Almost Caught
kai parker x reader
summary: innocent cuddling turns into something more on one of the few nights a week joshua parker lets you spend alone time with kai. who can blame you, as strict as he is? (pre-1994-PW)
tags: fluff, smut, vaginal sex, gentle sex, hand-jobs / blow-jobs
word count: ~1.5k
It started out innocently, and you really didnât mean for it to escalate, but how could you resist, when heâs looking at you like that?!
Youâre lying in the bed, cuddled up beside your boyfriend, while another episode of Law & Order rolls out on the TV. You yawn. This is probably the eighth episode about to play that youâre watching in one sitting, and the bright screen is slowly making you tired. When you turn to face Kai, heâs already looking at you.
âWhat?â
He drags a finger along your jawline, ânothing.â
âHow long have you been looking at me?â
âLonger than you think.â
âWhy?â
âBecause youâre beautiful.â
A pink blush paints your cheeks. Upon seeing it, Kai leans forward to kiss your nose, making you giggle. The encouragement brings him to then kiss your cheeks, forehead, and finally, your lips.
You kiss him back, hands on his chest. âYou are too.â
He doesnât answer verbally, but continues his attack of kisses all over your face. It was innocent at first, but then heâs rolling over on top of you, kissing with more intensity. Deeper, capturing your lips between his teeth, sucking on your skin. His lips move to your neck; hips straddling your waist. You gasp as you feel him getting hard through his jeans. The end of his length pokes into your leg.
âWe shouldnât,â you whisper.Â
âHeâll never know.â
âKai-â
âItâll be okay.â
You open your mouth to argue again, but pressure on your clit stops you. You didnât even notice his hand snaking down in between your legs, up your skirt, but there it is. âOh!â
âShh, princess. Donât want to get caught.â
You nod furiously.
âDo you want this?â He asks, not wanting to push you. If you really donât, heâll stop. But if the only thing holding you back is his father, heâll gladly work around that fear.
âYes.âÂ
âOkay.â Kai stops for two seconds to unbutton your shirt. When itâs open enough, he pulls it over your head flawlessly. Your breasts are on display for him now, barely covered by a pink lace bra. Heâs too impatient to undo your bra, though, and instead forces his head around the material to start sucking on your nipple. His fingers return to your clit, making figure-eights again. âYouâre so fucking beautiful,â he repeats.
Your eyes roll back in your head as you try to not react to the sensations. But the pleasure is overwhelming, and you have to bite your lip hard. âKai,â you whisper. He kisses your tits, pulling your nipples through his teeth. âAh!â Your hands are gripping his shoulders, but his hard against your body makes you crave a more direct touch. Slowly, you move them downwards until youâre feeling him through his pants.
âPrincess,â he moans. The vibration sends tingles all over your body.Â
âI want you.â
âI want to get you wetter first,â he insists, immediately ducking his head down and along your body. You start to argue, but then his tongue slips between your folds. Your hands that lost contact with his bulge find your way into his hair, pulling sharply. His moan into your heat does make you wetter, but heâs not finished yet. Kai starts out slowly, but isnât that way for long. He flicks his tongue quickly over your entrance, drawing out more and more of your arousal. His nose tickles your clit each time he moves his face. âLet me get you ready,â he warns as he puts a finger inside of you. He pumps it in and out for a little before adding a second, then a third.Â
âIâm gonna cum, Kai.â
âCum for me, come on,â he encourages. He doesnât lose his pace, nor does he lift his face out of the way at all. Moments later, you release on him, coating his nose with your sweetness. âGood girl,â he leans up to kiss you. You catch him off guard, sucking your juice off his nose. He smiles, âare you ready?â
âMhm, please.â
âOkay. Remember to be quiet.â
âI will.â
âGood girl,â he repeats. Slowly, he unzips his pants and pulls himself through the hole. He teases just a little before pushing through your entrance, filling you up comfortably. You take him well, feeling minimal pain from the stretch. âTell me when.â
âNow. Youâre good.â
âOkay.â Gentle thrusts are made to push himself in and almost out of you as he creates a rhythm. He doesnât pick up pace, worried that the bed will squeak, but he makes up for that elsewhere. His arms lay beside you, keeping himself in place and keeping your bodies close. His lips attach to your collarbone, sucking dark spots in every area of skin he knows he can. Your legs wrap around his waist so he can thrust deeper, while your hands grip the sheets. Kai moves along your body, pumping into you, worshiping your skin. Youâre both so lost in pleasure, but then,
âFuck, I hear my dad,â he whispers close to your ear.Â
You detach your legs from his hips, âoh god.â
In a couple of seconds, Kaiâs off your body and has you both pulled under the blankets. The shirt he pulled off you makes its way under, too, covering his cock in case heâs visibly hard underneath. You move closer to him and close your eyes, while trying to ignore the length pressing into you, again.Â
âBreathe, princess, itâll be okay.â
Two seconds later, the door swings open, âMalachai?â
âHey.â
âShe still here?â
âYeah, she fell asleep though. Can she stay over so that she doesnât have to walk back home in the dark?â
âAlright. Thatâs fine, I guess. Leave some room between you two, though. And remember to keep this door unlocked. If I hear anything suspicious at all, you know the consequences.â
âI know. Thanks for letting her stay, though. She doesnât like the dark.â
âIâll let her father know sheâs staying.â
âOkay.â
The man shuts the door, but neither of you move until his footsteps depart completely.Â
âThat was close,â he mutters, âIâm sorry.â
âSorry for what?â
âThat we had to stop. Felt so good.â
You bite your lip, âoh, yeah. Itâs okay, though. I donât want him to hurt you. Do you want to⌠get back to it?â
âI donât know. Iâm scared heâll come back.â
âOkay.â Youâre both quiet for a minute, but then you say, âat least let me get you off. Youâre so hard, youâll never get to sleep.â
âItâs okay, princess. Iâll live.â
âPlease, Kai. I donât want you to just live, I want you to be satisfied.â
âIâm satisfied just having you.â
âKai.â
âWhat?â
âIâll be quick and quiet. Just let me, please. If you really donât want it, Iâll stop, but I know you secretly do.â
He swallows, âokay. But be careful. Iâll keep an ear out for anything.â
âGood,â you kiss his nose, then let your hands wander between the sheets.Â
You start with finger light touches tracing his length, feeling all the veins prominent on his skin. With the bit of precum gathered at the top, you wet him, making it easier when you start to jerk him off. He pants, biting his lip hard enough to draw blood.Â
âBite me,â you tell him, âbite into my collarbone. You canât hurt me.â Desperate, he does. You have to hold back your own moan at the sensation. âGood boy.â
Itâs funny how you switch into the praising role the minute you take over. The both of you switch roles often, though heâs mostly dominant, he also loves the care. Reversely, you mostly love being told what to do, but every once in a while, you like to be the one with the orders.Â
âYouâre doing so well,â you praise again, picking up pace. âCan you do something for me, Kai?â
âMhm,â he nods quickly.
âBite this pillow real quick,â you grab the end of your pillow with one hand and bring it towards his mouth. He moves his teeth off your skin to latch onto the fabric instead. âGood boy, stay like that.â Then, you dip your head under the blankets, sinking down until your level with his cock. Before he can realize what youâre doing, your lips are moving around him. Your tongue traces his veins again, and then you bob your head up and down on his length. One hand moves further down to cup and pull at his balls, and you feel him tense to avoid moaning.
Within a couple minutes of your newly established rhythm, Kai unclenches his teeth, âgonna cum.â You have barely enough time to wrap your lips around his tip before the back of your throat is coated white. You suck a few times to ensure nothing will leak on the sheets, and then finally, you come back to the surface of the bed.Â
âHi,â you smile.
âHi, beautiful. That was perfect.â
âFeel more tired now?â
âMhm. Thank you.â
âNo need to thank me. You did a perfect job, too.â
He grins, kissing you, âgoodnight, my love.â He tastes himself on your lips, and canât help but enjoy it.
âGoodnight to you too, angel.â

Random thought but if Kai was a professional sports player which sport would u pick for him??
Okay for the first time, I am high-key struggling with this. I used to play a number of sports in high school, and watched several in college, too, but looking at this question, my mind has just gone blank. But it's been sitting in my inbox long enough so I better answer it before I feel too bad. đ
Disclaimer: I have no idea what I'm talking about.
So, first I thought maybe soccer, because it's not too much contact but is still considered a contact sport. I feel like Kai's someone who's not a fan of his personal space being invaded, so I can't see him doing [american] football or anything like that. Plus, he's kinda a little guy, but not a delicate little guy, so he's capable of contact sports, but I can't see him doing collision-heavy sports like football.
Then I considered rugby, where there's more contact than soccer, but still not as much as football. I feel like rugby is a sport where fights break out a lot, and Kai would 100% be involved in a sports' related fight. Hockey, too, maybe, if we're taking fighting into account. đ And Oregon's relatively close to Canada, so hockey is probably at least somewhat prevalent.
If you didn't say professional sports player, I would've said track and field, and went with the storyline that his mom signed him up when he was in middle school and he got stuck in it. She wanted him to be amongst his peers but not in a contact sport, and decided that was the perfect option. He complained almost daily.
That, or in high school, he played basketball for the sole purpose of getting to watch cheerleaders. He'd be purposely bad so he'd always be out and could watch them instead of playing. But professionally, he wouldn't do basketball; I just can't see it.
Volleyball, I can see him playing professionally. It's fast-paced (as are most sports), but not so much that you can't catch your breath every once in a while. It isn't a contact sport, and requires a lot of reliance on your teammates. If Kai was a professional sports player without his trauma, he'd probably play this, although with his trauma, I'm not so sure.
Last but not least (I certainly didn't almost forget about this one), he might play baseball. I don't really know why, he just kinda has the vibes. Plus, baseball players tend to be the cutest of sports players, and he would much enjoy the attention he'd be sure to receive. Oh! And there's that detail where he had a backpack full of every Alex Rodriguez baseball card, so canonically, he's a big baseball fan.
Now...
Most likely NOT:
swimming - I read a fic awhile back that said he didn't know how to swim, yet in the '94 PW would keep going back in the ocean / water anyway & would continuously drown, and I feel like that's pretty on par for Kai
basketball - just seems too fast-paced, & I can see him doing it in high school, but not professionally
wrestling - just no... he likes touching people but not that much, đ
or that could just be me, who absolutely hates wrestling
Most likely:
rugby - contact but not collision; he'd be a fight-picker
baseball - canonically a fan + the attention + vibes
Winner: Baseball
Once I remembered the Alex Rodriguez detail, it sold it for me. Plus you can't tell me he wouldn't just love getting girls' attention with that uniform. đ It's also not a sport that's too dependent on your teammates, and also not too much of a contact sport. Seems like a good middle ground for him.
#i looked up a list of sports to do this and one of them was bowling#how tf is bowling a sport#anyway#i'm so sorry this took me so long#i finally got a minute to think today and was able to answerđ#kai parker#the vampire diaries#if you're curious i played volleyball and soccer in hs#and 1 year basketball; 2 years cheerleading#but also danced for 12 years; maybe kai would dance too idk#definitely has the form for it if he can get over 80s/90s stigma about men dancing

Favorite Takes - Marvel/Spider-Man
Where I cite my personal favorite non-source material (so film, TV, and video games only) adaptations of some comic book characters.
Peter Parker/Spider-Man
Insomniac Games (Yuri Lowenthal)
Marvel VS Capcom (Josh Keaton)
Spider-Man 90's Animated Series (Christopher Daniel Barnes)
The Spectacular Spider-Man (Josh Keaton)
Marvel's Spider-Man (Robbie Daymond)
Sony/MCU (Tobey Maguire, Andrew Garfield, and Tom Holland)
NOTE: And the Spider-Men voiced by Paul Soles, Dan Gilvezan, Ted Schwartz, Rino Romano, Neil Patrick Harris, Chris Edgerly, James Arnold Taylor, Mike Vaughn, Mike Kelley, Sam Reigel, Sean Chiplock, Griffin Burns, Jake Johnson, and Hudson Thames are all contenders.
Mary Jane Watson
Insomniac Games (Laura Bailey)
Sam Raimi Trilogy (Kirsten Dunst)
MCU (Zendaya Coleman)
MTV Spider-Man New Animated Series (Lisa Loeb)
The Spectacular Spider-Man (Vanessa Marshall)
Marvel Rising (Tara Strong) and Marvel's Spider-Man (Felicia Day)
NOTE: Other fine MJs are Andrea Taylor in the Ultimate Spider-Man video game, Dana Seltzer in Web of Shadows, Laura Vandervoort in Edge Of Time, Quinn Ljoka in Marvel Avengers Academy, and Zoe Kravitz in Into The Spiderverse. Kari Wahlgren also did a decent Kirsten Dunst in the Spider-Man 3 video game, and Erika Harlacher Stone was spot on casting for her in Spider-Geddon, albeit wasted.
Gwen Stacy
Marvel's Spider-Man (Laura Bailey)
The Spectacular Spider-Man (Lacey Chabert)
Spiderverse Trilogy (Hailee Steinfeld)
Marvel Rising (Dove Cameron)
Mark Webb Duology (Emma Stone)
Sam Raimi Trilogy (Bryce Dallas Howard)
NOTE: Yeah, Laura Bailey is Best MJ AND Best Gwen! And the only other Gwens I think come close to contending with these ones would be the ones voiced by Mary Kay Bergman and Ashley Johnson.
Harry Osborn
Sam Raimi Trilogy (James Franco)
The Spectacular Spider-Man (James Arnold Taylor)
MTV Spider-Man New Animated Series (Ian Ziering)
Marvel's Spider-Man (Max Mittelman)

Marvel's Spider-Man (Bob Joles)

Spiderverse Trilogy (Shamiek Moore)
Insomniac Games (Nadji Jeter)
Marvel's Spider-Man (Nadji Jeter)
Ultimate Spider-Man (Donald Glover, Ogie Banks)

NOTE: I'm not OK with the casting of that last one, though. Why???
Norman Osborn/The Green Goblin
The Spectacular Spider-Man (Alan Rachins, Steve Blum)
Sam Raimi Trilogy + MCU (Willem Dafoe)
Marvel's Spider-Man (Josh Keaton)
Spider-Man 90s Animated Series (Neil Ross)
Insomniac Games (Mark Rolston) and The Black Order (Steve Blum)
LEGO Marvel (Nolan North, Josh Keaton)
NOTE: Steven Weber in Ultimate Spider-Man was a decent Norman but an awful Goblin, while Len Carlson, Dennis Marks, and Sam Vincent all did good Green Goblins but weren't really Normans.
Otto Octavius/Doctor Octopus
Sam Raimi Trilogy + MCU (Alfred Molina)
Insomniac Games and The Black Order (William Salyers)
The Spectacular Spider-Man (Peter Macnicol)
Marvel's Spider-Man (Scott Menville)
Spider-Man 90's Animated Series (Efrem Zimbalist Jr.)
Universal Studios Ride (Rodger Bumpass)
NOTE: Olivia Octavius isn't included here since this is just for Otto. Vernon Chapman, Cam Clarke, Joe Alaskey, Charlie Adler, Tom Kenny, Kyle Hebert, and Dee Bradley Baker were also good Ottos.

Marvel's Spider-Man (Ben Diskin, Ben Pronsky)
Insomniac Games (Tony Todd)
The Spectacular Spider-Man (Ben Diskin)
Spider-Man PS1 (Daran Norris) and Sony/MCU (Tom Hardy)
Web of Shadows (Keith Szarabajka) and Sam Raimi Trilogy

Ultimate Spider-Man Game (Daniel Capallero)
Sony/MCU (Tom Hardy)
Sam Raimi Trilogy (Topher Grace)
Spider-Man 90's Animated Series (Hank Azaria)

Insomniac Games (Dwight Schultz)
NOTE: Gillie Fenwick, Paul Soles, Don Messick, Christopher Tabori, Brian George and Steve Blum also deserve acknowledgement here.

MCU (Jake Gyllenthal)
Shattered Dimensions (David Kaye)
The Spectacular Spider-Man (Xander Berkley)
Spider-Man 90's Animated (Gregg Berger)
NOTE: Also mesmerizing as Mysterio were Daran Norris, Dee Bradley Baker, James Arnold Taylor, Robin Atkins Downes, Greg Baldwin, and Crispin Freeman.
Hobgoblin
Spider-Man 90's Animated Series (Mark Hamill)
Marvel Superhero Adventures (Andrew Francis)
Universal Studios Ride (Patrick Fraley)
The Spectacular Spider-Man (Courtney B. Vance)
Shattered Dimensions (Steve Blum)
NOTE: Marvel's Spider-Man barely counts for this, as it was just Harry and Norman respectively wearing a phony superhero identity.
Scorpion
Sam Raimi Trilogy Video Games (Michael McColl, Dee Bradley Baker)
Insomniac Games (Jason Spisak)
Spider-Man 90's Animated Series (Martin Landau, Richard Moll)
Marvel's Spider-Man (Jason Spisak)

Sam Raimi Trilogy Video Games (Holly Fields)
Mark Webb Duology Video Games (Ali Hillis)
NOTE: Audrey Wasilewski, Katee Sachkhoff, Grey Griffin, Mel Gorsha, and Erika Harlacher Stone were also contenders here.
Michael Morbius
Spider-Man 90's Animated Series (Nick Jameson)
Sony/MCU (Jared Leto)
Ultimate Spider-Man (Ben Diskin)
Sam Raimi Trilogy Games (Sean Donnellan)
Marvel Superhero Squad (Tom Kenny)
Wilson Fisk/The Kingpin
MCU (Vincent D'onofrio)
Sony Daredevil 2003/MTV Spider-Man New Animated Series (Michael Clarke Duncan)
Spider-Man 90's Animated Series (Roscoe Lee Brown)
The Punisher Video Game (David Sobolov)
Raimi Trilogy Video Game (Bob Joles)
Insomniac Games (Travis Willingham) and The Black Order (Tim Blaney)
NOTE: Tom Harvey, Stan Jones, Stephen Stanton, Gregg Berger, Jim Cummings and JB Blanc also gave commendable takes on Fisk that worked for the iterations they were playing. Sorry to say, Spiderverse fans, but Liev Schreiber's Kingpin does nothing for me.
Doctor Doom
Marvel Ultimate Alliance (Clive Revill)
90's Animated Marvel (Neil Ross, Simon Templeman, Tom Kane, Ross Marquand)
Avengers: Earth's Mightiest Heroes (Lex Lang)
Marvel VS Capcom (Paul Dobson)
Disney Marvel Animation and The Black Order (Maurice LeMarche)
The Fantastic Four '94 film (Joseph Culp)
Spider-Man 80's Animated Series (Ralph James)
NOTE: Henry Ramer, Freddy Stebbin, Charlie Adler, Fred Tatasciore, Travis Willingham, and Grahama McTavish are also good Dooms.

When she was a few months shy of turning fourteen, her dad moved them to his homeland of England. Molly makes fast friends with the other new girl in their Ealing neighborhood, Maria Jackson, and finds a mentor and mother figure in her grandfather's old friend, Sarah Jane Smith. Molly investigates alien and strange occurrences in and around Ealing with the rest of the Bannerman Road gang, while trying to unravel her own, personal mystery.
My OCs (supporting):
Rebecca Nicole "Becca" Brown
FC: Staci Keanan
The younger sister of Bobby Brown. Best friend of Julie Lawrence. Becca is an outspoken girl who doesn't back down, whether challenging Dutch or defending Julie.
Jenny, Jordan, Josh, Jesse, and Jayden Parker
FC: Khrystyne Haje (Jenny), Jimmy Deschler (Jordan), Grayson Russell (Josh), Jack Gore (Jesse), and Iain Armitage (Jayden)
Jenny is Jimmy's wife in canon, yet has never been seen, only referred to onscreen in one episode. My Jenny is a calm, loving, and level-headed woman, partner, and mother.
Jordan and Josh are Jimmy and Jenny's eldest sons, fraternal twins. Jordan is the athlete and Josh is the sensitive musician. They are each other's best friends. Jesse is/was the troublesome middle child, always getting into mischief. Jayden is the innocent baby of the family, only eight years old. Jenny and Josh were the first ones to welcome Alyssa into their family.
David Alexander Franklin Yates
FC: Jamie Bamber
The son Mike Yates didn't know he had until David was an adult. David is an architect who spent years working abroad in the States. He does the best he can as a single father. David is unaware of his father's past work with UNIT or much of what his daughter gets into with Sarah Jane.

My taste in music in 20 albums
On Instagram I was challenged by @piahinckle to choose 20 albums that greatly influenced my taste in music. One album per day, for 20 consecutive days. No explanations (mostly), no reviews, just cover images on my Instagram @rialdrummer.
Proceeding from the first posting on December 11.
Max Roach and the MâBoom ensemble âRe: Percussionâ the album is sometimes called. I heard this in the early â80s at a time I was getting interested in the history of jazz and particularly jazz drummers. Had the good fortune to see Maxâs quartet (Cecil Bridgewater, Odean Pope, Tyrone Brown) at the old Yoshiâs, around the time of the âScott Freeâ album. This MâBoom record planted a seed for my later musical explorations in the â90s and started an appreciation for me of Max Roach as bandleader and conceptualist. Iâd already heard some of his work with Charlie Parker. A decade later my band was covering âMorning / Middayâ and âJamaican Sunâ by this group and I was email pals with Omar Clayâs partner.
The Mamas and the Papas âA Gathering Of Flowersâ. Â On the turntable constantly during my late high school years. Released between the â68 breakup and the â71 reunion. Interviews on the record with Cass and John hint at the glories and disappointments felt in the group.
Van Morrison âTupelo Honeyâ. Great songs, ace band. The title track is really a classic (Cassandra Wilsonâs cover is further evidence). Gary Mallaber (vibes) and Ronnie Montrose (guitar) stand out to me.
Family âFearlessâ. United Artists was a label that took chances on musical artistry and signing Family was a commercial risk. Â I found this album in 1973 in a cutout bin and it had only been out for 18 months. Â The album is in turns gritty and pretty. All songwriting, playing and singing contributions are excellent, with John Wetton playing a key role on guitar, bass and vocals.
Rory Gallagher âIrish Tour â74â. Songs burned into memory from my days as a record store clerk and DJ. Most of my friends in the day were Rory fans going back to his band Taste and a few of us saw him at UC Santa Barbara around 1974. If I had to pick one Rory recordâŚÂ Watch him on YouTube.
âThe Drumsâ. Prez Records in Santa Rosa was a destination store for me in the â80s and I found this used 3-album set for cheap there. Introduced me to Art Blakey (âAla Modeâ remains a favorite song of mine), Connie Kay playing with Milt Jackson, Dannie Richmond, Paul Motian and many more great tracks.
Iain Matthews âValley Hiâ. Michael Nesmith cut a lot of great sides within and after The Monkees. To my ears almost nothing by him surpasses the achievement of helming this album. Iâve followed Matthewsâs career going back to his brief time in Fairport Convention up to the last decade and I know heâs not crazy about this record but to me itâs absolutely a gem. Songs by Randy Newman, Jackson Browne, Steve Young (âSeven Bridges Roadâ before the Eagles recorded it) among others.
Gil Scott-Heron âPieces Of A Manâ. It had to be a long shot that an AM rock station would put âLady Day and John Coltraneâ on their playlist but thatâs what KRLA in Pasadena did. And so I heard it and began an appreciation of Gil Scott-Heron that I continue to hold.
Marc Benno âMinnowsâ. This was another AM radio long shot in 1971 and KRLA won the day again for âSpeak Your Mindâ. A ballad that ebbs and flows in intensity. Jim Keltnerâs drumming first caught my ear on this song. This was around the time that Benno was playing rhythm guitar with The Doors on the L.A. Woman sessions, and after his collaborations with Leon Russell on the Asylum Choir albums. Many friends of mine also appreciate this album.
Weather Report âSweetnighterâ. Previously unaware of Wayne Shorter and Joe Zawinul, I saw Weather Report in July of 1973 and âBoogie Woogie Waltzâ convinced me that I needed to dig more deeply into this music.
Fairport Convention âWhat We Did On Our Holidaysâ. Along with the records that Nick Drake would make a few months later, sums up for me some great years of British âfolk rockâ.
10cc âSheet Musicâ. Between their first two albums this one comes out on top for me. Itâs close. I was a fan from the release of âRubber Bulletsâ.
Harry Belafonte âCalypsoâ. âJamaica Farewellâ was likely the first set of song lyrics I memorized. Mum had his playing often in our apartment in the late â50s.
Brinsley Schwarz âNervous On The Roadâ. I like this best of the bandâs records (it may be because adding Ian Gomm to the band was so complimentary to the talents of Nick Lowe, Brinsley, Bob Andrews and Billy Rankin). For this pick I could have swapped out Dave Edmundsâs âGet Itâ or the Rockpile album âSeconds of Pleasureâ but since the list is supposed to describe how my tastes were influenced it makes sense to refer to early period Brinsley. Made me a Nick Lowe fan for life.
The Monkees âPisces, Aquarius, Capricorn & Jones Ltd.â. Â My introduction to the group. I hadnât seen the tv show at that time (November and December 1967) at least as far as I recall. Coming at them strictly through these tracks I was impressed by songwriting, production, vocals, guitars and humor. Â Not bubblegum, at all.
âPat Metheny Groupâ By September 1978 I was being introduced to ECM albums by a friend. Iâd enjoyed previous ones but that month when I heard the first notes of âSan Lorenzoâ something resonated with me that hasnât stopped.
Graham Parker and the Rumour âStick To Meâ. This is a rough-and-ready collection produced by Nick Lowe. Drumming by Steve Goulding, guitar leads by Martin Belmont are highlights. The title song, âSoul On Iceâ, âClear Headâ are standouts in a great set making this my favorite GP album for all time.
The Gary Burton Quartet with Eberhard Weber âPassengersâ. Â I think this was probably the beginning of my awareness of Gary Burtonâs albums. A great introduction. As a vibes player myself there are major lessons and enjoyment for me throughout his catalog.
Love âForever Changesâ. Surrounded by Love fans in my 20s but not giving the group much time of day then, I locked into the bandâs and Arthur Leeâs artistry in my 40s. Like so many people I now appreciate every song on this classic album. Was fortunate to catch the 2003 edition of the band at The Fillmore.
Gene Clark âNo Otherâ. After leaving The Byrds, Clark wrote and recorded many excellent songs showcasing his poetic and melodic gifts. This album is the top of the mountain for me, and public appreciation for the songs and the production have grown greatly in the 50 years since its release. YouTube has video of a tribute tour for the album from a decade ago.
RUNNERS-UP
Elvis Costello and the Attractions âImperial Bedroomâ and âThis Yearâs Modelâ
XTC âEnglish Settlementâ
Beach Boys âSummer Days (and Summer Nights!)â and âSunflowerâ
(Many) Iain Matthews records across the decades, along with titles by his Fairport mates Sandy Denny, Dave Mattacks, Richard Thompson, Ashley Hutchings, Judy Dyble. A nod too to drummer Martin Lamble who had a playing style so well suited to their early records.

Rolling Stones âDecemberâs Childrenâ
The Move âShazamâ
Joni Mitchell âFor the Rosesâ
Bruce Springsteen âThe Wild The Innocent and the E Street Shuffleâ

âThe power of three will set you free.â We are excited to announce our third and final guest from Charmed to the Washington State Summer Con. Please welcome one of televisionâs greatest icons of the â90s, Shannen Doherty, to the lineup in Puyallup from June 23rd through the 25th. Shannen Doherty started her career as a child actress at just 11 years old, starring in Little House on the Prairie as Jenny Wilder. She then appeared in Our House with Deidre Hall and Wilford Brimley. She also starred alongside Sarah Jessica Parker, and Helen Hunt in Girls Just Want to Have Fun and then in Heathers, a teen comedy also starring Winona Ryder. Her real success came in 1990, at the age of 19, when she was cast in Aaron Spelling's long-running hit series Beverly Hills, 90210 as Brenda Walsh. Shannen continued her work in movies, starring in the thriller Almost Dead and the comedy Mallrats. During the fall of 1998, she reunited with long-time producer Aaron Spelling when she was cast as Prue Halliwell on Charmed, a show about three ordinary women who happen to be witches. She starred in Charmed for three years and also directed three of her last episodes. She continued her work in movies by starring in Another Day, The Rendering, The Battle of Mary Kay, and View of Terror. In 2003, she hosted season one of Scare Tactics and season two with only eight episodes and then left to pursue other endeavors. Shannen returned to television on Fox's drama series North Shore. In 2006, she starred in her own reality series, Breaking Up with Shannen Doherty. Doherty and her former Charmed co-star Holly Marie Combs would star in their road-trip reality show, Off the Map with Shannen & Holly, in 2015. Meet Shannen Doherty at the Washington State Summer Con. She will be with us Saturday and Sunday, meeting her fans, signing autographs, and joining Rose and Holly for an epic Charmed reunion panel. kai parker + lip ring
have you guys taken a close look at his face and even thought about how hot he'd look with a lip ring? because i have, and i have some thoughts
tw: some nsfw
word count: ~400
as a big follower of the 90s era grunge / rock genre, kai had always wanted a lip piercing
his dad would never allow it, so he gave himself one in the prison world
at first, it was mostly a novelty, but with time, it became more of a stim, so he never took it out
he liked running his tongue over his bottom lip, feeling how the cool metal contrasted his otherwise warm skin
he liked licking it, biting it, and teasing it as a past time
sometimes, he'd pull it too far and hurt himself, but he quickly learns he liked that, too
when he got to the modern world, he was shocked at the decrease in the grunge style, which was a major disappointment, but he didn't let that affect him
he had lived in the 90s for twenty years, and wasn't going to change for the modern day
and lucky for him, you liked that about him
soon, he learned, he liked you, too; an initial curiosity turned into a crush
plus, you were one of the only people that would actually listen to him instead of villainize him
and when you admitted how hot you think he looked with his lip ring, he knew, even more, it was never coming out
the first time you kissed him, blurring the line between friends and something else, you were both nervous
he had never kissed anyone before, and you had never kissed a boy with a lip ring - despite that being a secret thing you've always had
so, needless to say, it was an experience for you both
his lips were softer than you'd imagined; the ring was cool to the touch, sending a jolt down your spine
after realizing how much you enjoyed kissing each other, you started a steady relationship
your relationship is equally loving as it is sexual
and boy, especially with that little magic ring, is it sexual
all kai needs to do is look at you and run his tongue over his bottom lip, and you're kissing him the next second
you like to play with the ring almost as much as he does
and often leave his lower lip red and sore from your sucking and teasing
whenever this happens, he's completely unable to control his moans
they tumble out of his mouth hurriedly. his eyelids flutter in pleasure, and his hands dig in your hair for something to grab onto
you also love the feeling of his mouth on your tits; warm everywhere except that one cooler spot
your breasts are wet with the spit of your sex-drunk lover
his fingers are on your clit, driving you crazy in the best way
or, it's his mouth on your clit instead
he kisses down your stomach, then sticks his tongue out to tease between your folds
his hands grip your hips tightly, holding you in place, and contradicting the warmth of his mouth and the heat scorching your body, the cold metal rests on your skin, providing an unusual, yet heavenly sensation
he bites on your neck, your lips, your thighs, resulting in hickies, most of the time, but sometimes, small indents from his teeth
the longer his mouth works against your body, the more his ring adapts to the friction
it isn't cool to the touch anymore, but you can still feel the shape and outline of where it is, and that turns you on just as much as the difference in temperature
in summary, it drives you crazy; he drives you crazy
you are always teasing each other, always touching each other in some way
your friends don't understand it - not only how you're able to tolerate him, let alone love him
but in a quick couple of weeks, you realize you absolutely, completely love him
and it all started because you couldn't stop staring at his pretty pink lips, and that ring that adorns them
#the thought of him with a lip ring makes me feral#y'all that thanksgiving ep (6x8) where he's talking to bonnie at the kitchen table in portland and playing with his lip#my mind trips and falls straight into the gutter#there's a little indent on the left side i think where i imagine he'd have one#also my pfp i can see where he'd have it#just đ¤¤#don't be surprised if i add to this#malachai parker x reader#kai parker x reader#tvd fanfiction#kai parker smut#kai parker headcanons

90 - Parker/Lane Family Reunion
Part 91
Gemini Runaway
@icefrye19 @secretdreamlandmentality
Opening my eyes I slowly looked around recognizing the Portland house living room in front of me. Sitting upright on the couch I heard footsteps coming inside before I saw my brother. âRaelyn! Where are the girls?â
âI donât know.â I blurted out slowly moving around the house walking up the stairs until we ended up in the living room. Everything was the same as I could remember from when we went looking for the Ascendant after my uncle died.
Jacob followed behind me in a panic. âIf we created a new prison world they could be anywhere in the world. But why did we create this of all places and not New Orleans, or Mystic Falls, or our house even?â
âI have no idea, J. All I can think is this is where Gemini magic was the strongest. And thatâs what we are after.â I glanced over my shoulder hearing footsteps coming down the hallway. Creating some fire in my hand ready to fight.
Jacob stepped closer to me before we saw the figure coming out of the shadows. âRaelyn. Jacob, is it really you two?â
âOh my gosh, JoâŚwait a second whatâs the last thing you remember.â I gasped seeing the streak of dark black hair slowly walking towards us. She was wearing her weddingâs dress and there was still a blood stain where Kai stabbed her.
She sniffed through tears looking around the room confused. âUh you trying to feed me your blood. UmâŚmorning sickness, mine and Ricâs vows. My psychopathic twin brother with a very large knife.â
âDaddy!â A girlâs voice rang through the hallway and the front door shut loudly.
Jacob and I turned our heads seeing Andrea who jumped up into her fatherâs waiting arms. âOh thereâs my girl.â
âWoah how long have I been dead?â Jo asked, eyeing me.
Running a hand through my hair I gulped nervously. âA few months. Uh Jo, this is my brotherâs daughter Andrea.â Turning my head back towards the staircase hearing some loud footsteps coming.
âMom, Lina and Missy are with uncle Joshua!â Hope holler took my hand and dragged me through the house until we ended up in the backyard. Before my eyes I sucked in a breath seeing my uncle standing in front of me again.
He was bent down a knee over Lukeâs passed out body. He rose to his feet with my other two girls rushing towards me. âMommy!â
Dropping down on my knees I wrapped my arms around each of them, burying my face in their hair I sighed in relief. âRaelyn. Jacob, what have you done? What about Kai?â Uncle Joshua asked, stepping towards us.
âWe created another prison for a short time. Because against my better judgment we need your help.â Raising myself up to my feet I dusted my hands off my pants.
Someone came through the tree line where I spun around on my feet recognizing another familiar face. âLiv. Thank goodness you're here.â
âHey Rae Rae. J, youâre here too.â She embraced us in hugs even though she hated them honestly. âNot to be rude. But how and why are we here?â
Suddenly we all turned our heads seeing Luke gaps awake shifting his gaze around frantically. âWhat the hell. Did Kai all trap us in our own prison world after I merged with him.â
âUnfortunately no. Yet Rae has some explaining to do.â Jo said, picking up the ends of her wedding dress until she was standing in front of our group.
Joshua moved around his son and got in my face grabbing my shoulders harshly in his grip. âYou better start explaining what you did or-â
âOr youâll what! Youâre dead, uncle. And you are only here with your kids because of me and my brother. So shut the hell up about trying to threaten me!â I raised my voice, getting in his face pushing my hands against his chest.
He shoved me backwards where I growled, showing him my fangs. âDonât raise your tone at me. Youâre keeping us prisoners. You should have stabbed Kai in the heart and then stopped him from drinking your blood!â
"But you didn't do much to help her either dad!" Liv spat at her father.
He whipped his head around glaring at his youngest daughter. "I did try, Olivia. I tried to unlink you but he stabbed Raelyn before I could. But that's beside the point. You shouldn't have let him die as a heretic!"
âHeâs still dead, Joshua. He didn't come back! Now if youâll stop yelling at me Iâll tell you this. The reason we are here is because there is an extremely powerful creature that is called the Hollow. That is trying to kill my niece Andrea over there.â Pointing my index finger at my twin holding his daughter in his arms.
Luke came over to us grasping Lizâs hand in his own relief that he can actually see her one final time. âSo you brought us all here for what exactly?â
âRae, I got this. Hold Auntie Raeâs hand for me.â Jacob handed Andreas over to me where I bounced her on my hip. My brother raised his hands trying to find the right words. âLook, the simplest way I say this is that I need your help. This creature is coming to kill my daughter and I donât want her to die. So we need you to put your siphon magic into Raeâs daughters so that they can finish off the woman.â
Jo crossed her arms over her chest tilting her head. âSo you think that our magical abilities will transfer into the girls. And then you just make the jump out of here.â
âPretty much. Thatâs the theory.â I shrugged my shoulders looking around at my family.
Liv shrugged her shoulders where Luke and her walked up to me grabbing my hands in theirs. "Well we're already dead so what more harm could it cause us. I'm in."
"Me too." Luke sent me a head nod.
Jo placed a hand on Jacob's shoulder. "I'm always in."
Turning my head towards our uncle he glared at me. "You said you were sorry for what you did to me and Jacob. This is your chance to fix the past. I can't bring you back from the dead but you can help us one final time."
He put his back to me, shoving his hands in his pockets. Alina, Hope and Missy stared at me silently for a few minutes. "I failed at dealing with Kai. How can you be sure that my magic would help you?"
"Because you were the current leader before Kai forced the Merge. I gave you the power back." I pointed it out to him. Until I finally knew something that would convince him. "If it would save my mother, Eliza. Your sister, would you feel the same way?"
Uncle Joshua slowly turned back towards me sniffing through some tears. "IâŚwould do anything to..protect her."
"Wait a second, how are you guys supposed to get back? You don't have an Ascendant here." Luke made a face tilting his head.
Josette snapped his fingers thinking ahead. "Hold up. We're literally outside our childhood home. It has to be inside the house somewhere."
Liv moved forward. "Then let's go find it."
"Wait." Joshua waved his hand creating the Ascendant in his hands. "There's no need. Now we have a few hours before the sun should set here and if you did it right there should be a celestial event."
Our family all waited inside the house since there wasn't much we could do. Uncle Joshua was looking for the Merge knife currently leaving us be. The girls were talking with Liv and Luke until I covered my mouth feeling sick to my stomach. Vamping into the bathroom I puked in the toilet with my hair in my face until Jo rushed behind holding my hair up. "I've got ya Rae."
"Urgh! That was odd." Wiping my mouth with a towel I gagged sitting with my back against the countertop.
Jo pushed my hair out of my eyes, chuckling at me. "Ah no it's not. Considering you are the only vampire on the planet who can have children. Plus I was a doctor, remember."
"What JoâŚwell Nik and I have been rather active since I brought him back a few months ago." I bit my tongue blushing at even bringing this up with her.
She grinned helping me get to my feet once we cleaned up the mess I had made in the bathroom. "At least you'll have something exciting to share when you get back."
"Yeah. I just wish you could be there." I sniffed through tears wrapping my arms around her in a gentle hug.
She slowly wrapped her arms around me. Snuggling into her embrace she squeezed me tightly breaking the embrace. "I'll always be with you, Rae."
Later the night sky was finally shining with stars. Everyone headed outside where uncle Joshua stopped with the rest of us around him. "So first the girls need to stand in a circle and we can transfer our magic into them."
Alina, Hope and Missy did as they were told with the three Parker's standing in a circle around them. "Magia tollux de terrasâŚMagia tollux de terras." They began channeling each other.
"Magia tollux de terrasâŚMagia tollux de terras..ah!" My daughters winced holding their chests once a bright energy where I saw their eyes glowing golden.
Liv flicked her wrists. "That was easier than I thought it was."
Luke smiled towards Josette who intertwined mine and Jacob's hands in hers. "I love you both. But it's time for you to go."
"I love you too, Jo." I sniffed some happy tears going to miss her.
Jacob smiled seeing that Joshua had already drawn a circle of salt ready and waiting for us. "I love you too, Jo Jo."
My daughters and Andrea stepped inside the circle taking the object from their great uncle. "So you should just be able to do the same spell that got you here. And Raelyn you were right. This does feel right to help you."
"Thank you, Uncle Joshua." I sent him a smile hearing the girls and my brother already chanting the spell.
Closing my eyes I sighed, drawing the magic from the Ascendent once again.
There was a flash of light before I shot my eyes opened and sat upright seeing that we were back in New Orleans cemetery. Everyone was starting to wake up. "Raelyn!" Whipping my head around I heard Klausâs voice before he vamped me up into his embrace, wrapping his arms around my waist tightly. He buried his face in the crook of my neck.
"Nik, ohhhhâŚ" Flinging my arms around his neck I started crying into his chest. Breathing in his scent I clutched his black leather jacket until I realized something. "Wait, wait, wait. Nik I have to tell you something."
He broke the hug but still hugged me against his chest. "What is it, Rae?"
"Josette told me something while we were over there." I smiled, draping my arms over his shoulders, grinning like a child on Christmas. Seeing him mirror the same expression. "We'reâŚwe're gonna have another baby."
