✦ Lycaon likes to think himself a patient man- or werewolf. He can handle Corwin’s self deprecation. He can handle Ellen’s overwhelming bored and teen rebellious phase. Rina’s cooking and antics, I’m pretty sure he puts up with, though barely. However, with this new addition to their team, he acknowledges the huge- HUGE elephant in the room. This cat thirens disobedience and clear dislike towards him, their boss. And while it’s fine when it’s outside the job, they work efficiently and swiftly when on their jobs, though they always seek to peeve him off at times, a cunning glare in their eyes when they look back at him, how they run forwards to finish his own enemies as to show off. It’s their defiance that creates problems as he can’t help but think they are trying to prove that their are better. 

✦ And usually he won’t complain, after all he hired them for their potential and knows what he’s getting into, but lately they’ve been chipping away at his patients, their coy antics getting under his fur, having to restrain a low growl when they purposely interrupt him or act out of line in front of guest or their masters. The reason Rina can only giggle behind her palm while staring at the two of them stare each other down, another one of their pity arguments being the center of attention. Creative backhanded compliments shared between the two as Corwin tries to calm the two, Ellen holding the girl back in amusement.

✦ Honestly, Lycaon can’t help but be slightly disappointed, he sees his employees as family, so to see one with a clear disdain for him makes him pout in private, seeming gloomy as his tail thumps and ears pinned back. Rina has to comfort him, all the while encouraging him to cheer up. Offering him a meal which he refuses, stating he wasn’t hungry. Though Rina can only ask that he give it his best try to be the bigger person and treat them kindly, for they don’t know what they could be going through.

✦ That being said, Rina is hiding more then she’s leading on, one second in Lycaon’s office to comfort him and then another in a private sitting quarters with said Cat thiren, brushing their hair and scratching behind their ears while listening to their childish rant- more like them denying their feelings.

While sitting before Rina’s small puppets, they paw and rack the little phantoms on their heads, watching them evade their attacks before being pulled back towards Rina’s lap. Having to sit still was difficult enough, but Rina promised to comb their hair and get it nice and pleasant for their next trip. “Ah, you need to take better care of yours. Lycaon will scold you if your headpiece isn’t perfectly centered- or in one piece in general.” She giggled before properly setting the cutest fabric on their head and giving their ears a little scratch.

“Eh, who cares what he thinks. He can just fix it himself if it bothers him so much.” With a hiss, their tail thumps besides them before they use it as a distraction from their overwhelming thoughts on said werewolf. “Oh, I think you do actually care about his thoughts on you.”

“Ehehe- Yeah you do!”

“Sir Lycaon, did you see that! Hehehe”

“Oh Sir Lycaon, see how great I am!”

“Great! Great!”

“H-HEY SHUT IT!” The cat hisses at the teasing from the little boos, Drusilla and Anastella spinning around before returning to Rina’s figure, avoiding the nasty glare said cat was giving them. “Now, now kitty. No more fighting- you already do enough of that with Von,” Smiling before moving them to sit upright, the figure before her slumping again and leaving her to adjusting them again til they stay, “Though, you know if it’s attention and praise you want, maybe fighting less with the boss would actually get you the results you want.”

“Pffm, as if.” They only pout to themselves, muttering quietly as Rina takes out a needle and starts stichting up their uniform where little tears and rips had formed. Whether from their battles or their tendies to claw at the fabric when they don’t know what to do with their hands. “Even if I wanted it, I don’t even know what I would say…”

“Oh, and what makes you think that kitty? Von would be more than delighted to compliment your achievements, after all he looks highly of you. You’re an amazing servant here, he couldn’t be more proud of your growth. He told me himself.” While she gushed her Boss’s supposed claims, the thiren’s tail swayed quicker then before, the adorable pout on their face turned into that of an embarrassed frown, afraid to speak out of fear of word vomiting. “Oh Kitty, promise you’ll try to be nicer to Lycaon. As much as I adore your little cat-dog fights, I would like it if you both got along much more.” 

They yelp as Rina ‘accidently’ poked them with the needle, ears flatten as they only mumble out a silent promise. Blushing as they think of how they could try to be nicer, distracted at how Lycaon would react to their change in demeanor, tail returning to playfully bat Rina’s hand while lost in deep thought.

✦ After this conversation, Lycaon finally notices the little changes in their Cat’s behavior. Offering a hand in his tasks, though they still have their little backhanded comments, they are obedient nonetheless. He could tell that they seem to be warming up to him again, not running away from him as much and willing to calm down and listen instead of enlightening another fight between wolf and cat. Really, He’s glad they have improved since then, also making an effort to respect his fellow thiren and help them however he can. 

✦ He sees how much they enjoy the headpats and scratches the girls give them, how they have a subtle purr from the affection and praise they give them. So after a mission complete, satisfied with their work today, he gives them a little head pat and congratulates them on the great. While at first they don’t respond at first, tired from the day's events, they suddenly perk up and jolt away, rambling an indescribable comment and turning tail to run off into their safe house. He can only tilt his head, tail wagging as he couldn’t help but enjoy just how soft their hair is.

In which reader decides to teach herself how to skateboard, and surprise AJ

AJ was an amazing athlete, you’ve always admired her for that. And was envious of her capabilities. At times. As predictable as it was, you were more of an artist. So, you stayed away from sports since you were…clumsy. But one day, you felt like doing something. Trying something new. And that’d be teaching yourself to skateboard. Not sure how that would go, but you were excited to learn. Now that it was summer, she had more time on her hands to get back into skateboarding. Well, that meant you had a lot of time to kill as well. It was the last summer before college began in the fall and that wasn’t something you were particularly keen on thinking about right now. The idea of college freaked you out, even though you didn’t have much to worry about seeing that you had already been accepted and offered a full ride.

Since she was out with Gabi for the day, you decided now was a good time to start. Going over to the designated cupboards, you took out one of AJ’s skateboards and a set of protective gear then headed out to the back porch. You put on the helmet, elbow and knee pads then sat down to think it over, suddenly hesitant. You looked up some videos and all, but eventually the only thing you managed to do was get both feet on the board. You were steady though. Getting on and off a few times, you finally decided to push yourself a little and move. Luckily, that ended well and you thought that was enough work for the day on skateboarding so you didn’t want to push your luck and get yourself injured during your very first attempt.

That took you a good half hour or so. After putting everything back from where you took them, you decided to get back to reading the book you were halfway through. Lighting a nice candle, you were now curled up in the armchair with a blanket, a cup of your favourite tea and the book.

You nodded off after some time, only stirring awake when you heard the front door unlock and someone walking in. Wait, not just one person. Gabi lived here too, so obviously they got home together. The three of you shared this ground floor apartment.

You slowly opened your eyes and saw AJ looking at you. “Hey.” She smiled.

You returned the smile, replying, “Hey, you’re back. Hi, Gabs.”

“How was your day-in?” Gabi asked.

“Pretty good.” You answer, “Had a nice nap.”

The taller sister chuckled while AJ smooches you on the cheek, “We brought home dinner. I’m glad you got some rest, you were so stressed this week.”

“I’ll go take a shower first, you guys.” Gabi said.

“Okay.” You and AJ answered in unison. As Gabi disappeared into the hallway, AJ pulls you onto her lap.

“What?” You ask her with a laugh.

“Nothing.” She tells you while wrapping her arms securely around you. You knew that’s all that was, you loved being in her arms. It made you feel all warm and fuzzy on the inside. AJ loved holding you too, no matter what. She was big on physical touch and you loved that.

“What were you up to today?”

You gulped, “Nothing much. Did some reading instead of writing for once. Then I fell asleep.”

She couldn’t help but laugh endearingly.

“Ha ha, very funny.”

She rests her chin on your shoulder, not saying anything.

“Well, how was your day?”

“It was good, it’s always nice to hang out with Gabs.” AJ answered, “Missed you though.”

“It was only a few hours.” You chuckled. Her fingers combed through your hair, massaging your scalp, which you greatly enjoyed and appreciated. You had been feeling a bit of a headache coming on over the last several hours.

“Are you feeling okay?”

“Mm.” You mumbled, “Head hurts a little but I’m okay.”

“Alright, if you’re sure.” She plants a kiss on your shoulder.

“Baby, I cannot believe you did that!” AJ said through giggles, “Are you sure you’re okay?”

“Hey, I didn’t fall. I made it through the whole thing.” You pointed out.

“You nearly—”

“Ah.” You stopped her, tackling her with a hug from behind, “But I didn’t. I’m perfectly fine. At least I think so.”

“You think so?” Dylan nearly snorted trying not to laugh.

“Can we go home now?” You tugged on AJ’s arm.

“Right now?” She narrowed her eyes at you suspiciously, “I thought you wanted to go to that—”

You hooked your arm together with hers, practically clinging onto her while you leaned closer.

“We’re still on for tomorrow, right?” Stacy asks.

AJ nodded, “Of course!”

“She’s being very clingy.” Stacy bites back a laugh, “Girl, you better not be sick or something.”

“I’m not.” You promised.

You and AJ said bye to Stacy and Dylan. Gabi had a dinner date with Chantal. But anyway, you two were on your way home. “You better be okay.”

You sulked, “I swear I’m fine.”

Silence lapsed between you and her for the rest of the ride, but you were just sitting there, not bothered by it. This wasn’t unusual. You could feel her looking at you every now and then, though. Not a single word was exchanged until you both entered the apartment and settled down. She adjusts the thermostat, sits down on the couch, and turns the TV on. Gesturing for you to sit yourself on her lap, you quickly obliged and made yourself comfortable. “You wanna talk about it?”

“AJ, it’s just some bruises I got from teaching myself how to skateboard.”

“Some bruises?” She gulped.

“My shins. And my shoulder.” You gave her a sheepish smile.

“Your shoulder?” Her eyes went wide, her finger went underneath the thin fabric of your t-shirt, lifting it to assess your said injury. She cringed internally, “Oh my God, baby.”

“I’ll manage.” You mumbled, now clinging onto her like a koala, head nuzzled in the crook of her neck.

“And you’re doing that, how? By holding onto me like a baby?”

“I’m fine, but they still hurt.” You whined, “Let me have this, okay?”

AJ chuckles, hand stroking your head, “Of course, honey. As long as you’re happy. I’ve got you.”

You smiled, eyes fluttering shut due to the soothing motions of her hand that was now rubbing your back. “What do you want for dinner?”

“Dunno.” You mumbled, breathing out heavily.

“Can I get up to go see what I can make for dinner in a bit?” She asks quietly. You nodded. But until then, you gladly stayed put in this state, letting yourself relax and soak in the attention she was giving you.

About thirty minutes afterwards, you were curled up on the couch while AJ was in the kitchen preparing dinner. You didn’t know what she was cooking— she didn’t tell you yet, but it smelled delicious.

“Baby?”

“Hm?” You glance at her for a second.

“Why’d you decide to teach yourself how to skate?”

“I wanted us to be able to have something we could do together. Well, something new.”

“That’s sweet.” She beamed, “Hearts aching a little bit that you got those bruises, but I love that you can skate now.”

You let a chuckle slip, “Me too. But just for fun though.”

you hummed groggily, the light from the morning sun peaking through the nailed wood on the window- the light casting the room in a soft, morning glow.

you blinked a few times, casting away the sleep that warmed over the corners of your resting eyes over the time you lay asleep on clementine’s soft mattress.

a yawn crept up your throat, eyes creasing shut and watering lightly as a reaction to your body waking up. with the yawn settling, your morning eyes scanned around you. The bunk bed you slept on the same it was when you’d fallen asleep that prior night, still old and creaking.

The warmth that was heavy in your side finally became the main attraction of your attention, your lazy eyes shifting over to the heat source.

a small smile gathered on your lips, warmth raising to your cheeks at the sight of the sleeping girl before you- her head tucked into your side, soft breaths tickling your arm. the sight of her chest breathing up and down always makes your heart beat a little faster, calming your nerves. you were always afraid that one day, you or she might wake up and one of you would be dead or— or worse. not dead.

you decided that by the way the sun was shining through the crack of the wood, it was mid morning— and way past the time you two were supposed to wake up.

you moved out of her reach, shuffling to sit up— shoving down a small giggle when her brows furrowed in her sleep. watching her for a moment— the way her face was so peaceful made you happy, it was a rare sight. especially in the world you both live in. Her eyelashes were so long, thick and black; her eyes looked angelic in their frame. Her lips were parted lightly, the small gusts of air fanning in and out of them. You didn’t want to wake her— but, you could hear AJ talking through the pipes from a few rooms over; mentions of breakfast, a name or two, including clementine’s, had you knowing it’s best if you two catch the food rush before it’s gone.

You bent down on one elbow, leaning your face closely to hers- smiling at the sight of her. “clem..” you whispered, reaching a hand up to brush a piece of hair from her face, tucking it behind her ear. “clementine…” her brows furrowed again, shifting her face away from the call of her name— hoping to continue her resting time.

you huffed a small laugh, tucking your hair out of your face fully and leaning over, softly pecking her cheek. she didn’t move, and you pecked the same spot. a huff left her lips and that let you knew she was waking up. You grinned like a school girl, moving your hands up to cup her cheeks and kissing her lips, her blush bone, by her eyes and her forehead— each time pulling your lips away with a soft smack.

her hands came to grab yours, small giggles of her own leaving her mouth at the feeling of your soft kisses littering her face. you grinned against her face, each kiss becoming more silly with each laugh erupting from both your chests.

“stop! stop!” she laughed out, trying to pull your hands off her face to halt the ticklish feeling. You didn’t— knowing she was only being playful. your kisses moved down from her face to her jawline, kissing the soft skin and feeling the vibration of your laughter against the tip of your nose that touched her neck. you laughed at her laughs, the wholesome giggles coming from her throat a rare sound- but you loved it more and more every time.

“y/n—” you finally stopped your attack of kisses when she said your name, pulling back and looking into her eyes with a big smile. “good morning, clem.” you hummed, seeing the grin on her lips. “good morning.” she replied, quickly kissing your lips in a short peck; catching your surprise.

“i had to wake you up somehow.” you whispered, smiling wildly at the eye roll she sent you. “yeah, yeah.” she laughed out, placing her lips on yours, kissing you while she moved around to sit up, smiling into it when you mumbled. Pulling away, you wiped your face. “i heard AJ talking about breakfast. we should get out there before everyone eats everything.” you said, scooting off the bed, stretching your limbs as clementine did the same, a small yawn echoed through the room when she stood up. you reached up on the bunk bed, fingers touching the familiar calloused fabric of clementine’s old hat— wrapping around it and bringing it to your level. you blew off the dust resting on the hat from the night, smiling at the sight of it. It’s fascinating that Charlie uses chan with Jeff instead of phi (for the I pronoun). What an odd little relationship these “brothers” have. Ah ha, of course, as is revealed, they are not blood brothers. And Charlie has GUTS.

I am intrigued by Charlie finally. That took a while. Still suspect his motives, but also, I'm not wild about Babe, so bring it on puppy. Let's see whatcha got.

And we finally get to see Way’s power. Nice. Wonder why he never used it to talk Babe into bed? I mean dub con up the wazoo, but that never stopped a Thai BL before.

Episode 13 - Not with a bang, but with multiple whimpers

It’s a solid reunion scene.

Was I emotionally invested and did I tear up? No.

Should I have? Yes.

I am a sap.

Look.

If this whole thing was going to be a redemption arc for Kenta then it should have focused more on him from beginning and we should’ve gotten even more backstory.

Always a personal pleasure tho: To see a knife take down a gun. 

I wish Way had died in a slightly more heroic manner. But you can’t have everything.

I did like the part with Alan and Jeff, where Jeff finally realized that Alan had developed (through life experience) the same philosophy that Jeff’s talent had forced him to realize at a young age. "Sometimes we can make no mistakes and still lose." 

I did love that we got them as the final tender sex scene and the primary as a jokey raunch sex scene. It was kinda dismissive of Charlie tho. He existed in this narrative, throughout, only to serve Babe'

Although I also wish, we’d gotten a lot more of Jeff’s talent in action. I feel like it was under utilized by the narrative as a character trait . 

I don’t think the Babe's father-figure character should have been introduced at all. 

And... a very sweet very Thai ending. 

How to rate this?

It was… fine. 

I liked the sides more than the mains, which I shouldn't have.

Did I enjoy it? Sure.

Was the found family stuff sweet? Sure.

Were the sex scenes good? Sure.

Will I remember much about it except the a/b/o? Probably not.

Will I rewatch? Probably not.

Is it a significant BL? Not as much as it wants to be.

Thailand brought us the world's first omegaverse BL but then failed to lean into the courage of its a/b/o convictions by not emphasizing the difference between our world & theirs, adding & subtracting characters & allegiances + a weak ending. With earnest performances, enthusiastic sex scenes, a fantastic side couple, and some delightful scenery chewing - the actors tried... poor things. It's just the story failed both them and their parent genre. Frankly? I just wanted it to be more outrageous and trashy, since I never expected it to be good. Instead, it was just... meh.

Pit Babe - it's time for a Trash Watch!

I had to. Well, no I didn't, but COME ON. It's like Thailand is negging me. Let's burn rubber, shall we? Burn rubbers...?

The things I had been told going in about this show:

it's about car racing (this bores me)

it stars Pavel (my BL ult bias, he is my icon for a reason)

it started as an omegaverse y-novel but the A/B/O aspects would be stripped from the BL series

it's high heat

(There some chatter about whether point 3 was a mistranslation of something the author said, but don't bother me with trifles.)

Here's a definition of omegaverse:

Omegaverse, also known as A/B/O (alpha/beta/omega), is a subgenre of speculative erotic fiction, and originally a subgenre of erotic slash fan fiction. Its premise is that a dominance hierarchy exists in humans, which are divided into dominant "alphas", neutral "betas", and submissive "omegas".[1] This hierarchy determines how people interact with one another in romantic, erotic and sexual contexts.[2] (Wikipedia)

In my experience and opinion, omegaverse archetypes and tropes are often used to strip out female characters (and The Feminine) and as a tool to excuse extreme hyper-masculine behaviors without a critical feminist lens (leading to lazy characterization). Just as heat is an excuse to get nkd quickly, A/O/B is often an excuse for taboo and dubious consent actions and behaviors. Do I get why writers/readers enjoy it? Yes I do. Do I personally like it? Not particularly. (Although there are always exceptions.)

Putting all that aside, the above represents my foundational knowledge before Pit Babe started.

Oh and that the familiar BL faces appearing in this show were follows:

Pavel Naret (aka Pavel Phoom) from 2 Moons 2 & Coffee Melody - Pavel is a fluent English speaker, a bit of a drama monger, and a motorcycle rider/car-dude, this role suits him

Nut Supanut from Oxygen & Something in My Room - has an amazing voice, his somewhat wooden acting has improved steadily since Oxygen

Pon Thanapon - one of Star Hunter's stable first seen in the Gen Y series (where he stole the appeal of an intended pair), also v good in Make a Wish, I wish he'd get a lead role as he has a likable screen presence

Pop Pataraphol from La Cuisine - he's playing the Alpha rival and I'm not convinced he's suited to this role

Michael Kiettisak from Love Sick, Oxygen, Call it What You Want, Till the World Ends - playing the comic relief this time rather than his usual tortured stoic... huh

All the rest are either fresh faces or older experienced actors. Interesting mix. They must have some money behind this.

Episode 1 - Platypus, Pickles, Pavel, & other Smoking Hot Problems

This first segment told with a 4 day retrospect, because I decided to do a trash watch only after @aliceisathome said I should.

My initial reaction:

the sheer audacity of Thailand being like "PitBabe is not omegaverse" and then serving "Alpha" to us on a platter in the first sex scene is

what the actual fuck is going on? what world are we living in where a/b/o is LIVE ACTION ON OUR SCREENS?

I'm not sure what weird quantum time stream I've jumped into but someone was all,

Thailand has decided live action mm fanfic is gonna win it the culture wars

and I'm beginning to think they may be right

4 days later:

Considering how much chatter this caused there's a part of me that wondered if it was all intentional and a marketing ploy (to say it wasn't omegaverse when obviously it is). In which case... brilliant Machiavellian tactics, production.

But Thai studios are rarely this calculated in their promo. So I think it's all accidental. But it certainly caused a raucous few days on Tumblr.

On a completely different note, Babe's house looks like it started life as a particularly inventive Olive Garden. Or is that just me?

More random thoughts:

Pavel has had work done, why honey? You were the definition of perfect.

The smell thing is great, I love stuff to do with scent and necks. If omegaverse brings this to the table, fine. But...

Being all Alpha perfect butch manly man = I do not like Babe at all, I kinda want him to be brought down a peg. (Woo... pegging!) I never like narratives that glorify the captain of the football team (side eyes Cdrama CEO romances and Love O2O), Babe better have depth and damage (forget the pegging) of some kind or his behavior will get old FAST, faster than he drives (also, forget the pegging idea)

Nut is ideal in the Beta role. I mean, that's Way's character right? We all can see that. If it's not intentional, it's a miscast. I love how soft he is as as screen presence. He's great in this part.

None of the other characters are sticking out to me yet, but I'm prepared to love the side dishes in this, please make them swoon worthy!

I'm glad they didn't hold the Charlie = trickster reveal off, I like knowing he is a double agent up front.

Finally, with respect to an adequate trash watch, I'm in a pickle.

How am I going to drink for this show when there is so much else airing on Frigay? I can't keep track, if I'm drunk.

I need a strategy for this trash fire if the puns and snark are to spout forth! (HA Fourth!)

Episode 2 - Side Dish Addiction + Second Lead Syndrome are both infecting me at once

[FYI I gotta have my backup computer to watch this so that's why Imma sometimes be delayed getting the trash out to the curb.]

3 minutes! 3 minutes in and I needed to pause and wax snarkful. (Ouch, bet that hurts. Is waxing snark similar to a Brazilian but for BL? Is that why they all so hairless in The Sign?... I digress, where was I?)

Look, I like the tension in this show. It's good to set up an unlikeable Alpha dog and then immediately turn him into an underdog, makes him a bit more likable. I still don't like Babe, but now at least I'm on his side.

Charlie = cute but v sus. Fortunately for him, Babe = cute but v thick.

Everyone calls Charlie Babe's dek. Yes sounds a bit like what you think but also means kid/child and SHOULD be translated as boy in this show. Why doesn't the subber get that? They a sub...ber after all. (I'll see myself out.)

Honestly, the script writers might know what they are doing with abo but our eng sub translator sadly does NOT. I'm so glad this is coming now in my BL watching life. When my ear and knowledge of Thai is so much better than it once was. Others much be SO CONFUSED.

Alan calls Jeff nu (which the subber translated as boy I would have gone with cutie or little one). Nu is a diminutive affectionate term that's technically gender neutral but is most often used by/on cute girls/women. Jeff did NOT like it. Then Alan sort of dodges through pronouns/particles settling on phi for I, ger for you, and ja for a particle. This is interesting because ger & ja kinda lower his age and status into a casual sphere. Not more intimate more equal to jeff... fascinating.

I love the new "Korean" red racer, he drinks my brand of soy milk. He is now my baby snake in the grass.

Episode 3 - Side Dishes Delux

I could not care less about Babe and Charlie. Except I do love the smell thing.

Way will break my heart by getting his broken. He is right tho.

Tra la la. I feel like this is a bit like KP 2.0.

Charlie is a such a princess (and ace manipulator). Good thing Babe clearly likes being buttered up.

Babe's backstory was more interesting than I expected, I didn't think we would go so far into the paranormal side of a/b/o. I like it and I hope they lean into it quite a bit more. Make it part of the plot.

Unlike the kissing thing which seems to have been gotten over rather quickly.

I gotta say I'm enjoying the corporate sponsorship jockeying and tension more than I thought I would. I'm curious as to who Jef and Charlie are working for and what their motivation is. The plot itself is keeping me intrigued and that is rare for me with BL.

So no trash talk this ep, I was largely absorbed and entertained. I didn't event need booze. Shocking behavior on my part.

Episode 4 - I (who never ship) am shipping the impossible

Here’s the thing. I just want this to be a better story than it is. Right now it’s kind of like a soap opera. I don’t hate lakorn, I really don't. To Sir With Love is a glorious chewing of the diamanté scenery (completed with death glitter). But...

If this is gonna be a soap opera it needs to lean into the messy side more than the tailored high concept side. Support characters and evil needs more screen time.

Instead, right now, I don’t know where I am with this show because it doesn't know where it wants to be. I’m kind of dangling in the middle of a dirty situation. It’s uncomfortable for me, and the show feels uncomfortable for the performers. 

Also... I have questions.

Yes, of course I want to know what Charlie & Jeff are up to. Why can Jeff see the future?

But more importantly I NEED to know why Babe has a flying saucer bed?

That kind of lighting makes nobody look good, especially not at that angle. It’s very traumatic and I’m not wild about the shag rug either. I have concerns about Babe's taste. I guess is what I am saying. 

On a COMPLETELY DIFFERENT note:

There’s absolutely no chemistry to justify this, but I have decided that I am going to personally advocate for, and ship, Way and the interloping not-really-Korean. They are both sort of own-moral-code types. I have tiny crush on Kim, and Nut is the prettiest, and Way is Best Boy so there it is, I would like them to hook up, please & thank you.

I guess Charlie really does love Babe? Very dramatic if idiotic saving from the burning car. But Babe has gone to the broken Alpha place of extremely unlikeablability (frankly he was almost there at the start). If I were Charles B Spectacled I would be OUT by now.

I don’t find their relationship or Babe’s lack of senses a particularly interesting aspect of the plot.

- clem and louis are already together at this point, and since she's the only person you know, you stick with them.

Affection: How do they show their love and affection? How intense would it get?

This guy right here is touch starved to the max, so affection can get pretty intense, and almost all. The. Time. It can range from little compliments to smooches, to fully winded cuddle sessions. And he's constantly touching you, too. Holding your hand, an arm around your waist, you name it.

Whoo boy. You saw the musical, (or didn't, go watch it it's great) this guy was covered in blood, not to mention he didn't hesitate to spear AJ with that handy chainsaw of his. So very messy for sure, with almost every day that goes by his kill count goes higher.

Blood: How messy are they willing to get when it comes to their darling?

Cruelty: How would they treat their darling once abducted? Would they mock them?

Only when necessary. He adores his darling and is always cuddly and affectionate to them. However, if you were to fight back one too many times, he would get frustrated and mock you, using your words against you. It's not his fault, you're just being so difficult! He feels a tiny bit guilty later though, but it's easy to ignore when you're pliant and soft in his arms.

Darling: Aside from abduction, would they do anything against their darlings will?

Not really, just a bit of kisses and smothering affection here and there. I have a feeling he wouldn't hesitate to break a wrist or an ankle if he deemed it necessary, though...

Exposed: How much of their heart do they bare to their darling? How vulnerable are they when it comes to their darling?

It's slightly complicated. When he's focused on getting you used to your new surroundings or just bringing you there, he doesn't really talk about his feelings (other than his undying love) much. However in softer moments, it can turn his brain to mush, and sometimes he just can't keep a seal on his lips, wanting to talk about anything and everything with his darling.

Fight: How would they feel if their darling fought back?

Honestly, he expects it. He knows you won't exactly welcome him with open arms, and he's completely willing to help you see your true feelings again. However, he is also very impatient wanting nothing more than to dive into darlings arms, so like said in C he can get very frustrated and mock darling. He knows it'll take time to help you, but couldn't you just be a bit less difficult? He's trying, he really is, but he can't be the only one doing all the work!

Game: Is this a game to them? How much would they enjoy watching their darling try to escape?

Yes and no. Like said earlier he gets frustrated if you fight back, and it honestly breaks his heart a little whenever he catches you trying to escape. If you were to somehow get out, you better believe he'll be straight on your tail. He'll taunt you, turning it into a game almost, but don't be fooled. He is pissed. You are in big trouble when he brings you home.

Hell: What would be their darlings worst experience with them?

Not a lot, since bad bad experiences are rare, so it'll probably be a horrible if you somehow push him to that point. As mentioned earlier, sometimes it can be punishments like breaking an ankle or a wrist, but the worst it'll get to is him killing your friends and/or family. In front of you.

Ideals: What kind of future do they have in mind for/with their darling?

Not that much, really. He doesn't see anything specific, although he definitely wants to get married some day. Maybe a pet, or even some kids? He's more of a we'll see how it goes type of guy.

Jealousy: Do they get jealous? Do they lash out or find a way to cope?

Okay you aren't leaving this house when he 'brings you home', so this most likely happened when stalking you or in the early stages of your relationship. But Jesus H. Christ he will get insanely jealous, constantly believing that everyone you come into contact with will steal you away from him. Around you, he'll just give a polite death warning glare at the person, all while imagining the gruesome ways he can get rid of them. The second he's left to his own devices however, he's working on or already is getting rid of them. Hey, its a labour of love!

Kisses: How do they act around or with their darling?

Depends on your stance with him. If you're fighting him, well, he is impatient, so darling will be punished with silent treatment to overbearing affection to starvation and all sorts, to the point where poor darling is having whiplash. He just wants it to work, damnit! However, if you love him, he is incredibly doting and affectionate. It's a gooey sickening type of affection to be honest, with hugs and kisses and that stupid lovestruck grin on his face.

Love letters: How would they go about courting or approaching darling?

When it comes to approaching, you'll probably have noticed him first. Or rather, felt his eyes burning into the back of your head. He's incredibly stuttery and blushy around you, and he stares so. godamn. much. When courting you, it'll most likely be classic stuff. Guys a hopeless romantic, constantly writing you letters, sending you or directly giving you roses, and sometimes (thank god not that often) more.... Grotesque things, such as a corpse of a small unidentifiable animal, or even a hand. He's like a cat, smh.

Mask: Are their true colours drastically different from the way they act around everybody else?

Well, he thinks they are. Doting boyfriend in public, unhinged murderer (a nickname oh so lovingly given by you during 'bonding sessions') in secret? Noooo. Nobody saw that coming at all 🙄. The main thing that gives it away is this constant crazy glint in his eye, and some things you were able to catch in his ramble where he was professing his undying love to you. He is sometimes violent around people when your not there, whether it be tone, attitude, or actions. You calm him, so when your not there he constantly worries. You also unfortunately fuel him.

Naughty: How would they punish their darling?

Like said earlier, he turns to drastic actions if he deems necessary. He'll do more than break an arm or a leg, he has had quite good practice in torture, after all! He will also (again as said earlier) harm loved ones as you watch, since he knows better than anyone how stubborn you can be. It's easy for him, too. They might have value to you, but to him? Their just as annoying as any old pest. And pests need to be dealt with.

Oppression: How many rights would they take away from their darling?

If you're good, the most that will be taken away is freedom. If you struggle, he can't decide on a method, so he eventually settles on senses. A blindfold here, some headphones there, and a few hours alone? It has to work this time, he's sure of it!

Patience: How patient are they with their darling?

Oh, he's as patient as a saint. .....until, a few hours/days pass, and he starts getting tired. He has mood swings a LOT so you'll need to watch out for that.

Quit: If their darling dies, leaves, or successfully escapes, would they ever be able to move on?

Oh you bet my ass you're not getting out of that place (or staying out for long) unless you die. If you somehow leave or successfully escapes, he'll be after you like that, in a mad rush. At first it was annoyance, but after an hour or so he's going to be so worried you'd think he wasn't a kidnapper. When he gets you back, he'd be like a worried mother, mostly relieved that you're in his arms again, and give a light scolding. ....if you die, he'll be so far in delusion that he won't be able to see what's real anymore. He takes your corpse around with him like you're still alive, acting as normal. He would never move on, and I think if his delusion that you're actually gone was ever to be shattered, he would kill himself.

Regret: Would they ever feel guilty about abducting their darling? Would the ever let their darling go?

No and no to both. He's far too deluded and lovestruck to even think for a second about morale! If anything, he believes himself to be the hero of the story, saving his beloved from everything and anything that could hurt them. If he did somehow let darling go, it sure as hell wouldn't be willingly. Most likely darling escaped.

Stigma: What brought about this side of them? (childhood, curiosity, etc)?

He's always been very intense with relationships, although platonic. Most likely you're his first romantic partner, and he's already in too deep to ever let you go. <3 (haha bitchless virgin man he gets no bitches so he kidnaps them so they can't ever leave tee hee 🤪)

Tears: How would they feel about seeing their darling scream, cry and/or isolate themselves?

This was most likely caused by him since he's the only person you see anymore. Although he's stung at first, whether or not he was the cause he'll immediately see it as you trying to back out of the relationship and leave him. He'll come straight to you, put you in his lap and just cuddle. He believes he's bringing you comfort although it probably is overwhelming you instead. If he notices, he doesn't show it, only holding you tighter.

Unique: Would they do anything different from the usual yandere?

Nope! The only difference is, he's like 60% more hyped up on funky brain love juice so he's extra clingy.

Vice: What weakness can their darling exploit in order to escape?

There's.... Not much. He's clingy and over affectionate, but those won't help darling. The only thing I can see working is darling lying about seeing someone outside and sneaking out while he looks around. Even then it's a shot in the dark, and if it fails (which it most likely will) it'll completely reset his trust with you, and you'll be back to the basement.

Wits end: Would they ever hurt their darling?

Physically, only if they've completely drove him up the wall, yes. He'd feel super guilty about it afterwards though, and would hug and kiss you and comfort you. Mentally, however? He does it all the time. Planting seeds of doubt about others, guilt tripping you, it goes on.

Xoanon: How much would they revere or worship their darling? To what length would they go to win their darling over?

For the first one, a lot. He absolutely adores you, you're his everything. Not to the point of him seeing you as his god, though, so be careful where you tread on that line. For the second, he'd go absolutely apeshit. He's crazy about his darling, he needs to show them just how much he cares about them, maybe then they'd see how much they're meant to be together!

Yearn: How long do they pine after their darling before they snap?

I'd say a few months, give or take. It doesn't take that long to have him absolutely whipped for you, and he can only thrive off stalking and watching you for so long before he gets antsy. He's insatiable.

Zenith: Would they ever break their darling?

Absolutely not. He sees you as his s/o, not some pretty object. Besides, he fell in love with you for you, why would he even dare think to take that away?

You know what clouis scenario I really love? While what the game can give us is really cute, I'm super soft for the scenario that it takes Clementine a while, maybe months to realize she likes Louis. Louis falls for her as quickly as he does in the game but she rejects him by the piano, not because she's entirely uninterested but she's just not sure what she feels since it's been such a short time. Like the game shows, Louis continues to be a great friend to her and he decides to hide his feelings for her, though he sometimes can't help but slip (telling her and AJ he'll do anything to protect them, talking about a home he'd like to make with her even when she didn't romance him, that tender hug he can give her before getting on the boat, like hello? he totally crushes on her regardless but respects her boundaries). Then after months of knowing each other, maybe after they went through another dangerous situation where Clementine feared for Louis' safety, she can't help herself anymore and just jumps him and smooches him. Louis is awestruck and tells her he wanted to kiss HER for so long(!!) he can't believe she just kissed him instead(??) and that she actually feels the same and holy shit he's so happy after months of hiding his feelings for her(!!!!) and just- ugh it'd be the cutest thing ever and I want to read a fanfiction or comic about this so bad, haha. Seriously though, the scenario is so good and whether someone will create it or not it's still really sweet to just imagine dammit <33 tl:dr: Louis hiding his feelings for Clementine for months thinking she's not into him when she suddenly grabs and kisses him one day and the boy is just over the moon (as is Clementine upon finally realizing her feelings too) x3
