Music being loud wasn't something new in that room, the cordinate footsteps where accompanying the rythim of it. In that alone cold room, you could see a backpack in the floor, two water bottles, a towel and a skateboard.

There was a person dancing in the middle of the room, they had a black cap, white t-shirt and some black pants. They looked concentrated and only listening to the sound, like if it was only them and the room in that exact moment.

They looked beautiful, perfect, handsome, you name it, dancing and feeling free for some minutes.

Until the song finished, and they were breathing quite fast, letting their pose relax and sighing sometimes, trying to calm their heart.

In their mind, they felt like they just finished swimming in the water, free, no worries, no fears, just them and the music. When they stopped, he felt all the noises coming back, not only for the song but from the others trainees who where also dancing beside them, trying to keep with their rhytim wich was quite hard.

They took their cap of for a second fixing their long black hair, and with a towel, taking some sweat off.

-hey!-

They looked at the other guy calling them.

-You should really be more slow and have more patience with us!-the guy got closer to them-you really think you are the only one standing here?! huh?! You gonna make us fail!

other curses came from the guy, not that they cared, only one word hurted and they didn't even tried to correct him. They grabbed their backpack and skateboard, fixing their cap and walking outside. They thought they would be able to go away.

A more know voice made Boa pouse, rolling their eyes and looking behind them.

Night Before

Ava + Minho, Chan & Changbin

Nervous for their debut, Ava stays late to rehearse leaving a not so happy Chan.

Ava collapsed tiredly on the practice room floor, she had just finished dancing to ‘Levanter’ for what seemed like to her was the thousandth time.

Ava checked the clock that was on the wall right above the mirror, “3:15am” it read. Ava knew she should head to the dorm and try to get a few hours of rest but she didn’t have a choice.

Tomorrow, well technically today was their comeback and she was nowhere near ready for it.

Her phone started to ring, seeing it was Minho she answered right away.

“Where are you?” Minho asked, tiredness laced in his voice.

“Dance studio, why?” Ava replied, nervous of Minho’s response.

“Ava do you realize how late it is? You told me you’d be back 4 hours ago.” He said, sighing. Ava could instantly picture the face he was making right now. Ava knew he wasn’t too happy with her.

“I know, I’m sorry. I was super focused and lost track of time.”

“Do you need me to come get you? It’s pretty late.” Minho asked, shuffling around his bunk looking for a sweater.

“Yes, please.”

“Okay, stay put i’ll be there soon.”  Minho said, hanging up before Ava could even respond.

Ava knew that Minho had probably stayed up waiting for her like he said he would. Minho and Jisung both always made sure that Ava was home or at least safe before falling asleep. But knowing how hard Jisung has worked these past couple weeks she assumed he was sleeping.

15 minutes later Minho barged through the door with a not so happy Chan behind him. Ava knew she was in for a lecture right when she saw Chan walk through the door.

“Ava, do you know how late it is? We have our comeback stage in a few hours. Your debut stage at that.” Chan scolded.

“Like I told Minho, I lost track of time. I just wanted to get a few more run throughs in.” Ava mumbled in defeat, looking down at her shoes.

“I understand that Av’s but it’s super late. Minho was worried about you.” Chan explained, reaching out to grab Ava and pull her into a hug.

Ava instantly sunk into Chan’s chest, feeling her tiredness finally set in. Ava was exhausted to say the least, she was so focused on the comeback that she spent all her free time in the studio. Meaning that sleep was put on the back burner.

“We should get going,” Minho whispered, noticing that Ava was falling asleep right where they stood.

Chan took notice of this and gently picked up Ava while Minho went to gather her things from the couch on the other side of the room.

“How long has she been staying late like this?” Chan asked Minho as he held open the dance practice door for him.

“The last week that I know of. She told me a few days ago that she felt like she was nowhere near ready.” Minho explained, glancing at Ava and softly brushing a few stray hairs out of her face.

“Why didn’t she mention it to me?” Chan asked, frowning as he looked at Ava’s sleeping figure in his arms.

“She didn’t want anyone to find out or Changbin to find out. He hasn’t been very welcoming.” Minho mumbled. Chan knew that Changbin had no problem voicing his opinion about Ava joining but he thought he got over it.

“It’s been weeks, Is he still being cold towards her?” Chan sighed.

Minho shrugged, “Not as much as before, but you can still tell he feels some type of way towards her.”

As Minho and Chan walked through the dorm door, they both noticed the living room light on. Turning the corner they both see Changbin and Jisung on the couch. Just as Ava thought, Jisung was sleeping but Changbin was still wide awake, working on some lyrics.

“Did she stay late again?” Changbin asked, glancing at Ava’s sleeping figure in Chan’s arms.

“You knew?” Minho exclaimed, looking over at Chan in shock.

“Yeah, she’s been coming home around 2-3am these last few nights.” Changbin shrugged, gathering all his notebook and materials.

“How come you didn’t say anything?” Chan asked, still a bit shocked that Changbin knew.

“Figured she didn’t want anyone to know,” Changbin muttered, making his way to your guy’s shared room with Felix. “I don’t if you guys forgot but we are roommates. I notice when she isn’t there.”

Dumbfounded Chan ignores Changbin and follows closely behind him so he can place Ava in her bed.

“I may still not be happy about her being in the group, but she is one of our members. I’m still going to look out for her.” Changbin whispered, trying his best not to wake up Ava or Felix.

Chan nodded as he began taking off Ava’s shoe and tucking her into bed. Chan knew it was going to take Changbin some more time to warm up to Ava. At least now he knew it was possible.

Ava’s Relationship With Stray Kids

Chan: He wasn’t really all the way on board with Ava joining the group. They trained together briefly but they aren’t that close but continue to work on their friendship everyday. He is always secretly looking out for her whether she realizes it or not.

Minho: Ava’s dance buddy. These two are always in the studio dancing and creating weird dance routines just for fun. They are super chaotic and love spending time together. Minho thinks of Ava as little sister. Whenever she’s going through something Minho is the first one she goes to. Another member that is constantly looking out for her.

Changbin: Ava’s personal rap instructor. She always goes to him when she is having trouble with a rap. Like Ava and Chan, they weren’t super close at first but grew to love each other. You will never see Ava without Changbin trailing behind her like a lost puppy. They are two peas in a pod.

Hyunjin: Ava’s big baby. One of Ava’s bestfriends. Whenever Hyunjin is struggling or needs someone to talk to, Ava is always there with open arms.  Jisung and Hyunjin are constantly fighting over who her favorite is between the both of them. Hyunjin loves taking Ava shopping with him because they both have a similar fashion sense.

Jisung: Ava’s all time best friend. They do everything together. The moment Jisung saw Ava he knew he needed to protect her. Even though Ava is older, he won’t let anyone hurt her and he is always there for her when she needs him. If she can’t find Minho, Jisung is the next best thing.

Felix: Gamer buddies. Ava and Felix are really big gamers. They are either playing amongs us or fortnite. Ava didn’t interact with Felix much for the first couple weeks after she joined the group because of her crush on him. She constantly tries to convince herself that she is over it. They aren’t that close but they do enjoy hanging out with each other.  

Seungmin: Ava’s personal photographer. When the group is traveling these two are always together having photoshoots. Seungmin is Ava’s 2nd big baby. She protects him with all her might. You will most likely see the two teasing Changbin or pulling a prank on one of the memebers. Their like two evil besties when they are together. Seungmin also goes to Ava when he is having a hard time.

Jeongin: They weren’t that close in the beginning only because he was still shocked about having a girl in the group. For a while he didn’t know how to act around her.  Ava treats him like a little brother. When he is going through a hard time he’ll also look for Ava. They are also gamer buddies. If Ava isn’t playing games with Felix, you can bet she is with Jeongin.
