Scarlett’s trailer once your done okay?” you nodded at Lizzie. “See you guys in a bit!” you gave them a hug and walked off.
~time skip~
You got home after your little shopping trip with the girls through London. It started to become gloomy since autumn got here. You loved the weather and the feeling that came with it. It had dark academia vibes which you just lived for. That’s also what studying for classics pulled you in. You could definitely say that you are an old soul.
You got dressed and put a little bit of make-up on but not too much. You looked in the mirror and even though you were self-conscious, you were happy right now. The doorbell rang and you felt your heartrate pick up as well. Quickly you made your way to the door and took a breath before opening it. You saw Tom standing there with your favorite flowers and something wrapped in old paper. You felt flustered. He was wearing a blue suit and stood underneath an umbrella. You looked at the flowers in shock. Maybe this was an actual date you thought getting hope. “you look absolutely gorgeous Y/N” he told you with a soft smile that made your heart melt. “ As do you Tom!” you told him coyly.
“Please come in.” You said quickly stepping aside for him to come in. “I got you something” he gave you the present to you and you opened it carefully. It was an old antique book, you could tell. It was your favorite book but the first edition which you could never get your hands on. You looked at him in surprise. He smiled coyly at you. You gave him a big hug “Thank you Tom, I love it” he chuckled “You’re welcome my darling. “I eh hope you like the flowers as well.” He told you, giving them to you while delicately placing his lips to your cheek. They started to burn up again and you quickly dove into the kitchen to get a vase. “I love them, thank you Tom. It’s very kind” You told him smiling.
He looked around in your cozy place. “I love the paintings on the wall. Who is the artist?” he asked you while studying them closely. “Ehm well that should be me” you told him a little shy. He quickly looked at you and stayed silent for a moment. “You made this?” you nodded. “Oh my, you’re extremely talented!” he told you and you felt flustered again, smiling as you looked at your shoes. “How long does it take you to paint these? There so detailed” he asked you while looking with admiration at the paintings. “It depends but it can take me weeks.” You told him. What Tom obviously didn’t knew was that you were painting one for him. “They’re amazing. Really” He looked at you deeply hoping that you knew that he meant that.
You smiled again feeling flustered. He saw that you felt like that so he changed the subject. “Are you ready love?” he asked you softly and you nodded. You walked out the door and Tom got down the steps of your front door opening up his umbrella. He held out his hand for you to take the steps down which you gladly took. You felt the butterflies going crazy at the small but loving gesture of Tom. Instead of letting go of your hand he placed it on his arm as you walked closely to each other for the shared umbrella. It was cloudy, misty and a little rainy outside but you loved the ambience as it gave you a sincere calm feeling.
He let you in a nice cozy restaurant where the waiter walked you to the back where you would be seated. It was a nice cozy booth. “It’s really nice here Tom, thank you for taking me here.” You told him with a sweet smile which he returned. “Believe me it’s all my pleasure darling.” You felt flustered and looked down. He took your hand in his to get your attention back even though he knew it still was on him. You looked in surprise at him and he smiled at you “I should thank you for joining me” he told you while looking deeply into your eyes. You felt flustered and at lost for words. He slowly let go of your hand not overstepping your boundaries, but your hand felt cold without his in it. You smiled at him and he ordered two red wines for you both.
The dinner was really nice even though you felt extremely shy in the beginning, you were starting to loosen up thanks to Tom. You both talked a lot but about different topics which was a nice change. He paid for dinner even though you protested he kindly rejected you to it.
You were strolling your way to the museum with your arm linked around Tom’s. It didn’t take long before you arrived. He slowly took your hand in his. He looked at you. “Is eh.. This okay?” you felt your cheeks burn up but decided not to look away this time. “Yes, it definitely is.” You said confident which made him want to smile brightly at you but he tried to hold it in and gave you a loving smile at you instead. You walked around while Tom told you a lot of new things and pointed out a lot of things on paintings and older findings. But to Tom’s surprise you started to catch up on him and tell him more new things then he could tell you. He smiled brightly at you with adoration visible in his eyes.
“What?” you asked him chuckling. He looked at the ground still smiling. “I don’t think I can teach you something new but you definitely teach me” He chuckled which made you realize that indeed you knew most of the things that you needed to know and even more than that. “You don’t have to worry about your exams anymore. You are going to do great!” he told you while standing in front of you, taking your other hand in his as well. he looked at you with love which made you look down. he placed his finger underneath your chin so you would look at him. he softly rubbed your cheek. “Your amazing did you know that? I’ve never met someone quite like you” You felt incredible shy not knowing what to do but blush.
You walked around the museum for a quite a bit, hand in hand before walking out. You decided to get some coffee and stroll around London for a bit more. Tom noticed you shiver and without saying something he took off his jacket and placed it around your shoulders. You looked at him and smiled “Thank you Tom” you told him and this time you gave him a small kiss on his cheek. After walking around for a bit you saw a coffee stand where you wanted to order. The man behind the stand had a stereo where some classical music came out of. Tom placed down his umbrella and placed out his hand for you to grab. “Might I have this dance with you my lady?” he asked you and you chuckled but never experienced something more romantic then this. “Yes, you may” you chuckled placing your hand in his. You both started to slow dance in the rain while staring into each other’s eyes. His hand that was placed delicately on your back pulled you more into his body.
After the song ended you both giggled a bit ordering coffee. “You both really make a beautiful couple. It reminds me of my young years with my wife.” The man said. You could see the love in his eyes while he thought back at his own beautiful memories. You both chuckled shyly not wanting to end a fantasy for the both of you. This time you paid leaving no room for a discussion and you kindly tipped the man and went your way again. You walked through the park went on a sort of sight seeing tour with Tom.
But unfortunately it started to get late and you started to get more cold. Tom took you home as usual. You both calmly chatted about the evening a bit and how much fun you had. It didn’t took you long to arrive at your place. You both shuffled around a little in front of your door. “Thank you for this night Tom, I had a lot of fun.” You told him and he replied once again with “It’s really my pleasure darling”. Tom looked down and you went for a kiss on his cheek but he looked up in that exact same moment which landed your lips on his. You quickly pulled away in shock. More in shock for his reaction. You both stared at each other in silence. You started to regret it, scared that you might lose him. “Tom, I’m so sorry…” You were caught off by his lips. The kiss was passionate. Like you were lovers in an old life and you’ve finally found each other after centuries of searching for one another. He placed his hand on the back of your head while pushing you softly against the wall.
After the long awaited kiss you both broke away from it. Breathing rapidly while resting your head against each other. His hands still placed on your cheeks and your fingers still holding tightly onto his suit. “I’ve waited so long for that” he whispered against your lips. “You and me both” you told him. He looked deeply into your eyes while you traced your finger softly against his features on his face. There was this sort of sensed calmness in the air around you. It felt clearer. “I’ve actually something for you too.” You told him with a soft smile. You took his hand and walked up your door. He stayed silent waiting what you had in store for him. “I thought I would give it later to you because it wouldn’t be handy if you’d carried it with you all the time. You definitely made Tom’s curiosity spike up. You walked into your art room after putting the warm dim lights on.
You stood in front of the painting that you made and looked at Tom. “I made this for you.” This time he was gob smacked. He looked at you in surprise. “For me?” he asked you softly. You nodded with a bright smile. His eyes went big looking at the painting. There was so much adoration in his eyes while he looked at the painting. “This is the best gift I have ever received in my entire life, thank you so much” he told you now standing in front of you, hands placed on your cheeks again. You pulled him in a desired kiss. He led you to your couch, both falling on it. Giggling but never letting go of one another. You both laid down staring at each other and so now and then kissed. But this time just taking each other’s time not hasting any of it. it was loving and enjoying each other. You didn’t know when but you fell asleep in Tom’s arms the last thing to hear him say is that he loves you. “I love you too” You mumbled back and you felt yourself pulled closer to the man in question. Indulged in the arms that are wrapped around you, knowing that everything would be okay. And if it’s not, then at least there’s Tom.

Halloween Special
Warnings! A little angst, some negative body image talk (just know that you all are beautiful and Loki loves you <3)
Notes! This is a Loki x mid-sized reader fic, I don’t see a lot of these and as a thicc person myself I thought it was needed. Sorry for being gone so long! I’ll try to be more active!!!
Word count: 1100+
Halloween with the Avengers was always interesting, to say the least. Sometimes you would be off on missions and miss the holiday entirely or there would be a small gathering somewhere to treat little kids. This year, everyone had agreed that each member would have to play as another avenger and have a party between the avengers and Tony’s other friends. Everyone drew names out of a hat and you got Natasha’s costume.
At first, you were ecstatic. Natasha was a complete badass, and not to mention her suit was stunning on her. Loki was also excited to see you in such attire, a tight form fitting suit with cleavage? He was practically bouncing up and down at the idea. But once Halloween night came, and you had finally put on the costume of her suit. You sat in front of the mirror and looked at yourself. Your excitement slowly melted away. The longer you stared at the mirror, the more flaws you spotted. Too tight at the thighs and stomach but too loose at the calves? Bit of fat here and there that wasn’t even possible for Natasha. She was perfect in every way. You could feel your eyes get watery as you poked and prodded at your body in the tight black suit. As you tried to wipe your tears away, you heard a soft knock on the bathroom door.
“Are you almost ready, Love? I am absolutely dying to see you.” Loki charmed on the other side of the door. Hearing his excitement made you feel even worse about the way you looked. He was so ready to see you come out looking like a supermodel when, in reality, you weren’t. You sniffled and furiously tried to dry your face off.
“I don’t know if we should go honey,” you paused and looked yourself over. “I don’t think I really should be there at the party.” Your voice was breaking as you spoke. Loki’s tone had changed completely.
“What do you mean, darling?”
You covered your face now with your hands as you cried harder into them. Your breath shaking as you tried to make words.
“I look huge… I can’t be seen like this, I’m disgusting.” You heard the door handle jiggle a little.
“Please let me in Love, I want to help you.” Loki only ever got this serious when he was truly upset. The thought of him being upset made you feel worse about your situation, like you were dragging him down with you. Nevertheless you pulled your hands away from your now red, tear-stained face and unlocked and opened the bathroom door. Loki was standing outside the door, in his costume as Captain America, looking great as ever.
“I’m sorry…” Your voice was quiet and small.
“What are you sorry for?“ Loki stepped forward, towering over you completely as he put both of his large hands on either side of your face and wiped the tears away. Your eyes immediately darted towards the ground, avoiding eye contact at all costs.
“For looking so bad. I know you were excited to see me in this and clearly it’s disappointing.” You broke down instantly.
“You look far from disappointing, putting that black widow to shame with this costume.” Loki spoke, his hands now moving down to your waist and pulling you closer to him.
“You’re just saying that. Natasha is perfect and curvy and I’m just, well, me.” You huffed. Loki smiled and backed up a bit to look you over with his sharp blue eyes. You glanced up at him and looked back down just as quickly.
“That’s precisely why you put her to shame. Look at you, you’re gorgeous, my little minx. So plump and soft. With how tight this suit is, it’s hugging you so dearly I can barely contain myself. Your thighs, my goodness, if we didn’t have a party to go to, I would certainly be buried between them right now. Not that it’s ever stopped me before..” Loki went off, a proud devious smile plastered on his face. You playfully hit his arm and tried not to giggle.
“Come on, you don’t mean that. I look so weird. These bits of fat right at my hips just pop out. I look horrible.”
“You do realize that if you were all skin and bone, there would be nothing for me to touch, to hold and to bite, right? And we simply cannot have that, can we, my dear?” Loki smiled, placing a finger under your chin and lifted your face to look at him.
“But don’t you think I need to be skinnier. I just feel like I stand out so much because I’m not some supermodel like everyone else.” Your words made Loki frown, his once playful face turned to a serious expression.
“I don’t think you quite understand. Everyone else is some sort of magical being and you are just you. Just your wonderful, enduring, and magnificent self. Just because they all have some sort of special ability doesn’t mean that they are any more important or better than you. Whether that comes to abilities or to looks. One thing that I’ve had to learn in the hardest ways possible is that you are who you are. “Loki paused to place a kiss on your forehead, his cold lips relieving on your warm skin.
“You are so ungodly, beautiful. Inside and out, my dear. I promise you, my dear. Please do not let another mere mortal let you feel inferior to them. What does it matter that you’re not skinny? Look at this.” Loki paused once again and moved your arms, wrapping them around his neck, and placing his arms around your waist. You were having trouble not crying from his words as you watched his actions.
“See how perfectly we fit together? Surely you’re not blind enough to miss that. We’re a perfect pair, you and I. Nothing can change that. So let’s go to that party, show everyone how perfect you really are. Everyone will see how truly beautiful my Y/n is.”
“I swear you’re too good for me sometimes. I’m about to cry right now.” You smiled, feeling much better than before.
“I mean it, you’re mine. I fully intend on showing you off to everyone tonight before we leave plenty early to continue on my plans with you.” Loki spoke, his voice deep and dangerous. It was back to its normal playful tone, but you knew mischief was coming. But at least you would get lots of fun out of it. After all, he was your Loki.

Loki’s jacket
At the end of the Loki series, fans were left with a litany of burning questions, one of them being: what the hell happened to Loki’s jacket? I mean, it was a fairly decent jacket. And it just ... vanished?
Then I found an interview with director Kate Herron about episode 3 (Lamentis). In response to a question about Loki losing his pompous attitude, she says:
I remember I had this diagram with Christine from costume. People will see it as the show goes on, but across this episode in particular, Loki's lost his Variant jacket. He doesn't have that by the end, and it's like, as a Loki, he's transforming and in that sense, it's almost like his outer appearance does as well, in the sense that his jacket's gone, but also he gets more dirty. And Sylvie's the same. She loses her horns on the train, and she loses that coat that we've seen her hiding under in the first two episodes.
source: https://www.thrillist.com/entertainment/nation/loki-kate-herron-interview
The symbolism doesn’t quite work, though -- Loki’s jacket seems to disappear randomly (we never see him shedding it, he just appears without it after his fall from the train) and it’s not obvious that this is a transformative moment for his character. And he continues getting dirtier throughout the show, even though his pompousness is long gone. By the time he ends up back in the (wrong) TVA at the end of the finale, his shirt is sweaty, torn, bloodied, and covered in grime. Even though he has supposedly transformed from a “villain” into a “hero,” he looks like something the cat dragged in and vomited on.
As for Sylvie, the loss of her horns and cloak are voluntary and triumphant -- she uses both to overcome attackers (she shoves the horns into someone’s face on the train and wraps her cloak around a guard in Sharoo), hence their loss represents a victory for her. Plus, unlike Loki, she retains her pompous attitude throughout the show, berating him for breaking the Timepad, scoffing at his plan to kill Alioth bcs she has a better idea, and telling him to shut up when they reach the Citadel at the End of Time. She’s got attitude and she’s not afraid to use it, horns or no horns.
Another thing I found strange: in episode 5, when Loki is trying to reach out to her in the blanket scene, she rejects his offer and instead asks him to conjure a new outfit for her. I fully expected that this foreshadowed a costume change for one or both of them in the finale, but it never happened. What was the point of that dialog? Maybe to underline that they were starting to diverge on their paths -- he wants to share his feelings with her and connect in a deeper way, whereas she’s just concerned with doing her own thing. Maybe her rejection of the blanket is meant to foreshadow her rejection of him in the finale, but it isn’t at all clear -- one of many cases in the show where the messaging is confusing and sloppy.
Stripping Loki of his Asgardian armor in episode 1 begins the process of breaking him down. By the end of his session with Mobius, he’s lost his clothing, his magic, his glorious purpose, his family, and most of his personality. The problem is, he continues to be beaten down throughout the show without being built up again. And this is incredibly dissatisfying for Loki fans.
Contrast with WandVision and TFATWS: Wanda and Sam both get major glow-ups to symbolize how their characters have changed. Wanda, despite going through some heavy losses, has attained a deeper understanding of who she is and how powerful she can be. Sam accepts his role as Captain America and comes to terms with the responsibility that he’s taking on. Bucky doesn’t get a new outfit (although he sports some nice clothes and let’s face it, Sebastian Stan looks good in just about anything), but he’s gained some measure of peace with his past and with Steve Roger’s retirement.
On a personal level, the first two Disney+ shows did good things for me. After watching WandaVision I actually cared about both Wanda and Vision, whereas before I was pretty lukewarm about their characters. (Vision, in particular, I regarded as a tragic waste of Paul Bettany). I empathized with both of them and came to believe in their romance, which had seemed kind of random in the movies. And after TFATWS, I felt better about Steve Rogers not being Captain America anymore; I believed that Sam was up for the job and I was ready to cheer him on. And I felt better about Bucky: he’s on a path to healing and has built a solid friendship with Sam. By contrast, after watching Loki I felt anxious and disappointed. His character was treated with disdain, his tragic backstory was ignored in favor of painting him as a megalomaniac narcissist, he was given an absolutely shit romantic partner (no hate to Sophia di Martino; she was fantastic; I’m talking about the character as it was written), and he just loses and loses and loses. Will he get better treatment in season 2, or will he continue to be the butt of jokes? Will he be allowed to truly heal from his traumatic past? Will he at least get a clean shirt? Time will tell ...

A/N: So this is a much requested Part II of this Christmas Imagine which I suppose you can also read on its own. Also has requests from @keepcalmandtravelonkate and @fandom-rpblog as well as the exclusive Zoom meeting idea. Haha, enjoy everyone! ♥
Words: 1822 Warnings: fluff
Christmas Eve came sooner than you had thought and it was about as cheerful as you had imagined it. Thor greeted you with mug of steaming hot chocolate first thing in the morning, wearing the ugly Christmas sweater you had bought him last year and Tony was already in the spacious living room with Pepper to finish up the preparations for his annual Christmas party.
You spent the entire day baking biscuits and didn’t see Loki all day but for some peculiar reason you hoped that he too would attend the biggest Christmas party in New York City. Tony had invited everyone—no, that was not entirely true, the party was, in fact, for everyone—especially those who had no one else to spend Christmas Eve with or wanted to do so with none other than the famous Avengers.
With a sigh, you finished applying your red lipstick and admired yourself in the mirror. The green dress shimmering like a thousand tiny crystals had cost you way more than what you would normally spend on clothes but the occasion was worth it. You had only realised after that green was Loki’s colour too. Another sigh escaped your lips.
The God of Mischief and you had not really spoken since the roof-incident. Part of you wondered whether he was about as confused as you about what had happened between you, especially after Thor had interpreted your entanglement in a romantic manner, the other insisted you didn’t think too much of it. Loki was just… Loki. Mysterious, mischievous and handsome. Wait… handsome?
By the time you arrived at the party, more than two dozen guests had already arrived. Dressed in Christmas pullovers, suits or festive dresses much like you, they held small glasses full of mulled wine, eggnog or champagne, munching on biscuits and other Christmas treats and chatting with each other and the superheroes who had already joined the party guests, impressing them with their stories and their skills.
Your heart skipped a beat when you spotted Loki standing only a few feet away from you. Heavens, he should not be allowed to wear suits. Instead of the light version of his Asgardian signature outfit you usually saw him in, the God of Mischief was dressed in an all-black suit complimenting his raven hair and tall figure. It was perfect to blend in and not attract too much attention, for many citizens still avoided him like the plague after everything that had happened only a few years back. Your eyes met, sending waves of electricity though you, and he nodded.
You furrowed your brows when somebody spoke your name. “Is that you?” Much to your dismay, you recognised the voice immediately. It belonged to Derek, your ex-boyfriend. Derek who collected action figures of the Avengers and who owned a Captain America costume worth five-hundred dollars. Derek, who had cheated on you with other women and, upon your break-up, had blamed you for the sexual imbalance in your relationship. Needless to say, you had not exactly ended it on good terms. The last thing you wanted to do was chat to him of all people on Christmas Eve. Much rather, you’d finally spend some time with Loki again. He was fun to be around once he had warmed up to someone…
“I tried to text you like… a hundred times.”
“I saw. I blocked your number after fifty.” You retorted.
“Don’t be like that. I was going to make up, you know.”
“You literally told me it’s my fault that you went ahead and fucked other women behind my back, Derek!”
“Because you didn’t give me what I need in the bedroom, baby. We should have talked about that more. It wouldn’t happen again. Let’s talk about this. Can I get you a drink?”
“No, thank you.”
“Okay… Care to dance with me then?”
“Absolutely not.” You hissed.
“Come on. You are not here with someone, are you?”
You blinked. Fuck. Think, think, think. “Yes, actually.” You lied quickly. Your eyes fell on Loki who met your gaze again in a strange and almost affectionate way—something had definitely changed between you since he had helped you decorate the Avengers facility and you remembered, with butterflies in your belly, how he had caught you in his arms when you had fallen off the roof like a bird with broken wings. The idea came to you before you could properly think it through. Derek would never dare to defy someone like Loki. He was your perfect alibi to get rid of him.
“I’m here with my boyfriend. You probably know Loki?” Before you could change your mind, you stepped forward, closed the remaining distance between you and put your arm under Loki’s. He did not fail to react. Turning away from Thor, he frowned and stared at your linked arms, then opened his mouth to question you. Much to your relief, however, the gesture did not seem to anger him.
You shot him a pleading glance. Play along, you thought. Please, take the hint.
“Are you serious right now?” Derek spat, a both disgusted and shocked expression on his face.
Much to your surprise—or maybe not—Loki wrapped his arms around your middle then, pressing you against his strong body. Your heart skipped a beat. This felt like him cradling you in his arms like a bride, only more… intense, for this time—this time, it was actually intentional.
Loki gave Derek a glare, his lips ghosting over your forehead. “Are you alright, my sweet mortal?” My sweet mortal? “I believe you have promised me a dance.”
Derek swallowed, blinking at you a few times—and then, without a word, he shook his head and disappeared in the burbling and dancing crowd. You let out a breath you didn’t realise you were holding. Good thing for you he’d always been a coward.
But while relief was flooding your veins, at the very same time, adrenaline set every single cell of your body on fire. Loki was still holding you. His lips against your skin had felt like the gentle kiss of a butterfly… You looked up, if anything not to make the situation even more awkward than it already was, given that by now, both Thor and Natasha had become rather taken aback witnesses as well.
“Thank you. I really owe you.” You muttered.
“I take it this was a former suitor of yours?”
You gave him a weak smile. “That’s a very elegant way to put it but yes, he is my ex-boyfriend. I left him when I found out he cheated on me—repeatedly. I panicked when he approached me and I knew he’d be scared of you.”
“Why thank you.” Loki replied with dismay before, much to your surprise, a smirk grew on his lips.
“No! I just meant…”
“I know what you meant. So?”
“S-so what?”
“He is still watching you. You would do well to keep up the act.” Loki said, keeping you from spinning around to check. But he was probably right either way. You had just announced in front of a bunch of strangers as well as your ex-boyfriend and two Avengers that Loki and you were dating. You were honestly surprised the Trickster did not at all seem too bothered by this very circumstance, not to mention what it meant for you. Ever since the roof-incident, you certainly didn’t mind clinging onto him like that.
“Dance with me.” He commanded softly, one of his large hands coming to rest on your waist while the other interlinked with yours. “He will lose interest if you feign easiness.”
You nodded quickly, leaning into him to not raise any suspicion and taking a deep breath when the side of your face connected with his chest. Loki rested his chin on the top of your head, weighing you gently from side to side as if the music was made of waves carrying you over an ocean. It was a classic playing right now—What are you doing New Year’s Eve by Ella Fitzgerald—sweet, calm… romantic. This evening was going in a very dangerous direction now but you couldn’t help but feel safe and protected in the God of Mischief’s arms. Who would have thought that putting up Christmas decoration together would create such a strong bond between two people… a mortal and a god on top of that?
“I got you a Christmas present, you know.” You murmured after a while.
His voice vibrated in his chest, you could feel it against your cheek. “Did you now?”
“Hmm…” He stole away your ability to speak. That was so unfair! “I was going to give it to you tomorrow morning but… would you like me to give it to you now, in private?” It would be the perfect excuse to get away from here for a bit too, even if, in better lighting, Loki would probably notice your blushed cheeks.
“Lead the way, my sweet mortal.” There it was again. Smiling up at him sheepishly, you moved a step back and took his hand, practically fleeing from the scene.
Loki remained in the doorway when you reached your room. Whether it was out of decency or respect, you couldn’t quite tell. You crossed your room with quick steps, reaching for Loki’s gift under your bed. You had wrapped it in green paper and decorated it with a golden bow. A bit of a cliché perhaps but it looked just perfect.
“Merry Christmas, Loki.” You said when you returned to him and handed it to him. He only took it hesitatingly.
“Why did you get me a gift?”
You shrugged. “I just wanted to be nice. I doubt the others will have gotten you something so I thought… just so you can unwrap something too?” You almost choked on your nervous laughter. “You know I almost decided not to give it to you after all after you almost drove me mad when I was hanging up the Christmas lights.”
Loki chuckled. “I suppose you made that consideration before I saved your life.”
“More or less...” You replied, winking at him. Hey… this isn’t so hard after all!
Your heart was pounding in your chest by the time he unwrapped it, revealing the notebook and the green and gold fountain pen you had gotten him. It even came with green ink.
“It’s not much, really, just…” You said quickly. “I keep seeing you scribbling and reading a lot and I thought…”
“Thank you.” He interrupted. Honesty swung in his smooth voice, making your heart beat faster in an instant. At this speed, you were going to need an ambulance soon.
You smiled. “I ought to thank you. Derek is a dick. You saved me twice now, I’m in your debt.”
Loki chuckled once more, looking you deeply in the eye. “Yes. I believe you are.” It was, without a doubt, a promise.

Richard E. Grant has been in so many notable franchises that it's easy to forget him making multi-episode appearances on Doctor Who and Game of Thrones. But it's highly unlikely anyone will forget the Oscar-nominated actor's turn as Classic Loki in Disney+'s Loki, from his exquisite costume meant to emulate the Silver Age of the comics to his big heroic moment in Episode 5, "Journey Into Mystery."
As a variant of Loki (Tom Hiddleston), Classic Loki is meant to be similar but different from the "mischievous scamp" in key ways, and in a one-on-one interview with Collider, Grant explained how that fact, as well as a key bit of the script, affected his performance. He also revealed how he and Hiddleston had talked about potentially working together in the past (in, admittedly, a very different capacity), and his pitch for a Loki spin-off that I think we can all agree is an instant greenlight.
Collider: To start things off, what does it mean to join the MCU in this capacity? Is this something you've been looking forward to?
RICHARD E. GRANT: Oh yeah. I'd had experience because I was in Logan about five years ago, so I'd had a taste of what this is, but Tom Hiddleston has said to me, he said, "You know, I think that when people see Classic Loki there's going to be a big response." I thought that he was just blowing smoke up my fundament on the first day to make me feel better about coming into work for one episode, Episode 5, after they'd be doing it for practically a year before. Then I saw my Instagram and Twitter feed and the reviews that came out last Wednesday and I realized that he saw into the crystal ball in a way that I didn't. So Tom was right and I stand gleefully corrected.
Did they tell you anything about the costume before you signed up?
GRANT: Yeah. They sent me the costume design with my face on it. It was the classic Loki of the Jack Kirby illustrations of the '60s and it was a fantastic muscle suit. As you can see, I'm born without any. When I got to Atlanta and I said, "So where's the muscle suit that I get into before I get into the green tights?" They said, "What muscle suit?" And I said, "Well, like the drawings." They said, "No. We don't have one for you." And I said, "Well, I don't have any muscles to fill this out." And they said, "Ah, don't worry about that." And I said, "I do worry about that." And I'm still worrying about that and I'm still grouching about it because I wanted those muscles.
I think you look lovely.
GRANT: Thank you.
But I love the fact that they sent you the costume design. Recently, I talked to Kate Herron and she said that you were their first choice for the role.
GRANT: Wow. I didn't know that.
Does that surprise you, at this point in your career — that you would be the first choice on somebody's list?
GRANT: It always surprises me, but what didn't surprise me is that I had... Because I've known Tom Hiddleston socially and from his career and I'd seen him backstage at the theater and things over the decades, we'd always joked about playing father and son, because of our vague similarity in the way that we look. So, when I saw that I thought, "Oh, I've been cast because I have a similar physique or look to Tom." So that's what I thought, but I had no idea. Kate didn't tell me that I was her first choice. People never tell you this stuff. Maybe they think you're going to get too above yourself, but I don't know. I wish people would tell you. I'd love to hear, so thank you for telling me that.
You're welcome. I mean, she called you their north star.
GRANT: Aw. Thank you. She was a delight to work with.
Was there anything specifically Loki-ish that you were trying to incorporate into the performance?
GRANT: I knew that rather than Tom Hiddleston's God of Mischief, [Classic Loki] has this line explaining his past that he is the God of Outcasts, and has been so lonely and isolated on this planet, and is willing to be arrested by the TVA in order to get back in contact with his brother, and to sacrifice himself ultimately to Asgard, I thought that was a way into the character that was not trying to imitate, because I couldn't hope to, what Tom does so brilliantly and has done for over a decade now. So I thought that was the way into doing it.
Looking over your career, you've gotten to be a part of a lot of really exciting franchises, including Doctor Who and Star Wars. Is there anything else on your bucket list? Are there other franchises, and/or other fantasy costumes you want to wear?
GRANT: Classic old Loki with muscles and Alligator-dot-com, the subseries of the sub-sub-sub series. That's what I want.
Given the audience reaction to Alligator Loki, I think that there would be a fan base for that.
GRANT: Yeah and classic Loki is the only one that can talk to him and understand him. It's a given. It's a scriptwriter's dream. Get it done.
The season finale of Loki premieres Wednesdays on Disney+.
