The A-1 visa is granted to many people such as ambassadors, ministers, diplomats, consular officers, and their immediate family members.[a][3] While government officials normally do not qualify for an A-1 visa if they are traveling for non-official, non-governmental purposes, heads of state and heads of government always qualify and must apply for an A visa regardless of their purpose of travel.[4] Visitors on an A-1 visa cannot be tried under US law for a crime, and may travel to and from the country an unlimited number of times. There is no maximum length of stay for individuals admitted on an A-1 visa, and there is no requirement to maintain a foreign residence.[3]

It’s weird.

I’ve been a Formula 1 fan for most of my life, I’ve seen drivers come and go, I cried when Sebastian Vettel retired.

But this hits particularly hard.

I remember watching Daniel Ricciardo’s first race. I was nine, and I remember thinking about how young he looked. I remember him winning with Red Bull. I remember his smile. I remember his shoeys. I remember Monaco 2018 and how, despite not being a Red Bull fan, I teared up as Daniel got redemption. I remember the rollercoaster that followed his leaving. I remember his return last year. I remember him breaking his wrist to protect Oscar Piastri while crashing. I remember the grins and laughter. I remember to enjoy the butterflies.

This one hurts.

Mercedes miscalculating by 1.5 kg like they haven't done math thousands of times before. And Lewis soon leaving the team and breaking up the legendary duo with Bono.

Red Bull literally falling apart as a team. Soon they will need a crowbar to pry Max away from his emotional support simracing team.

McLaren repeatedly failing strategy 101 and giving their drivers emotional (Lando) and physical (Oscar) damage.

Haas having legal troubles and now might not even get to bring their cars to the next race.

Alpine going through senior staff like models go through outfits, and the general vibes are screaming "toxic downward spiral".

Sauber resembling a geriatric sloth more than an F1 team. Literally on their dying breathe just waiting for it to be over at this point.

Aston Martin living on the hopes and dreams of Lawrence Stroll. Tbh not much drama here, but so far no real results either...
