one of the worst feelings ever is wanting to write but your hands hurt too much or the words just don’t want to work so you just sit there staring at a half finished doc with tears in your eyes bc you want to write and you need to write but everything is telling you that you can’t

Euro 2020 Pics Part 4!

MD6 - Final: Italy v England

Yeah, I was there, it wasn't great for the most part, thankfully our` team leaders were on top of things and got us inside before shit hit the fan. I was only on shift for ingress and another volunteer who I'd been on a couple of shifts with chummed me part of the way home.

I went for all the logo colours for my manicure plus a sparkly gold (though really I should have done silver) and one of the positives of the day was that my team was on the inner part of the stadium at one of the ticket gats so I got to see all of the commemorative statues which was really cool.

I also went back the next day as the volunteers got a discount on tournament merch so long as we showed our accreditation passes so I got a pin badge and a scarf (the discount also applied to jerseys, but I wanted to get a Germany shirt with Thomas Muller's name and number on it so I bought that later, as well as a replica mini match ball). It was definitely a better last day at the stadium.

The final aside, getting to volunteer at the tournament was SO MUCH FUN! I got to meet and hang out with (and occasionally dance to some music during some quiet periods) some really lovely people and being a part of the Euros made me fall in love with football that little bit more (and it's definitely part of the reason why I'm now part of the volunteer staff at my local football club).

We also got some really incredible end of tournament gifts, as well as getting little things throughout the tournament (obviously that kind of stuff depends on the people overseeing the volunteers).

As a sports fan I cannot recommend volunteering at events enough, the vibes are immaculate and while it's definitely a lot of hard work in parts the happy memories are more than worth it.

I remember seeing a little bit of an episode of Beauty and the Beast (the weird 80s show; not the Disney movie lol) and noticing the similarities to another thing I had just seen, not even an hour before (I was seven-ish), and went, “Wow that’s a weird coincidence… twice in one day?? What.”

Anyway… I started thinking about that movie because of an article I read… and then that made me think of that weird series again… so I looked up the episode list.

i wanna be free i hope i will by the end of the week--or at least free from excessive proofreading and code editing--goodness i hate everything about graduation i shall go missing
