Meet Achara Singhaboon 🦎

A lizard-hybrid girl born to two wealthy parents into a life of privilege, Achara has been a rebellious force of nature her entire life. Growing up with the label of a genetically engineered "designer baby" left her with resentment towards her strict parents and the high level of expectations they had for her. Her father, Rama, and her mother, Ratchanee often demand perfection from their teenage daughter but rarely ever receive it. Achara couldn’t be less bothered by school, grades, or status, and only really cares about her bunny-hybrid younger brother, Asawin and her rat-hybrid best friend, Emil.

In an effort to put Achara on the right track her parents enroll her into Alpha King Academy, hoping the program will mold her into a responsible, respectful, and reputable young woman. Achara isn't convinced, however, and is more concerned with the recent disappearance of Emil. She expected to coast through the program as apathetically as possible until she's unknowingly pulled into the center of a dangerous conspiracy alongside a handful of other new kids.

As the mystery unfolds she learns there is much more to her own story that she was never aware of. She takes an eye opening and frightening deep dive into her origins, discovering she was originally a part of something much bigger and was meant for more than she ever realized. Her life as she knew it essentially turns out to be a lie, but with her newfound friends she's able to overcome the new threats that are now after her.

Dee wanted to ask Dawn, his cute goth crush, out to the Winter Formal but he backed out when the big bad put her life in danger to get to Dee. He pushed her away to protect her. During the dance, Dawn apologizes to Dee for not being there for him and tells him she chooses to stand by him even when things get scary. They dance and even though Dee never confesses his feelings for her, he's happy just to have her in his life. They need each other. (Earlier that night, Colt confessed his feelings for him, thinking he'd never see Dee again because he was being sent to prison- and Dee was dying. Dee rejected him and then went to cry to Achara, who was not equiped to comfort him but did her best. We love our lizard bestie.)

Who is this character? This is Moira Mercia-Ward, a first year (sophomore) at Alpha King Academy! She was part of an accidental late admission group with her four best friends, Achara Singhaboon, Colt Arvidsson, Diarmuid O'Ceallaigh, and Will Smalls. Later they met Kid Condor, and the six of them were dragged into an intensely dangerous mystery revolving around a fellow student murdered in his dorm room.

FASCINATING, I WISH TO KNOW EVERYTHING! Oof. That's a tall ask. This game spanned nearly 2 years and a lot happened, most of our sessions were 12+ hours, weekend-long affairs. I'm happy to share specifics via the ask function, but I'm afraid a novelization is out of the question. |D

What is Moira's Alpha ability (power)? Mastermind and I call it "Thread Kinesis"--basically thread-movement. Moira often wears sweaters or clothing with laces, she can unravel/unlace these things and use them to constrict opponents, cushion blows, rappel and swing, grab objects, etc. as long as she's in physical contact with what she's controlling. More recently Will Smalls developed a set of twelve magnetic metal plates with holes, to allow Moira to weave her own shields and plate metal. Or create pretty vicious swinging-mace weaponry. Robots beware......

Dang that sounds wild. Can she only control yarn and laces? For the moment, that's what she can control most easily. During the endgame, she was able to control wires for a moment but it created great physical strain. Someday she may be on the same level as her mother (she's able to control wires as well as clothing without being in physical contact, making it unsettlingly easy for her to restrain and constrict anyone who happens to be, you know, dressed).

Why the hyphenated last name? I'm so glad you asked... Moira is the only daughter of Winston Ward and Malena Mercia. Malena happens to have the same power as Moira, in fact this power has passed itself along the female offspring for generations (Malena will say that they're descended from the Moirae, the Fates, themselves, though Moira is extremely skeptical for obvious reasons). Both of her parents being progressive, Moira's last name was hyphenated to "preserve" the Mercia name.

Moira's mom sounds a little intense... Is she okay? Absolutely not. Malena Mercia was an activist for a time, but her methods became more and more extreme until she was classified as a villain. She called herself "Filanesse" as a kind of bitter joke-- if she was going to be villainized for simply doing what had to be done to hold bad people responsible, she would gladly take up the mantle of a 'villainess' (Fil, filament, look I'm very symmetrical it's fine). Eventually when Moira was 10, Malena was defeated by Thunder Solomon (leader of The Vanguard, a prominent superhero team) and arrested for various vigilante-villain activity and killing a security guard. Malena was sent to Alpha Max-- maximum security for people with Alpha abilities-- for a long time. Moira visited for a few years when she still didn't quite understand the extent of what had happened, but eventually asked Winston if she could stay home when he visited Malena. Moira's confusion and grief turned into anger over being essentially abandoned because her mother killed someone using their power. Teenagers, right?

Dang! So has Moira seen her since she stopped visiting the prison? You think she managed to keep that bit of her traumatic history private for two years of gameplay? HA! The trail of the dead student led back to Malena, so Moira had to visit her in Alpha Max. The first time was an emotional disaster, Moira running out of the prison after the visit having a full-blown panic attack. The second time she went, there was a prison break and Malena escaped to join the Big Bad Evil Guy in their plot. Malena kept reappearing and trying to get Moira to come to her side, but Moira was still simultaneously furious and pleading with her mother to just take responsibility for what she'd done and go back to prison. It didn't go over well. At the end of the season, Malena nearly killed Moira and her sister Melita in a blind rage and disappeared when she realized how far she'd gone.

...She has a sister? A twin sister in fact! Melita Mercia, who helped raise Moira. Melita is the youngest and participated in the Filanesse-identity, using her power in tandem with Malena's to make the villain seem even more formidable and powerful. It also helped them evade capture by authorities for a time, Filanesse always seemed to be able to outmaneuver whoever was chasing her, be wherever she needed to be in a moment. The three of them, Melita, Malena, and Moira, spent most of Moira's childhood together, raising her to feel strong and proud in her femininity. They were their own 'coven', for lack of a better word, and when Malena was arrested Melita disappeared, leaving Moira without her support network.

What about Winston though? Winston is a great dad! He's a public defender and works hard to support Moira with his single income. Which means often he wasn't around when Moira got home from school and often came home to eat, sleep, and change his clothes. He's a very supportive parent and wants to protect Moira from everything-- sometimes even from her own and his own feelings. They didn't really discuss Malena's arrest, and so their house was fairly quiet, dark, and sad from the tension and forced-cheerleading on Winston's part. He absolutely did his best, but Moira's life had a huge crater in it where her support network used to be. It's a tall task to fill it when you're already burning the candle at both ends and in the middle to make ends meet.

What's Moira like at school? In the beginning, Moira was very guarded and reserved. The Alpha Identity Protection Act (AIPA) is supposed to seal names and records of active superheroes and villains so their families don't get caught up in their personas, however many heroes still have access to that information. Moira spent the first few months guarding the fact that her mother is a convicted villain with everything she had in her, and it made her seem quiet, awkward, constantly nervous, and blank. In reality so much of her was caught up in her parentage, in the fear that she would someday lose her sanity and kill someone with her power like her mother did, that she stopped moving forward and growing. Pain was comfortable and familiar, building a new self that was separate from Malena and Melita was new and scary--so she didn't do it until the events of the game more or less forced her to confront the realities of her situation and start developing again. She's highly artistically-minded (she has a tree on campus that she regularly yarn-bombs to work out her feelings), she's practical while still being subject to emotional swings and panic attacks, she's highly protective to the point where she's thrown herself in front of real physical harm to protect her friends thinking 'I guess I'm just going to get hurt, this is how it goes'. She gets a little sarcastic if she feels unheard, inconvenienced, or taken advantage of, lightly gives her friends shit when she senses buffoonery, is highly sensitive to how people might be feeling even if she doesn't always know what to say, and is absolutely not above tying the school bully's shoelaces together under the lunch table if he's picking on her friend. As a random, non-specific example......... 8D

(I'm sorry you guys, if you're here, you're going to have to deal with my dumb shipping-- Moira tied Hunter Solomon's shoelaces together when he started picking on Will. Yes, Hunter, the son of Thunder Solomon, the woman who brought Malena down. This shit just writes itself, it's not my fault.)

How does she feel about her friends? Well she very nearly died fighting alongside them, they've absolutely become her new support network. Not the same as what she had with Malena and Melita, but enough for her to feel loved and free to explore the person she's becoming. She's probably closest with Will and Diarmuid, who both really supported her through her identity and mental health journeys. She has great admiration for Kid Condor, and a massive crush on him (he was the first who found out who her mother was and opened up to her about his own less-than-stellar childhood parentage). Achara is her roommate, and while Moira is organizing her scrapbooking supplies Achara is staying up all night playing video games. They couldn't be more different and that initially gave Moira serious pause, but their relationship is growing. Moira and Colt still don't see eye-to-eye, the two of them seem to keep missing each other. However Moira would absolutely have his back in any situation, just because they aren't best buddies doesn't mean she doesn't want what's fair and good for him.

What about a special someone, eh ehhhh?? Currently Moira is building a potential relationship with a second year named Xiomara. She was asked to the Winter Formal by Xiomara and spent most of her time worrying and feeling like she was leading her on by not telling Xiomara who her mother was. She sees what her mother did to Winston's life and doesn't want to do that to a partner. Feelings that are actually reciprocated have been on a very far back burner while dealing with everything else in her life, but she's starting to unclench and give things an honest chance.

So Moira likes boys AND girls? She likes everybody if given half an excuse. She's a little stunted now, but I imagine when she gets to college she goes pretty partner-wild.

OTP? Moira's got two hands and a lot of thread she can use to hold onto many things. I'm just saying.

What are her major themes in-game? Mental health, the power in what's traditionally thought of as 'feminine', moving past childhood trauma, finding the artist in the pragmatist, embracing parts of yourself you initially want to reject, finding greater purpose and courage when it's easier to just hide, finding your own definition of heroism, nobody is inherently "good" or "bad"-- they make choices that shape them.

Can I draw her?? I would LOVE IT. I wouldn't like anything with any intense depictions of violence/torture/sex, she's a kid after all, but I'm guilty of aging her up to write post-AKA fics so just use some good judgment I guess? She's my precious baby after all, handle with care. <3 (I say, as someone who gave her villainous heritage, mental health issues, and an unstable power...)

I really wish this was a TV show! Hey same! But it's great that our anonymous animator is making our kids move and we've gotta be happy with that! <3 Especially since adapting a 2-year-long tabletop game that means so much to us personally into some 10-episode studio-sterilized thing would be stomach-turning. Maybe one of us should work on marrying a billionaire who mysteriously falls down the stairs.

Work's fine, it's just that as a more of an introverted person customer service can be draining. And since I'm still new I'm constantly afraid of making mistakes and getting scolded... But at the moment I'm completely slacking off since I only have one more shift this week. Not a good thing money-wise but I appreciate a break rn. So I've been practicing self-care aka rewatching all the aired cherry magic episodes once again and drinking way too much milk tea. I've also been meaning to make the tangerine pie for what feels like ages now but I can't seem to find a recipe I'm satisfied with so do you have any suggestions or should I just make up my own? 🤔

neneeeeee!!! aaaah so sorry for the fairly late reply but here i am now! i’ve seen everyone suffering and begging for s2 hnshfg it’s truly frightening but also i am very intrigued as to watch it! just have to get through every other show on my neverending watchlist... mess.

ah i’m sorry about work, that’s rough :( however, i’m sure you’ll get used to it soon and that you’ll form a routine! customer service can be incredibly draining though so i’m glad you’re getting some kind of break at least. milk tea and cherry magic sounds wonderful, i can’t wait until i get my break in a couple of weeks so i, too, can just sit down and rest for a while and find some time to write, gif, and watch new shows! everything’s been a bit hectic right now and i have so many things to catch up with :( this time of year is difficult for everyone though, especially this year, and so i’m glad you’ve been holding up okay, all things considered. 

also tangerine pie!! yeah, it can be difficult to find a recipe and i rarely make it myself because i can never find tangerines BUT this is the recipe i used a while ago, because i love gingersnaps and i thought it worked well! once i get my break, i’m going to try and bake more and see if i just can’t find some tangerines and tweak this recipe a bit. but feel free to go wild with it - tangerines go super well with ginger, cinnamon, and i’m partial to tangerines and blueberries/lemons myself! they’re a fairly sweet fruit and so depending on your taste, it’s always fun to pair it with something sourer that’ll compliment it too. this has just turned into a tangerine ramble fhsnfh i’m sorry!!

aaaah i am so hyped for bad buddy! yeah, considering their close friendship irl, they’re gonna have super good chemistry, and also they’re both brilliant actors so i know they’ll deliver. i just hope people aren’t weird about them or try to ship them irl... that goes too far for me. and omggg your anon days!!! ah i remember that blog list still, they’re all so lovely and i’m so glad you like them too!

i’ve been doing okay! busy busy busy as always and i feel like i may be nearing a burnout but i have some time off soon so it’ll be time for me to rest and heal haha :^) no holiday plans unfortunately :( the original plan was to drive down to a neighbouring country and see some friends but since covid cases here are rising again we’ve decided it’d be smarter and more responsible to relent from that and see each other when it’s safer! i’ll probably (hopefully) just bake a lot and write a lot! i’m thinking about pete, kao, and achara in japan... they’d have so much fun going there in the winter holidays and seeing all the snow!

Esse é LYNAE LOPTDOTTIR, vindo de Kattegat, só tem vinte e quatro anos. É um Cavaleiro de Dragão na Academia de Berk, o seu dragão é um RAZORWHIP preto metálico chamado de Igrit. Alguns Vikings sussurram que ele é abençoado por HEL e tende seguir o caminho dela no futuro. É extremamente confundido com BAE JOOHYUN AKA IRENE, porém é óbvio que essa é Lynae, The Stormy.

POSITIVO: adaptável, corajosa, perfeccionista e esperta.

NEGATIVO: evasiva, insensível, rude e destrutiva.

Filha de uma coreana, trazida para Kattegat como escavava, com um dos caçadores mais prestigiados da tribo que acabou por cair nos encantos da mulher. A mãe sempre fora esperta, mesmo vivendo em péssimas condições e sendo maltratada por muitos, sabia usar o ambiente e as pessoas ao seu favor, passando tal habilidade para Lynae que não tivera uma vida tão mais feliz que a da matriarca. Durante a infância tivera um treinamento exaustivo e abusivo do pai, que arquitetava para que a garota fosse uma caçadora tão reconhecida quanto ele, chegando a bater na garota quando a mesma não sucedia como esperado. Ao atingir a adolescência Lyn começou a de fato se aproximar dos caçadores, entrando para um grupo e começando a treinar com o mesmo, sempre tivera muito êxito e impressionava a maioria, graças a exigência e perfeccionismo que seu pai embutira em si, forçando a garota sempre ao seu máximo. Mesmo assim nada aliviava a grande dúvida de Lyn, que não compreendia porque tinham de fazer aquilo com os dragões, não via os mesmos como uma ameaça, tampouco criaturas que deveriam ser alvo de perseguição. Para a caçadora eles mereciam cuidado e amor como todos os outros animais, mais do que os humanos, que ao ver de Lynae eram e sempre seriam desprezíveis. Entretanto sabia que tal opinião era rara e por isso escondia de todos, até mesmo da mãe em que tanto confiava.

Começara a de fato atuar como uma caçadora com 18 anos e podia-se dizer que ela ia de certa forma muito bem, o que para Lyn era terrível, cada dia que passava a garota se via mais enojada com o que faziam com as criaturas e logo começara a tentar ajudar as mesmas, passando a criar aversão as pessoas com as quais era obrigada a conviver. Atrasava o grupo de caçadores dos quais fazia parte, dava vantagens aos dragões, tentava o impossível e possível para protegê-los. Em uma de suas pequenas aventuras para proteger as criaturas, Lyn deu de cara com um Razorwhip machucado por um dos caçadores de seu grupo, arisco como o dragão era, a situação saiu de controle. Tentou ajudar a criatura mas a outra parecia hesitar, Lynae não tinha medo de morrer ali, mas sim do que os caçadores fariam se encontrassem o dragão. Após curtos dias a garota conseguiu certa confiança do Razorwhip, o suficiente para ajudar na situação do mesmo com o pouco que sabia sobre as criaturas. Porém, ela não fora cuidadosa como deveria e alguns caçadores a encontraram não tão longe de Kattegat. O grupo do qual fazia parte invadiu o local que tinha escondido a criatura e resolveu por si só dar um castigo a traição da garota. Além machucarem Lyn como ela nunca achara possível, eles tinham o plano de matar o dragão na frente da mesma. Decidida, Lynae usou seus últimos fios de força para se colocar entre o Razorwhip e os caçadores, dizendo que teriam de matá-la para fazerem o mesmo com o dragão. Achando que de fato fariam isso, a garota se surpreendeu ao ver que o Razorwhip atacar todos eles em sua defesa, sendo salvos somente pelo grupo de Cavalheiros que os encontraram após todo o tumulto causado.

Depois do episódio caótico Lyn se mudou permanentemente para Berk, descobrindo algo que nunca tivera, um lar. O Razorwhip com o qual desenvolvera uma conexão inquebrável não demorou a se tornar seu dragão e receber o nome de Igrit. Possuía uma personalidade semelhante à da garota, corajosa, sempre dando tudo de si, indo até o fim pelo que acreditava e até mesmo demonstrando certa apatia e traços agressivos com quem não conhecia, tudo fruto das experiências falhas que tivera em sua vida, Igrit e Lynae pareciam feitos um para o outro, sempre protetores, o dragão se tornou a família de Lyn que agora fazia o que mais queria de sua vida, ajudar as criaturas que tanto adorava. Passou pela Academia e atualmente é instrutora da mesma, não sendo lá a mais paciente tem sido um verdadeiro teste para a garota, que como sempre dá tudo de si, com o único propósito de ajudar os dragões.

Son of a Bird, Kabbalah on witchcraft and Fallen Angels

Fallen Angels is a widely known concept, but many people have wrong perceptions.  One of the big myths is that the angels come to the physical world with a physical body.  Although there is a possibility that an angle can take a physical body such as when the Angels Visited and ate by Avraham Avinu. We know that it was for a certain time while doing their mission and when they finished they left their physical bodies and returned to the angel's world.  A fallen angel on the other hand is an angel that descends in its spiritual level because of our sins.  Contrary to the belief that it is an angel that was 'pushed' out of heaven and roams our physical world.

   Every mission that an Angle comes to our world for is temporary and the Angel always returns to its spiritual world.  An Angel can not come to this world permanently to stay, especially in a physical body.  Like a person can elevate his Spirituality through guarding the mitzvot, perfecting one's character, and Kabalistic meditations one can ascend to higher levels and elevate his consciousness to reach the spiritual realms. Ascending from the physical to the spiritual dimensions and receive revelations. Even to the level that he is similar to an Angel and barley has free will, in the same way, Angels are able to come to this world and reveal themselves for a specific purpose or to send a message, still, the physical body is only temporary.  

In Israel, this week's parashah is 'Balak' and next week in the diaspora.  The Parasha speaks of 2 wicked sorcerers, Bilam and Balak, that went to the school of witchcraft in the mountains of darkness that was run by two 'fallen angels'.  Although these 'Mountains of Darkness' seems like a description of a physical place, it is not.  Obviously you will not find them in our physical world (try on google maps) rather it is a spiritual place in one of the spiritual dimensions.  Just like we try to connect to the worlds of purity, likewise, Bilam and Balak tried to connect to a dark place where the revelation of Hashem is hidden, and that is where they found these angels who thought them the art of witchcraft. 

How and Why does Hashem give space to these mountains? 

Why put negativity in the world?

the answer that is brought down in the Ariza"l, is that the space that Hashem gave to the negativity is to punish the wicked people.  but this seems to us a contradiction it seems like a reward. They have techniques that give them wealth and fame.   We must take a deeper look. 

The qualities of the dimensions of darkness

Our physical world is spiritual in the middle between the lofty worlds of purity and the worlds of negativity where the mountains of darkness can be found.  when a person changes levels in their morality they can either elevate to become closer to Hashem (which is our purpose) or heaven forbid connect to the negative worlds.  The Negative worlds aka the dimensions of darkness is a place were resides all the powers of the tuma (impurity), and the power of the Klipot (shells).   

What does it mean to go up or down in the spiritual worlds?

It is not a physical elevator or plane. 

Since we do not know much about the negative worlds Barch Hashem, we do know that parallel the positive worlds of the kedusha (holiness) In the Kedusha as much as we go up in the higher levels there is more revelation of Hashem.

First, we go up to Asiah, even though there are many connections to this world, they are not the exactly same. The presence of Hashem is felt much stronger in this higher dimension. We see the same principle that when ascending higher to  Atzilut the revelations of the presence of Hashem are so abundant that one can see that there is nothing besides Hashem. In Beriah, it becomes so much more definite.  

On the opposite side in the worlds of negativity as much as one goes lower into the dimensions of negativity he does not see Hashem and loses the consciousness of the presence of Hashem and feels as there is no law, no judgment, and no punishment. This leads such people to go against the Torah

This is why when we talk with some people they can not understand the presence of Hashem because there consciousness in those lower dimensions.  

In Har Sinai, Am Yisrael said Na-aseh and Nishma we will do and we will hear; once we do a mitzvah it raises us to a higher level of spiritual understanding we will be able to comprehend the Torah that comes from a pure and high spiritual world.  This is also the meaning of mitzvah causes mitzvah and avera causes avera. Since when we do a mitzva we go higher and our revelation becomes more clear and we are able to do another mitzvah since we have less inclination to sin. [Fic] A Dressing Down

I don't do a lot of drawing, but I do write little stories about the AKA kids sometimes! Most of it isn't canon-compliant, just for funsies. This one I wrote after Diarmuid's player talked about him sharing sweaters with Moira on occasion, but it's some ColtxDee content for those jazzed about the Tiktok lore getting dropped. 8]b Enjoy!

I can’t figure out if she does this to be ironic or what.

It really was the stupidest thing he’d ever seen. Fuzzy, off-white, huge pom-pom flowers dropped on the front and sleeves, probably the back too. It looked like something someone would wear after losing a bet. But there Moira was, sitting across from him and chatting happily with Diarmuid about some cute video or something, looking totally unaware of how stupid she looked.

Whatever, it wasn’t like he cared what she wore.

But he did a couple days later when Diarmuid came back to the room late at night in the same stupid sweater. Colt looked up from the frustrating task of shoving all of his unfolded clothes into his dresser drawer and stopped to stare at the perfectly round abjurations dotting the front of that thing. Unmistakable, and Diarmuid was wearing it?

“Where’d you get that?”

“Huh?” It took Diarmuid a minute to figure out Colt meant the sweater, given the total lack of context clues. “Oh! Moira leant it to me. It’s cute!”

More beats passed as Colt processed this.

“Yeah.”

“I need to talk to you.”

Moira barely managed to scoop her homework and textbooks away in time before Colt could put his tray on top of them. She looked a little irritated.

“Hey Colt, yeah sure, have a seat, let me clear this for you.”

It didn’t register. “What’s going on with you and Diarmuid?”

Moira tilted her head and furrowed her brows. “Uh…? Nothing as far as I’m aware? Is he upset?”

“No,” Colt’s turn to look irritated that Moira wasn’t reading his mind.

“Okay, then… I have literally no idea what you’re asking me, then.”

He let out a short, loud sigh, looked away, tapped the table agitatedly, looked back. “Look I don’t care if you’re fucking, okay?”

Whatever theories Moira had been forming about what Colt was actually asking about, this was probably right at the very bottom. “Uhh…” She looked away for help—or verification she wasn’t going crazy. Colt took it as an admission of guilt.

“I don’t. Okay?”

“Colt I’m…” She was still struggling to figure out where to even start with this sudden and mysterious train wreck.

“But people are going to start noticing he’s wearing your shit, okay? So.” He shrugged as nonchalantly as he could, which ended up looking like it could have been a shoulder-check. So stop giving him your sweaters was implied, Colt was pretty certain of that.

Moira’s eyebrows flew up in sudden understanding. “Oh my god, no, Colt, he asked to borrow them! He’s not wearing my clothes because we’re like that, he asked and I said ‘yeah, I can’t wear them all at once, go ahead’!”

Colt softened just a little. “…Hm.”

“Why did you immediately think we were having sex? That’s like zero to sixty in two seconds.”

“I dunno. Boyfriend jeans or whatever.”

Moira looked like she was barely containing her incredulity. Eventually after enough stony silence from Colt and struggled parsing from Moira, she had to set the attempts to navigate Colt’s thought process aside—for her own sanity.

“No, Diarmuid and I are not… swapping clothes because we’re a couple and regularly undressing in front of one another. He saw one of my sweaters when he was over gaming with Achara, asked if he could borrow it, I was happy to let him. That’s it.”

“…I guess that makes sense.”

“You guess? What is with this interrogation? Why are you being so weird about some imagined meaning of borrowed sweaters?”

“Can you make me a sweater?”

For the second time in the span of three minutes, Moira felt like she had whiplash. “Wha--?”

“But like, a cool one. Not with all this shit you usually put on yours. Well, maybe a little of that.” One that Diarmuid might like. “But not a lot. And maybe a little small on me.”

Looking across the table at Moira now, Colt felt a strange but distinct cold front coming in from her direction as she stared back at him with all traces of confusion gone from her expression. She started putting her books in her bag without a word. Colt took this as a sign that he’d somehow fucked up.

“You want money? I could pay for it.”

“Ohh Colt Arvidsson, you couldn’t afford me even if you were still doing whatever the Hellions did.” Moira whipped a teal sharpie and hot pink post-its out of her bag, scribbled something on the top, yanked the note off and slapped it down on the table in front of Colt. “See you in class.”

Colt, frozen and awkward, watched Moira storm off and only chanced a glance at the note when she was totally out of his eyeline:

“Colt?” A light pounding at the door. “Can—can you open the door for me?”

At Diarmuid’s request, Colt quickly bounded across the room in three strides and opened the door to their room. Packages greeted him, Diarmuid somewhere underneath.

“Oh shit, let me help,” he started relieving Diarmuid of the parcels, stacking them in one hand easily.

“Thanks, they’re all for you I think? The people at the mailroom gave them to me to give to you, they said they’ve been there a few days. They’ve been emailing you.”

“I thought they’d just bring them here, isn’t that how mail works?”

“…No, you have to… there’s a mail room and you have to go get packages and mail there. They don’t just bring it to our dorm.”

“Huh.” So that’s what those emails were about.

“What’d you get? I was worried for a sec, but then I realized they were all pretty light.”

Colt started tearing apart the plastic pouches one by one, revealing sweater after sweater in navy, gray, black…

“O-oh…”

“Just thought I’d get some new stuff.”

“Y-yeah sure…”

Well, maybe Colt was turning over a new sartorial leaf. Far be it from Diarmuid to question it.

Just a little weird, for him especially, to get six or seven sweaters in April…

Achara belongs to the wonderful and cool @gatorgumz 💖 still laughing at Achara and Diarmuid having the least chemistry in the team and now they’re inseparable and would do anything for the other.

They are my blorbos. They make me comfy and happy.

Achara met Emil, a rat hybrid, before she began to attend AKA. The two were around 13-14. Emil was her first best friend and person she felt understood her completely and earned her trust.

He disappeared after a year with no traces. Achara spent her days before orientation looking for signs of him with no luck.

Once she entered AKA, she began to catch hints of him here and there. His scent nearby, sightings at their favorite arcade, but it isn't until Achara is kidnapped by the scientists of Centrapharm that she reunites with Emil, in the worst way possible.

This entire time, Emil was assigned to track her down and bring her back to the lab facility. She learns that her dad isn't her dad, but rather a former scientist who rescued her from the abuse she was enduring there. The would-be leader of Project Zodiac, a team of hybrids created to be the most powerful. She was created to be a weapon, a mix of multiple reptiles to form something akin to a dragon.

Emil shows regret, as he truly developed strong platonic feelings for her and gave up on his "mission" until this point.

Achara is hurt and betrayed, but Emil proves himself in aiding her and her friends' escape from Centrapharm. He stays behind as the rest of the hybrids there he considers his family, not wanting to abandon them. They hug, Emil having shown her he values her more than anyone else, and Achara promises she'll come back for him, and her father, who stayed behind as well.
