Y'know what that Doom thing from earlier today reminds me of?
Those goddamn fan-made "VGA remakes" of the old 16-color Sierra adventures. Because nine outta ten times, if not ten outta ten times, they're not 256 color.
If you're gonna call your game "VGA", have an effective resolution of 320×200 and use at most 256 colors at a time. Offer scaling, offer aspect correction. Hell, use non-indexed graphic assets if you must. But if I take a random screenshot of your so called "VGA" game and see a color count over 256, I'm gonna call you out.
Anything higher than 256 colors wouldn't be VGA any more. That'd be SVGA.
Some might say it's only the fans that call these products "VGA remakes". Well...
[...] plans to remake this game were made even before our first project, King's Quest I VGA.
When will the Quest for Glory II VGA remake be released?
Lovingly recrafted in simulated VGA colors by Infamous Adventures!
I probably said all this before. Likely, even. It just gets to me, y'know?

Side Quest: King's Quest 1 AGDI Remake
Hey, guess what? New kind of entry. Sort of: my KQVI replay screensharing fits here too but tagging-wise, new, because I didn't think of it then.
There are sometimes going to be games I play I want to talk about but not do a full let's play style journal on, so that's what side quests will be.
In this case I got curious about the fan made remakes of King's Quest 1 - 3, which can be acquired here: https://agdinteractive.com/games/games.html.
So yeah here's yet another version of King's Quest 1.
Story and structure it's the same game. It's very faithful in that regard. However, it uses a point and click interface, although you can also walk with keys. It's essentially the same interface as V and VI down to config options and saving. There is also an option to turn off dead-ends. I don't know exactly how that affects puzzles but no doubt a worthwhile option for people who don't want to worry about that.
Visually it's very similar to and clearly based off KQ V and VI as well. Some of the screens have visually changed environmentally, which did cause me some confusion with my map.
And some things are still entirely familiar.
There is voice acting including Josh Mandel for Graham as he was in KQ V and the tiny bit in KQVI which was very cool of him to do. Although, his audio quality is noticeably different from the rest. He only speaks at the beginning and end however. All the descriptive text is decently narrated as well, though I am, I admit, spoiled by KQVI's narrator. I just love him.
Characters also have portraits.
The troll's an interesting take...
Here's the rat.
It's a bit of a mix of the AGI and SCI versions, more SCI than AGI. The Rumpelstiltskin puzzle uses the AGI solution with the backward cypher instead of simply his name backward. The stairs from the cloud land are the scarier SCI stairs however.
The beanstalk is still my enemy, though I had an easier time with it despite the SCI version also letting you click to move. I only fell a couple times!
On the other hand I had a lot more trouble with finding the path on the clouds and fell several times there...
Weirdly, the game in a way felt emptier to me. I think because Graham barely talks in the game and there isn't the text parser to play around with, so there isn't the opportunity to just try as much or type silly things. And there isn't a whole lot to interact with in ways beyond looking at them. (no talking to everything in sight like KQVI for example). Obviously your mileage would vary depending on how much you do goof around.
Some of the hot spots feel super finicky, so that could get irritating. I did discover when I was double-checking the help screen for something else that icons have a tiny red dot that act as the hit box point. Knowing that helped, but I still could have done with some broader or more generous hit boxes.
I think it could be good for people who want to play it but don't want to use a text parser and/or want to use the ability to turn off the dead ends. A bit more of a modern experience. Personally I think the SCI version is my preferred version, but it was an interesting jaunt anyway. II and III from what I've read and heard will have more interesting diversions and changes from the originals.
That all said impressive work for a fan project!
Three versions played now and I didn't get perfect points. I missed grabbing the slingshot. Hmph.

King's Quest Fan Remakes
After talking about them a bit recently, I felt compelled to play through the old KQ fan remakes (1-3 from AGDI and 3 from IA), and I wanted to share my more in depth thoughts for anyone interested in these love letters to the original games.
King's Quest I: Quest for the Crown Remake from AGD Interactive
A lovely update to the original! While clearly the least polished of AGDI's offerings, it's nice to be able to play KQ1 with KQ5-style graphics and voice acting (the original voice of Graham, Josh Mandel, voices him in all four of the games in this post, ftr). There is an option to turn off any chance of softlocking yourself before you even start the game, which is a welcome feature. Puzzle-wise, this one stays the most faithful to the original out of the three from AGDI with a few updates here and there (like that stupid name puzzle! lol). The vocal performances and sound effects can be a bit fuzzy, but I found them enjoyable nonetheless.
Overall a solid fan remake with limited extra bells and whistles!
King's Quest II: Romancing the Stones from AGDI
Easily the most ambitious of the three from AGDI. Pretty much all of the core elements from KQ1 are further polished here - artwork, acting, music, and sound effects. The story and puzzles, however, have been changed enough that the end product is sizably different from the original. In some cases, this is fun and interesting (more lore and character interactions! new and unique puzzles!), but not everyone will enjoy all the changes. I, for example, find the underwater section kind of fun, but the new content around the count... not so much (for reasons I'll avoid due to spoilers, but know they're more mechanical than anything). There's less freedom in when you can do things, the added story making the game far more linear than it originally was. But then I'm sure many would agree that if any KQ game could do with extra content, it'd be 2, so I can't fault them swinging for the fences, even if not every hit was a home run.
All in all, this version of KQ2 doesn't really work if you're simply looking to experience the original game with updated graphics, but it's a fun playthrough nonetheless, and newcomers might enjoy the added lore/story bits. Just be aware that I could probably sum up the original game's story in about two sentences while this one would take far longer. XD
King's Quest III: To Heir is Human Redux from AGDI
If KQ1 wasn't fully polished and KQ2 was a little overworked, then KQ3 is juuuuuust right! (For anyone who knows the game, yes, this is a purposeful pun. XD) The graphics, sounds, music, vocal performances - all are the best yet (though still with some minor hiccups as any fan game is wont to have - the music was sadly cutting out during the climactic sequence for me). It even has a neat little feature where the timer changes color depending on how close you are to being zapped into oblivion that is not only useful but adds a sense of urgency in it's own way (especially if you forgot the item that makes travel a lot easier for like 2 meals I mean what lol). While it does carry over some of the story threads from AGDI's second entry, this game still works well enough on it's own, with the majority of the new content being added in naturally rather than supplanting whole sections of the original. In fact, personally speaking, I think the added content only enhances the game, your encounters with Medusa and the yeti especially getting a nice boost. And the extra lore only helps you feel for the protagonists plight all the more. The ending is a bit drawn out, perhaps, and I may not agree with the order you're supposed to choose the four items in to get the treasure (insert rant here XD), but those are minor nitpicks at best.
This is easily the best of the three, AGDI having perfected their KQ formula at this point. It works as a remake of the original while still adding in a bit of new content that doesn't feel unwelcome. I would highly recommend it to anyone interested in giving the King's Quest series a try.
King's Quest III: To Heir is Human Remake from Infamous Adventures
Look. I know that it's not as impressive as AGDI's version. The time limit is laughably long, the spells are impossible to mess up, and some of the clickable areas can be a bit wonky. But I really like this version, ok?? I like the design and voice of Gwydion, I like the storybook quality that the cutscene art has, I like that it feels lonely when it should. And as much as some of the changes in AGDI's version were really nice, I like that it's basically just the original game without extra stuff added in.
This is like AGDI's KQ1 - a really solid remake of a game that gives you the feel of the original but with an updated interface and graphics. It's not as impressive as the one above, but it doesn't have to be. The original KQ3 is an awesome game, so an update of just that can't be bad. It can easily be played as a standalone game, and I will continue recommending this version 'til I die, lol.
#king's quest#kings quest#kq#kq1#kq2#kq3#agd interactive#infamous adventures#gosh i had a lot of fun playing through these the last week lol#i admit that 2 had me a bit frustrated at times because i kept wanting to do things the original way lol#even though i knew it was different#but some of the original puzzles are just not super intuitive or require backtracking#like i KNEW there was a different solution to the wolves but nothing else on me worked#so i looked it up and was like 'why on earth would i go THERE for the solution when it told me to go HERE'#both versions of three though#GOSH i love 3 XD#that feeling of finally finishing that cookie and watching the result... so good man#both times i was giddy XD#and it's hardly my first time playing lol#i just like it ok#i mean i did choose the name gwydion for a reason all those years ago XD#anyway on to the new point and click version of 4 i've never played before!#so excited!

This is such a stupid thing, but I've been searching for *ages* trying to find these game files, and I'm hoping somebody will understand, or know the game version I'm talking about.
So King's Quest 2. The AGDI remake (when they were called Tierra) was originally released in 2002. V2.0 was released in 2003, and then they did a bigger update (v3.0) that released in 2009.
There are some *sliiiiggghhhttt* differences between verisons 2.0 and 3.0. The biggest one being the full narration, but some incredibly minor things, like some changed artwork and voices for some characters.
The only solid example I can currently find:
This is the Door of Destiny from how I remember him, from the 2.0 version.
And this is what he looks like in version 3.0.
Long story short, I've been digging so deep to try to find a download, or somebody with a backup of the older 2.0 files, but literally nobody seems to have it anymore. I used to play this SO fucking much as a kid, and the newer update is still incredibly good, but the few things that got changed are driving me bonkers, I feel like I'm being gaslit because I'm like "I KNOW this isn't how it was the last time I played this."
So anyways, if anybody knows how to find or just happens to have the pre-2009 King's Quest II remake files, PLEASE hmu.

the coolest thing about our world that when you find it difficult to interact with the world in a way that people consider to be "good" (i.e. be a productive labourer for capitalism and a good little consumer, all the while taking care of yourself and "being independent"), perhaps to the extent that it has been pathologised, is that when you go on the internet to search "how to cope with having Agonies Disorder," all of the results are about how hard it is to be friends with agonydisordered people, because they are abusive. and threads full of mental and physical health professionals openly admitting that they are hostile to treating "clients" with agonies disorder because they believe them to be liars. you'll find a plethora of support forums for people who have family member with AgD (the abbreviation has now become a shorthand for 'bad person'), but no support spaces that will help those people live their lives. pages and pages full of advice columns on how to break ties with 'an AgD,' but nothing about how to make interacting with the world easier for people with agonies disorder.

How to Find the Best Dentist Near Me: Your Complete Guide
Finding the right dentist is essential for maintaining good oral health and receiving quality dental care. Whether you're new to an area or looking to switch dentists, navigating through the options can be overwhelming. Here's a comprehensive guide to help you find the best "dentist near me".
1. Ask for Recommendations
Start your search by asking friends, family, and colleagues for recommendations. Personal referrals are valuable because they come from trusted sources who have firsthand experience with a particular dentist. Inquire about their overall satisfaction with the dentist's services, the friendliness of the staff, and the cleanliness of the office.
2. Check Online Reviews
Utilize online resources to read reviews and testimonials about local dentists. Websites like Google Reviews, Yelp, or Healthgrades provide insights into other patients' experiences. Pay attention to recurring themes in reviews, such as wait times, bedside manner, and the quality of dental work. However, be discerning in your assessment, as some reviews may be biased or exaggerated.
3. Evaluate Credentials and Experience
Research the dentist's credentials and experience. Ensure they have the necessary qualifications and licenses to practice dentistry in your state. Look for any certifications or affiliations with professional organizations like the American Dental Association (ADA) or Academy of General Dentistry (AGD). Additionally, inquire about their experience and specialization, especially if you require specific treatments like orthodontics or dental implants.
4. Consider Location and Office Hours
Convenience plays a significant role in maintaining regular dental appointments. Choose a dentist whose office is located near your home or workplace to minimize travel time. Additionally, check their office hours to ensure they align with your schedule. Flexible hours, including evenings or weekends, can accommodate busy lifestyles and urgent dental needs.
5. Evaluate the Office Atmosphere
Visit the dental office to assess the atmosphere and cleanliness. A well-maintained and organized office reflects professionalism and attention to detail. Observe the friendliness of the staff and how they interact with patients. A welcoming and comfortable environment can make dental visits more pleasant and stress-free.
6. Assess Technology and Treatment Options
Modern dental practices utilize advanced technology to deliver efficient and effective treatments. Inquire about the dental technologies and treatment options available at the practice. For example, digital X-rays, intraoral cameras, and laser dentistry are indicators of a commitment to providing high-quality care. A dentist who stays updated with the latest advancements can offer more precise diagnoses and minimally invasive procedures.
7. Meet the Dentist in Person
Schedule a consultation or introductory visit with the dentist to assess compatibility. Use this opportunity to discuss your dental concerns, treatment preferences, and expectations. Pay attention to how the dentist communicates and addresses your questions. A good dentist should prioritize patient education and involve you in decision-making regarding your oral health.
8. Consider Cost and Insurance Coverage
Dental care costs can vary widely depending on the treatments needed and the dentist's pricing structure. Inquire about the accepted payment methods, insurance coverage, and financing options available. A transparent discussion about costs upfront can help you plan for dental expenses and avoid unexpected bills.
9. Evaluate Emergency Care Services
Emergencies can happen unexpectedly, so it's important to know how the dentist handles urgent dental issues outside of regular office hours. Inquire about emergency care services and protocols for after-hours or weekend emergencies. A dentist who provides timely emergency care can offer peace of mind during dental crises.
Conclusion
Finding the best dentist near you requires careful consideration of several factors, including recommendations, credentials, office atmosphere, and treatment options. By following this comprehensive guide, you can make an informed decision that aligns with your dental needs and preferences. Remember that a positive dentist-patient relationship built on trust and communication is key to achieving optimal oral health and a confident smile. Take the time to research and evaluate different dental practices to find the best match for you and your family's dental care needs.

I just saw someone say that men with deep voices have the biggest dicks and I was surprised that it was the first time I saw anyone say that because ir sounds like something people would’ve said about Joe here. It also got me thinking about whether or not I find Jack and Paul’s voices kind of high pitched? In my head they kind of were but in the first video that showed up of Jack (it was one in Graham Norton) his voice sounded deeper than I remembered, and I’m not sure where Paul stands (the first video that showed up for him was the chicken shop date). I think maybe they both have normal voices but go a bit high pitched sometimes? I don’t know, I’m confused, I could’ve sworn their voices were higher. But I digress
idk guys literally the only scientific study that managed to correlate dick size to another attribute was that (very funny but I mean they did manage to show something there I guess) one about the nose tip length 🤷🏻♀️ Everything else is literally just based on people’s personal experiences or urban myths because I’m sure scientists have tried to prove the feet/hands thing before but like idk man idk. I’ve never heard the deep voice thing before but to me it’s like “deep voiced guys have BDE” (they tend to actually lol ngl) and then going from there to “and when I fucked them they delivered” (which they might do idk but you’re running a risk there).
story time on dicks not correlating to size (and then I’ll get back to Jack and Paul): I once went on a dating app date with a guy who was listed as 5’6 and I was like “well I’m 5’4 so let’s not be silly here, he’s got a cute face and seems like a nice lad” and I got to the date and he had upsold himself and was actually my height which… in a guy I really don’t find attractive at all. But he was a nice guy and he did have a cute face and I’m not a bad sport right so I was willing to put out 🤷🏻♀️ BIGGEST FUCKING DICK I HAD PERSONALLY ENCOUNTERED DUDES. It was fucking MASSIVE. I’ve seen bigger on porn and like I saw way bigger and much weirder ones in Agde now but it was the biggest I’ve ever had to deal with personally and at the time it was the biggest I’d ever seen irl and it was on this very petite very tiny man (boy, really - we were what like 20?) and it freaked me out a bit ngl. I have seen two other dicks kinda that size irl that I had to interact with and again both times I was just like “man idk what to do with all this” but those were on HUGE boys so I semi knew it’s a possibility but that short guy (he was Israeli just as a fun fact lol since we were discussing that stuff recently) what was most bizarre was how little it correlated. Tiny guy. Huge fucking penis.
So idk idk penis size correlates with nothing except nose tip length according to science and tbf this guy was Israeli soooo… maybe the science worked. He did have a big nose.
Jack and Paul have average sounding voices imo that can get a bit high pitched when they get excited. Jack especially.

My Alumna Initiation Journey- Week 4
I had a phone conversation with the representative for the local chapter for AGD. I think the conversation went really well. She is going to speak with the other members of the chapter and will try to arrange a group lunch where we can all meet in person, get to know each other and so I can have a little more context about the chapter and be able to make a decision as to whether or not I would like to move forward in joining the group. The only thing I am concerned about is the distance between the members. They don't all live in the city so it is a little more difficult for them to meet with each other and to have events together. I don't know how it will work for me with events if they are in areas that might be more challenging for me to get to. I don't like driving too much and too far. This is definitely something to think about.
Despite the distance between members, something I do like is that the representative is trying to have the chapter do more activities together as a group. She's also trying to get more participation from the undergraduates. I really appreciated her attitude and desire for wanting to do more for the sorority. That made a really nice impression.
Most of the week has been pretty quiet after my conversation with AGD. But on the last day of the week I received an email from G Phi B inviting me to participate in an information session to learn more about the alumna initiate program. I am excited to register. The event takes place next month so I won't have an update right away. I hope to learn more about connecting with other members to possibly gain a sponsor. Rankings for this week are a little different based on the new interactions I've had with some of the groups.

As a resident Old Person TM, I hope you don't mind me adding a bit in relation to the classic games. For the record, I, too, think that the 2015 remake is likely the best place to start for a modern gamer. I love the classic series with all my heart, but it does have a higher barrier of entry. But for anyone willing to give the old games a shot, here's my two cents!
The best one to start with would be 6, in my opinion. It has a nice story with fun locations, puzzles, graphics, and even multiple endings. It also has a good voice cast, with Robbie Benson (the Beast from Disney's Beauty and the Beast) and Tony Jay (Frollo from Disney's Hunchback) among the standouts.
While I admit 7 is not one of my personal favorites, it might also be an ok one to start with as it is very forgiving to people who haven't played a point and click adventure game before. It has 2D Disney-esque animations, and is broken into chapters with you alternating playing between two different characters.
1-4 are text based games which on their own would be more difficult to navigate, but on top of that, the graphics are extremely dated, some puzzles are stupid hard, and you can play your way into a dead end without realizing it until much later. 5 is near and dear to my heart, but while the graphics are lovely and the voice acting is quaint in a "they were trying their best" sort of way (as far as I'm aware, they just had people working on the game do the voice work as opposed to voice actors), it also has a few strange puzzles (pie??) as well as ways to softlock yourself (pie!!). And never play 8. Trust me. It's for your own good. XD
All that being said, if anyone is interested in playing the older games but doesn't want to try and figure out exactly which word the game wants you to type to get the correct response, you're in luck! Fan made remakes of 1-3 have existed (for free!) for years, and they are all really cool in their own ways. 4, unfortunately, never got the full treatment, but apparently a point and click version of the game came out 3 years ago. I have not played this one (as I only just found out about it - will have to rectify that!), but it seems to be the exact same game but using a mouse instead of a text parser.
King's Quest I, King's Quest II, King's Quest III - The AGD Interactive remakes are generally very highly regarded amongst older fans. Aside from now being point and click based, they completely update the art, puzzles, story, and even include decent enough voice acting for fanmade games - they even got the original voice of Graham for all of his lines! However, for better or for worse, they do expand the stories, adding significant amounts of content to especially 2 (and 3? it's been a while...). I, personally, find this fun and entertaining, but not everyone likes the new, non-canon content. Regardless, these remakes are very accessible to newer players looking to experience the old games but find them a bit TOO outdated.
King's Quest III - KQ3 actually got two remakes, this one being by Infamous Adventures. It isn't quite as polished as the AGDI version, but it stays truer to the original game, and therefore I think it's worth a mention. I quite enjoyed it.
So there you have it! 6 and 7 are great for beginners, and the remakes for 1-3 are worth checking out if you don't want to mess with a text input. And if you manage to get through those, I highly recommend 5 (just be prepared to possibly get stuck lol). The oldest of old fans may call this blasphemous, but there is no reason to suffer through a text based game if you have no interest in doing so. I just hope that someone might see this and give any of the classic games a shot, no matter their form. ^_^
@cygnascrimbles, that's a great question, and there's no one right answer. I'll give you my two cents. :-)
tl;dr: I'd heartily suggest starting with Chapter One: A Knight to Remember from King's Quest (2015) because it's the game of my heart and is intended as a starting point. But many people would suggest King's Quest I ('84) because it was the very first, or King's Quest V ('90) or VI ('93) because they are often hailed as the best the older, original series has to offer.
So if the thing that's stoking your interest in King's Quest is my blog, what you're seeing is the King's Quest game released by The Odd Gentlemen starting in 2015.
It's a reboot of the 80's/90's original games, but it requires no previous knowledge to play and is a fresh story. You play as Graham, who starts off as young lad dreaming of adventure and glory, and ends up having to unexpectedly take the throne he had planned on serving. Over the course of five chapters, you navigate the story of his life from those eager teen days straight through to old age, telling bedtimes stories to his grandchildren. It's a charming, quirky game with plenty of heart, a really gorgeous fairytale world of all hand-painted textures (they literally printed out the shapes for all the textures they needed, painted them with paint brushes, and then scanned them in to render in the game world! At least, as I understand it?), with a great sense of humour and some delightful characters. Graham himself is such a loveable dork in this version of the story, too,
But I do have to give a caveat. This game, delightful as it is, is also seriously flawed. It was released episodically, and there were complications in the dev process as it went on, so the earlier entries are much stronger than the later ones. Some parts of it are kind of stupid, there are times when it drops the ball on storytelling principles and characterization, and some wonderfully over ambitious ideas were just that - overly ambitious - and never got paid off story-wise.
But I love it anyway.
So my suggestion? Chapter One: A Knight to Remember (2015) is a free download, so I'd heartily say, "Try it out and see if you like it!" Most people think it's the best one of the reboot - it's a gorgeous, lighthearted story somewhat in the spirit of The Princess Bride (homages galore, and Wallace Shawn who played Vizzini features as one of the main cast.) It's a tale about a tournament, and a dragon's eye, and new friendships. It's self-contained if you want to stop there, and it's just full of joy and puzzles and a couple of surprisingly moving moments. If you want more after that, maybe check out a little of a playthrough of Chapter Two, which is also great but has very different atmosphere, and judge if it's something you want to shell out a shiny gold coin for.
All that being said, there's a sizable portion of the population who would suggest going back to King's Quest I (1984), which is where it all started and which turned forty yesterday! It was a huge mover and shaker in video game history back in its day. It's about Graham's attempts to recover the kingdom's three stolen treasures.
Others would suggest starting with King's Quest V (Graham journeys to rescue his family from a wizard) or VI (Graham's son Alexander quests to rescue a princess in a tower. ) They were made in the nineties and many players consider them to be King's Quest at its best (VI especially is generally beloved.)
You might find you enjoy these games much more than the reboot, but since I'm not as knowledgeable about the older games, I doubt I am the person to do them justice. If they intrigue you, you might want to do your own research or chat with someone who really loves them!
Anyhow, I don't want to talk your ear off. Thanks for asking, and let me know if I can be helpful any which way.
*whispers* ... and go download Chapter One: A Knight to Remember. It's free. You might like it. It's here:
https://store.steampowered.com/app/345390/Kings_Quest/
#king's quest#highjacking the post to promote the old games because i too am old XD#but seriously i do love 2015 so this is not to take away from that#merely to educate those unfamiliar with those that came before#happy adventure gaming to you all

Cheap Ideas For Ensuring Employee Safety
The thing with a lot of people who own businesses is that they usually forget to emphasize a lot on the benefits of safety in the workplace, the good thing is that now they are starting to see the benefits and looking up this site on the internet they are able to read more on how to go about it. The thing with most people in business is that they usually find it challenging to bring up the safety matters in the workplace because of how expensive it can be, a good thing is that there are some good steps that they can follow in order to achieve success without spending a lot, they can also read more here on the internet about the same. Most business owners never communicate with their employees a lot and they need to know that this is a great way of maintaining safety in the workplace, the one thing that they need to do is to click on this website that will really help them get good ideas on how to keep interactions going with the workers.
Another great way of maintaining safety in the workplace without spending money is by always staying up-to-date with the current safety measures, this is a good thing agd and best part is that there is a free homepage that they can check out to discover more on these measures. Another thing that individuals need to check on is that they are equipped with the necessary tools to be able to implement the safety in the workplace, and one thing for sure is that if they want to know everything about what is required they can check out the internet for more info. WHY DENTAL IMPLANTS TO REPLACE MISSING TEETH?
First impressions are arguably one of the most significant interactions we have with other human beings. Within only a few seconds, we are forming opinions about this other person, based predominantly on their appearance. Sometimes this can work out in our favor, other times it may work towards our detriment. Did you know that nearly one-third of Americans notice your teeth immediately? And nearly three-quarters are more likely to trust someone with a nice smile. You don’t want to go through life at a disadvantage because of an imperfect smile. Dental implants can provide you with solutions to missing or chipped teeth, so stop stressing and instead feel confident that your perfect smile is putting the right foot forward.
Why Should You Replace Your Missing Teeth With Dental Implants?
You should never feel ashamed of your smile. Dental implants San Diego are artificial teeth that provide a permanent solution to teeth that are missing or damaged. They are rooted in the bone by a titanium post that provides structure for a ceramic crown. First, a frame is attached to your jawbone below the missing tooth. This will provide you with a base that is secure and stable for your missing tooth. Your implant will then be attached. This artificial tooth will give you the same functionality, feeling, and look as a real tooth. The best part is that it’s long-lasting. Dental implants are an investment that can provide you with a host of benefits, including the following:
Renewed Confidence
Restored Appearance
Eat and Speak Normally
Reduced Risk of Further Tooth Loss
Stops Bone Loss Progression
Revitalized Oral
Renewed Confidence. You’ll feel better than ever with your new smile and never have to stress about hiding your teeth around new people or keeping your lips tight during photos.
Restored Appearance. Dental implants will give the same appearance as all of your other teeth. You can get back to the full smile you’ve been dreaming of.
Eat and Speak Normally. Missing and damaged teeth can affect our speech in ways we don’t even realize. After a while, it may have become normal for you to avoid chewing with certain areas of your mouth. Stop adapting to your situation and fix it.
Reduced Risk of Further Tooth Loss. Missing and damaged teeth can lead to infections as well as a range of other health issues. Don’t put your health at risk.
Stops Bone Loss Progression. Dental bone often shrinks as you lose your teeth. An implant’s presence can help maintain the structure of the bone. The process of bone renewal is stimulated by chewing forces as they’re transferred through the implant to the bone.
Revitalized Oral Health. The longer you go with missing teeth, the greater the risk of your oral health becoming even worse. These problems won’t necessarily stay limited to your mouth though. Implants can improve your oral health, and thereby be beneficial to your overall health.
Maintaining A Beautiful Smile In Today’s Society Is More Important Than Ever
But every day people with missing teeth are facing the same struggles:
Feeling Self-Conscious
Changes in Appearance
Difficulty Speaking
Difficulty Eating
Nutritional Changes
WHAT CAUSES MISSING TEETH?
Missing teeth can happen to anyone. Sometimes it may be a result of poor oral hygiene, but there are many other causes as well. It may not even be a medical condition at all. A sports injury or a car accident could leave anyone missing some teeth. No matter the case, you shouldn’t continue to suffer when solutions are readily available.
Some potential causes of missing teeth include:
Extractions
Bone Loss
Resorption
Severe Periodontal (Gum) Disease
Osteoporosis
Injury or Trauma
Caries (Cavities)
Are You a Candidate or Dental Implants?
Wondering “who can have dental implants?” You’ll be pleased to know that they’re available to almost anyone with one or more missing teeth. That being said, it is critical that the bone tissue is fully developed in a patient. That means they aren’t available to people younger than 18 years old.
Other factors we consider are the overall health of your mouth. That means you can’t have active gum disease or untreated tooth decay. If you were to receive implants while gum disease was still present, you could risk serious infection around the implant site. In order to ensure that your dental implants are a success, it is essential to maintain good plaque control. Poor or inadequate oral hygiene is the most likely cause of dental implant failure. Bacteria could build up on the implant surface and cause inflammation. If it were to remain unaddressed, it could cause the implant to eventually lose its anchor and become loose. For this reason, it’s absolutely essential that you maintain proper oral hygiene both before and after you receive your dental implants.

AGD Interactive remade Quest for Glory 2 from EGA to VGA, and it was nice. Not necessary, I felt, but nice.
I never played QFG5 before, because it was the time when all games decided they had to be darkity dark and serious, which Sierra jumping on was particularly terrible. I’ve heard lately that it does still carry the tone of the rest of the games, only a little more serious, not a total trainwreck like King’s Quest 8. So I’m giving it a try. The intro with actual throat-slitting is giving me pause. I’m fine with violent and serious games, but in this series, no. I’ll keep going and see how it turns out though.
But ye gods and little fishes. The graphics are horrible. Could someone please remake Quest for Glory 5 from hideous-era 3D to VGA? Or EGA. I’m not picky.
#non-sims#other games#quest for glory#this is also why I will never replay the KOTOR games#the most hideous era of game design

My Alumna Initiation Journey- Week 3
This week I've heard back from G phi B. They’ve informed me that they have also updated their AI process and have included my name on their list of interested participants. Once they’ve finalized their process, I will hear back more information. As far as I know there is no local chapter in my area. So I've asked if they could connect me so that I can get to know chapter members and find out if I might be a good match. I also heard back from ASA. Though it was the wrong chapter. It was not the one in my local city. I sent a message on social media to the correct group and I’m waiting for a response.
Something else that I've been doing through this journey is I've been sharing my experience with a few friends. And as a result a couple of them have also decided to reach out to a few of the organizations that I have reached out to. What I like most about this is now I feel like I have a true shared experience in the process of joining the sorority. I like that I get to share my thoughts with a few people and see if maybe we end up deciding to join the same sorority or if we end up joining a different sorority. I will mention that my friends live in different states so part of the deciding factor is going to be what chapters they have in their area. It has been fun comparing notes and comparing perspectives on the things that we think we like or that we don't like about each group. Rankings for this week continue to be based on my connection with each group’s philanthropy and mission statement but also on my interactions with members of the group so far.
