ENOUGH 80S NOSTALGIA

“I just might experiment a little” again oh Blair. She wants to experiment because how can you know what you like before dating a guy. Which is valid but also Blair you may not know what you like but you know what you don’t like. Aka Jason in 1x06!

“Who are they (men) supposed to get their experience (sex) with, Tinkerbell?”/ “You’d know that better then I would Blair.”

-so Blair is known for fooling around with girls? Got it, literally did it before Brittany and Santana from Glee.

Steve is 18! Again another 18 year old trying to date/ get with Blair. Ugh poor Blair leave her alone she’s fourteen!

On the date he tries to kiss her and she again shyly pulls away. He suggests they go to the back of the van. (I know you thought this couldn’t get any creeper.) ” He tells her to close her eyes and gives her a necklace. She says “It…it’s really different.” Mood Blair get out of there asap. He tells her to always wear it.

“Always? Steve I- I couldn’t.” She says because it means so much to him but it’s because she doesn’t want to date him. He doesn’t say it but it seems he wants her to have it for a bigger aka maybe going steady type of reason. He says it’s why he gave it to her and hugs her. She tenses up extremely uncomfortable and says ow multiple times. (I know what is this a date or an episode of dateline.)

He plans on being a wrestling coach next year and still wants to date Blair… I can’t even fathom words she will be in high school still wtf.

Anyway he wants to make long- range plans for them aka a future and Blair isn’t having it. She is so desperate to get out of this she even suggested they kiss. Earlier she told Tootie Natalie was too young for him. He viewed Natalie as a younger sister but now Blair isn’t even into him. Oh Blair!

“Steve, I don’t know what my long-range plans will be.”/ “I’m sorry Jason I’m just not into this.”

She reminds him she has two more years in you know high school so this ain’t working out. He tells her it’s okay his parents dated for six and half years and her face says it all! 🙄

Btw (six and half years huh. Who does she date I mean have a relationship with for six and a half years from high school through college like she suggests… I am looking at you Jo! But for now the idea of dating one guy for that long sickens her or at least isn’t something she wants. Again going back to what Blair actually wants.

He wants her to be his girl she says she is but when he says he wants them to go steady she changes her tune… mood. He says it’s why he gave her the necklace. She says she has plans and is quite busy and doesn’t want anything serious. He isn’t happy about it.

“Why don’t we just think about now.” / “This feels like a polite runaround.” Yeah it’s because it is how much more can she gently turn you down before outright saying it, your right Steve you are slow!

“Steve who- who plans that far.” I mean she’s not wrong she’s 14 but also Blair lesbihonest! You ain’t into this guy loll.

All she wants is a little fun and when she says as much he gets angry and pushes her down to the floor of his van- again scary! She repeatedly tells him to stop and the camera fades to black. Okay but wtf.

This entire episode is about Blair figuring out what she wants/ likes. She thinks about maybe going beyond first base even though she doesn’t want to and she ultimately doesn’t. She thinks about it because she wants to experiment because she doesn’t know what she likes.

Blair comes in and says she is fine. “Are you okay?”/“Sure.” Oh Blair!

Like you want any date to it ends in police custody.. for a speeding ticket. He speeds out of there when he gets the hint.

“When it was all over, Nothing, our talk.” So thankfully nothing happens and Blair can leave. At least Steve listened Jesus!

“Steve wanted to do the right thing but when I didn’t want to, he tried to do the wrong.” It’s not the right thing if he only did it for something in return but he’s good? Good for you Blair and 1979 for pointing this out it was wrong. Jesus at least do that much.

It also goes back to what Blair wants and doesn’t want and she isn’t there yet but she knows she didn’t want to be with Jason or Steve! She will soon learn she wants to be with a sarcastic, tomboy that goes by Jo but we aren’t there yet.
