This is a tough question because I don't really have an answer as it depends on the day. If you pointed a gun at me right now and I'd have to tell you something, I'd say Grace. She's amazing!

Gabriel's death. I'm still processing it. I don't think it was necessary to kill him, and in such a violent way. But then again, I'd keep Gwyneth too. Neither of them deserved such an ending.

Another thing I'd change is Owen's tendency to always play the hero. I know it's inherent to his character, but he becomes boring and predictable.

Pearce rolls his eyes at the sheer incompetence that he’s surrounded by. Fucking amateurs, all of them. How the hell is he supposed to dominate the game with these losers as his tribe-mates? Though, he thinks that he’ll have to keep an eye out for Carlos – he’s more reserved, more quiet, and that makes him uneasy. But he’s also physically competent, so Pearce supposes he’s worth keeping around, especially since he’s got him and the rest of their alliance eating out of the palm of his hand.

💡 - What’s your leading theory on Carlos this season?

I think that at the very start of season 5 we will see Carlos much happier and healthier than maybe ever before, he's married, in therapy, and possibly even back to church sometimes with Andrea! All of these would be amazing to see <3

HOWEVER, I am also #teamstalker when it comes to theories so I think at the very end of the episode we will see the phone call of either the killer themselves or another party involved haunting Carlos and threatening TK's safety. This will completely 180 Carlos' mental state either right away or as the season airs and climaxing in the finale.

Sadly he will also likely be a cop still but I will always be him support of changing jobs to literally anything else :P

TK opens the trunk with a click on the key in his pocket. He presses the combination into the lockbox, shielding it from view with his body, while Carlos stands off to the side watching Jones like a hawk. TK never really explained his role to him, but Carlos figured out relatively quickly his job was to just keep a lookout. They’ve been on several deals together at this point and he doesn’t think Carlos has ever spoken a word as it was going down.

He steps back tilting the box to show Jones the supply he’d requested. It’s a bigger deal than most; he’s a larger-scale distributor. TK doesn’t have any idea where the product goes after he passes it off and doesn’t want to. It’s not his business.

“120,” he says.

Jones’ eyes narrow. “You know the D.E.A. has been sniffing around my guys.”

TK blinks at him. “Okay.”

“120 is a big swing.”

“It’s six kilos, dude. That’s the price.” TK shrugs. “If you think you can get it cheaper elsewhere, be my guest.”

Jones just keeps looking at him, so TK closes the box. Judd won’t be entirely pleased if this deal goes belly-up, but TK’s not negotiating with this asshole. He’s not a mediator, that isn’t his job. The price is what it is, and there’s no shortage of clientele in this city.

“I’m just thinking maybe you could sweeten the deal a little,” Jones says, “since I’m the one taking all the risk.”

TK snorts. “Yeah, being the first point of entry when this stuff comes in from Columbia isn’t a risk at all. We’re just breezy over here.”

“We’ve worked together a long time.”

“Is that what you’d call it?”

“My guys are – ”

“Your guys,” TK interrupts, “are apparently so reckless that they’ve got Hank Schrader on their scent. I’m not giving you a discount for being a shitty manager. That is not my fucking problem, get your people under control.”

There’s movement out of the corner of his eye,  a faint click, and when TK looks back, there’s a gun pointing in his face.

🙄 What bothers you more: lone star’s retconning or lack of coherent timeline?

Absolutely the retcon business. I find it much easier to ignore the timeline since what is time anyway? it sure seems to have less meaning to me personally as I get older... but ignoring the way some of the retcon stuff makes characters look in hindsight/new context (most obviously the carlos stuff lol) is much harder to just ~handwave~ away for me. I just try to avoid having to think about either tbh.

📺 Episode with the best live watching experience for you.

This one is tough. I have very vivid memories of watching 1.08 when TK got shot and it immediately cutting to commercial break. and I was freaking out even though we all knew he was getting shot going into the episode cause the promo gave it away 😂

Other than that I think as far as watching with fandom, not sure much could beat 3.18 and the tarlos proposal. It was such a fun time getting to freak out on here about how wonderful that moment was and celebrating together. I feel like our collective celebration afterwards probably pulled some people into the fandom and convinced them to watch too which I think is so lovely!

I have not thought about any specific books and a lot of my favorite books are ones I’ve just read 80 times but I’ll try for some! I think either Nancy or Paul would like the Andy Weir books (Diff space sci-fi ish books) like Project Hail Mary or The Martian. Mateo I think would like the Percy Jackson series. Marjan would maybe like the hunger games? (SUCH A GOOD SERIES, also I saw your thing about being excited for the next book and so am I! Hoping we get some Haymitch POV and maybe something about Katniss’s parents?) TK i definitely think would be a show/movie person and totally agree about Carlos and his romance novels. (Don’t have any specifics for those lol my go-to’s are Historical Fiction, Fantasy, and Sci-Fi)

MATEO WOULD LOVE THE PERCY JACKSON SERIES. 1000%. I LOVE THIS. He and Nancy would watch the TV show together after they finish the books.

I'm so excited for the new Hunger Games book!! I also really hope we get some information about Katniss's parents. It's always so interesting to go back in that world and see how the new information we get changes the way we think about the old books. So, so excited for Haymitch's point of view as well!! Although it's absolutely going to be so sad. We should talk about the book once we've both read it once it comes out!!! (although I am a very slow reader -- if the audiobook comes out at the same time, I might listen to that).

Do you like the Hunger Games movies too? I love them. It's actually the only book to movie adaptation where I think the movies are just as good as the books (in my opinion)! I LOVED The Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes.

🐠 ok Nancy/Marjan headcanon(s) coming up! - Marjan is the secret romantic and loves to plan little dates for them just because she can. Like a random Tuesday night dinner date at a foodtruck TK mentioned once. - Marjan calls Nancy Fancy Nancy. Nancy loves it but doesn't let anyone else call her that. - Nancy fell first, Marjan fell harder. Once she admitted her feelings for Nancy to herself, she was ALL IN. - They both like to show off their girl on social media. Marjan even posts about her on her Firefox account and Nancy becomes #firefoxgf - Nancy feels bad for Mateo when she and Marjan go public but he's supportive (after a little pushing from the rest of the crew) and happy for them. - Marjan likes Nancy being taller, and not just because it means she's at boob height when they hug - though that doesn't hurt. - Nancy will absolutely punch any bigoted asshole in the throat if they dare say something negative about Marjan in any way. It got messy once and the cops were called. Thankfully Carlos was on shift and only "arrested" her and gave her and Marjan a ride home - and told her he was 100% on her side.

TK know's he's sulking. He can feel the knots in his shoulders getting tighter and tighter, and it's not just because he's been sleeping on a slab of uneven bamboo for the last 14 nights. He hears rustling behind him, the signs of an obvious tail that's been following him since he left camp. He spins around on his heels, already knowing whose concerned, brown eyes he's going to find.

"Are you seriously babysitting me right now, Carlos?" he asks furiously. He had mentally prepared himself for the cow-eyes that he was going to be met with, but even still, he feels a bit bad seeing Carlos's guilt-ridden expression.

❤️ - How are TK and Carlos celebrating their 1st anniversary?

It’s a whole deal in the month~ leading up to it. Both of them have the day of and the day after off per request, and Nancy wants to strangle TK by the end of his last shift beforehand because he CANNOT shut up about it. She loves it.

They do a fancy dinner with their cute in house date outfits and set up the night before, go to a fancy restaurant the night of, and the day after have dinner with Andrea because they’re feeling Sentimental and Owen is working a 24hr.

Lots of cuddling and enjoying each other’s company, lots and lots of sex of course. Definitely lots of feelings since the week leading up to it all is a whirlwind, and it’s officially been a year since Gabriel’s passing. Carlos is all over the place mentally but has been in therapy and works with TK on expressing how it makes him feel. He’s very down and unsure of a lot of things but as soon as they see each other for the first time after they’re both off duty for the next couple of days? All of the fades away and he’s protected by the bubble they set up for themselves.

Also fuck it they adopt a cat and dog!!

Know what I loved about the episodes that not enough people are talking about? Paul’s girlfriend has reached Invited to Catan Nights level of serious.

You know what would be sweet as all heck. Is if inviting her was TK and Carlos's idea. If they suggested "hey invite your new girl!" and Paul's initial instinct was to say no just because 126 game night is sacred and he didn't want to impose but Tarlos insisted. They were the ones who wrapped him up and made him feel safe and loved and accepted in season one when that woman found out he was trans and didn't want him anymore, so they are for sure SO over the moon about him finding someone who sees him and knows him and loves him for exactly who he is.
