And here is my second animation in Procreate Dreams! This time it’s a little Moomin scene.
This started off simply as a test to see if Dreams could do multi-plane camera effects, but it quickly got out of hand and took me WAY longer than I thought it would.
The problem was that in order to have the closeup shot look decent, i had to have an extremely large canvas and had to paint the background with much more detail than I normally would. In addition, it still needed to be able to fit the much smaller resolution insert of the window opening. I’ve never had to paint a scene in 4K resolution before and that presented a lot of challenges for my poor outdated iPad. Getting the right amount of detail and aligning the two layers was much more trouble than I anticipated and resulted in a lot of trial and error.
Getting each layer of the scene to move at the correct speed to make the parallax effect work also took a lot of work. And of course animating Moomin opening the window and Snufkin playing the harmonica added to the time needed to complete the scene. Honestly I didn’t think this simple scene would take me close to a month to complete.
For those curious, using the groups feature in Procreate Dreams was a lifesaver. Once I animated Moomin opening the window I was able to just group it together with the house layer and then scale both at the same time. The same went for Snufkin on the bridge. Being able to link those layers together into one layer made adjusting the parallax scrolling much easier to deal with. I really love how much groups help tidy up your timeline.
The song Snufkin is playing is a 90’s Moomin harmonica cover by Bat-Hen Zarfati.

Every episode of moomin (90s) is like
Snorkmaiden: "Oh Moomin I love you so much"
Moomin: "Yeah okay.... I miss Snufkin :("
Little My and Sniff: "this is boring let's do something fun"
Snufkin: *harmonica noises*

Got to the final episode of the original 90s Moomin series this afternoon and ugly cried harder than I have in ages.
⚠️ 90s Moomin series spoilers ahead for those who haven't seen it ⚠️
So, Moomin, right before going into his usual winter hibernation, hurriedly runs out of Moomin House as soon as it starts snowing in the early morning hours to the footbridge where Snufkin was playing his harmonica to give him a final goodbye and adds that he wishes he could've joined him on his adventure this time around, to which Snufkin reminds Moomin that his spring adventures are just something he must do on his own and Moomin respects this. Moomin then asks "I'll see you next spring, right?" to which Snufkin replies "of course!"
Shortly afterwards, Snufkin gives Moomin his harmonica and confirms that yes, this is his most prized posseszion, but he wanted Moomin to have it. Snufkin then says he really has to get going as the snow starts coming down, and as he walks off the Moomin footbridge for the final time Moomin enthusiastically says "see you next spring!" to which Snufkin doesnt turn around, says nothing, and keeps walking. He's seen walking past The Hemulin's home as he's alseep, as well as Little My sleeping at Mymble's home before walking into the dense, snowy winter fog until he's no longer visible.
----
My. Whole. Heart. 😭❤️‍🩹
I gotta read the comics and books now omg.

hey pook!!! how've you been?
this is a little self-indulgent, but i was wondering what musical talents you think the boys would have, if any at all; because i can play a bunch of instruments at quite a low level, but i'm primarily a bassist (electric) and a vocalist!! i also know barry sloane has a band and that comes up in my mind at least once a day
kyle gives me piano vibes, for some reason. he's good with his hands!! he's got piano hands. i also think it'd be funny for simon to play something totally obscure like a harmonica. john i can see vividly as a guitarist, bass and electric, just because barry sloane suits it so much. johnny i think would love a bit of bass, or maybe the drums. bass is the best instrument (i'm biased because i play it)!!! i think at least one of them can sing, i just don't know who i'd pick (but definitely johnny in the shower, i know he's got a good pair of lungs on him)
anyways, lots of love!!! hope you're doing alright
-🪐
Hi love!!! this is like super late but I haven't been sleeping well so the energy levels are like nonexistent so focus and brainpower are at an all time low.
Johnny is definitely the kind of person that can kind of sing, he's not like good at it necessarily but he can carry a tune when he tries. Problem is, he doesn't try and sings loudly and constantly just randomly. Claims it helps him focus. Definitely a drums guy. Again, loud and takes a ton of energy.
Kyle I also think can sing, but he just kind of casually does it and sounds good, but tell him that and he'll brush you off lol. Only sings in like the car and occasionally when he's doing things if he's got a song stuck in his head. He probably took piano lessons as a kid and has that muscle memory for a few songs, but he's forgotten a lot of it.
John definitely gives guitar vibes. Can pick up a guitar and strum a little tune. Probably played a lot when he was younger. He grew up in the 90s so he probably listened to a lot of rock and grunge music, and I could see him having a rebellious stage in his early teens.
Simon plays the triangle. Definitely the guy that you rope into joining the band just because 😂 He has the look but no musical talent whatsoever lol. More of a music listener than anything.

I'm on a four hour car drive, singing at the top of my lungs (terribly, I'm so congested right now, not gonna stop me though lol), and having quarry brainrot. Who among the counselors do you think can sing well and who do you think can play an instrument?
I looove this question and I have to admit I haven’t thought about it that much so this is gonna be kind of off the cuff, instinctive stuff and I’m sure I’ll refine my opinions if others chime in (please!).
It’s kind of weird we never get any campfire singalong action in the game when there’s a guitar in Chris’s bedroom and he mentions Kumbaya, but maybe they’re tired of that from camp by the time the plot line picks up.
Tumblr media
Miles obviously is a musician and Dylan’s the music guy so I’d imagine he’s musically inclined in some way. I’ve seen headcanons that he plays guitar and I could see that but I lean more toward thinking he would have taken piano lessons when he was younger and moved on to keyboard and adding on techie stuff like the Mellotron and Moog synth. I think he loves dials and buttons and weird sounds and he can sing but he’d rather fuck around in the noise. Any instrument he plays is gonna get a bit sad if he loses his hand but maybe he’d get more into sampling and remixing and looping computer generated beats as a result.
I think it would be funny if Jacob had a surprisingly angelic singing voice that was completely uncoached and no one ever expected out of him, sort of like Finn from Glee (RIP) but less auto-tuned. I think he’d be an acoustic guitar guy for sure just for the romance of it. Anyway, here’s “Wonderwall.”
Tumblr media
Actual footage of Jacob serenading Emma, feat Abi.
Kaitlyn does not strike me as particularly musical though I headcanon that she and Jacob slay karaoke together. She just kind of shouts into the mic like a 90s riot grrl and sings Alanis or Joan Jett and kills.
Abi is so high school marching band nerd coded to me and I feel like she’s a total flute/piccolo girlie or else clarinet/oboe. Or maybe she plays violin in the school orchestra. Something sweet. She’s good but too nervous to perform or audition in front of people very much so it’s just a hobby she shares with people she trusts.
Emma I think would have a perfectly nice mid range singing voice that she’d wish was better. She probably started her influencer career recording Taylor Swift covers for YouTube but she’s a much better actress and dancer than she is a singer. Not quite triple threat material but she believes in herself so she’s trying.
Ryan has such a unique voice that I can’t decide if he definitely can sing or if he’s practically tone deaf. I kind of lean toward the latter. I imagine he hates his singing voice and rarely sings even for fun but if Dylan catches him singing or humming he’s like smitten times one million about it. I could see Ryan playing drums though, I’d imagine he has a good sense of rhythm.
Max, on the other hand, cannot carry a tune but sings ALL THE TIME anyway. And Laura cringes but finds it endearing all the same. He probably plays the ukulele. He just seems like the type.
Laura was a choir kid for sure and probably got solos in school plays and Max was accompanying her on ukulele and playing unnamed roles or else he was painting backdrops or something. We know Siobahn can sing and I feel like that would carry through with Laura for sure. I imagine them doing elaborate musical routines together on car rides even with their vastly different musical abilities.
Nick reminds me of a bassist I know who is maybe the weirdest human being alive. So that’s where I see him. He can sing a little but it’s definitely a backing vocals voice. I feel like he’d be in a stoner jam band just fucking around, playing the same song for an hour while both the band and audience are too high to know the difference.
Chris Hackett obviously plays guitar and Travis accompanies him on harmonica. Bobby plays blowing air over the lip of a jug and also cowbell.
I LOVE THIS ASK EVERYONE TELL ME THOUGHTS!

Ardin’s Lore
Born in the majestic city of Zolin’Tarah. Ardin’s family worked in the mines. They managed to profit off it. Digging out rare and expensive gems and crystals. Selling it to the people who want to buy it. Ardin’s father worked as a miner too to honour his father legacy as the greatest miner ever.
When, Ardin was born, His family's social and financial status was great, it changed for the better once Ardin was born.
His father; Archie was the happiest father ever as his wife, Miranda. They loved Ardin and took care of him. They saw him as their world, They took care of him, They taught him and raised him well.
But, Good things never last, The majestic and Great city of Zolin’Tara was attacked by the Giants — Known for their cruelty and unmercifulness. They breached open the heavy and magnificent walls of the city. Breaking it as if it were nothing.
Then, They killed the people and stocked their bodies for food. The once majestic city bathed in blood and the corpses of its people, Little people managed to escape and among them is Ardin.
His parents, Shielded him and sacrificed themselves so their precious son could escape and live.
After Ardin and a few people who escaped. They sought refuge in the nearest city. Its name is Mika’Asla, There, He vowed he would kill all the Giants, In his heart; There is such unweightable hatred for the Giants.
He met the infamous Giants Slayer, Maghda Saliem, He was inspired by Maghda to kill the giants and wipe them from the face of Virginia.
Once, He was collecting herbs for dinner, Some giants found Ardin and they charged at him, intending to kill him.
Ardin ran away. He managed to run as fast as possible but the Giants were relentless, They intended to kill him. He passed the safest rope bridge, The people named it ‘The Safest Route’
He looked over his shoulder; The giants were still behind him. Desperately, He flicked his finger. One of the ropes that holds onto the wooden blank. Loosened itself, Making the Giants fall and meet their demise.
People saw this. They were astonished and shocked. The bridge never fell and it was a good thing it fell because if it weren’t the Giants would enter the city and kill the people. Then, The people knew that Ardin manipulate luck and fortune.
They named him ‘II Dio Di Fortuna’ which means the entity of luck in Virginian language. In another incident, The Giants also tried to attack Ardin and nearly entering the city, Ardin used his luck magic to move the icy texture of a big ancient mountain, causing an avalanche and drowning in the Giants under the frigid and merciless ice; killing them in the process.
The people of Mika’Asla, Started to see him as a god and they started to worship him and venerate him. Initially, He refused to be seen and treated as a divine being. He was humble and kind. He helped people by doing many things, Mainly, Healing the people, and Finding their lost items and possessions. Saving them from disasters, using his magic to make the lands fruitful and rich, so that they can cultivate it, He is protecting the city from Giants and other threats. And many, many, incidents that the people started to see him as a god.
Years later, He killed many many Giants and other deadly creatures to protect people and his beloved city, Pride, Arrogance and Vanity started to creep into his heart, slowly polluting his mind and affecting his kindness.
He started to become arrogant, prideful. Seeing himself above all people and creatures. Despite all this; The people still love him and worship him.
Finally, He was humbled by Aliyaa, She managed to beat him. She didn’t rely on her magic and gifts unlike him, She relied on herself and her skills.
He apologised for being an arrogant and prideful person, He saw the error of his ways.
He vowed to do better and change. To find redemption; he decided to let go of the past by apologising to people, Declaring that he is not a god or a divine being. He is but a man who was bestowed upon such powers.
The people understood Ardin, They accepted his apology and forgave him. They even thanked him for having the courage to apologise.
Then, Ardin left Mika’Asla city, He decided to join Aliyaa and the others, so that he could find the redemption he seeks.
In Earth-World or simply Earth, He works a physics Teacher in a school. The same one Eevie works as a an English Teacher.
This is Ardin lore! Hope ya like it! 🖤🖤🌹❤️😊.

Happy Birthday Ian Anderson, born 10th August 1947 in Dunfermline. After attending primary school in Edinburgh, his family relocated to Blackpool in 1959. Following a traditional Grammar school education, he moved on to Art college to study fine art before deciding on an attempt at a musical career. He was influenced by his father’s big band and jazz records and the emergence of rock music, but was disenchanted with the “show biz” style of early American rock and roll stars like Elvis Presley. In 1963 with some school friends he formed his first band The Blades, a soul and blues outfit. In 1965 they regrouped into The John Evan Band with major lineup changes. They disband two years later when Anderson moved to Luton. In his new surroundings, Ian meets the drummer Clive Bunker and the guitarist Mick Abrahams and with Glenn Cornick, a bassist - of The John Evan Band-, Anderson creates the seed of the group that would become the legendary Jethro Tull. Still enjoying a lengthy if intermittent ongoing career, Jethro Tull has released 30 studio and live albums, selling more than 60 million copies since the band first performed at London’s famous Marquee club. After undertaking more than 3000 concerts in forty-something countries throughout four decades, Tull has played typically 100 concerts each year to longstanding, as well as new fans worldwide. Widely recognized as the man who introduced the flute to rock music, Ian Anderson remains the crowned exponent of the popular and rock genres of flute playing. So far, no pretender to the throne has stepped forward. Ian also plays ethnic flutes and whistles together with acoustic guitar and the mandolin bouzouki, balalaika, saxophone, harmonica, and a variety of whistles. I briefly met Ian on Skye in 1987 on my way back from Benbecula where he had an estate and ran a Fish farm, well 11 fish farms as my research has unearthed, he also employed over 400 people before selling it in the 90’s. Anderson recalled in an interview how he started as a flautist… “ once owned a 1960s Fender Stratocaster, which had previously belonged to Lemmy Kilminster before he found fame with Motorhead. But when it dawned on me I was never going to catch up with the growing band of hotshot British guitarists at that time – Jimmy Page, Jeff Beck and Eric Clapton – I traded it in for a Selma Goldfield student flute worth £30. I knew Jimmy Page and Eric Clapton didn’t play the flute, so I thought I would be in with a chance. A lot of people told me it was a ridiculous trade because the Strat was worth at least £150. But in fact it was a great buy because learning to play it was the start of Jethro Tull.” Anderson lives on a farm in the southwest of England where he has a recording studio and office. He has been married for 37 years to Shona who is also an active director of their music and other companies. They have two children. In 2006 and 2010, he was awarded Doctorates in Literature from Heriot Watt University in Edinburgh and the Abertay University of Dundee. He received the Ivor Award for International Achievement in Music. Ian admits he owns no fast car, never yet having taken a driving test, and has a wardrobe of singularly uninspiring and drab leisurewear varying from light grey to black in colour. He still keeps a couple of off-road competition motorcycles, and a saxophone which he promises never to play again.
Our birthday boy likes to play more intinate venues rather than grand halls, I noticed in the past he has played in religious buildings like cathedrals, he said in an interview ‘Playing in a cathedral gives you a sense of history, responsibility, and humility’ He seems a man after my own heart, while I am not a religious man I do get this same feeling when visiting these sites.. It's not about profits for Jethro Tull, again I have posted that he doesn't charge over the top prices for his tickets, and when he plays in historical places he gives back….The profits from the sales of tickets for my Christmas concert in Bristol Cathedral will go to the upkeep of these sacred buildings, and, perhaps, also in support of the musical liturgy of the church.
Ian admits that he is responsible for an enormous carbon footprint over the years —" I’m a climate sinner — but I’ve planted over 50,000 mixed deciduous trees on our farm. Its heavy clay isn’t not capable of producing arable crops. At best, it grows grass for grazing, but some margins aren’t suitable; so we’ve extended our ancient woodlands with many oak trees. They are an emblem of the Anderson-family clan, whose legend is “Stand sure”.
Jethro Tull are playing Bristol Cathedral on December 11th, tickets are £25-45 snd Salisbury Cathedral next day. These dates are sandwiched between a European tour.
The video features the song, Dun Ringill, from the group's 1979 album Stormwatch, it is an ode to the Iron Age-era fort of the same name. The fort, located on the coast of the Isle of Skye in Scotland, was occupied by the Clan Mackinnon for centuries.[1] The ruins of Castle Ringill, located near Loch Slapin, were located on Anderson's Scottish property, thus inspiring him to write the song. Anderson explained: " Dun Ringill" [is] about the ruins of an old hillside in the Isle of Skye, off the west coast of Scotland, where Nordic invaders would have landed to pillage and plunder and the local folk would have hidden the women and children and the sheep under fortifications.
It's a cool video, pity it was filmed at Dover rather than on Skye though!

I am bored, so let me make a list about my favorite random things about Quack Pack (or small things that i notice and i found interesting that i remember at the moment):
The triplets see Donald not only as an uncle, but as a full literal father for them. This is explicit in the 3rd episode, where they go to a medieval kingdom and in their analogy, if Donald (their uncle) is a king, that would make them princes! But well, you know that the lineage of the royal crown is passed from father to son, so as much as we know as viewers that Donald is a father figure to them, it's great to see this being reinforced by the triplets theirselves :) Another occasion, is that they don't seem bothered when Donald introduces himself for the others as their father (made very clear in episode 31)
Huey has PTSD and Black Cat phobia (and cat allergy as well)
The boys took a lot more habits from Daisy than from Donald, like the facial expressions, the skincare routine and filing the nails (those last two is shown by Huey), and this proves that Daisy is very present in their lives :)
As mentioned by Daisy, they can't have a normal travel without someone ending on the jail
Louie is coded neurodivergent!
I really like how Dewey's Middle Kid Syndrome is written in QP. Yeah, i know it's something showed in all the duckverse versions of Dewey, but i love how QP introduces this. Dewey loves his brothers, but sometimes he feels suffocated and his own space is being invaded, but his brothers don't do that on purpose and he knows it, so while he fights the urge to open up to them (something he can't do well), he also doesn't want to make them upset. He thought that his desire to want his own space is to want to be alone, but then he realizes that he doesn't like being alone, but that he just need a moment alone sometimes. And so, Dewey's lack of communication about this issue ends up making his brothers mistake that he's stressed, and they try to cheer him up and show support (in a hyperprotective way) that ends up leaving him more suffocated. And then when Dewey finally speaks out and walks away, it makes Huey and Louie realize that they never had a personal space, because their personality during their childhood was based on the fact that they were triplets, that they complemented each other, that they had to share things, and that meant they didn't have their own personal space. Huey and Louie get into an argument about each other's bad attitudes that might have upset Dewey, but then they realize that some of the other's habits actually really bother each other. I love how they end up resolving this issue, and how their relationship improves from there on through the episodes.
Dewey has sweet tooth!
Many QP episodes makes a lot of references to others disney tv shows and rock music hits in 90's (Dewey, Louie and Huey are into rock!)
Louie is an environmental activist and opposes trafficking and wild animals
Louie is a multi-instrumentalist! He is shown to know how to play drums, harmonica and violin.
Dewey has a strong artistic connection. He writes texts, poems and paintings!
Dewey is also the "teatral kid"
Dewey is shown to be interested in physics, aliens and halloween.
Apparently, one of Dewey's hobbies is building and inventing things! This is shown in some episodes.
Although the triplets don't work directly for Kent Powers, they often help Daisy and Donald with work, like doing the recordings and giving them script ideas (and it's funny, because Kent himself forgets about it and thinks they are his employees)
This is shown MANY times during the show. The triplets have their own code language. They use a specific word to represent an idea that must be executed like "haircut", "special treatment" (and others that i can't remember right now)
Huey is the only one of the triplets who knows how to drive (implying they are around 16 years old)
Huey have trouble at sleeping, and have a tendency to have nightmares
If you watched Quack Pack, you may have noticed that Louie started to guard his thoughts more after being constantly scolded by Huey, and became more audacious and rebellious episodes later
Louie has trouble understanding sarcasm and identifying danger. It's also notable that he doesn't understand some common social situations.
Huey is quite superstitious, especially because he defends the idea that nothing happens by chance and that everything has a purpose, and that the universe always seems to conspire in his favor
Dewey's full name in Quack Pack is Deuteronomy
As much as Huey, Dewey and Louie are the triplets nicknames, they nickname their own nicknames LOL some exemples are Hueson, Dewman/Dewis and Lou-Lou
In Episode 11, Dewey admits he likes the idea of being a woman.
I think it's cute that despite Huey's gruff personality, he is constantly worried about the well-being of his family, like disapproving of the amount of candy Dewey eats and worring if he doesn't feeling well, or when Louie gets into trouble (Huey always gets desperate because he knows Louie's tendency to be in danger) and when Donald ends up being the victim of scams (which makes him furious with whoever is messing with his uncle)
As stated by Louie, Huey has a "trying to take over the world mood"
I love Daisy's dynamic with the triplets. She is always encouraging them, protecting them, worrying and listening to them. This makes her a true mother figure for them, and I am happy to see that they reciprocate that affection and respect for her.
Louie and Dewey communicate by looking constantly
Huey is extremely sarcastic
Dewey is into photography!

WiP Wednesday the Aliens in Missouri HS AU
aka the no villain dads are evil, they are just annoying and petty AU.
There aren't any official "Peter at 16 "pics so this is the thumbnail.
Tumblr media
For a million years, Ego the Living Planet had wandered the universe searching for meaning.  He had set foot on hundreds of worlds and interacted with beings of all sorts.  He had tried delicacies while indulging himself in vices that would destroy lesser creatures.  And yet, he had found nothing that offended his sensibilities as much as Mrs. The Destroyer’s lemon bars.
Grainy and gelatinous, they were an affront to baked goods everywhere and to the Band Booster Sale they were meant to serve.  His only consolation was that they were far away from his own superior eclairs.
None of this culinary drama concerned his son Peter Quill, who was too busy helping one of his fellow band members set up a table.
“That hard driving guitar and the harmonica add these surprising elements that brings ‘Mary Jane’s Last Dance into the 90s but it still feels like it’s in conversation with Petty’s old stuff.”  Peter stepped back to admire his handiwork.  It was definitely a table with baked stuff on it.  “Does that make sense?”
His friend, Rich Rider, looked at Peter like he’d grown another head.  “Why can you never sound like this in English class?”
“I just,” Peter deflated a little, “I just like music, man.”
At sixteen years old, puberty had hit Peter hard, making him tall and gawky but at least his skin remained mostly clear.  His dad wouldn’t let him grow his hair out yet so he wasn’t exactly “on trend” but at least he could still engage with the oversized tees and flannel his peers were wearing.
Rich glanced over Peter’s work.  “That looks good.”  He turned back to his own task, finishing tying the last ribbon bows on wrapped parcels of chocolate chip cookies.
Peter propped his head on Rich’s shoulder to see what he was doing.  “Oooh, nice.”
“I don’t know Pete,” Rich pouted, “I mean, mom’s made these chocolate chip cookies but I don’t know if they’re going to sell.”
The notion that anyone would be unimpressed with Mrs. Rider’s cookies baffled Peter.  “Are you kidding?” he said, flailing around.  “Everyone loves your mom’s cookies.”
“Yeah.”  That would normally be the case; unfortunately, Rich had doubts.  “But they’re up against eclairs made by a literal god.”
“God little g,” Peter said as an afterthought.  Then, he glanced back and forth to make sure no one was paying attention before whispering: “And he made them using his own matter.  That’s kind of like cheating.”
The look of horror that crossed Rich’s face was one for the ages.  “How does that even work?”
“I don’t know.”  A shrug was the best answer Rich was getting out of Peter.  “I got a ‘C’ in Science.”
“Wait,” Rich asked.  “Which science?”
“I don’t know!”  Peter flailed again.  “I got a ‘C.’”
