Finally! Took a few evenings to finish this. My first animation here. This is basically an animation for this moment in the official 7th comic:

Had an idea for a short story based on the 7th comic. Finally got around to writing and posting it! So here it is! Hope you guys enjoy! Happy New Years 🎉

I think something that gets a bit overlooked about the 7th comic is the meaning for the greater picture.

Yes it ends the story in a satisfying way and gives us something we waited for and stopped believing it would come.

BUT it also basically showed that EVERYTHING was pointless.

Stuff being secretly pointless was always a plot point that could be observed but the 7th comic showed that

1. The fight between red and blue was planned

2. The plan was sabotaged so the fight would never end and was about something pointless

3. The Hunt for australium was pointless due to an unlimited amount of it in Soldiers possession

4. The fight the Administrator fought was literally reasonless in the end

5. The fight the Mercenaries fought literally went nowhere

6. The Australium will never be used and can be seen as non-existent/forgotten

7. The whole Saxton hale Side plot got managed behind the scenes

8. They failed upward Everytime, which you could argue means, their losses in themselves where pointless

The only thing not pointless may have been the fight The Administrator caused, since it was for her revenge, then again we (and neither she at the end) know what the revenge was even for.

The thing that imo proves everything was pointless is the fact that only two people know that it was

Pauling and Engi, that is because they talk about what to do next and the way Engi talks to her suggests to me that he knew for a long time but couldn't do anything against it while Pauling whole heartedly believed there to be a reason

Which she found to be non existent and that kinda destroyed her

Some things I noticed in the 7th TF2 Comic

I’m pretty sure this is Scout’s mailbox we’re looking at so it’s safe to say he’s probably been married at least three times if we’re to take his mailbox to heart, and all three times he’s combined the last names. Willis-Mitchell, Willis-Graham and finally Willis-Gibson

At Jeremy’s home, Spy stares longingly at a portrait of Scout’s mother
