Archie's long time colorist did Moose's ... Punk?... fashion. I have the gut feeling Jughead's ... Punk?... styling were done by somebody in Archie's orbit, but hey! Maybe just a reader who shares the company's town. (I always imagine kids growing up there grew to loathe Archie Comics as they just kept getting dumped wih psa materials handed out to schools.)

Archie looks preppy to me. On some of the rest -- a bit of a fifties throwback on Jughead and Reggie. Was rockabilly punk? Looking at Jughead, some of this was viewed with alarm by the previous generation of Archie. So I guess everything comes around in different formations. I still don't see punk here -- and I understand words get new meanings and are interpreted differently by the aging -- but I still can't figure out what they are going at.

More new wave than punk.
