In my very biased opinion, Spideypool takes the cake for me. I love the fact that Wade has feelings for him beyond physical attraction. I love the fact that Wade wanted to be a better person because of him. I love the fact that his feelings in the Spiderman/Deadpool comics aren't played off as a joke, but something that actually fueled his character in the comic. I love the fact that Wade doesn't care about people's opinions but gets sad when Spidey thinks negatively of him. I love the fact that they always have each other's backs. I love the fact that they get worried when the other is hurt. I love the fact that Spidey is implied to have at least some kind of feelings towards him as well. And i fucking love their interactions in the comics

Yes, Poolverine is fun. Sexual Tension is fun. The Honda Hatefuck was amazing. But I personally love romantic tension a lot more, and I love how these two's friendship developed in the comics. Call me old fashioned, but I always love a good Friends to Lovers.

Poolverine is more something I indulge in when I want to read things that would make my ancestors cry, and I like reading romantic and fluffy/angsty fics more often. And, with the different world views between Spidey and Deadpool, I feel like it's a lot more fun emotionally.

Don't take this as me hating Poolverine; I love poolverine and I yap about it a lot. I'm also a firm believer that Deadpool & Wolverine counted a romcom. I can't stress enough how much I love that movie and how much I like this ship. I just like Spideypool more.

A Mobei-jun that plays hard to get cannot win over Shang Qinghua without outside intervention 99.99% of the time, and I have a vision why.

The thing I envision the most out of Shang Qinghua is that when he created Mobei-jun, never really decided on a lover for him. It was Shang Qinghua's and for Shang Qinghua only. Blue eyes, broad physique, stoic demeanor, all his type, 100%. Someone to love him and hold him in his dreams as he writes out this ever increasing trashfire novel he writes to survive.

But he lives in the PIDW world now. A world that has filled in the gaps with everything that he once wrote. So he thought maybe he had a chance. He made Mobei-jun as a perfect pair to him.

Then Shen Yuan arrived. Then everything else happened.

Now Shang Qinghua grapples with the thought that, of course they are nothing like the characters in the novel. Just look at Binghe. He was supposed to be this suave, conniving demigod of a person who would conquer civilizations in a heartbeat. Now he's stickily clinging onto his former master turned husband for dear life, obsessed and unequivocally in love.

What does that mean for the rest of the characters?

Shang Qinghua built Mobei-jun in the image of his ideal love interest, to give him affection and someone he can shower his love to. But just like Luo Binghe, Mobei-jun isn't that version he created in his novel. He has desires. Desires Shang Qinghua has not built into the lore. Thought processes and reactions that are not in line with his version of Mobei-jun.

And he is not Shen Yuan. He believes he has no capability to change the world Shen Yuan did as Shen Qingqiu. In his time as Shang Qinghua, every single major event in PIDW before Shen Yuan's arrival played exactly as it was supposed to. And the one time he had the chance to change it, he stuck to the story and saved Mobei-jun.

So when his king begins to date someone, a demon or cultivator that's clearly much prettier, smarter, stronger, and much more ruthless, Shang Qinghua bows his head and gleefully accepts their romance, for he is a coward.

Mobei-jun is not the version in PIDW he has created just for him. To box him into that image would be blinding yourself to the fact that this is not your novel anymore. This is its own world. And Mobei-jun is not his to keep. He is his own person.

So he won't think twice when Mobei-jun stares at him for a bit too long as Shang Qinghua congratulates him. He won't speculate as Mobei-jun looks at him in the party ball, his arm wrapped around the arm of his date. He will not question as he sees Mobei-jun's significant other leave his chambers or his king's increasingly frigid attitude towards him, nor will he ask about how it feels as if Mobei-jun is waiting for something, longing for something.

Shang Qinghua is not Mobei-jun's keeper,and Mobei-jun is not for Shang Qinghua to have.

I wanna start off by saying Saiki’s love languages are gift giving and quality time

the best part about gift giving is he could just leave it on your desk or night stand and watch your reaction from afar

they’re always very thoughtful since he can read your mind :) which is a plus!

and as for quality time he finds it quite peaceful to be around someone who’s not such a weirdo for once

and even if you are one, for some reason he can tolerate your strange behavior way better than he can your friends 😂

it’s always fun to play that one video game he has together

and it’s practically a requirement that every saiki k hcs have—you two will eat coffee jelly together

he would at least want you to try it and if you don’t like it’s that’s fine more for him

If you missed Tom Holland’s starring turn in “Romeo & Juliet” on the West End earlier this fall, now is your chance to get a taste of British theater — this time, for free and without leaving your home.

Confronted with death, Aneurin ‘Nye’ Bevan’s deepest memories lead him on a mind-bending journey back through his life; from childhood to mining underground, Parliament and fights with Churchill.”

The stage play, which is written by Tim Price and directed by Rufus Norris, will be the second annual title offered as a free stream from the National Theatre.

“I can’t wait for audiences worldwide to watch this incredibly important show,” Sheen told Variety. “It feels particularly appropriate for this play to be available for free as it follows the founder of the National Health Service, Aneurin ‘Nye’ Bevan through his life and fight to make healthcare free at the point of access. The free stream is a brilliant opportunity for theatre lovers and skeptics alike to tune in, be inspired and learn something, too.”

After its free-streaming window, “Nye” is set to join more than 80 titles in the National Theatre at Home library. In a promo tied to “Nye,” NT at Home is offering new subscribers access to their streaming selection for half off of their first two months with the code “NYE50.” The service is currently priced at £9.99 per month (around $13) or £99.99 per year (around $130).

Stewart credits Sheen’s performance in the titular role and Norris’ directorial capabilities with making “Nye” resonate with audiences to the level that NT at Home decided to give it a free window at launch.

For the 60th anniversary of the National Theatre in 2023, the streamer released its first “Take Your Seats” initiative, which was viewed by over 180,000 people, per the organization. “Nye” will mark the latest edition of “Take Your Seats.”

The show will be available with both audio description and British Sign Language on NT at Home. Stewart says that 85% of current titles offered on NT at Home come with audio descriptions and that the streamer is on track to bolster British Sign Language offerings in addition to starting trial runs for Spanish subtitling.

According to Stewart, telling these stories to global audiences is particularly important and filming this production on the National Theatre’s Olivier stage adds extra magic.

“When people go to the theater, it’s a moment in time. You’ve got to be in the play, almost with the actors. You’ve got to be in that story, in that moment,” Stewart says. “It’s so powerful you don’t have anything else like it. It beats absolutely everything.”

Yves will gracefully accept your pampering, he would be a bit resistant to it for manners, but eventually he will give in and let you do what you want for him. However, this will be naturally mildly stressful for him because he would very much prefer to be the one spoiling you.

Red Guy Relationship Headcanons ☁️

Initially, Red is VERY awkward. Poor dude has little to no experience in the dating game, and you’re his first test subject! Hooray! Nonetheless, he is very blunt about things and doesn’t hold back from telling you about stuff he wants to do with you, what he feels is wrong, etc.

He’s slow and gentle when becoming more accustomed to any physical affection. Whether that be holding hands, a hug, or a kiss- he’s not going to that good at it. He’ll attempt to hold your hand at an ungodly angle or simply brush his lips against yours instead of an actual kiss. Please forgive him, he’s trying.

On the account that you as well aren’t comfortable with physical affection, Red feels slightly relieved. On one hand he doesn’t have to feel awkward or embarrassed, but on the other he’s unsure of how else he can show his love for you, as he’s not much of a sweet-talker.

Communication is absolute KEY in this relationship and will 99.99% solve most of your issues or misunderstandings. He’s quite blunt, which is definitely a plus. Though sometimes that gift of his can be a little... much, you appreciate the openness regardless.

Not only is communication key, but patience as well. Red is not by any means a fast paced guy. Slow and steady wins the race. Not to mention he breaks under pressure and his shouting volume is terrifying. Could possible make you go deaf, who knows. You’ve fortunately never heard it.

Definitely does not show almost all of his emotions outwardly. Yes his face is covered, but I’m talking body language, voice, or even just a hint of an emotion in his eyes. Thank God he’s blunt, or you’d be entirely confused about Red’s feelings. It stresses you out a little, but you always remind yourself that’s just Red, he’s never doing it maliciously or purposefully.

If you two ever cuddle, Red’s body is an INSANE heater. You’re freezing cold, almost in a vegetative state? Fingers can’t move? You JUST climbed Mount Everest? No worries, he’s got you. It can be a tad bit uncomfortable in the summer. Not like you mind though. Being in your lover’s arms is enough.

Whilst Red may not outwardly show his emotions, and can be a little aloof, he still holds much love and care in his heart for you as he possibly can. That’s a fact. Anyone else (duck & yellow) who knows him can confirm that for you. Never forget it.

i wrote a ridiculously long post trying to explain my confusion in a clear way so that ppl wouldnt mistake my words for smth else but i'm sure nobody wants to read all that so. here's something of a summary (lol me when i can't write a summary bc i get too scared and end up rambling in a desperate attempt to be clear and not sound like im excusing despicable behaviour !!!)

i haven't rly encountered it except for a couple times so far and both those were nasties that i blocked, but i do feel like there might be an okay way to go about shipping w a character who is under 18 (i'm thinking... 15 at the lowest. 16-17 is more likely) if ur a new adult (18/19, maybe 20) and it's just OC-ifying the character a lot and having them grow up with you ? am i crazy bonkers and giving ppl too much benefit of the doubt or is there smth to be said for that. because i feel like there's a way to do it in a decent way but maybe i'm just oc-brained. i feel like someone who has their f/o grow up w them wouldn't look at their f/o's source and go "i'm dating that kid :)" i feel like it'd be more like "aww thats my f/o as a kid :')" in the same way u would think that if u looked at a family childhood photo album of your partner fdsjkl

Overall, I think Azul as a boyfriend is super sweet

He isn’t all that affectionate in public, since he doesn’t like people seeing his vulnerable points, and he has to maintain his “perfect” image, so he only holds your hand and gives knuckle kisses

You go dining fancy: full on elegant dinner dates. Some at the Lounge, but not usually, since he doesn’t want to be disturbed during his precious time with you and he doesn’t want the tweels taking pictures and nonstop teasing from them

Describe a date with Jacq, please

Here are some of my headcanons for Jacq on a date!

- He’s an extremely awkward and always runs late to everything guy that tries his best to be there early (which doesn’t work 99.99% of the time).

- Sleep who? He gets no sleep when you ask him on a date since you were one of the most high ranking teachers in ANY academy in the world of Pokemon and best friends with Saguaro, which made him a little jealous when you were talking about a thesis paper on how home econ should be brought back in Unova and anything that made him interested in you in the first place.

- Once he does get some courage (which probably isn’t a lot, which kudos to him for trying), he’d introduce himself while his voice cracks with excitement talking to one of his biggest idols (which is you)!

- You thought it was so cute that you just giggled, which made him a mahogany colour (which he never saw the end of days with his students teasing him about having a crush on someone who he thought was out of his league).

- You two exchanged numbers as the days went on and he even invited you to the science museum, which you thought was adorable with his thing with biology and science!

- He told you that he might be late, which you thought was gonna be in the cards of expecting it, but it turns out he was there before the science museum even opened while walking around making homemade sandwiches for lunch (with a sandwich of your choosing and dietary needs)!

- You ask him about his favorite biology fact and you NEVER heard the end of the convergent and different forms of pokemons and the gimighouls that run around Paldea.

- It felt like he was talking about it for ages until you just kissed his cheek, making him flustered as ever and passed out during your lunch with him!

- After that whole “passed out by a kiss” thing, both you and Jacq officially started dating (and told your respective academies depending on your comfort level on telling anyone you have a partner)! You still tease him about the incident, which he now laughs it off!

- Good news is that you helped him get better sleep, eat more since he’s always working and get on time with work and dates!

I don’t know if you’ve ever been asked or addressed this but what attracted you to reed900 and what is it about r9 that you love and keeps you shipping it?

Short answer(s)

Fan art initially attracted me to the ship (...and then I started analyzing it in detail to find many other reasons to like it)

I love the potential of the interesting/unique conflicts between them

I keep shipping Reed900 bc it brings me happiness + there are not nearly enough in-character/canon compliant portrayals out there

Long answer(s)

As I'm sure you know, I'm a huge canon Gav fan. It made me want to create content for him, delve deeper into his character, study him, etc. Nevertheless, my true creative passion lies in romance... so naturally, I needed someone to pair him with.

I started looking at the characters in the game that I had encountered, but literally no one would be a nice/logical fit for him. I considered simply creating an OC -- Craig Adler for those familiar with my A&E story (WebComic | Written) -- and going from there. Less ppl (if any) would give a shit if I committed to that OC being Gav's main love interest, but I write for myself. Not others. So it wasn't an issue.

After my 1st exposure to the full game, I researched several endings bc the world intrigued me. That's when I came across Niner. Like all humans, I can be a bit shallow at times. I wanted the best for Gav and didn't find Niner attractive enough to be with him (sue me, lol.)

I then came across some incredible Reed900 fan art and I started to put aside my shallowness. I don't find Niner ugly -- he's average at best -- but he suffers from Baby Face Syndrome™ and it unnerved me a bit. Not only that, but I've always disliked Con... so I had to teach myself to see them as individuals. Niner isn't Con. They couldn't be more different personality-wise and the writers have confirmed this.

That said, I started seeing the immense potential for the interesting conflicts between Gav/Niner in particular and how to solve them.

Enemies to Lovers, in general, is my favorite trope

Niner is an android and Gav hates androids

Niner shares Con's face and Gav hates Con

Niner isn't a doormat and Gav likes bossing ppl around

Niner can easily take the job Gav is terrified to lose

Niner was (back then) a blank slate

At the time, I could mold Niner into whatever I wanted without worrying about disrespecting the source material/canon. I was shocked to learn that the overall way I envisioned him (not likable, not sweet, but intimidating and scary) was canon. That encouraged me to create more Reed900 content bc I felt like I 'got' these characters.

As for why I keep shipping them?

At a foundational level, it's bc Reed900 makes me happy. I love their love and adore the relationship dynamic I've envisioned for them (enemies to lovers, power couple, bickering, mutual respect, challenging each other, playfulness, not afraid to tell each other off, etc.) There are also not enough Canon Compliant fan works -- 99.99% of the Reed900/Gav/Niner content out there is concerningly OOC -- and I'm trying to remedy that the best I can. I've grown to care for Niner at this point, too.

I love the boys just as much now as I did back then, so I don't see myself stopping to create content for them at this rate.
