“You’d never be paralyzed in fear in real life though.” Neil argues, his certainty alarming. What shocks Andrew even more is that Neil has focused down onto the thing that has him waking up each night.

The fear of doing nothing.

Andrew has spent so much of his life after the Spears working on never again being a victim. He distanced himself emotionally and physically from every single person who has ever wanted to be close with him up until last year. He learned how to make himself into a weapon so that he could fight back against anyone who tried to hurt him. He was proactive in solving possible threats. He went to therapy so that he could even fight his own demons.

Drake managing to attack him again despite all of that effort? It had been more devastating than Andrew would ever admit.

The Lord’s goodness is expressed in a multitude of ways. He is our Creator. Our every breath is given to us by God. As our loving Shepherd, He watches over and provides for us. But the greatest expression of His goodness is the cross, where He lovingly bore our sin so we could have a relationship with Him.

Believing in God’s goodness is essential for our faith. This truth fills us with joy in happy times and grounds us with confidence during hard seasons. When we don’t understand what the Lord is doing, we can trust His heart and know that He is good.”
