Jirard thought he had gotten far enough away from the majority of the student populace to let everything of the past week hit him. He didn’t want to worry Shane or the guys, but...Yeah he wasn’t doing well.

Jirard leaned his head against the side of the building. Typically, Jirard ran on a spite drive. He had been so used to someone doubting him, someone telling him that he couldn’t do something that he was somehow not up to a standard..but lately everyone just assumed things. He had proved them that he could do everything he put his mind to so there was no longer that spite that drove him through his goals. He didn’t know what else to do.. If he wasn’t proving someone wrong or trying to make someones day... what was he.“Huh..”Jirard looked up blankly. He was completely in the midst of his existential crisis.

        Finals were tough on any college student, and even more so freshman who didn’t exactly know how tough they’d be. Kuroo still had another hour before he’d be done with his own for that day, so Kenma had that time to kill. Taking up the half of the couch that wasn’t already occupied by someone else, Kenma curled up into a ball and set a phone alarm for an hour from now. She was going to be napping until then. Especially since she knew Kuroo (and probably Bokuto too) would want to go out to eat to celebrate finishing up this semester of classes.

God, he sucked at giving advice. Ichimatsu was NOT a positive person, and rarely did he ever care about other people. The only people he seemed to care about (even if he didn’t show it much) were his own family. 

But he couldn’t just say THAT and let the conversation be over. What if the woman went through with it? That’d be on his conscience for a long time. So, he opened his mouth and tried again.

“I… mean… you probably have a lot more to live for than I do.” Ah, that sounded awful, but hey, it was the truth. “You have friends, right? Family? People who care for you. They… wouldn’t want to see you go. And um, there are things that make you happy? Think about never being able to see them again. I think that’d be horrible. You shouldn’t give up.”

Like I remember when I was really little playing the original Kirby’s Dream Land game, there’s that one, you know, in the final level, where you can can use the moon as a door, and then that carries over in a lot of the newer games too. I remember thinking that was like the coolest thing when I was a kid. I wish there were easter eggs like that in real life, you know? Like every time there was a full moon I could use it as a door and get some sort of life power up.”
