Hello! I'm fairly new to the fandom so it is 100% possible that they might be out of character AND that there's some things that doesn't make too much sense in terms of canon media, since I haven't done a deep dive yet (especially not on the Christmas specials)

He was never the one to celebrate Christmas, he never had the need nor the people to do it anyway. But after running-- or getting crashed-- into Santa Claus, Snufkin embarks on an odd journey in which he has to replace the old man himself. On his adventure, the lad learns about the struggles of some families, all whilst dealing with his own fair share. Perhaps by the time the sun comes up, Snufkin's mind opens to the idea of celebrating the holiday next year, regardless of if he's alone or not.

i don't dislike moomintroll and snorkmaiden's relationship because it gets in the way of snufmin. i dislike it because every conversation they have feels stilted and awkward. i dislike it because moomintroll so obviously cares more for snufkin than for snorkmaiden which leads to neither of them getting what they need out of their relationship. i dislike it because it feels like they're just together because they're the main boy and girl in the story. i dislike it because they could have just been good friends but they were forced into a relationship with no chemistry instead
