Imagine a cat with eyes as blue as Legacy’s and they just… stare. Stare at each other with the occasional flick of a tail or flutter of a wing. Their pupils will be growing and shrinking at the same time and everything.

And the thought of both their floof absolutely exploding upwards when we walk in and see this is just- they’re staring at us now looking like they were caught red-clawed and pawed

*dreamy sigh* Foul Legacy with cat behavior,,,,,,

you having a Siamese cat friend who follows you around when you're outside, trotting behind you and meowing as only Siamese cats can. it has no collar- never has, in all the weeks that you've known it- and only seems to follow you, nobody else. in exchange for the company, you occasionally bring treats, giving the cat scritches as it munches away, purring so loud that it reminds you of Foul Legacy. with the lack of collar and how scrawny the cat is, you can only assume that it's a stray, although you don't force it inside as it seems quite happy following you around the harbor and soaking up the sunlight

a month or so after you meet the cat, the city has its first rainy day in quite a while and to your dismay, your little feline friend fails to appear- although you suppose it makes sense, seeing that cats hate involuntarily getting wet. you go about your day, a bit saddened from the rain and the wind, your routine the same as before until you arrive home, stepping inside. it's oddly quiet, lacking the tight hug you'd normally get from Foul Legacy, and with a frown you head to the living room to see what's going on

there sit Foul Legacy and your cat friend on the ground, staring intently at each other like nothing else exists in the world. their eye colors match almost exactly, wide and brilliant blue, the only movements being a flick of an ear or the twitch of a claw

you watch for a few minutes longer, biting your tongue harshly to stifle your laughter, before gently clearing your throat. both Legacy and the cat leap in surprise, the cat's tail and Legacy's fluff poofing outwards into fluffy clouds. of course the cat lands gracefully, quickly trotting over to you and washing itself as if nothing happened; Legacy tumbles a little bit, whining as he orients himself back to sitting and shakes out his hair, still all fluffed up around his horns. you finally laugh freely, walking over and combing down his lilac fur as your Abyssal moth monster pouts and buries his face into your shoulder with a grumble, sticking his tongue out when the cat meows smugly at him <33

So i remember an ask mentioning your mortal enemy, Felis Atra and their cats, and i thought it'd be fun to draw what Felis Atra's version of your italian dogs would be.

I think they would be called Butter Knife and Flamengo! Butter Knife is not his real name, it's an nickname given by his peers because of how harmless he is. I choose Flamengo because that's the name of Vasco's rival football team here in Brazil, so i thought that was the perfect name :)

Cat Machete was slightly inspired by the Oriental Shorthair cat because of their long noses and thin head shape.

Cat Vasco was inspired by the Scottish Fold cat, because FLOPPY EARS. I gave Flamengo longer ears and orange fur to make him more like his look-alike.

The last doodle is a reference to this ask (https://canisalbus.tumblr.com/post/728923918314946560/me-i-am-machete-ear-fan-number-1-those-ears) and contains the tumblr ask stand-in dog, whose cat version was inspired by the American Curl cat! They have round ears that are slightly floppy outwards.

Final notes: I know cardinal clothes don't come in vibrant blue, but i was ADAMANT on switching Machete's and Vasco's clothing color patterns. I would draw the rest of Butter Knife's and Flamengo's clothes, but i suck at designing cool outfits.

Speaking of outfits, for Machete's iconic void outfit, i figured it would be fun to make it more baggy for Butter Knife, in contrast to Machete's, that looks very tight-fitted. I think it's cute, it kinda looks like a sweater. Also i can't imagine a Machete doppelganger without high heels boots, so those HAD to stay.

Oh, and just to be clear, i'm not like, claiming ownership of these guys or anything. I just thought it would be a fun exercise. Hope you like them!! I love your art and your characters.

i think it's very important to know that koala is 160cm(5'3") and nami is 170cm(5'7")

koala needing to stand on her toes to kiss nami..... not only does sabosan have height difference but so does koanami (namoala???? koanami sounds a lot better though)

Thinking about Koala and Sabo staying for a few days with them just because they can. Because I think revolutionaries also need their free days. They don't pay them but let them enjoy them at least. Nami and Koala grow really close during these days, and they know it's the last night they're gonna be in the ship because they have responsibilities. Koala is feeling odd because, after leaving everything behind to focus on her ideals, now she has something she wants to treasure and keep with her but she can't do it. And she's starting to understand Sabo way better now and why he always has a hard time leaving Luffy (and Sanji) behind. Nami and her have something going on. A connection. A bond. Fate? She doesn't believe in such. Or the universe. They shouldn't believe in that. But there's just something different about her... And in such a short time, Nami has made her way to Koala's heart.

So Nami is on night watch, right? Courtesy of our dear Sabo moving a few lil threads and saying that Sanji can't possibly do it because he's just sooo exhausted of cooking and he needs somebody to cover for him, and Nami is a good friend. A "good friend" meaning: "I am so charging you for this but enjoy your secret fucking". And of course, Sabo tells Koala to make a move already. She says it's too soon. Or maybe just too risky, keeping in mind they won't be seeing each other for a long time probably. Sabo insists, Koala refuses. But then, she can't sleep. She can't do it!!! She needs to see Nami right away. She might not do anything, but at least she can spend one night with her.

She finds Nami taking care of her tangerines and walking around the ship because she doesn't like sitting still sometimes when watching the ship. She looks around at the sea. Talks to her and Usopp's plants. The usual. Their conversation starts shy and slow and somehow there's so much depth in simple words like "I just thought it'd be nice seeing you" and "I'm glad you did". And so they talk for a little while about everything and nothing until the sun is basically shining over them, barely, and they know the crew's going to wake up soon. Nami seems calm but oddly shy. Like she's expecting something but doesn't have high hopes for it. And Koala thinks that if somebody like Nami, who is used to take what she wants because she's a pirate, doesn't do anything, then somebody so tied to her responsibilities like her should be able to go against her persona too and do something. Or else she will lose this chance. She hates that the last thing she hears before kissing Nami is Sabo's voice telling her to do it, but, well, they've always been each other's inner voices.

So she has to stand on her tiptoes to kiss her, holding her gently by the shoulders and pressing their lips together right behind Nami's tangerine trees while the sun is rising. Nami smiles into the kiss oh so softly and she laughs as if she had been waiting for this for a long time, while Koala doesn't exactly know why she's laughing but laughs too anyway.

When they move away, Nami looks at her fondly and says "You know? I was starting to think I'd have to be the one doing this". And Koala knows, that no matter how far away she goes, they'll be alright.

We will soon get to explore Fontaine and discover its underwater treasures, right ?

So, what about Foul Legacy with merperson!reader ?

I often dream about being a mermaid myself, freely swimming in clear waters, diving through algae and kelp forests while dancing with the other fish ; and, last night, I actually had a dream about this that happened to take place in Teyvat.

I’d like to think that Fontaine is the perfect place to meet mermaids, even though you can also see them in deep rivers, lakes or even the other seas that hold their place in the world. Foul Legacy probably found himself lost in these watery lands once, maybe while trying to get to Liyue. The only person he thought would be safe to stay with would probably be Zhongli, and yet the voice in his head constantly whispering how this idea is the only one he has left to follow suddenly quiets down once he hears the melodious voices of seafolks bloom all around him, most of them being slightly muffled but the waters they like to hide under. Like with everyone else, they tend to be wary of him, staying away from his monstrous form even though he can see glimmers of curiosity in their dark eyes. And, terrified at the idea of frightening them even more -he wouldn’t want to hurt such beautiful creatures by accident !- he keeps his distance too, silently watching them from the shadows, trilling curiously from time to time.

Now, I think merpeople communicate with a wide range of sounds, going from the entrancing songs of whales or the sharp clicks of dolphins to sounds so deep even he has trouble them, marvelling at how ethereal all of this is. This language is a little bit similar to the one he uses, and yet he can’t really bring himself to understand the nuances. This is why it takes him a few seconds to realise that the inquisitive chirps that echo not far from him are those of a merperson trying to communicate with him until his eyes fall upon their elegant silhouette.

Despite the fear of hurting them and the quite peculiar language barrier, our cinnamon roll of an Abyss creature lowers himself to bring his masked visage to their level. He almost falls into the water when their small, webbed hands come graze the ridges of his crimson mask and horns, detangling his fluffy hair and mane, droplets of water going still upon meeting the thick, yet incredibly soft surface of his purple fur. What he can only interpret as being happy coos and trills cross the edge of their salt-covered lips, and Foul Legacy quickly finds himself talking back with an enthusiasm that only matches their own, starry wing fluttering in delight every time their voice start humming a song. And he is quite surprised to see other merpeople approach him after a few days of peacefully interacting with us, their voices and tunes forming an echo that could mesmerise the coldest of hearts.

Maybe Liyue can wait, after all.

Foul Legacy could spend hours listening to you talk- of course, all the merpeople have lovely voices, but you're his favorite, being the first to approach him without fear. you, like him, are quite curious, countless questions always glittering in your eyes, questions that he can't quite understand. but even with the language barrier, Legacy finds himself basking in your voice, the familiarity of something close to his own language making him purr in delight, craning his head back so you can scratch under his chin

luckily Foul Legacy still LOOOOVES water, even if he's not an aquatic creature himself. it comes with having a Hydro vision, but he loves to swim and can hold his breath for a very long time!! at first you'll simply bring him items you found that you thought were pretty, since you're very much aware that some tales paint merpeople as vicious and bloodthirsty; you only ask if he wants to come swimming with you after you both trust each other, pointing to him, then the water, and tilting your head with an inquisitive trill. and if he accepts you clap your hands in joy, a beam spreading across your cheeks and webbed ears twitching happily. you adore the look of amazement on Legacy's face, as well as how bubbles float from his fanged maw when he attempts to chirp underwater- plus, now he can see your scales and markings in the sunlight too!!

i think Fontaine and Liyue are going to be connected, by land and by water, so if you must, you'll also show him how to get back to Liyue via the waterways of Fontaine. you really don't want to- it's been a long time since you've had such an amazing friend- but you know he misses the safety of Liyue like a fish misses the sea, so you'll take him to the border between the two nations and point out the way he needs to go in order to return. before he leaves, though, you give him one final gift- a luminescent seashell you found years ago, waiting for the right moment and right person to give it to, since there's nothing better than watching someone's face light up as you give them a gift. he's sure to treat it carefully, cupping the delicate object in his claws and crooning his heartfelt thanks, giving you one final lick on the cheek, which you greet with a kiss of your own before watching him depart with a mournful smile

Legacy turns back once, for a final glance, but when he looks to the sea, you're already gone
