i miss the malec fic page u and @lifeofpatterns created?

Hi! I called @lifeofpatterns when I saw this ask because I was so shocked that there were still people curious about what happened to that Paige. It was just a fun little project, mainly her idea, to keep our favorite fandom alive because we realized that less people were posting in it.

A few things led to the lack of updates from the account. That summer, I had just started a new internship that took up a lot of time, and my lovely partner was finishing up her bachelors thesis. By the time all of that was over, we let so many posts go unposted that it was just kind of overwhelming for us to start again. But also, we are absolutely horrible at finishing long-term projects even the ones we are having fun with. You should see the long list of ideas that have been started by us on three hour phone calls and long voice message chains that have not seen the light of day.

That being said, the account will still always be up there for those of you who are looking for a little slice of Malec. We appreciate the occasional notification that someone has liked or reblogged one of the posts, or when an author finds their story on the page. Though we will most likely not revisit posting on this account, we hope that you all enjoy it for what it is, a way to appreciate all the wonderful authors in a fandom that brought us so much.  We had such a fun time getting to share some of our favorites with all of you and getting to support our authors who keep this fandom going. And we hope all of you did too.

Mundane!Malec neighbors AU

Mundane AU, where there is a bit of an age-gap between Alec and Izzy, maybe about 10 years, and 25 year old Alec has custody over his teenage sister.

And for most of her life, Izzy was a bit of a tomboy, and Alec was just fine with that. But now suddenly she wants to try girly clothes and make-up, and gets frustrated when she doesn't get things right following a youtube tutorial about applying shades of mascara? lipstick? something that goes on the face, Alec is almost sure! Now Alec does not want to see his sister upset, but he has no clue about make-up and color coordination and shades and stuff, either. HOWEVER, his pretty neighbor, who is stylish and pretty and uses make-up and is pretty , has all the experience that Izzy could need! So now all Alec has to do is go over, knock on the door, and ask Magnus Bane to please help his sister get ready for this party that all her friends are going to because she will die if she doesn't show up looking her best. DIE, Alec!

And we’re back!

We feel like we say this a lot, but we’re so so sorry for our extended absence. When we got on the call that started this all, we may have… Sort of… Forgotten how much real life might get in the way, and no matter how many times we have tried to schedule posts to make sure that things ran smoothly during the busy times, sometimes things don’t work out the way we hope.

Tumblr also went through a brief period of in accessibility, and @springlily25 went on a mini Tumblr strike until the app was usable for her again.

But now that semesters are over, jobs have been settled into, and accessibility issues have been fixed, we are back and we have help from the amazing and wonderful @sparrowdrama who has sent us some stories to help us get back on schedule. Thank you Lovely for offering your help with a year of Malec, we appreciate it.

So our current plan, we are 100% going to finish off pride month because we feel that it is super important to show support to all those wonderful stories about LGBTQIA+ experiences. After that, we’ve decided that our next theme would be getting back together so we hope you all enjoy the pain and fluff you will be getting out of this month. We hope to start posting again either today or tomorrow, and hopefully you all have not forgotten about us. We’ve missed you all, and we are super excited to get back to showing support to all the wonderful Malec authors!

I’ve been doing this fandom thing for a long fucking time, and I will say: I do not give a fuck what is canon I will ship what I want always and forever. But I just gotta say. There is something so DELICIOUS. About the creator of the thing you like just straight up being like “yeah obviously he has feelings for him”
