We zijn weer 8 jaar na de otvoering. Rex leeft in Nederland, waar hij ook werkt. Rex is opnieuw een onderzoek gestart over de verdwijning van Saskia in de Franse kranten in de omgeving van het tankstation (dit kost hem een fortuin maar hij wil er alles aan doen om te weten te komen wat er met Saskia is gebeurt). De eerste paar dagen krijgt hij geen enkele of bijna geen brieven. Maar op de derde dag komt voor zijn kantoor opeens een geel busje te staan met in grote rode letter op het dak erop staan: "Rex ik vind je lief Sandra". Op de motorkap staat ook een zin namelijk: "Als ik dit schrijf komen krasen in geluk". Maar een paar dagen later leest hij het opnieuw en staat er: "als ik dit schrijf komen krassen in de lak". Wie is die mysterieuze Saskia en is dit bericht wel voor hem bestemt? Na de derde dag stromen de letters binnen maar geen enkele is helpvol. Rex bekijkt de foto die hij ooit nam van het tankstation toen Saskia waarschijnlijk nog binnen de drankjes zat te kopen. Hij bekijkt hem in detail maar geen spoor van Saskia of iets dat er mee te maken had kunnen hebben. Het einde van zijn werkdag is aangebroken en hij loopt zijn kantoor uit. Zijn advertentie over Saskia staat al 5 dagen in de krant maar hij is nog steeds geen millimeter wijzer geworden. Hij loopt de gang in en aan het einde van de gang staat een man hem aan te staren. Het lijkt net of Rex hem kent maar hij heeft geen idee van waar. De mysterieuze man loopt Rex tegemoet en stelt zich dan voor als Raymond Lemorne. Rex kan zich niet herinner iemand met die naam te kennen, maar na een hele poos na te denken schiet het hem binnen! Het is een man die op de foto van het tankstation stond! De man zegt dat hij weet wat er met Saskia is gebeurt maar dat hij het wil bespreken op een wat rustigere plek. Rex volgt hem totdat ze bij zijn auto komen. Rex stapt in en belegerd de man gelijk let allemaal vragen, weet u waar Saskia is, wat us er de avond bij het tankstation gebeurt,...? Rex vraagt daarna meerdere malen: leeft Saskia nog? Hierop antwoord Lemorne droog nee waarna een ongemakkelijke stilte valt. Na een lange stilte zegt Lemorne dat hij niet kan vertellen wat Saskia is overkomen, maar dat hij het hem wel kan laten herbeleven. Hierop vraagt Rex of dat dan zou betekenen dat hij ook sterft. Lemorne antwoord van ja en haalt een autosleutel uit zijn zak, Rex herkent gelijk dat het de autosleutels van Saskia waren. Hij wil snel de auto uit maar Lemorne zegt tegen Rex dat het geen nut heeft om naar de politie te gaan, omdat er niet genoeg bewijs is. Hij zegt hem ook dat hij hem elk moment in elkaar kan slaan maar dat hij weet dat Rex dat nooit zou doen. Na een paar minuten te hebben nagedacht gaat Lemorne verder. Hij zegt tegen Rex dat hij alles wat Saskia is overkomen hem kan laten herbeleven, maar dat als hij dat zou willen, hij zich in de volgende 5 minuten zou moeten beslissen. Rex antwoord meteen dat hij het wil en samen vertrekken ze naar het tankstation.

Eenmaal aangekomen bij het tankstation herkent Rex alles. Hij is er sinds de ontvoering nooit geweest maar hij herkent alles net of het gisteren was. Na het lege tankstation helemaal te hebben gezien schenkt Lemorne Rex een glas koffie in. Hij doet er slaapmiddel in en zegt tegen Rex dat hij het moet opdrinken, zodat hij het verhaal kan beginnen en zodat Rex dan na 15 min in slaap zou vallen. Rex drinkt de koffie braaf op en luistert dan aandachtig naar het verhaal van Lemorne wanneer die zijn heel verhaal af heeft van hoe hij Saskia in de auto kreeg is Rex nog steeds niet in slaap gevallen, maar na enkele minuten is dat wel het geval. Hij wordt een onbepaalde tijd later weer wakker. Hij zit vastgebonden en heeft moeite met ademen, dat komt omdat hij iets voor zijn mond heeft zitten. Hij voelt meteen dat het geen nut heeft te proberen zich los te maken. Hij rolt een beetje naar links en naar rechts. Naar boven en naar onder en dan begrijpt hij alles. Hij is levend begraven! Hij weet niet hoelang hij nog te leven heeft maar hij accepteert zijn dood meteen. Hij is vreedzaam en rustig aan het wachten dat de dood hem komt ophalen. Hij accepteert het omdat hij hetzelfde meemaakt als Saskia, en dat is alles wat hij nog wou. Hij denkt na over hoe ze er uit zou kunnen zien. Hij verzint zichzelf aan een eettafel met haar in een restaurant. Samen gezellig praten over het leven. Dit is alles wat Rex nog wou, weten wat er gebeurt was die ene avond. De avond die heel zijn leven veranderde. Daar zit hij dan, opgesloten in een kist in de donkere grond, het lijkt wel net op de droom van Saskia. Vastbesloten zitten in een gouden ei, zwevend in het heelal dat uit niets anders bestaat dan leegte. Wachtend op de toekomst, of de dood....

Pemaafnya Rasulullah Shallahu alaihi wassalam

“Laqod kaana lakum fii rosuulillaahi uswatun hasanatun”

“Sungguh, telah ada pada (diri) Rasulullah itu suri teladan yang baik bagimu.”

Betapa kerasnya hati kita, ia menjadi redup dan tak lagi menawan karena tertutup dinding keras yang tercipta oleh sikap lalu menjadikkannya sebuah benteng yang kokoh. Begitu gemuruh dan badai yang di hentakkan dunia, ujian yang diberikan Allah melalui orang-orang yang terkadang tidak terduga menjadikan hati keras mengkristal dan dada menyesak tak beruas.

Hidup ini tidak diciptakan untuk kesenanganmu sahaja, melainkan seimbang ada kalanya hidupmu begitu rumit. Banyak persoalan yang akan terus singgah dan akan ada hati yang terus menerus perlu di tata, dan kelapangan dada yang terus menerus diperluas.

Tidakkah kita sedikit malu, menjadikan Rasulullah sebagai teladan hidup. Namun., terlupa adanya sifat 'afwun dalam diri beliau yang begitu amat patut kita jadikan pegangan dalam menghadapi dinamika kehidupan.

Tidak terhitung begitu banyak cobaan yang Rasulullah kita hadapi di dunia. Mulai dari berbagai macam sindiran, hinaan, kekerasan, fitnah-fitnah, pengkhianatan dan bahkan pembunuhan.

Begitu 'Afwun nya Beliau Shallahu alaihi wassalam dengan darah mengalir di pelipisnya saking 'afwun nya beliau tak sedikit membalas selain dengan do'a terbaik dari bersihnya hati dan mulianya beliau.

Menyampaikan nasihat, kebenaran, kepada orang disekitar yang mungkin dulu dekat dengan beliau, tentangga, teman kecil beliau dan orang yang mengenal baik beliau. Penolakan yang didapat teramat pelik, Kata-kata yang menyakiti menyayat hati. kalau kita pun pasti merasakan sedih. Beliau pun merasakan namun memilih untuk menerima, berlapang dada, dan tidak menjadi sosok yang mendendam.

Ketika beliau sedang berjalan syal yang berada di leher di tarik oleh orang Arab Badui sehingga beliau tercekik dengan tujuan meminta harta yang Allah berikan kepada Rasulullah, apakah Rasulullah akan membalas, tentu tidak. Orang Arab Badui itun sangat paham betul dengan karakter beliau bahwa Rasul tidak akan membalas keburukan dengan keburukan.

Racun yang dicampurkan kedalam makanan Beliau dan para sahabat pun tidak lantas menggeser sifat 'afwun dalam diri beliau sedikitpun, meski para sahabat begitu meradangnya dan meminta membunuh si pemberi racun. Rasul melarang dan memaafkan beliau.

Masih banyak kisah pemaaf dan lapangnya dada beliau dalam menghadapi kerasnya hidup. Padahal beliau bisa saja membalas dan meminta kepada Allah azab kepada mereka. Tapi hal itulah yang menjadikan beliau Mulia.

Wahai diri, syumulah dalam meneladani beliau. Jadikan kisah-kisah perjalanan hidup beliau sebagai bekal dalam menjalani kehidupan, ujian tak seberapa yang kita hadapi di dunia jangan sampai menjadikanmu berlarut dalam kerasnya hati dan sempitnya dada.

Begitu banyak kejutan yang dunia suguhkan, menciptkan badai dalam diri yang tidak kunjung berhenti. Keluarga, Sahabat, teman dekat dan orang sekitar pun bisa jadi Allah titipkan ujian melalui mereka untuk meneguhkan dan menata kembali hati, dan menjadikan dada menjadi luas.

Tidak mengapa, bukti perihnya hati menandakan masih hidupnya nurani, mengukur sudah seluas apa dada ini. Outputnya pun kita semakin mengerti bahwa ada letak kebenaran pada orang lain yang tak kita mengerti dan ada kesalahan pada diri yang tak mampu kita deteksi.

Maka, serahkan hatimu pada Allah. Mintalah pada-Nya agar hati ini dibeningkan sebening mata air agar jelas dalam memandang; agar dak samar-samar dan gagal paham maksud semua yang terjadi.

Kita bukanlah Rasulullah yang telah Allah berikan hati dan dada yang lapang (QS 94:1) namun kita bisa mencontoh beliau bahwa semua ketenangan hati dan lapang nya dada bersumber dari Allah. Maka dari itu berdoala dengan doa yang baik.

Semoga Allah berikan kita ketenangan dalam menghadapi kondisi dan situasi apapun dalam menjalani ujian hidup dan menjadikan kita manusia yang memiliki sifat 'afwun atau pemaaf seperti Rasulullah Shallahu alaihi wassalam.
