Castle & Beckett - Season 3 Finale

This scene is just... This man had to pick up the woman that he loves. In complete fear that if he didn't carry her out of there she would die. They just had a terrible fight and she never wanted to see him again. He had to hold her closer than he ever has and listen to her fall apart. She calls out his first name like she rarely does, "Rick, please". When you think of the emotions and strength Castle had to go through to do this. Its overwhelming.

I used to watch Castle and I was a real fan of the show until s7. The series was a kind of love letter to each other by their married producers and had pretty consistent good quality s1-6.

The thing is, at the end of s6, they left. And really it made sense that the story had ended at the end of s6. It was a good natural endpoint however the show was doing very well and so the network insisted on continuing it. The showrunner is bowed out and the episode ended on a cliffhanger where Richard Castle failed to so at his wedding and his car was found a burning wreck.

And what followed in s7, was a storyline so bad that not only did I hate it despite the fact that it had one of my favorite tropes amnesia. Not only did I stop watching it a few episodes into s7 permanently. But even years past the show's ending, by brain has fixated on fixing the storyline.

I turn this day I still will fixate on how to write a better ending to that cliffhanger. Which in all honesty is not that hard. Pretty much have two different story lines two different kind of paths in which I would go about it and both are a lot better.

I just started watching law and order svu and I realised it’s set in the 16th precinct and then I remembered Castle is set is the 12th (?) precinct and I had the funniest thought of someone who worked in svu with Elliot and Olivia absolutely in love with each other and just becoming their own section in the DSM5 as time went on, then moving to the 12th and meeting Caskett and being like ‘nO ABSOLUTELY NOT EITHER FUCK THE WRITER OR KICK HIM OUT BUT YOU ARE NOT DOING THIS FUCK ME’
