That's all for this post, I'm not listing vocabulary in any particular order, I am quite literally just dumping vocab off the top of my head until the post seems long enough. There are nuances and exceptions that I don't really know how to convey in some circumstances, because to me they seem natural since to some extent as I was raised surrounded by the Welsh language. These posts weren't intended for people to learn Welsh from, but if you're already learning and have other resources for grammar, mutations, pronunciation, etc. these may be helpful. Germain retreated inward. He tried to separate himself, drown out everything as he hid himself in his own head, but that simply wasn’t possible. Voices rose, Shinjuku, Frank, Bian all shouting. Lives were on the line. The endless stimuli and his own nagging conscience chained him to this discussion he truly just wanted to ignore. He looked down, afraid that if he locked eyes with anyone he’d be dragged into the conversation involuntarily, and he’d say the wrong thing. 

Pettiwhisker, seemingly detecting some of his distress, hopped off the desk and curled up in his lap as he shivered, looking up at him with expecting eyes. They knew what was on his mind.

He looked at Frank again, wincing at his outburst. Even as exhausted as he was, he couldn’t hide the pity in his eyes. His voice, however, was uncommonly firm.

“F-Frank… this isn’t a-about some v-vendetta. You admitted yourself, there’s r-reasons to be suspicious of you. Do you honestly b-believe that all this is b-because people d-don’t like you? P-Please, stop p-pretending everyone’s your e-enemy.”

“If Perry was a-attacked, we d-don’t know what t-time. I th-thought… m-maybe, the gaps b-between the b-blood on the wall c-could’ve been f-from someone helping her. B-But…” He made a soft whining noise. “S-Sorry. I d-don’t know. I c-can’t think of anything c-conclusively showing anyone in the r-room either.”

Manami’s math was right. If that was the situation, then no one would die. There was hope. Trust in the humanity of these people they’d known for less than two weeks. Germain quietly let out a relieved sigh when Avery protested to that line of reasoning, as they shared their reasoning. 

“What A-Avery s-said. If you’re g-going to say it was an a-accident, p-please, do it b-because you believe that’s what h-happened. Because if you’re t-taking a g-gamble on some ideal like t-trust, that’s a-all our lives you’re g-gambling. And… it’s n-not fair to do that on a Hail M-Mary.” 

He grimaced. He’s said too much again. He didn’t even know if anyone was actually doing that - and if they were, who was he to stop them? 

“S-Sorry, I’m just s-scared - it m-makes sense, I th-think, b-but…j-just… p-please. S-Sorry.” He’d started to move forward in his seat, but shrank back again. He truly didn’t know what he thought at this point, trying to fill in the gaping void in this case. He truly wasn't cut out for this.

so i dont have much to do on my days off so i decided to try and translate the runes that were in Tot Musica. i was at this for about 4 hours? lol.  but anyway. I know theres lyrics of the song that has the runes translated with their corresponding letter. for example:  ᚷ would be the letter G (Gifu),  ᚨ would be the letter A (Ansuz) and  ᚺ would be the letter H(Hagalaz); so the lyrics for the first set of runes in the song show like: ᚷᚨᚺ ᛉᚨᚾ ᛏᚨᚲ ᚷᚨᚺ ᛉᚨᚾ ᛏᚨᛏ ᛏᚨᛏ ᛒᚱᚨᚲ gah zan tak, gah zan tat tat brak which is how its sung.. but each letter/rune is its own word like i had put in parenthesis above.  Gifu -> Gift Ansuz-> elder voice/voice of wisdom(something along these lines) Hagalaz -> hail.

the next section, the letter Z is Algiz -> protection, A is once again Ansuz (voice of elder), N is Nied, which coincidentally is “need”. so maybe a loose translation of that could be “were in danger and we dont know from what/need to be enlighted as to what.”   Tak- T is Tiwaz - victory/leadership. Ansuz again(voice), K is Kenaz (gradual learning/betterment) “show us the way so that we may learn” Tat- Tiwaz-Ansuz-Tiwaz. (victory, voice of wisdom, victory). “lead us so that we may go forth” Brak being the last word of the first line - B is Berkana (healing/relationships/family), R is Raido (ride/journey). Ansuz(voice), K is Kenaz(signifying steady betterment). ᛗᛁᛖ ᚾᛖᚷ ᛟᚾ ᚷᛁᛖᚲ ᚷᛁᛖ is your next line in the middle of the song. mie neg on giek giek M is Mannaz(essentially “mankind”. can also stand for groups/tribes/kinships.) I is Isa(ice. usually denotes that something is unchanging). E is Ehwaz(taking a journey within oneself. denotes changes within ones being. personal exchange) Neg- N is Nied(need), E- Ehwaz(personal exchange), G- Gifu(gift). maybe a gift is being exchanged for some form of personal growth) On -> O is Othala (legacy. often in the sense of ones rightful place in and because of ones lineage/heritage and the benefits/detriments thereof) N-Nied(need) Giek- Gifu(gift), Isa(ice), Ehwaz(personal exchange), Kenaz(torch) maybe this denotes knowledge/skill/grown gained, but that which is gained gradually overtime. ᚾᚨᚺ ᛈᚺᚨᛋ ᛏᛖᛉᛉᛖ ᛚᚨᚺ is the last bit of rune. nah phas tezze lah N-Nied(need), Ansuz(voice of wisdom), Hagalaz (hail) something that happens/bad or out your control. Tezze- T is Tiwaz(victory/purpose/sacrifice/fight), Ehwaz(personal exchange).  Ehwaz-algiZ-algiZ-Ehwaz. Algiz is almost exclusively the rune of protection and safety. A quiet place where he dreams to take you one day.

He has such a high tolerance for pain and often says “ow” just to feel like he’s just your normal husband- nothing demonic about him!

Sokka will worship every inch of his s/o no question, but he’s got a particular affinity for his s/o’s hands. This boy just loves to hold hands; he’ll do so every chance he gets. Sokka can be a little arrogant and stubborn, so sometimes, this can lead to strain between Sokka and his s/o. Usually, fights involve around Sokka being a little protective of his s/o; he has faith in them, but he’d hate for them to be needlessly reckless. Fights are pretty standard, shouting back and forth, but Sokka would never throw things and would never lay a hand on his s/o. When it is clear to him that he can’t get through to his s/o, he’ll excuse himself to go take a walk and clear his head. He’ll come back cooled down and more willing to see his s/o’s point of view.

Handmade gifts, 100%. We all know Sokka has an interest in art, and so he is always surprising his s/o with hand-carved trinkets, beaded bracelets, and cute little drawings. Ember Island! Sokka heard all about it from Zuko and has wanted to take a trip there for a while. It’s nice and relaxing and romantic at first, but pretty soon word gets out and the Gaang crashes the honeymoon. He releases his frustrations by absolutely stomping everyone in a beach volleyball game.

Sokka sometimes worries that someone bigger and better will come along and steal his s/o out from under him. This makes him try to overcompensate sometimes, which can grate his s/o. It takes some occasional reassurance and sweet-talking to ease Sokka’s insecurities. He wants his s/o to be happy, but secretly he’s a little selfish and wants his s/o to be happy with him.

J-      Jealousy: Is this character the jealous type? How do they deal with being jealous?

Oh, yeah. Sokka gets jealous. If he and his s/o are out and his s/o is just so radiant that they catch someone else’s attention, he is going to be so sore about it. Sokka is grumpy and clingy when he’s jealous. He’ll be all over his s/o, hugging and kissing them and following them around like a lost puppy. It’s endearing, honestly. When his s/o gets a little annoyed with his clinginess, he’ll just bat his pretty eyes and croon about how much he loves them, and it’s kinda hard to be irritated with him when he’s just so dang adorable.

Sokka is totally the type to obsess over the “right” moment. He’ll plan it in meticulous detail, setting it up around a romantic date, but when the moment comes, he’ll get super flustered. He’ll blush bright red and just stare at his s/o’s mouth like it’s an unsolvable puzzle. Eventually, when questioned, he’ll bashfully admit that he wants to kiss them. He’s a lot smoother during the actual act; it’s a super sweet and exhilarating kiss!

He’ll start off with a cheesy pick-up line, purely for comedic effect because at this point, he and his s/o have been dating a long time. Sokka totally wants to get married! He fantasizes about the day he’ll propose with a hand-carved necklace. Sokka would of course honor the wishes of his bride, but he can’t deny he dreams of a traditional Water Tribe wedding. He wouldn’t mind combining the traditions of his bride into the mix, too, if they happen to hail from somewhere else. Honestly, he just wants to seal his bond to his beloved, so as long as this guy can profess his undying love to his partner, he’s all for it.

Sokka hates gushy nicknames; hearing how his sister goes on and on with them drives him nuts. So, he’s pretty simple with the pet names- “babe” is usually his go-to, but when he’s feeling a little more in love, he’ll drop a “honey” or “baby.” When he’s in a teasing mood, he’ll call his s/o “sweetcheeks” or “babycakes” just to fluster them.

Oh, no. There’s no hiding when Sokka’s head-over-heels. He’ll be daydreaming about them 24/7, and his friends will constantly have to snap him out of it. He is totally spacey and clumsy when he’s in love because his s/o just dominates his mind, especially in the beginning.

Sokka is totally a hopeless romantic. He won’t admit it aloud, ever, but he loves being in love and doting on his s/o. Sokka is very imaginative, so most of his gestures are personal and creative. Of course, he knows the importance of tried-and-true methods, so sometimes he’ll surprise his s/o with something classic like jewelry or flowers.

Sokka doesn’t have any secrets per se, but he does find it hard to talk about the death of his mother. It’s something that haunts him. Eventually, his s/o can coax it out of him and talk him through his trauma. He’ll feel much better with his s/o reassuring his feelings.

Sokka’s kind of a meticulous guy, so he prefers routine in the relationship. However, he knows that spontaneity is important to keep the fun alive, so he’ll plan impromptu outings and fun little dates.

Sokka is usually very in tune with his partner and knows how they work. Every once in a while, his s/o will do or say something that causes them to butt heads. It’s usually something that triggers Sokka’s protective nature. But, for the most part, dating Sokka is pretty smooth sailing.

Anglo-Saxon Futhorc

The Anglo-Saxon Futhorc wasn’t commonly used to be written down but dates between the 5th (500′s) to the 11th century (1000′s), during the time of the Elder Futhark. It’s believed that the Anglo-Saxons created more runes for the different phonetics in Old English, resulting in 33 runes, while other places such as Iceland had condensed it into to 18 runes (Younger Futhark). Not much is known about Anglo-Saxon Runes as they weren’t commonly used so it’s hard to say how they were used for magic. However, the first 24 runes are borrowed from Elder Futhark so they can be used if you so wish.

Quinton was no stranger to wealth or the finer things in life. He was born with a silver spoon in his mouth. Quinton hailed from a lineage he could directly trace back to JP Morgan, and his entire family acted like the tycoons they hailed from. Well, the entire family aside from his branch. Quinton, the only child, was part of a very tight knit family that valued philanthropy through their wealth. They prescribed to the mantra of “success with a servants heart” and spent most of their time trying to use their money and power to make the world a little better of a place.

His childhood was riddled with mission trips, traveling extensively and living on the same budget as the people they were serving to gain perspective. His father taught him how to be a good man, and his mother taught him how to be a caring and open person. All of that changed one snowy afternoon when his parent’s private propeller plane crashed into the fields of rural Iowa on a speedy trip to help some folks in their network. They had left Quinton with relatives on the notion that it was a short flight.

What happened next was textbook. He fell on the responsible shoulders of his uncle and their family. Younger siblings to his own parents, they treated money in a more vicious manner. He went to a private school. Slowly, his previous ways of life were chipped away at. It was a gradual pace. Quinton had hit puberty early, and without the guidance of his parents. it wasn’t long until the tabloids knew who he was. He was a regular item on page six, brushing shoulders with people exactly at his station. When he joined Instagram, he amassed over five million followers in two days.

Despite having all the money in the world, and a lifestyle most people would envy, Quinton had no idea what we wanted to do. Philanthropy was the thing that killed his parents, and was seen as a necessity among his relatives. He wanted to start a nonprofit, and become something true to who he used to be, the legacy his parents left, but he instead fell into the internet era — becoming famous on YouTube and Instagram for his nightlife guides. The money from this content, and paid sponsors quickly made him realize that he was a promoter of some sort. He was envied by men, lusted after by women, he was golden just like he always was. It was easy to slip into old habits.

That old habit was an on and off girlfriend. They were extremely public when they were on and extremely public when they were off. They quickly became known for their fighting, break ups, drama, and then big romantic gestures. However, pressure grew from his family to do something real. That was when he decided to open Illusion. Illusion was everything the night life world craved. It skyrocketed to one of the best places to party in the city. He was on the up and up, it seemed.

All good things end. And that was the case with his second club that he planned to open in Miami six months ago. Drama hit a new high when a sex tape of his girlfriend was leaked on the big screen of the club opening. Which fueled a massive and very public fight between the two. Quinton went home with her best friend and she never made it home. He found out in the morning that his girlfriend had gotten into a car accident and died on the site while attempting to drive to his hotel. A hotel he wasn’t at.

After the accident, Quinton dropped off the map for a month. The second club in Miami Quinton sold for a quick couple million. He was happy to wipe his hands of it and that night. When he returned to social media and the city, he returned with a bang. He threw a party to die for with A-Listers and no holes barred. Secrets were kept from that night but the photos that leaked to the press, quite purposefully, made the event to die for.

Illusion is his main club that he owns and oversees. He still maintains a massive following and often flies and parties. If anything, his party lifestyle has sped up since the accident. Where once he said that he promoted to make money, show people a good time, and make connections, he knows now that he’s doing it for the thrill to party lately. He’s been taking more risks lately, including dabbling in a society that allows his true visions for the club to come true — full debauchery at every aspect.

He’s started to take a step in. And he likes what he sees. Illusion has become a place for drugs, women, and Quinton? He’s the ringmaster of the most fabulous parties there ever was. He’d never admit he’s in too deep. He’d never admit that he’s hoping to really fuck himself. He’s not looking for redemption. He’s looking to die young. Which might be easy, because he’s been hiding a secret – his blackouts are getting worse and worse. He suspects what the route of the problem is, but avoids getting actual help for it, caught in this loophole of ‘it’ll save me some money and time to die that way’ and ‘it’s probably fine’. It isn’t though, because every so often he can feel the pounding in his chest, the light feeling of his fingers, even when he’s sober.
