WIP Wednesday - Closed (9/20/23) | Math Nerd AU

The rest of the walk back to the dorms was largely filled with Matt discussing all of the various virtues of one Dan Wilds and how she was the best Captain, girlfriend, woman, and person on the planet. He was waxing poetic about their first date when Neil laughed.

"I'm surprised you stopped at asking about marriage and didn't ask how many kids she wanted to have with you instead." Neil jokes and Matt pauses and flushes. He didn't remember mentioning his very embarrassing proposal to Dan on their first date together.

"I mentioned that already?" He asks.

Neil blinks at him and there's a strange flash of emotions on Neil's face that Matt can't quite catch before he laughs, "Right at the start of our walk." he says with a smile that doesn't reach his eyes. "Oh, look we're back." he points at the Tower as if it weren't blatantly obvious what he meant.

“Not My Cup of Tea” will be touring around the UK, starting this time next year! (September 2025-May 2026) His first tour since 2019!

BLURB: "Josh Widdicombe is back on tour, not again! By now he has almost certainly mastered the art of stand-up, either that or he has wasted the last 15 years of his life. Come along and decide for yourself. Expect it to be shorter and with lower production values than Taylor Swift’s Eras Tour, but funnier and with more references to tea."

No, but I have recently had some heavy discussions on a Wenovan fic I did... The Dark & Depraved.

Yes and... well I did the Weyler Week Kink Bingo, So it is safe to say, all flavours?

No. I can't really mold the two worlds together I am afraid.

So Andrew found himself in Neil's company increasingly and increasingly realized that he found it quite enjoyable. Neil seems to slip in so easily into all of his daily habits and Andrew find that the few times his shadow is somewhere else due to class or other obligations he feels bereft.

Cold metal against his palms.

He shakes his head, "So," Nicky asks voice giving away that what he's about to ask will irritate Andrew, "what's it like to have your crush follow you around the last week and a half like a guard dog?" he asks.

Andrew hates always being right.

The boy was Prince Nathaniel, heir to the throne.

King Nathan was a ruthless man, a warlord some might say. He led his armies into battles without hesitation. The Kingdom of Baltimore was one whispered on the tongues of others. It didn’t matter that Baltimore didn’t have a large standing army, it was the strength that each individual themselves possessed. 20 of King Nathan’s men could outlast 200 ordinary soldiers. Some said 2,000 but there hadn’t been an enemy willing to risk those numbers.

WIP Wednesday 20/9/23

But Tim shoved those thoughts away, ignoring the electric pain zapping up his spine as he finally stood, tucking his laptop under his arm and telling Bruce, "I should head home… I'll see you at patrol." Turning on his heel, he headed for the door, only to stop when Bruce called after him, "You could stay for dinner?" That… That was honestly the last thing Tim had expected. He… He hadn't been asked to stay for dinner for a long time (not since the first big dinner they'd had after Bruce had been saved from being lost in time, well over two years ago, closer to three…). Which, you know, made sense. Dinner was for family and, despite everything that Tim had given for the others, he wasn't part of the family. He never had been… So really, he had no reason to expect a sudden invitation. It… Tim wanted to take Bruce up on it. He wanted to, just this once, feel like part of the family he had given everything he had for. But… He knew that it was probably nothing. Bruce probably just wanted to see what he'd say, if he had finally realised his place amongst the family (outside of it. His place had forever been on the outside, always looking in)… Besides, Tim just… He couldn't. Not at that moment. He was already so drained, and he couldn't hide away from the pain anymore. He just wanted to sleep… So, feigning his usual smile, Tim looked over his shoulder at Bruce, ignoring the twang of pain he felt at the movement as he replied, "Sorry, I've got plans."

WIP Wednesday - 9/20/23

A snippet from a long-time WIP I'd like to return to soon, featuring Boba Fett:

He glanced up at Lee again, noting the man had turned slightly to speak to one of the guards. There it was. His chance to get away. He could hide in some corner, speak to his team, and then return to the balcony with a story for Lee about getting lost on the way to the refresher. Boba turned, ready to slip out of sight, and then stopped. The girl in the pit was running toward the Houk, who had finally given up on moving the spear and had taken a few steps back. But it wasn't her movements that had caught Boba eye. It was her tattoo, taking up the entire span of her left thigh. She grabbed the upright spear and hurled herself around it, the tattoo coming to eye level as her leg swung through the air. The mythosaur. The symbol of Mandalore.
