On Marvel's Infinity comics layout

Comics meant to be read on a phone and scrolled down vertically with no need for page breaks.

I cant wait to see it taken advantage of with larger and longer spreads. But the format still hasn't quite found its self and layout editors and artists haven't all figured out how to fully take proper advantage of page space.

Some of the people involved are sticking to magazine traditional layout practices. For example lets look at a story driven dialogue heavy comic like, X-men unlimited (blurred to focus on layout)

I don't know the correct way to layout a dialogue heavy comic like x-men in this infinite scroll format, but they haven't found it yet here. Now lets look at a more antics and gags based, art heavy comic like Deadpool.

Now THIS gag lends its self to the new format EXTREMELY WELL. I would love to see Deadpool fall off a well drawn cliff and follow his "aaaaaaa" all the way down the detailed cliff side for several pages until a gross splat at the bottom.

Now on the one hand, brain hate change, but on the other I am so excited for the artistic potential of the new layout styles.

It's heartening to see the art form of comics embrace the digital medium in a way that doesn't have to be beholden to the width of a horses ass. (layouts are determined by paper sizes which going back far enough domino their way to cart or road sizes I'm sure)

Comics are here to stay and in the future they will scroll forever.

you woke up, what day was it? it was strange you were just dozing off and then you were back where you were, you shrug it off as just your imagination there was no way that was possible you thought it was just a dream you stood up from your bed getting ready for the day as you did you look down at your hands and squinting your eyes

you start to look around you, you lived alone since you moved out of your parents house...parents? you don't remember their faces or names where was your home town? you don't remember...what was your favorite fruit? color? how old where you? you look down at your clothes, you wear the same clothes everyday but strangely enough you don't smell, did you even sleep last night? it feels like your repeating what you do everyday you just now noticed that, how come?

Nothing feels...real everything looked the same you wake up get ready for the day go to work and go home over and over again you were like programed to repeat the same things everyday when was the last time you didn't just go to work? you never remember having any fun it was like...you were a NPC

he blinked the character he wrote that he had already forgotten about was questioning its own existence it was a bizarre his gaze went from fear to interest. He slowly lift the paper stops writing on its own he blinked raising a brow, strange.

he put it back down and then its starts to write on its own again he instead starts to read what its doing, it was questioning its own life, he thought that he had threw away this one, it wasn't getting as popular as the other things he made so it was useless to keep it around any longer.

he picked up the paper once more and it stopped writing again. He carefully put it on his pocket and starts to clean up his room, after all he had more important things to write than focus on the one he threw away it was irrelevant now.

You are a godsend to Es and she can't even hide it if she tries.

She's read so many books countless times, but eventually they all become boring. Become as dull as the room she's stuck in.

She begins to realize that they all follow the same tropes. And while she likes them, they've become stale and repetitive.

But then she sees a couple sheets of paper stapled together and she reads what can only be described as an unfinished story.

She asks you about it when you return.

When you eventually tell her that "yes that's mine." She looks so... in awe? Like your amazing?

She asks for the rest.

She's intrigued, and how can you say no? Especially to Es.

The answer is you cant

So as you write, she'll become your first reader for any and all books or short stories.

Also she likes being a second pair of eyes as well as an editor. She's really good at English and Grammer.

Sometimes she gets into one of her..."episodes"

This is where she feels like she's going insane again, and needs you by her side.

Tell her short but calming stories, she'll get a hold on herself soon.

To summarize, Es cares for you dearly, and she needs your creative mind by her side.

With all those twists and turns of yours, she can't help but want to read more, trying desperately to read more into your mind.
