Aquil Info
Hi there! So this lovely post is to give you information on the world a few of my 'alien' characters are from! Currently only one character is directly from this place but!
NOTE THIS WILL BE UPDATED AS MORE CHARACTERS ARE ADDED/IF QUESTIONS COME UP
Basics: Aquil is a very small and well hidden dimension located in the folds of multiple realities, this odd place is not self sufficient and needs to siphon resources and the likeness of nearby realms. The very world of Aquil is constantly moving as it is essentially settled on the back of a twin headed snake that hatched from a star. Hence why its resources are finite and the realm itself is constantly changing and loosing those who live within it. As a result the denizens of this world have adapted in various chimerical results of the worlds/realities closest to them when they hatched. Parasitic in nature, these beings are highly efficient in processing energy nearby them, such as in the case of eating food, being in prolonged sunlight, or even areas high in chemicals. The rule of thumb with these beings is Survival is everything, they can live as long as they can process and adapt to environments nearby them though they will always be at a disadvantage when it comes to physical prowess. As their main host is constantly slithering through the equivalent of laylines, these entities can pop up anywhere and start to attempt to flourish.
Behavior of Denizens: Due to the harsh conditions and lack of resources at time, most Aquillian's do not see the value of fighting amongst each other, most of the time they just fixate on processing energy and making it last as long as they can. They don't want to waste anything so tend to make large elaborate homes out of anything and everything they can get their hands on after stripping it for any energy they can- They horde and build large piles of resources that they will use to try and use to trade for excess material to leech the energy out of. Though they do not physically fight, some groups of Aquilians are highly petty and will insult, destroy, or even refuse to trade with others they believe have offended them. However those few are the minority, with it being typical for large groups of them to flock together to get access their 'favored' energy type. Think of this 'favored energy' as a favorite food/ type of energy they are good at breaking down and using in the most effective manner. Those groups usually just call themselves 'Wings'. No one really knows where the term came from, but it stuck.
Interactions with Other Species: Due to the urge to just keep surviving Aquillians who end up on other planets or realities try to latch onto the first nonhostile presence they meet and either directly or indirectly start following and mimicking their actions. Think of it like having a new coworker who starts doing tasks similarly to you after watching you do it so often. As their main goal is to survive they will be incredibly unlikely to start a fight, and instead just try and fit into a family unit or group to keep themselves alive while also trying to get a feel for what is the most abundant energy source they can start tapping into.
About Specialties: Due to Aquillians essentially being created out of robbed energy from around them they sometimes will manifest odd abilities that dont make sense to the rest of the group, most of these specialties will be promptly utalized by a wing as a way to get more energy and can lead to the Aquillian who manifested them either being put to constant work, or essentially pampered for their abilities. Each specialty is treated differently, and each Wing will deal with it different. But overall they are regarded highly and it is seen as a great loss if they die/are 'shed'. Shed is the term used by Aquillians to describe when someone simply disappears without a trace and falls through rifts and ending up somewhere else.
Reproduction: Very brief, Aquillians do not have genders, any Aquillian can lay eggs or be the sire of eggs. Though this action is only usually done in very favorable conditions as it takes a lot of energy to successfully raise a young Aquillian as they can only leech off their parents for the first 100 years. The bonus is that the body will naturally not lay viable eggs if it doesn't have enough stored energy, so casual sex is still a pastime some take part in. The use of pronouns is highly personal to each Aquillian, and isnt really kept track of by anyone other than the Aquillian in Question
The current only muse of mine who was originally from this place is Reien Azriia, who landed in a rainforest and has been keeping himself alive by feeding on the electrical storms that are in the area, supplementing with food too though he hates the flavor of most things.
Current Muses

I saw this post and it didn’t look like anyone had answered your questions yet, so hope you don’t mind me weighing in! :)
If I recall correctly, Enel's candy canes come from a store in Greenway (uncertain if it's the same store that Velvare gets his peppermints from, but I think there's an extra or a comment from Laura somewhere that mentions Enel's candy cane supplier - I don’t have a link, sorry, but it might be on her DeviantArt page).
If you have any of the curses figured out 100%, you're doing better than the majority of Nerdarians! For the most part, we tend to cobble together working theories and adjust as new information is dropped. ;))
With the above caveat, as far as we know, Enel would die if Nathan died (just as Bhatair was dying when Thoth was murdered). Bhatair is not technically alive, I think, and while sleep restores his energy, he can also draw energy from Melete. Bhatair bleeds out when he doesn't have enough sleep (and when Melete is low on energy to support his sleepless habit).
Marcus is connected because he ran into a young Bhatair (fortunately or unfortunately, depending on how you look at it - see 15x01 & 15x02) and followed him to Greenway, where he ended up crossing paths with the St. Claires, Enel, and - eventually - the rest of the Novalog gang. He's really just along for the ride. We don't know (yet?) why he's affected by Syllor’s Curse, except that it affects a lot of people in varying levels (the St. Claires at the "incredibly easily" level and someone like Avidan at the "not so much" level, apparently).
Aquil's identity is given in panel 3 of 18x17. It (of course) raises more questions, but provides a conclusive explanation of his identity (unless there’s a bait-and-switch, but that doesn’t seem to make narrative sense).
Nathan is indeed older than Delaney, by about a year (it gets updated occasionally, but here’s the link to the age chart I have saved.). There are some good theories about the, uh, logistics, but Laura has yet to confirm them.
Apen has three sisters: Aphera, Adara, and April. All three of them are seen in the theatre flashback, but April has appeared most prominently in Apen's memories (Adara, sadly, is the only one who hasn't had any lines).
We do not know anything yet about Ayran's wife. People theorise that he may've been romantically involved with Melete once (based on a Q&A about Melete's favourite colour), but there has been no in-story evidence yet that I've seen to suggest anything about their relationship besides antagonism on Ayran's part.
And welcome to the fandom! :)

If we take into consideration GRRM’s concept of “the villain is the hero of the other side” and the Aquilles/Hector battle from the Iliad, I think it’s important to go over these characters and what drives them, especially with s8 just around the corner.
There are three main characters in the Iliad: Aquiles, Agamemnon and Hector. You can also divide the poem based on the dynamics between these three characters: the dynamic between Aquilles and Agammemnon and the dynamic between Aquilles and Hector.
Aquilles and Agammemnon are from the same side, both are greek, but due to a dispute they end up as “enemies”. Aquilles swears that he won’t fight for Agammemnon until he apologizes. Something worth addressing: they’re both “kings” (ánaktes), they’re both powerful and respected by the greeks, but their interests clash; Agammemnon’s desire for power and Aquilles’ desire for glory (kléos) are in constant conflict. There’s also the fact that he betrays Agammemnon: the fact that he asked his mother to beg Zeus to make the Trojans win the war as long as he wouldn’t fight for the Acheans is treason.
And then there’s Hector. He’s described as a hero and as everything a good man should aspire to be: he’s a warrior, he’s noble of heart, but most importantly, he defends his city. He’s an enemy to both Aquilles and Agammemnon, but they don’t come into (personal) conflict until he kills Patroclus.
This is when the dynamics shift. Up until now, we had Aquilles antagonizing Agammemnon, but he was indifferent to his “real” enemy, Hector. The killing of Patroclus acts as a catalyst. Aquilles and Agammemnon reconcile and are a united front again, but their interests are still different: Agammemnon wants to conquer Troy, Aquilles wants to kill Hector. One seeks glory, the other revenge.
And then, the duel between Aquilles and Hector takes place. The former is the greatest hero for the Acheans, the best warrior that ever lived; the latter is the greatest hero for the Trojans, the prince that defends his family and city from those who seek to destroy it. They’re both heroes (and both sides know this) but they’re fighting for different reasons: the former seeks revenge, the latter wants to defend his city.
Aquilles kills Hector, but it isn’t enough for him. He drags his body through the dirt, in front of his father, wife and family. It’s an extremely cruel thing to do, not heroic at all. It’s an act of hýbris from Aquilles.
So, to sum up:
Hector dies trying to defend his city
Aquilles dies in the final battle
Troy falls
Agammemnon manages to go home
Now, GOT
The three monarchs in GOT, as in s7e1:
Daenerys Targaryen
Cersei Lannister
Jon Snow
There are two ways to draw comparisons.
One way is to compare characters. If we only take the characters and not the dynamics, we could say:
Daenerys = Aquilles
Cersei = Agammemnon
Jon Snow = Hector
(Now, I’m not saying that Daenerys will kill Jon, or that she and Cersei will unite to go against Jon and the North. I’m just comparing the characters)
Daenerys and Aquilles
They’re both the most feared in battle. Aquilles is a renowned warrior and Daenerys has great (fire)power in the form of her dragons. In s7, it was established what she was capable of doing when she gives in into her anger. Just like Aquilles, she doesn’t stop until she wins, even if she applies more force than was really necesary.
Cersei and Agammemnon
They’re both considered to be above everyone else (they themselves especially like to believe this). Agammemnon is the ánax of the most renowned city of Greece, Mycenae, and Cersei is on the Iron Throne, the greatest seat of power in Westeros. Like Agammemnon, she is driven by power; it’s important to her that everyone knows she’s the most important in the room, there’s no one above her. No one can challenge her or her power.
Jon and Hector
They're both presented as defenders, putting the needs of other before theirs, even if it means they could die (spoiler alert: they both did). Hector was the leader of the Trojans, and it was him who they looked up to; same with Jon, he’s the (military) leader of the North and it was him who they looked up to (not so much now at the beginning of s8). Like Hector, Jon is driven by duty: it’s his duty to protect people, first, as part of the Night’s Watch, then as Lord Commander, then as Ned Stark’s bastard and ultimately, as King in the North. He’s not interested in power; he’s a family man, he’s a protector.
Another way to draw comparisons is through the dynamics. First let’s draw comparisons from the diferent dynamics as of s7e7:
Jon - Daenerys ------- Allies
Daenerys - Cersei --- Enemies
Jon- Cersei ------------ Enemies
With this in mind:
Jon - Daenerys = Aquilles and Agammemnon’s dynamic (after Patroclus’ death)
Daenerys - Cersei = Aquilles and Hector’s dynamic
Jon - Cersei = Aquilles and Agammemnon’s dynamic (before Patroclus’ death)
Where could they go on from here?
(This is just speculative)
Jon - Daenerys
Their dynamic could shift from the one I just mentioned to a dynamic closer to the one of Aquilles and Hector. Them getting a dynamic like this would mean Targbowl. If this dynamic were to take place, it has to be clear that they want different things. Both are recognized heroes (by the audience), but their reason for fighting are different: Dany’s endgame is the IT, Jon’s is the survival of humanity. One thing that would definetely make them fight is Northern Independence. This subject would be heavily influenced by the outside (the Starks, the Northern and Vale lords and ladies), so it’ll most likely come down to Jon choosing sides. Another thing that would influence his desicion regarding Northern Independence is the parentage reveal.
Overall, there are outside matters (Northern Independence, parentage reveal) that could cause some friction in their dynamic, but it ultimately comes down to what they want and what they’re fighting for.
Daenerys - Cersei
This dynamic is not going to change, simply because they both want the Iron Throne and it’s unlikely that they’re going to stop fighting for it. Like the battle between Aquilles and Hector, I believe mistakes will be made in both sides, mistakes that they will have to answer for. They will commit acts of hýbris. But the fact that Daenerys and Cersei are “locked” in this dynamic means that their conflict won’t end until one of them is out of the picture. Let’s not forget that Cersei knows she’s not only fighting for the IT, but for the her survival and that of her House.
This is the conflict I’m most excited about. The fact that Cersei’s truce was a lie will cause complications for everybody. But once this is known, what will Dany do? Will she burn Tyrion or Jaime for lying? Will she attack King’s Landing? And what will Cersei do? She’s not one to wait around.
Jon - Cersei
This one is hard. They want different things: Cersei wants the IT and Jon fights for the survival of humankind (and Northern Independence). But just like his dynamic with Dany, it’s not just about what they want. The fact that Jon is the “true” heir of the IT makes him a direct rival to Cersei, too, not just Dany. So, there’s going to be a clash there. But if Dany goes rogue, then it would be in Cersei’s interest to find any means to stand her ground long enough to defeat her. This is where their dynamic could change. It wouldn’t be a full-blown alliance, more of a the-enemy-of-my-enemy situation. Their dynamic could go from an Aquilles-Agammemnon pre Patroclus’ death dynamic to an Aquilles-Agammemnon post Patroclus’ death dynamic. They wouldn’t fight as a united front, Cersei would be far more vicious, like Aquilles, in order to secure the Throne (the thing she wants), and Jon would be more of a commander, fighting for the people, like Agammemnon.
There are a couple of ways in which this could happen (kidnap plot, Tyrion betrays Dany in order to side with his sister and/or the Starks). But we’ll have to wait and see.

Fluff & 3 with Samanta!!
3 - “I just feel safe with you. Like nothing bad can happen.”
-If we get this prey we can do a good business - said Miriam while prepraba rifle
- But why do I have to do this? - Samanta said he did not agree with Miriam's plan.
There was a white cougar very difficult to find in this area, they had to go from davenport homestead, to take it. Samantha saw Miriam in the area and Miriam said to go with her to hunt him. But Samantha was bad at hunting and Connor was not in the area. Miriam said to call the cougar's attention to Samantha with a trap set for it, something she was totally against. First, she could die and second, she knew it would not work. However, now she is scared and ready to make Miriam's plan.
- Calm down, go carefully to her, I cover you - said Miriam while preparing the rifle. Samanta approached little by little to the puma that had already detected its presence and the animal was approaching little by little towards her. Samanta followed the plan and went slowly to the area where Miriam was but someone who called a lot of attention was looking for them.
- Miriam, Samantha! I finally found you - shouted Norris while Miriam fired from the scare to another side. The cougar set out to chase Samantha that she started running right away.
"I already knew that it was not a good idea" thought Samanta as she ran faster but the cougar was faster and more agile than her.
"No, no, no, no" thought Samanta but the puma went to attack but the animal received an arrow leaving him dead in the act.
- You know it was not a good idea. If I had not been there, what would you have done? - Connor said coming down from the tree and approaching her.
- It was not my idea! Tell that to Miriam. I did not agree but try to reason with her - Samanta said crossing her arms while Connor continued to look serious and crossed his arms.
- I'm serious, Samantha - Connor said as he went to take the puma's furs while with his knife
Samanta approached - I know, I know, ratonhnhaké: ton but I know you're always there even though you have not taught me to defend myself with Aquiles ... Also, I just feel safe with you. Like nothing bad can happen - said Samanta joining her forehead with Connor making a small smile come out
- I'm still angry but you can compensate me now - Connor said attracting her.
Samanta blushed but before they could do something. Miriam and Norris arrived and were annoyed by the moment. They took the skins and advanced Samantha felt someone's hand while walking was Connor's. It might interrupt them but then they would continue talking about it.
Safely in your arms.

Encantadia: What they did right, and what they did wrong
The right things:
Worldbuilding. Encantadia is arguably one of Philippine TV’s most imaginative show. The sheer brilliance of its worldbuilding -- a perfect mix of fantasy and native mythology, is the core strength of this show. The amount of imagination and research, and the way these ideas are brought to life is what made this show so compelling for its viewers. I love that in this remake, they expanded the world of Encantadia and included new lores and myths that enhance our understanding of its characters.
Lira and Mira. Fated rivals turned into each others’ ride or die. I am living. This kind of friendship is so beautiful to watch because the actors’ (Mikee and Kate) natural charisma and skillful acting brought these characters to life. Lira and Mira were relatable. They made mistakes, but they learned from it. They were funny, but they were also serious when needed. They fought fiercely, but they also showed softness. Oftentimes we see friendships portrayed in Philippine television as lopsided -- there always one in a friendship that is perceived as the ‘sidekick’, but Lira and Mira were equals. They both blossomed and were each other’s support system.
Ybramihan. This is a controversial call because of the proverbial Alebarro pairing in the original series. But somehow, this remake just made this paring work. Ruru and Kylie’s chemistry is explosive and the more I watched them, the more I wanted Ybramihan to be endgame. Their love story was written poignantly, and with such subtlety that is very refreshing to see on Philippine television.
Cassiopea and Ether. Solenn was born to play this role. The way she portrayed Cassiopea as this complicated hero reminded me of a Greek myth. There is something very Greecian about her and the Bathalas and Bathalumans. The way they mold in, and actively take part in the shaping of the world of Encantadia is reminiscent of the way the Greek gods and goddesses interfere with the lives of the mortal heroes simply because they can and they want to. I live for that because they showed these divine beings as infallible and human.
The villains (well, most of them anyway). As I always said, any good vs bad story requires an amazing villain. Hagorn was the perfect antithesis to the Sang’gres. He was cunning, brutal, but also complex. He reminded me so much of Snape; a good character, but a bad person. Asval too was the quintessential villain -- backstabbing, dishonest, and self-serving. Andorra and Agane too were exceptionally loathsome villains.
The wrong things:
The format. Encantadia should have been a weekly series. The pressure to produce an episode 5 times a week is huge, and it showed in the show. Changing the format would have allowed them to refine certain plot points and edit the script, and also more time to prepare for it. The filler episodes (which is like every episode from Tuesday to Thursday tbh) were mostly bad, with a few exceptions.
Etheria. The Etheria arc ruined this show, period. Avria was a poorly-written villain. The time travel thing did not fit into the narrative of the story. There was no reason for Etheria to have been resurrected. The plotholes were too obvious and it seemed like everything were written haphazardly, with no clear direction.
Ariana and the sarkosi. Again, why was this on the show? It was literally pointless, narrative-wise. Ariana as a character was bland and one-dimensional, and the sarkosi bit was not explored enough.
Too many extra characters. They were obviously plot fillers and only existed out of convenience. The show could have exerted more effort in developing characters already there (Aquil, Muros, WANTUK, Wahid to name a few) instead of introducing us to characters that, like Ariana, did not enhance the narrative. Examples are Deshna, Amarro, Gilas, Azulan, Manik, and a whole lot more I could care less about.
Too much focus on moving the plot. Plot is important, I know, but if I were to choose between a good plot and good characters, I’d choose the latter. A good character in a badly written plot is still more watchable than a story with a good premise but botched characterization. The overall lack of character development for most characters made the show difficult to watch at times.

My Thoughts before Encantadia's Finale
Once again… Character death is the solution to make another “pasabog” moment.
Why am I not surprised?
My two cents goes to Arde actually being the sort-of hero in the end. He’ll end up betraying Ether for her “treachery”, and by combining his powers with Emre, they will both bring back Cassiopeia and all those who died unfairly back to life. Thus the start of the final war of Encantadia.
I’m still unsure what to make of Mira and Lira’s fates. If Cassandra is really going to make it in this requel, then I think at least Lira’s going to die. While I love Mikee, I don’t think she can nail the motherly role as of now. Perhaps they’re saving Cassandra for the final scene as an open ending, in a way that would imply of a second season for Enca.
I’m holding onto hope that the Super Twins will get to participate in the final battle. Sayang naman ang warrior outfits and their tagapangalaga statuses if they’re both going to stay comatose until the final episode, especially for Lira, who’s SUPPOSED to be the prophesied Hero of Encantadia.
For tonight’s episode, Ybrahim’s “treachery” is … I don’t even know what to make of it. It’s easy to point fingers, but in his defense, Ybrahim has prematurely lost most if not all his blood relatives (unless you count Asval, who probably has the biggest, well-deserved target on his back), his kingdom, and especially the ones he loved the most, which is Amihan and Lira. So it’s only natural that he’d become desperate to find a way to keep the only family he has left.
We’ve seen him pull this act before with the Spirit Gem in exchange for Kahlil. I don’t think we should be so surprised that he ended up being the one betraying the sanggres instead of Pirena, despite it being a stupid move and something Amihan and especially Lira would NOT be proud of.
I’m still hoping that he wises up and actually has a plan behind his “treachery”. Maybe he’s doing this to trick Hagorn into giving him the “lunas” not only for Lira, but also for Mira, and maybe disrupt Hagorn’s forces on the inside. Like how a true leader’s supposed to be. That would be some last minute development that I would love to see with Ybrahim, who seemed more and more useless as Book 2 went on.
But I’ve learned not to get my hopes up for good character development. Encantadia ‘17 has failed to reach my expectations in that field for some time, even during Book 1. Still, there’s no harm in hoping that they’re not just trying to rush things.
Here are the rest of my predictions for the finale:
1. Alena will become Queen of Lireo in Danaya’s stead, not only because she wants Danaya to be happy with Aquil, but also because she has proven herself worthy to take up the responsibility, as shown how level-minded she is during this whole disaster.
2. Continuing from #1, if Alena truly will become Queen of Lireo, she will most probably not end up with Memfes, at least not in this season. While I’m all for Alena being single, if AleMemfes is really the direction they’re going, I think Alena will still reject Memfes because at this time, she’s still secretly pining over Ybarro. But it’s possible that she’ll ask Memfes if he’s willing to wait for her until her heart is fully over Ybarro and is open to love another. That, and when her Queenship is over.
3. If Cassandra will exist in the requel (otherwise, what would be the point of Cassiopeia taking a strand of Lira’s hair?), then she will most likely be the next Queen of Lireo after Alena. At this point, I highly doubt that Lira will become queen, even though I would’ve loved to see that.
4. The next-in-line for Hathoria’s throne could go to either Mira or Deshna (if either of them are brought to life). But I remembered Cassiopeia telling Mira that she will not become Queen (although that was initially because of Anthony), and I believe Deshna would’ve chosen to have a peaceful, rural life.
With that said, I have a feeling that it would be Pirena’s second offspring that would become the heir, possibly with Azulan as the father. He/she could be one of the protagonists of the new season, if it pushes through. He/she might also end up becoming some sort of Kylo Ren (Star Wars) in the story.
5. As for Sapiro’s heir, this could go both ways. One thing I’m pretty sure of… I don’t think Lira’s going to become the Queen of Sapiro, although that would’ve been nice to see as well.
If AleBarro becomes canon (please don’t), then obviously Armea will be conceived and will become the next Queen of Sapiro, just like the original.
If Amihan returns for good (NOT as Ariana please), then she will most likely marry Ybrahim and become Queen of Sapiro. She’ll probably give Lira the sibling/s she’s always wanted, and that sibling will become the new heir of Sapiro. Or the reason they conceived again could be in memory of her. Why do I feel like their next kid/s would end up being twins? Would love to see another sibling rivalry for the throne, though not as harsh and intense as Pirena VS Amihan.
If Cassandra exists, since she is Ybrahim and Amihan’s biological grandchild, then it’s very possible for her to live with them in Sapiro. It could follow Etheria’s plot with Cassandra living in Sapiro and Ybrahim initially wanting her to become his heir instead of Lireo.
6. The true Amihan will return (PLEASE. IS THIS SO HARD TO DO?). Emre could be the one who’ll return her back to her original self. I have a feeling that the Wind Gem would become key to her return. Or if Raquim really comes back, he’ll be the final ticket to her memories coming back full-force. In the spur of the moment, Ariana (Arra) will transform into Amihan (Kylie) again in the midst of the war, and she’ll be the one who’ll end Hagorn once and for all.
Of course, it’s most likely that Kylie won’t do any fighting scenes for her baby’s sake, so it’s possible that her “transformation” will happen after the war or by the final scene to surprise the viewers. That or they get a stand-in for Amihan’s fighting scenes, but with Kylie’s close-ups.
Please don’t let us down for the last time, DMR/Emre.
7. Danaya and Aquil get married, but will have no offspring yet. Yes, I know they had one by the end of the original run, but I don’t know, i just feel like they wouldn’t have one yet. This could become one of their issues if the second season pushes through. Danaya will become the Queen’s official advisor, the right-hand woman like she was when Amihan was Queen. Aquil will become a Mashna again along with Muros, or maybe become a spy for Lireo.
8. Lilasari will die, and it’s either Hitano or Amarro who will die with her. I’m betting more on Hitano dying for her. I feel kinda bad for him though. It seems more like Lilasari doesn’t love him anymore, especially since she’s been in Amarro’s company for so long, which would be the second rejection he’s received. And after all he did to be with her and Deshna again…
9. Emre and Cassiopeia will become the highest Bathalumans of the realm, becoming some sort of King and Queen in Devas. No offspring here. Arde will either still be in-charge of the dead or be killed alongside Ether. The snake finally dies and we’ll never have to hear her voice ever again, although it’s still possible for her to return on a second season.
10. Hagorn will die, but not before repenting all his sins. I still want a redemption for him like he did in the original, for the sake of his daughter/s, and to finally let go of the hatred that has haunted him his whole life. ……………..
That’s all I can think of for now. Despite my predictions, I personally don’t have that high of an expectation for the ending. But it doesn’t hurt to hope (oh wait, it actually does. But whatever). Even with the crappy Book 2 story, I still would want to check out Season 2 should it push through. There’s still so much that could be done, so much potential untouched. This would be the perfect time for them to rest, meditate on it, and rethink a more fool-proof storyline and hopefully more world-building and character development.
Oh, and while they’re at it, hire better actors too. I don’t mind newbies, but at least give them time to do more workshop. The audience does not have enough patience to tolerate another “Ariana” in the story.

Like every new year, one of the main purposes that people set is to lose weight, but not all achieve it and give up their goal in a couple of months. In order not to “die” in the attempt, it is important to set short goals until achieving it. In this sense, of every 10 people seeking professional help, three achieve their goal, the rest throw it out halfway, he said. Erick Gutiérrez Soto, specialist in Nutrition of Hospital Clinic “Agosto 12” of ISSSTE, and of Ixcavit Spa Fitness, located in Aquiles Serdán 3002. He emphasized that to achieve this goal of having an ideal weight it is important be constant and even if you have laziness, follow your healthy diet and exercise. He recognized that for many people it is difficult to change their habits, so it is advisable to have short-term goals and achieve them. One of the tips that work and that I recommend to people is a motivating practice for example in a box or piggy bank deposit a certain amount for lost weight, and at the end of the goal you will not only have a saving but a change in your image and health. He said that in this walk it is good to go hand in hand with a professional to guide you in food and exercise, but also find an accomplice, that is, a friend in this adventure that motivates you when you want to “throw in the towel”. He indicated that something should be be very clear the person is not losing weight to go to the beach in summer, because it does not work well, you can not lose in a couple of weeks all the weight that was acquired in months or years, it requires a good food, exercise and discipline.

4R’s: Encantadia Season 2 (May 4, 2017 episode review)
Episode 207
Recap:
Haliyah’s Heartbreak
Emre and Cassiopeia went back to Haliyah’s lair and gave back the de-jar. Memories of the past came rushing back to Haliyah’s mind, and how the de-jar reminded her so much of her failed relationship. Haliyah fell in-love with an encantado, a fine Sapirian, she was very in-love with him that she let her weapon be placed under his care so that he’ll be able to go up in the moon to see her. Because Haliyah loved him too much, she gave him everything she has including her riches, one day, the man did not show up, puzzled and worried, Haliyah came down to Encantadia and saw a palace. A young couple with their infant daughter live in that palace, turned out, the husband was Haliyah’s lover (and the founder of Sapiro). The goddess was so heartbroken upon finding out that he was just using her all along and was infuriated that he chose the diwata over her, because of her anger, Haliyah cursed their daughter—that whoever stares at her beauty will turn into stone. Cassiopeia was surprised to hear this and knew that the child was Lila Sari, her adoptive daughter. Haliyah now realized what she did and regretted it. Nevertheless it was about time to return to Devas and find the cure to Ether’s poison. The evil goddess showed up and tried to stop them, through Haliyah’s help, Emre and Cassiopeia were able to get away which angered Ether, she vowed that in the end, she and Arde will succeed and will become the most powerful gods in Encantadia.
Sacrifice for love
The battle continued in Lireo, Mashna Muros, Aquil and Hitano teamed up and fought an Etherian army led by Juvila. The men were uncomfortable at fighting the female Mashna but Aquil reminded his comrades that she is an enemy and a strong and fierce warrior. The men joined forces and succeeded at taking down Juvila, the Mashna escaped, the battle continued but Aquil got hurt in the process. Despite of Aquil being demoted and downgraded, he earned Hitano’s respect and still sees him as Mashna which Aquil appreciated. However, he made Hitano promise that if anything happens to him, Hitano must relay his message for Danaya, that despite of everything, he still loves her very much.
The new guardians fought alongside Mashna Mayca and Rama Ybrahim, Pao Pao noticed that the two moons were turning red which is a bad omen in Encantadia. It sure was, for Asval showed up and was about to slash Ybrahim, but Ariana pushed him aside and ended up being wounded instead. Ybrahim fought Asval but the latter escaped, Ariana begged her friends not to tell Azulan about this for he will surely not allow her to fight anymore. Rama Ybrahim ordered to call for a babaylan. He asked her why Ariana did that, the latter knew Amihan wanted him safe, she confessed that eversince she was brought back from dead, she seems to be very different and has been seeing Amihan (and Ybrahim’s) past, Ariana strongly believes that she’s no longer herself, and that Amihan’s spirit is inside her body.
Hara Mine-a
The throne room was filled with vidaljes including Hagorn and Andora, the sang’gres showed up not long after, Andora was about to use her power but Danaya used her gem and literally shoved sand on her mouth, the battle was on. The sisters successfully took down Hagorn and Andora, a soldier approached Alena and told her where her mother was, Alena, Pirena and Danaya hurriedly went looking for Mine-a, the sisters found her at the armory with the wounded Imaw who apparently attempted to win Mine-a back to their side by telling her the truth, he ended up getting hurt in the hands of Mine-a herself. The sisters once again tried to persuade Mine-a, Hagorn came and tried to twist Mine-a’s mind and ordered her to kill them. Mine-a asked Hagorn why she must do the task when Hagorn has the gems and could easily eliminate the sang’gres, Hagorn did not give her an answer which opened Mine-a’s eyes and realized that she was indeed being used by Hagorn and the sang’gres were telling the truth—that she is their mother. Hagorn threatened to kill her but Mine-a chose to “kill” herself and at the same time cursed all of Lireo’s enemy.
Rave/s:
💛 Cheers to Danaya for making Andora eat some shit hahahahaha! Okay maybe not shit, but still, the way Andora choked that sand cracked me up. You da queen Dany! Also, shoutout to our Lireo hotties—Muros, Aquil and Hitano for that tag team against the queen of WWE Juvila, I thought that was hilarious but still worth the watch.
💎Aw…man! I wanted Marian to stay longer in the show, although I do believe it’s not the end of her story since she’s prolly gonna go back in Devas and gather back-ups and will return with team Devas by the the end of the show. There’s no questioning about Marian’s acting prowess, she commanded the entire show with such grace and powerful performance. Alsooo I’m still crossing my fingers that Aquil wouldn’t have the same fate as his original counterpart since it will suck big time. I think he has sacrificed so much and the dude deserves to be happy just like everybody else.
😭Have you guys seen the teaser for the next ep?! Oh my god the super twins are sooo going to be back, although I think it’s only going to be temporary since the baddies are definitely going to use them against the sang’gres. I have a theory that Lira and Mira will be used the way team Hagorn used Mine-a but will choose to be heroic in the end, and then they will return to Devas, Cassy will make Cassandra and then roll the credits. Whatever their mission is I still don’t think that it’s still necessary to kill their characters, it’s annoying how they kill one character and then bring her or him back to life again, like can’t they be on the verge of death and then their souls be like fight their destinies the way the original Amihan fought hers? That narrative is too repetitive and has been overused since book one. It seems like every major character is required to die first and then be brought back to life. Oh yes, it’s about time Mira meets her father. The cutie Lirean soldier and Alira Naswen are going to be back as well.
Rant/s: 🙄 I guess the biggest idiots for this week are Cassy and Emre, what the hell was the whole purpose of finding Haliyah’s weapon when they even failed to enter Devas and eliminate the baddies? Like they would have looked for the antidote first, then use Haliyah’s weapon and then return it to her, or Haliyah could at least accompany the two back in Devas so that there will be someone to defend them! God! Why are these gods so stupid?! It’s frustrating how everything seems too complicated when really the situation is not as complex as what they think. So the de-jar was retrieved and was returned to Haliyah, now what?! Wala nanamang silbi ganern? Haliyah ended up telling her failed relationship with a gold-digging bastard who turned out to be Lila Sari’s father (and the founder of Sapiro). I feel like two weeks is not enough to answer the many questions including the new ones that was brought up by this episode, it seems like monarchy in Sapiro has a long and complicated history. If Lila Sari’s parents died, then most probably a relative from Lila Sari’s father’s side prolly took over Sapiro who sired Meno, Armeo the first, and Asval (character reference: Etheria 2006) so most probably Lila Sari is like Ybrahim’s great, great grandma or something like that which makes Lira and Deshna some sort of distant relative, wow, this Lireo-Sapiro-Hathoria’s family tree is crazy.
🙄Pero hindi namatay ‘yung sarkosi punyeta! I really thought Ariana was going to die in this episode, ugh sayang! Sorry to say Ariana but you were never Amihan, she just made you take a glimpse of her past to tell Ybrahim that she has returned through you, but you are NEVER AND WILL NEVER BE AMIHAN! And Arra girl come on, ACT! Ruru is doing everything he can why can’t you do the same?! Kahit sa last two weeks man lang show us what you got, stop pulling off that bland, boring, pabebe face, I want to see an actress not a pretty face! Everyone’s bringing their A-games anyare sa’yo? Also I still don’t get what the hell are they trying to imply, Ariana was willing to sacrifice her own life for Ybrahim which is very Amihan-like (character-wise), but how come she didn’t feel the urge to save Lira given the fact that Amihan is willing to give up the entire Encantadia to save her daughter? Look, I don’t want to call Ariana this but I now do agree that she’s malandi (flirt)—“that’s what Amihan wants” my ass! Amihan also wants her daughter alive yet the bitch just watched her die, and I will forever be infuriated with that.

4R’s: Encantadia Season 2 (May 5, 2017 week-ender episode review)
Episode 208
Recap:
Amihan
The babaylans tended to Ariana’s wounds. Ybrahim was still puzzled over Ariana’s claims that Amihan is inside her body, Pao Pao strongly believes that Ariana was telling the truth. But Ybrahim chose not to believe it for there is only one Amihan, and if there is anything he’s hoping and waiting for that is for the real Amihan, his true love and his daughter to return.
A mother’s love
Being outnumbered and Mine-a choosing to attain a second death, Hagorn escaped. Mine-a already recognized her daughters and apologized for what happened. Pirena also grabbed the opportunity to close whatever conflict she and her mother had back then. Mine-a has already forgiven her and told her how much she loves her. Danaya extended her regards to Amihan in Devas but Mine-a revealed that Amihan is not there anymore and promised that the four of them will be reunited once again. Mine-a’s cursed ivtre vanished, but left behind a plant, which Imaw perceived as a symbol of Mine-a’s love for her daughters. The sisters decided to plant the tree and blessed it.
The Curse of Being A Sang’gre
Muros and Hitano came shortly after and informed about the deaths and the wounded soldiers including Aquil, Danaya was initially worried but was relieved when Hitano assured her that Aquil was only injured. Danaya immediately left, leaving Pirena stating how being a sang’gre is a curse, they are bound to do their duties first than following their hearts, Alena wondered if they too are going to end up like Mine-a, unfortunate when it comes to love. Danaya visited Aquil and used the earth gem to heal his wounds, Danaya admitted that she can tolerate not being with him as long as he stays alive and kissed him.
The Return of the Heiresses
Arde went to the room where Lira and Mira’s bodies were being kept, being the god of Balaak, he has the power to resurrect the dead. This was the very reason why Lira and Mira were brought back to life, the two were puzzled at first and were clueless as to who the creature was in front of them, but after hearing him speak, Lira recognized her—it was Arde. Before the two could escape, Arde captured them and brought them to Hagorn’s camp. Meanwhile, Juvila decided to retreat in battle after finding out that Hagorn was no longer in Lireo. Hagorn showed up, Asval searched for Andora but Hagorn revealed that the other Mashna was captured and is now imprisoned in Lireo, Asval initially wanted to help her but Hagorn stopped him for Arde brought them “gifts” that would be very useful to them.
Pirena visited Lira and Mira only to find out that their bodies were missing, even the guards were clueless. Pirena immediately went to Ybrahim and informed what happened to their daughters, they consulted Imaw’s cane and were surprised to find out that Lira and Mira has returned and were very much alive but was abducted by a creature who turned out to be Arde. Pirena and Ybrahim who were very eager to be with their daughters made an impulsive decision to attack Hagorn’s camp where Arde probably brought the diwanis. Alena stopped them and stressed that they should talk this over and come up with a plan if they don’t want to lose their children once again. Danaya was happy for Pirena and Ybrahim after finding out about Lira and Mira, however, she agreed to Alena’s suggestion. After all Hagorn will be the one to come to Lireo and make bargain, Imaw also took their side leaving Pirena and Ybrahim no choice but to follow them.
Lira and Mira were brought to Hagorn’s camp where they met Ether, Juvila, Hagorn and Asval. Lira was enraged after seeing her and Mira’s murderer but was chided by Hagorn and warned her to stop. Hagorn ordered to look for Deshna but the soldier told him that Deshna has already escaped, Lira laughed at Hagorn’s face for even his own daughter has ran away from him.
Deshna made it back it to Lireo and reunite with her friends, Pao Pao was puzzled as to how Deshna was able to get away and asked if Hagorn told her to go to Lireo.
Rave/s:
💜💗 THE COMEBACK IS REAL! Super twiiiins! I thought they’re going to save that scene for next week but they gave it to us tonight and I couldn’t be more happier right now. Question though, if Arde “dies” in that battle against Emre and Cassy, it is possible that Lira and Mira will die again as well right? What do you think? But anyhoo, glad that the bessies are back again and I hope these two stay until the finale of the show, I would want to see Mine-a finally meeting her granddaughters though, that would have been sweet. Na-miss ko ‘yung mga banat in Lira tbh, I really enjoyed the episode tonight, great job team! And it’s good that you brought them back.
💛Ugh! My DanQuil heart, no words, my heart will always bleed for you the same way my heart is still bleeding for YA 😭
💎Aside from Lira and Mira’s return, I think one of the best scenes in this episode was that scene between Mine-a and her daughters. That brought closure especially to Pirena and Mine-a’s conflict back then, anyhoo, that scene brought tears on my eyes. Mother’s love at it’s finest. Also holding on to that hint of Kylie, the real Amihan to return to the show, pleeeeease! Make this happen! I don’t want a sarkosi, I want the REAL one.
😈TORTURE ANDORA TO DEATH! That’s what I want, oh wait, that’s rated SPG, but who cares?! They should make her pay.
💚Ugh, Alena what will your sister do without you? Love the dynamics of Pirena and Alena’s contrasting personalities. Alena dousing off Pirena’s fiery personality and not to mention the mediator of the three. She’s more mature and is making more sense than her older sister. If there’s anything to rave about this season, it’s Alena’s characterization (except for her concept of first love never dies, she gotta move on ya know).
Rant/s:
🤔But what I don’t understand is that why didn’t Mine-a just tell them straight that Amihan has returned and is inside Ariana’s body?
🤔I’m sorry but I still don’t see the whole point of killing Lira and Mira if they’re going to be resurrected and be used against the diwatas to gain the gems. It seemed like the super twins’ deaths were like a trial and error to see how their ratings will go without them. Like seriously? Like I said before this killing and resurrecting thing is sooooo overused since book 1. Just how many times does Lira have to die?

Week-ender thoughts: It is clear to me now that Marian’s return is just an arc filler, as much as I hate to admit it, it is. I seriously think that if they are going to device a plot for Lira and Mira’s character developments and deaths, then they should have given the Mine-a’s return subplot to Lira and Mira. Kidnap the two, brainwash them and turn them against their parents, that would have been more painful for Pirena and Ybrahim. And maybe insert a character development for Ariana for her to remember who she really is in her past life, or give the new guardians mission to save the super twins? Then it’s going to be either the super twins are going to do the same thing as what Mine-a did and sacrifice themselves in the end and continue Lira and Mira’s adventures in the afterlife, maybe reunite with Kahlil and help him free the imprisoned ivtres in Devas, or heck maybe help Emre and Cassy with their ridiculously stupid quest to find Haliyah’s stupid weapon. Or simply, just let Lira and Mira find their way to be free from Ether’s spell and return to team Lireo. Anything but the die-and-live-again pattern. Their story reminds me of Son Goku where he died a couple of times and returned a couple of times. 🙄
The de-jar’s purpose was to make Emre and Cassy’s travel to Devas faster and that was just about it, if the weapon is oh-so-powerful, then Emre shouldn’t have returned it to Haliyah yet. The moment they set foot on Devas he and Cassy should have searched for the antidote first, fight Ether’s forces using the de-jar, and return it to Haliyah and listen to her who-knows-how-many-years-old heartbreak story. The sequence of the episodes this week is kind of confusing like, why the hell would Emre and Cassiopeia return to Encantadia and return the weapon to Haliyah when they already made it to Devas?

4R’s: Encantadia Season 2 (March 24, 2017 week-ender episode review)
Episode 180
Recap:
E correi diu, Avisala meiste: Gilas and Mira
The seven decided to call it a night.
Strange at how Ariana helped Lira take off her training gears and started to act motherly towards her, it made Lira a bit uncomfortable but also appreciated Ariana’s gestures. Not long after they dozed off, Luna woke up, Lira sensed it and talked to the former. Luna still wanted answers, about who she really was. Danaya mentioned before that she is a diwata with a Hathorian blood and held on to the promise that the queen will tell her everything after their training. Luna asked if Lira knows anything but the latter also had no idea, Lira knew Luna was longing for a mother, something which Lira understood perfectly. Lira told her that she once longed for her mother as well, and the struggles she went through just to be with her, in the end, she found her mother and her father as well. The amazing part? She came from the other world but was still able to reunite with her family, this comforted Luna, friendship between the two blossomed.
Ariana woke up and saw Lira feeling cold, Ariana decided to give her blanket to Lira but the latter refused for it will be Ariana who would have none to keep herself warm, the two agreed to share the same bed (with Luna) and blanket. Once again, Amihan struck Lira’s memory as the two drifted off.
From afar, Mira was watching Lireo. Mira wondered if she could visit the kingdom and her mother, Muyak told her that Cassiopeia created a spell to prevent her and Lira from using their ivictus but assured Mira that Muyak will accompany her back to Pirena once their training is over. Lights were out, everyone was in deep slumber, it was time for the Mashnas to do their job. Wantuk was the first to find out that there were vidaljes in the island, both he and Imaw were defenseless, upon hearing Wantuk’s scream, the seven woke up, and immediately armed themselves, they tried defending the camp, but Pao Pao was taken down, Luna got injured and Gilas got killed, everyone watched in horror as Gilas succumbs to death. Lira and Mira used their ivictus to escape but the island was enchanted thus preventing them from leaving the place. The trainees regrouped but were found by Asval and Andora, Lira told Pao Pao, Muyak, and Ariana to take Luna to safety while she and Mira faced two of Avria’s Mashnas. Lira and Mira joined forces, but their strengths combined was still no match to Andora’s power, the cousins were unable to move. Asval pointed his blade at Lira, the latter was expecting to be stabbed but being fully aware of Lira’s power, Asval stabbed Mira from behind instead. This terrified Lira and caught Mira just before the latter hits the ground, Lira told her to hold on and promised she will save her. Mira knew her death was near and wanted Lira to live, so that she’ll be able to relay her message to Pirena—that Mira loves her very much and she’s sorry for everything she said to her back then. Andora and Asval weren’t done and was about to kill Lira but Andora was surprised that she couldn’t even lay a finger on Lira, she has protection against weapons, a blessing given to her by Danaya back when Lira was still a baby. Lira used her magic to defend herself and Mira, but Andora simply used her power and froze Lira’s body, Asval quickly got Mira and made Lira see how Asval slit Mira’s throat thus ending her life.
The four other trainees got away from Asval and Andora thanks to Mira and Lira, Luna was still suffering from her wound but was more determined to avenge Gilas. Muyak suggested to split into two groups so that the enemies will have a hard time catching them, an idea which Pao Pao disagreed but was left behind with Luna. Amarro and Lila Sari found them, Luna recognized them and got angry especially towards Lila Sari despite of the latter showing concern. Pao Pao tried to defend himself and Luna but Amarro told them that they weren’t enemies and let him and Luna escape. Though Amarro and Lila Sari did was the right thing, they were still worried of what will happen if the others find out.
The Darkness Returns
Avria’s disguise was discovered, thus she could no longer pretend to be Danaya. The real Danaya was back to her original form and immediately went back to Lireo. What puzzled the sisters is that, how come the fire gem wasn’t able to recognize the real Danaya and the fake one made it easily to Lireo, Pirena confessed that it was her fault for taking back the protective spell against Avria, but they have bigger problems, the three other gems were now in Avria’s hands. The sang’gres and Hara-Durye went to the gems chamber and found out how Avria stole the gems. Danaya blamed herself for believing in Avria, but every ruler makes mistake and that they should learn from it, it wasn’t the time for regrets, they have to act quickly to take back the three other gems.
Alena, Cassiopeia and Danaya went back from the chamber, Aquil was also present and was wearing his armor once again. Alena sensed that Aquil and Danaya both need to talk and decided to give them space. Danaya revealed that it was her fault that Lireo is once again in jeopardy, it was because she chose to meet the fake Aquil and that meeting gave Avria the opportunity to carry out her evil plans. Danaya realized that this is the very reason why a queen shouldn’t fall in-love, because it is a weakness. Danaya decided to end everything she and Aquil has, and chose to fulfill her duties as Queen of Lireo.
Avria knew anytime the diwatas will declare war against Etheria, thus Avria had to act quicker. Using a powerful incantation, she created a gigantic, ferocious beast, and now everyone is in danger, no one is safe.
Rave/s:
💗 Until the very end, Kate proved that she IS Sang’gre Mira. Brave, smart, but very gentle and loving. My heart is breaking once again, but performance wise, Kate nailed this scene. She and Mikee actually, it was so heartbreaking and so frustrating that Mira didn’t even had the chance to at least see her mother in Lireo for the last time.
💜 Liraaaaa! Lemme give you a hug. You and Kate are the reason why I still hold on to the show (of course Ruru is still there so…), but I gotta say, girl, you really can do drama. Versatility is definitely a must for every actor and actress and she has it, she made me cry, she made me laugh, and even though I have to admit Lira’s annoying sometimes, I still love every bit of Mikee and Lira. Do you think Mira’s death will push Lira to use her avatar once again? Let me know your thoughts!
💛 Another performance worth raving for, SanRoc! That scene killed me as well, so many feels in one scene. Love that Rocco and Sanya really grew into such great actors in this show. Definitely looking forward for more Rocco and Sanya projects after Enca.
Rant/s: 😭 They killed Mira…THEY FUCKIN’ KILLED MIRA.
🤔 I was really alarmed that Cassiopeia didn’t even think of the guardians, she just slipped and told Avria about where the seven were and I was expecting that she’ll return to the island and at least bring them back to Lireo but NOOOO! I am so annoyed right now, they were just at the beginning of their training but they already lost two (and one of them is Mira, MIRA!), I wanted to yell, “Hey! You have trainees left in the island aren’t you going to go back?” it’s not like Imaw and Wantuk are capable of defending themselves and even if Mira has Emre’s sword and Lira has powers it still wouldn’t be enough to defend all of them since majority of the group are inexperienced. If Lira dies as well, I am so done. I mean come on, Ybrahim already lost a child once, he also lost the love of his life, and now Lira? The hell!
🙄 Cassiopeia created a spell to prevent the trainees from escaping the island yet did not even think of creating a barrier for protection just in case, I know she was pretty confident that no one will ever find out where they are, come on you don’t have to be super smart to actually come up with this idea.
🤔 If I am not mistaken Danaya granted Lira protection against any weapon or magic, but I am still wondering, how come Hagorn was still able to kill Lira in both 2005 and 2016 version? How come Lira was affected by Andora’s power? Please don’t tell me she hasn’t learned how to utilize that blessing up to this date, it will be pretty much dumb of her not to think of it, or is it because the earth gem is now in the hands of Avria which kind of weakened Lira’s protection? But still, what about in book 1 where Lira was almost killed a number of times and the earth gem was still under Danaya’s watch? Isn’t it an obvious plot hole?

Week-ender thoughts: So-so to dreadful set of episodes this week. Although I’m quite relieved that the Danaya impostora arc wasn’t prolonged, it still wouldn’t change the fact that I hate everything in the week-ender episode, not that I’m not satisfied with the performance of the cast—nope, Cassiopeia fucked up and I don’t know if it ever crossed her mind, or if she has other plans, or whatever, Mira died and I am so affected and I hate, hate, hate this. Is Lira going to die too? I don’t know, but one thing is for sure, I am definitely NOT looking forward for next week’s set of episodes.

4R’s: Encantadia Season 2 (May 12, 2017 week-ender episode review)
Episode 213
Recap:
The search for Cassiopeia
While Arde was asleep, the brainwashed guards seized the opportunity and attacked Arde. Being a god, he has sharp senses and easily killed every Hadezar who attempted to murder him, he interrogated one soldier, the latter revealed that they were ordered by Ether to kill him. Arde did not believe at first but the soldier insisted that it really was Ether who told them to do it which angered Arde. Arde has the power to breathe life or death to anyone and can also inflict pain and cure any encantado, this was the very reason why Emre made him god of Balaak (Underworld). But he has one weakness—Ether, he is very much in-love with Ether to the point that he was willing to do anything for her. A weakness Cassiopeia used to succeed with her mission.
Ether went to the dungeon where Alira Naswen and Gamil were chained, she interrogated the two about Cassiopeia’s whereabouts but both did not give her any answers. To threaten and make them spill the beans, Ether summoned her “pets” and filled the entire room with venomous snakes, Gamil was bitten and succumbed to “death” shortly after, but Ether has quite a fascinating way of making Alira and Gamil admit—she brought the latter back to life but will suffer the same fate over and over again: get bitten, die and re-live, this cycle will continue until Alira and Gamil finally give her all the information she needs. Being not able to withstand the pain they will suffer in the future, Gamil surrendered and revealed that Hara-Durye was indeed inside the palace.
This calls for war
Aquil thanked Danaya for telling him everything he needs to know. Danaya expressed how relieved she was to know that Aquil has fully recovered, Aquil was surprised that Danaya still cares about him and would have hugged her if it weren’t for Danaya’s status.
Alena, Hitano and Muros were tasked by Danaya to meet Hagorn to relay the Hara’s message: the cure to Lira and Mira’s disease or a war Hagorn will never forget. Alena warned Hagorn that if he does not hand them over the antidote they will send a large army of Lirean soldiers and even Sapiro’s remaining warriors and use the three gems, the most powerful weapons they own such as Lira and Mira’s swords, Mine-a’s scepter, Adhara and Imaw’s staffs to eliminate the remaining forces of Hagorn including his generals. Alena gave him time to think it over until the next day. The trio returned to Lireo and told everyone what happened, if ever Hagorn refused to surrender the antidote, then the kingdom must prepare once again to go to war against Hagorn’s forces. Mashna Mayca pledged to help in order to protect Sapiro until death, Ybrahim’s kingdom was willing to fight. The Mashnas of Sapiro and Lireo prepared their army in battle. Deshna secretly left the palace after the meeting, along the way she bumped into Amarro and Lila Sari, mother and daughter were reunited once again. Deshna however was going somewhere to “visit” a friend, Lila Sari didn’t allow her to go but chose to in the end after Amarro made her promise that she will return safely, Deshna told the two to return to Lireo for the diwatas have been waiting for them.
Asval knew the diwatas were testing Hagorn, but he was also worried that they might lose in this war knowing that Lireo has stronger forces—having two Queens, one king and not to mention they have more generals, their army is much larger than Hagorn’s. The latter sent a message to Devas to ask for Ether and Arde’s help, Ether got his message and ordered Arde to go down to Encantadia and help him. However, Arde has been acting strange which was noticed by Ether, Arde was giving hints of his suspicions towards Ether, the latter being oblivious to what was happening to him, she shunned him away.
Arde went down to Encantadia and appeared before Hagorn, the latter was expecting that Arde will give him a large army of Hadezars but was surprised and confused as to why Arde has been acting strange and even ordered him to hand over the antidote to Lira and Mira. He was no longer interested at the war against the diwatas and Hagorn noticed that Arde seems to be helping the vidaljes instead. Hagorn wasn’t going to make things easy for the diwatas and refused to follow Arde’s order, for it is their only chance of winning against the diwatas, he tried calling for Ether’s help instead. But something unexpected happened, Deshna appeared and apologized to Hagorn, expressing her desire to return to his side. Hagorn believed her and welcomed her back, and when Hagorn’s guard was down, Deshna stabbed Hagorn which shocked and pained the latter. Deshna wanted to put Hagorn’s evil schemes to an end which is why she decided to kill Hagorn herself, the latter dared Deshna to end his life and when Deshna was about to give him the final blow, Hagorn suddenly stabbed her, twice, pain and bitterness were painted all over Hagorn’s face as he watched his own daughter perish.
Rave/s:
💎Wow, that’s some shocking twist. I wasn’t really expecting that it would be Deshna because I was praying that it was going to be Ariana, but whatever. But that scene where Hagorn painfully killed his own daughter was fuckin’ priceless! Damn Haggy, that shit was shocking. But then again, he’s Hagorn what was I expecting? But John Arcilla killed that last gap and owned the episode tonight!
Rant/s:
🤔 Is being born to a noble clan a curse in Encantadia? It’s kind of annoying and repetitive that every royal blood in Enca is meant to die prematurely. Starting from Arvak, Raquim and Armeo, Mine-a, Kahlil, Amihan, Lira and Mira and now Deshna. Can’t y’all just kill Ariana instead? Amihan’s ivtre has been suffering long enough she deserves to be free.
🤔Ugh! I am so annoyed that they just thought of using their other powerful weapons just now. Like they could have used that earlier this season, then tapos! Hirap kasi they are being too dependent on their gems that I am starting to appreciate the original trilogy more. Going back to Etheria 2006 when the four sang’gres didn’t have any gems to rely on while time traveling to Ancient Encantadia, I love how their characters built up and learned how to utilize whatever they have in order to make it through. That season just made the sang’gres stronger, smarter and more powerful which is why I consider the original sang’gres much better than the new version.

Week-ender thoughts: So far so good this week, I enjoyed almost every episode except of course with the fact that they just turned Lira and Mira into mere scene fillers is just annoying af, and although I am not a huge fan of Deshna, these dying of the new generation of leaders is just sooooo overused.

Episode 159
Recap:
Lira’s frustrations
Ether appeared before Pirena, Danaya and Ybrahim and created a whirlwind to keep them from attacking Etheria and left the three of them. Ybrahim and Danaya used the air and earth gems to free themselves from the whirlwind and landed safely on the ground. Muros returned from his fight with Amarro, the Mashna got knocked out but was fine nevertheless. The four went back to Lireo where the younger sang’gres Lira and Mira were waiting for them, Mira was relieved that they were safe, but Lira resented the elders for not letting her and Mira join the battle which would have increased their chances to win against Ether’s forces. This resulted to a heated argument between her and the elders especially her Ashti Hara Danaya, Lira bitterly walked out. Pirena also asked if Mira feels the same which the young sang’gre admitted and even got into a misunderstanding between her and her mother as well.
Ybrahim followed Lira and expressed how he disliked the way Lira acted towards her Ashtis. Lira was getting frustrated at how the elders seem to treat both her and Mira like kids, their overprotectiveness, and how they seem to not trust her and Mira, this only made Lira wish her mother was there, for it was only Amihan who never treated her the way everyone treats her, she was the only one who trusted her. Lira admitted she still miss her mother so much, it was evident that she’s still hurting and couldn’t accept her mother’s death even after all these years. Ybrahim explained his side, that he didn’t want Lira to get hurt which was why he’s overprotective, and like her, he still misses Amihan and he always think about her every single day, and like Lira, Ybrahim is still hoping to see Amihan once again.
Meanwhile, Danaya ordered Muros to find Hitano and tell him about Lila Sari, Aquil came and was baffled at Danaya’s sudden cold behavior towards him. Danaya told him about what she just found out and didn’t want to talk to him until Aquil is ready to tell her the truth.
The gamble
Mira went to Lira’s room after the latter’s argument with her father and knew that her cousin still wasn’t okay. Lira realized one thing though, Ybrahim still hasn’t moved on like her, Mira advised to do something rather than just be upset about it. Lira remembered the onion-looking man who helped her when Ether turned her into a pashnea and thought that maybe he could also help them bring back Amihan. Mira was skeptical about it, if Evades could do something about it, he would have already done it, still Lira wanted to know if there is a possibility and decided to leave with Mira. The two went to Evades, the latter told them that his magical tree is unable to raise the dead, unless he or she will eat one of the fruits from the mother tree in Devas and be reincarnated, that was the only way and nothing else.
In Devas, Amihan saw how Ybrahim and Lira still longed for her and seeing this broke her heart, all this time she thought they will be able to forget her but she was wrong. Somehow she regretted her choice to die without even thinking about them, this made Amihan want to return to Encantadia for her family, and the only way to do that is to pick a fruit from the mother tree and eat it, something which Ades strongly disagreed and reminded her of the possible consequences, she will be reborn to a different life and she will have no recollection of her past, she will forget everything—even her loved ones, and her family won’t be able to recognize her as well. Emre said before that Amihan is now free to create her own destiny, and her desire to be with her family is much stronger than anything else, she has faith with Ybrahim and Lira’s love for her and knew that their hearts will be able to recognize her. Despite all of these, Ades still wanted Amihan to think about it and hoped that she will change her mind, Emre appeared and told Ades to let Amihan choose the path she wants to take, despite of the consequences, Amihan has made up her mind, she will take risk for her loved ones. Emre let Amihan pick a fruit and ate it.
…and the queen has risen
Ether was disappointed at how Andora and the rest were unable to defeat their enemies, Amarro admitted that the diwatas are still more powerful compared to them. Lila Sari was getting worried and asked if there is another way to speed up Avria’s return, Ether confirmed that there is, but they will be needing a blood sacrifice. They picked one from their captives and used her blood to help Avria recover faster, but it wasn’t enough, so Ether used her own blood as well. Through this they were able to raise Avria from the dead, like Amarro and Asval, Avria was no longer an ivtre, but a living, lethal encantada.
Rave/s:
💙 HA! I GUESSED IT RIGHT! This is the story they came up for Amihan’s character. If you are asking if I am disappointed, actually I am not. Probably because I have seen this one coming, and I was already expecting it. Yes I was mad as hell when I found out about the possibility of replacing Kylie in the show, Yes I am still bummed that Kylie won’t be a part of the show at least for now, I am frustrated that my ship turned into a fuckin’ submarine that’s swimming like a mermaid underwater, but guys, this is not about Kylie, it’s about AMIHAN. If you have been following me you already know by now that I have been a huge fan of Amihan since 2005 and I have grown to love her character more because of Kylie and kudos to her for portraying the character so well. But guys, honestly I would rather go for this route than not having Amihan for good. It’s bad enough that Kylie won’t be a part of the show anymore, but it will become way worse than not having Amihan around just because the actress can no longer play the character because of her current condition. I have been reading some of SD’s tweets and I get that she’s getting frustrated at people bombarding her with hate tweets thus her feisty responses to the fans. I can’t blame the fans either because I myself admit was one of the very frustrated encantadik who ranted so much about this when the news about Kylie’s pregnancy spread like wildfire, and I just had the worst feeling ever when she herself confirmed it. But during her interview I saw how happy she was, and I realized that this is not the end for Kylie, life has so much to offer and I am genuinely happy for her. I will always remember Kylie as Amihan and Iza’s successor, but at this point guys, we should also listen to the Enca team’s side—if they choose to keep Kylie that would mean risking herself and the baby. Remember they are shoot to air, they are exposed to injuries and accidents because of fight scenes, they lack sleep and rest most of the time because they have to finish the scenes on a given time frame, and it is not good for someone who is pregnant to be exposed to such harsh working environment. If anything happens to Kylie the entire team will be held responsible and will get all the hate and be blamed at the end of the day. Amihan is a major character, tell me honestly guys: would you settle for having Kylie around and turn Amihan into a minor character just to lessen Kylie’s exposure? I for one did mention before that I would settle for that, but I never said that I will be a hundred percent satisfied with that. And even if there will be some sort of an “acceptable” mi ultimo adios between YbraLiraMihan which would have been fine as well, admit it: it’s not the same without Amihan, Encantadia is not Encantadia without Amihan. SD chose to keep Amihan, let’s be happy about that, she wrote Amihan’s story the best way she can to preserve the character and I truly appreciate that. Aside from that, I honestly think that this is an interesting sub plot so please YA before you flood the Enca team’s social media with hate posts, look into the story and give it a chance—Amihan is a mother, she’ll do anything for her family, and remember her promise? She will come back and this is it, she’s taking the risk just for Ybrahim and Lira, isn’t this something admirable? Knowing the consequences she might face, she still chose to gamble for the man she loves and their daughter who has been longing for her, come on seriously! You guys gave that chance to Kylie before why can’t you do the same now? Just give this story chance, as for the new Amihan, I don’t know who she will be but I wish her the best of luck, fingers crossed that they chose the right actress.
💜 Lira is definitely one of the most relatable characters in Encantadia, and I am really enjoying how Mikee is portraying the character in such a way that everybody will sympathize with her. Lira is always known to be carefree, playful, and the one who lights up the mood in the show, but one thing that lacked is the more serious side of Lira, what is she really thinking? What does she truly feels? How does it feel to be bound to follow orders all the time and everybody treating you like a kid when you’re already a grown up, how shitty does it feel not to be “trusted” by your own family? We all have our fair share of experiences in this situation and I’m just glad that Lira’s character continues to embody the youth of this generation. And yeah, her father and daughter team up with Ruru is on point as well. As always.
Rant/s: 😪 Danaya bessy naman eh! I think it’s unfair for Danaya to treat Aquil harshly I mean come on, even you Danaya? Girl, as queen you can’t just make judgement based on what you heard from someone—this is what’s lacking with Danaya’s character, giving the benefit of the doubt is not her forte, she should have listened to Aquil’s side and then make judgement.

Episode 146
Recap:
Oath of the gods
Emre has proven that he is still the most powerful god, he won against Ether and demanded to take back the curse she bestowed upon Pirena, Emre also made Ether swear that she will leave and never harm anyone in Encantadia again. Ether took back the curse and made an oath that she will stay away from now on unless there will be someone out there who will turn greedy and hungry for power just like Hagorn, then she will return and rebuild her kingdom. Ether warned Emre to make sure each and every encantado will be guided well, Ether bid farewell to her archenemy for now.
Cassiopeia noticed that the remains of the Old Etheria seemed to be devoured by the earth, Emre came down and told Cassiopeia that he has succeeded in defeating Ether, and as a diwata who is going through a lot to be deity like Emre, the latter uplifted the curse he bestowed upon Cassiopeia and was now free to go back to Lireo, for Cassiopeia has a mission to fulfill.
A daughter’s prayer, a mother’s promise
Ybrahim informed the sang’gres about the strange occurrence he witnessed and had a strong feeling that there was a battle happening in the heavens, Imaw could only pray that this wouldn’t affect Encantadia, the war with the Hathors has just ended and they were still mourning for Pirena’s death. Ybrahim pitied Mira, for she and Lira must have the same fate as they were now sharing the same pain of losing their mothers. Later on, everyone in Lireo noticed that the retres were all leaving, and by some miracle, Pirena suddenly woke up as if she never died and even got angry that her sisters seemed to be mourning for her. They thought she was dead, something which Pirena also do not understand for she knew dying was inevitable because she broke the deal she made with Ether. Whatever the reason why she escaped death, Mira was just glad that her mother is alive and well. For the first time, Pirena felt her daughter’s love and acceptance.
Pirena’s resurrection has also made Lira hope for her mother’s return, she prayed to Emre to let Amihan come back. Amihan saw how Lira longed for her and this also made her eager to return to Encantadia, Emre returned and told Amihan and Kahlil that he succeeded and brought Pirena back to life. As much as she was thankful for what Emre did for her sister, she also made another request to let her and Kahlil go back to Encantadia, for Amihan left a daughter who longs for her and needs her, something which Emre cannot grant for now, unlike Pirena who only died because of a curse, Amihan and Kahlil’s cases were different for they were killed and has become ivtres, there is no cure for that. Emre told Amihan that her absence will lead Lira to discover many things and will learn a lot more without her mother by her side, but he assured both Amihan and Kahlil that he will let them return when the right time comes. A tearful Amihan regretted that she won’t be with Lira for now, but promised that she will come back for her.
A lesson from regrets
Ybrahim was still heartbroken over his loss, he lost a son, and he also lost the woman he loves. Ybrahim regretted not telling Amihan how much he loves her sooner and told Aquil not to make the same mistake. Aquil knew that, that’s why he already confessed his love for Danaya and was very glad that she accepted his marriage proposal. Ybrahim was happy for Aquil.
The New Queen of Lireo
Cassiopeia went to Lireo which surprised the sang’gres, Cassiopeia told them that she was now free from Emre’s curse. Aside from that Cassiopeia warned the sang’gres of the possibility of Ether’s return, thus they have to do something while they still have time, and they should start from fulfilling Amihan’s last will that Danaya has been keeping. Everyone including Ybrahim and the Sapirians gathered in Lireo to find out what Amihan has written in her last will. Imaw read it aloud to everyone, about Amihan letting Danaya be the air gem’s new keeper and also Danaya succeeding Amihan to be the new queen of Lireo, something which shocked everyone, Pirena thought it’s going to be either Lira or Mira. Alena agreed with Amihan’s decision, for the diwani’s weren’t ready for such huge responsibility. Ybrahim reminded Danaya that once she takes over the throne, she will no longer have freedom to marry and have a family of her own. Being a loyal sister to Amihan, Danaya chose to ascend the throne, just what Amihan wanted which broke Aquil’s heart.
Aquil was saddened that his plan of marrying Danaya will not push through, but Danaya told him that she loves him very much, Aquil already knew that but was also fully aware that she loves Lireo more. It was something to be admired of, but it was also unfortunate for Aquil. Now that Danaya has become queen, Aquil chose to leave the palace, but in case Danaya needs his help, Aquil will be glad to cooperate. Danaya and Aquil ended whatever they have.
Raves:
❤ Yay! Welcome back Piry! I knew her death was just temporary that’s why I wasn’t really worried. I kinda wish that Glaiza wore her original Pirena royal costume for it suites her better than the new one, because that new costume is a reminder of how evil she was back then, plus her original costume was way more Lirean-ish.
💙💜 My gosh! I really miss seeing Amihan and Lira together, but this scene reminds me of Lira and Cassandra in Enca 3 back in 2006 when Cassandra was also longing for her mother, and Lira doing everything she can to go back to Encantadia to be with her daughter. It’s like this. Will this mean that Cassandra and Lira will have a different story? Or will Cassandra be born to a different mother? I’m curious. Ay waaiiiiit! Lira journeying back to Devas in the next ep’s teaser to see her mother once again is also the same as Cassandra’s, does this mean that the writers decided to include a part of Cassandra’s story to Lira’s? Are they merging Lira and Cassandra in one character? And will Lira be the key to Etheria’s rise once again instead? What do you think beshies?
💛💂 Sheeeet! My DanQuil heart, what the fuck is happening to my ships?! First MirThony, then YbraMihan, and now DanQuil 😭 at least Aquil didn’t die. I guess being a queen is a curse after all but damn Sanya, how do you keep a straight face despite being heartbroken?!
💎 This episode is like the epilogue of Encantadia season 1, a new season will unfold and it will start at Lira and Mira’s adventure and I am so excited because I’ve been wanting to see this for almost twelve years! I do have some theory of what’s gonna happen, but I can’t tell you guys yet, it’s too early to spill and this is only the first episode for the week. 😂
Rant:
🤔 Why can’t Emre just banish Ether or lock her up or whatever? That way encantados won’t have to worry about her coming back.
