you walked in the kitchen to get some hot coco. it was snowy outside and nothing could compare to drinking hot coco on a cold winter night. you were over at your best friends house, helping her put up christmas decorations. it was a small tradition you created with her, another symbol of your close friendship.

as you were stirring the milk and presence walked behind you and grabbed a mug from the cupboard. "you know we have instant coco." heeseung, your friends brother said with a slight smirk on his face.

you rolled your eyes, ignoring the smirk on his face. "i like to make my own." you mumbled quietly. heeseung shrugged, pouring water into the mug. "suit yourself, this one is faster and easier to make."

you sighed. you liked the instant coco but it never really hit the right spot. you wanted to feel like christmas was already here, like winter was right outside your window.

once your milk was hot enough you put in the chunks of chocolate and stirred the milk around until they melted. heeseung was already finished making his but he stood there and watched the contented smile on your face.

he loved how satisfied you look. almost like you had no problems just making hot coco to warm your throat. he gave a secret smile and walked outside the kitchen to help his sister put up more decorations.

you grabbed two mugs and poured the coco into each, putting a couple marshmallows into the drinks. you smiled, happy with how they came out. you grabbed the mugs and took one to your friend, waiting to see if she liked the coco or not. lucky for you, she did.

as the three of you put the decorations up non stop your friend wanted you to pop some popcorn to make a popcorn garland for the christmas tree. you went to the pantry to grab the popcorn but as you turned around you bumped into someones chest.

"oh sorry, didn't see you there." heeseung smiled in a teasing manner. you glared at him and try to go to the kitchen but he blocked you. "why are you breaking tradition?"

you furrow your brows. what was he talking about? you were here decorating with your best friend, how were you breaking tradition?

"how am i breaking tradition?" you asked, annoyed because all you want to do is pop the popcorn (and because your heart is beating so fast)

"well it's tradition if you stand under the mistletoe then you have to kiss." you laughed out loud. what was he talking about. who would put a mistletoe right by the pantry?

"heeseung, there's no mistletoe, what are you talking about?" all he had to do was point up and there it was. the green plant with berries on it. your cheeks heated up, there was no way you were kissing your best friends brother.

"who puts a mistletoe by the pantry?" heeseung gave you an offended look. "it's wherever your heart leads you to put it! are you saying my heart put it in a stupid place?" you tried to hold back your laughter but the look on heeseung's face was priceless.

"just move and let me put the popcorn in the microwave, your sister is waiting for me." you tried to get away from the awkward situation but to no avail. "not until you follow tradition."

you sighed. heeseung was stubborn or at least this time he was. "im not gonna kiss you." all you could think about was popping the popcorn. a kiss with heeseung was not on your christmas list.

"breaking tradition is illegal. now kiss or you're never gonna pop that popcorn." you scoffed. "why do you want to kiss me so bad?"

your question caught heeseung off guard. he thought you'd play along, kiss him and then move on, but he was completely wrong.

"because it's tradition." he whispered, blush fluttering his cheeks. he couldn't even make eye contact with you. you caught him, you were finally gonna know about his secret feelings for you.

"i know for a fact you dont care about tradition this much though. you've skipped out christmas decorating before." you were genuinely curious. he never cared about traditions but now? now he's actually caring about it.

"i just want a kiss! then you can go pop your stupid popcorn." you smiled, he was acting cute. his cheeks were red, lips pouting and his eyes were definitely not on you. "my popcorn isnt stupid."

"it is! you care about that popcorn more than me and im alive!" a smile creeped up your lips again, teasing heeseung a bit more. "popcorn tastes better." the pout on his lips grew.

"how do you know? i taste like hot coco." you giggled and stepped closer to heeseung. "i dont like instant hot coco." heeseung frowned, about to talk back but you caught him off guard, connecting your lips to his in a soft kiss.

your eyes fluttered closed, holding your lips on his for a couple of seconds. you felt heeseung smile against your lips before parting away.

"so what did i taste like?" you put your finger on your chin like you were thinking. "you tasted like christmas. did you put cinnamon in your coco?" you tasted faint cinnamon and a bit of coco.

"yeah a little." you hummed and nodded. "no wonder. can i pop my popcorn now?" heeseung nodded but not without stealing a kiss first. he pecked your lips and rushed away from the pantry. his heart was beating so fast as a smile grew on his lips.

once you came back from the kitchen with your freshly popped popcorn you noticed heeseung smiling ear to ear. he hadn't seen you but he seemed happy, humming christmas songs and other things. you walked to your friend and gave her the popcorn, helping her put the garland together.

"you know, i feel love in the air." she blurting while putting popcorn on the string. you glanced at heeseung, surprised that he was already looking at you. "we should watch a christmas romance movie!" your friend squealed. except your focus was on heeseung. he smiled and winked at you causing your cheeks to heat up.

"hey, y/n. movie or no movie?" your friend asked, still not noticing the way you were staring at her brother. "movie." you friend clapped as she turned the tv on and put on a movie. you tried to keep your gaze on the tv but you felt someone staring at you.

when you looked you saw heeseung staring at you with a smirk. "i'm gonna go pop more popcorn, wanna come with?" heat crept up your cheeks as you nodded, following heeseung to get another peck and to possibly share your feelings with him.

It was a white guy and he told me what I am going through doesn’t bother him whatsoever like he doesn’t care and how it must be hard for me. The angel put down his glass of sherry and replied to Nina, "In a few minutes. He's looking for a place to park the Bentley."

"Where? There's a free spot in front of the bookshop!"

"Too small, according to him."

"Oh, I see, Grumpy's afraid of scratching his old banger."

Maggie replied, "Honestly, that nickname hardly fits him anymore."

"You're right. The way he smiles, I should call him Dopey instead."

Muriel and Maggie giggled as Aziraphale looked at the three of them with a puzzled expression.

He asked, "What do you mean?"

"Don't tell me you haven't noticed. Whenever you're in a room and he walks in, he smiles in a very peculiar way. I'm not talking about that mocking smile he puts on his lips like a well-fitting mask, no, I'm talking about a goofy, completely idiotic smile. Fleeting, yes, but really silly."

Aziraphale was about to reply that Crowley had smiles for him that weren't mocking, but he'd never noticed the one Nina was talking about. Seeing his puzzled expression, Muriel added, "He smiles like that when he thinks you're not looking at him."

Maggie interjected, "Oh look, he's just entered the pub, take a good look, you'll see!"

Aziraphale didn't turn to the door on his left, but watched Crowley's arrival out of the corner of his eye.

First he saw him looking for them, then the look on his face when he saw them, and finally he saw it, the moment Crowley laid eyes on him, the smile Nina was talking about.

He vaguely heard Nina murmur: "I told you so! It's tiring to be right all the time."

Then she added in an even lower voice, “Dopey...”

Only for Aziraphale, there was nothing silly or goofy about that smile. The only word she could think of to describe it was happy. Knowing that it was he, Aziraphale, who had brought that smile to Crowley's lips filled the angel with overflowing joy.

He couldn't help but turn his full attention to Crowley and watch the smile turn into something more teasing. Ready to have some fun. Aziraphale watched in amusement as the demon "bickered" with Nina once he was seated beside him.

He thought about it later that evening as he joined Crowley in the bedroom above the bookshop. He watched the demon before entering and saw that smile again. 

Of course, Aziraphale had always wanted to see the joy on Crowley's face again. The pure joy of the Starmaker. But this was different. Here he was the one making Crowley smile. He'd never really thought about it, but one thing was for sure: he liked the idea. Very much.

A special smile. Just for and because of him.

He slid under the covers, and Crowley opened his arm so that Aziraphale could rest his head on his shoulder.

After a few seconds of silence, the angel asked softly, "May I tell you something? I mean something very sappy."

Crowley took Aziraphale's hand, which was resting on his chest, and planted a kiss on the palm.

"Go on."

"I like the way you smile." 

He felt Crowley's lips curve against his palm.

"The way I smile?" Crowley placed a gentle kiss on Aziraphale's wrist and the angel felt the smile on his skin again.

"The way you smile because of me or for me. You don't know how you make me feel."

Crowley lowered his head to meet Aziraphale's eyes and another smile appeared on his lips, literally a smile of adoration. 

"Tell me."

"Well, seeing you smile is always a delight, obviously. But when I know it's because of me or for me, it takes my breath away." 

Aziraphale shook his head before adding, "Sorry, I don't know how else to put it."

He rested his head on the demon's shoulder and felt Crowley kiss him in the hair before the demon replied softly, “It's the same for me, you know. I've always loved to see you smile, just because of me, because of something I said, something stupid I did, no matter why. Just to know that I was the reason for your smile."

Aziraphale lifted his head to look at Crowley and they both smiled at each other in the same way.

Nina would have said they were smiling like two idiots in love, but that didn't matter to the angel and the demon.

For each of them knew that he was the reason for the other's smile.

“Y-you did what…?” gasped Adrien, looking at her slightly dumbfounded, disbelief written all over his face. “You can't have Ladybug join you in bed, Marinette!” There was some special sort of desperation in his voice, as if Adrien was mostly trying to convince himself, and not her. “Besides, she would never agree to this!”

“Adrien, you don’t have to worry about us so much,” she smiled softly, doing her best to calm him down a little, although she had no intention of trying to soften the blow for him too much. The threesome with Ladybug story she came up with yesterday solved too many problems at once for her to abandon it.

“But you can’t… She can’t…” It seems he wanted to formulate something and couldn't find the right words for it. “How could Felix... with both of you... I don't understand...”

Marinette knew that his confusion was about something else, but she decided to pretend that she understood him differently in order to voice what was beneficial to her. “I mean, it's Ladybug, right? She's as safe as it can be, and she's the heroine of Paris. And I'm sure she won't do anything to hurt either of  us.” She turned to her friend and asked a question, the answer to which she already knew, unfortunately. “Judge for yourself, Adrien, if you were in my place—well, or in Felix’s place, anyways—would you refuse?”

The model stared at her with his mouth open, looking confused, and flustered, and stunned, and defeated. “You’re right…” he finally muttered, staring at the floor. “I… Felix is ​​a lucky man…”

“And I am a lucky woman,” she reminded him quietly, probably looking at him a little harsher than she was supposed to look at her good friend.

Perhaps now she wasn’t looking at her friend at all, but at a man who had never opened his eyes, hadn’t noticed her, or had noticed her in the wrong place, or too late. She looked at the man who didn’t want her once and whom she no longer wanted either. And maybe in this whole conversation, behind all her reasons and benefits from the result, there was still a hint of a small but sharp feminine revenge…

Ladybug jumped into her open window so suddenly, Marinette instantly took a fighting stance, taken by surprise. Fortunately Adrien was no less startled than she was and didn’t notice her trained reaction.

“Oh, hi, Adrien, didn’t know you were here,” the heroine of Paris said to the model, walking through Marinette's studio (with her standing right there!!) as if nothing special had happened. She glanced at the designer and smiled. “I won’t be long,” she promised as she winked at Adrien who watched her in bewilderment, “I just wanted to give a quick kiss to my new girlfriend.”

“And the best pop duo performance goes to…”

Nervousness washes over you. As much as you say you don’t care, winning this would mean the world to you. You tap your fingers on the table anxiously. 

Charles’ places his hands over yours, and looks into your eyes. He gives you a reassuring smile as your fingers stop tapping so much. He holds your hand tightly which somehow makes you feel more confident. 

“y/n l/n and Charles Leclerc!” 

You scream and stand up. Charles stands up, but more calmly. Everyone at your table congratulates you and Charles, giving both of you pats on the back and handshakes. Tears flow out from your eyes as you walk onto stage, with Charles’ hand in yours.

Charles holds the grammy and passes it to you. You wipe your tears off, taking deep breaths before taking the grammy. Both of you stand in front of the mic.

“Holy shit.” You say, looking at the grammy. Charles places his hand over your shoulder, pulling you in.

It gives you a different sense of comfort. He kisses your cheek which makes the place explode into cheers and applause. You blush a little, hiding it with a chuckle. 

Your gaze slowly moves from the grammy, to the crowd then finally into Charles’ eyes. They’re gorgeous. It really was something special for you, for him and for your relationship.

You shift in your seat a little bit, thinking of how to phrase your answer before you pull the mic closer to you.

“Well, other than ‘holy shit my boyfriend’s eyes are gorgeous’, then probably ‘holy shit this is actually happening’.” You respond, smiling as you do so.

Your response earns a slight laugh from the crowd of interviewers. 

“What was the process of writing with Charles Leclerc like?” Another asks.

“He should stick to racing.” You joke, laughing a little, “I’m kidding, don’t tell him I said that.”

You straighten up, “Well originally none of us ever thought we’d be doing this. It was pretty out of nowhere.” You reminisce of a few months ago.

You sit on the couch, notebook and pen in hand, scribbling down random words and phrases which come to your head. You click your pen a few times, leaning back onto the couch and looking up into the ceiling.

“Charles!” You shout, still looking into the ceiling

“Yes?” Charles says, poking his head into the living room.

“Come here.” You demand, but politely.

He obeys you and walks over, sitting next to you. He rests his head on your shoulder.

“Hm.” Charles makes an unintelligible noise. 

“I just need you to sit there.” You say, still clicking your pen.

“Okay.” He says.

You stare at him for a few seconds, then write down a few words before clicking your pen again. 

“Do you want me to play the piano?” He asks softly while you stare intently at your messy handwriting on the notebook.

You look up and your face lights up, “Yes! Yes please.” 

He smiles, hops over the backrest of the couch and sits on the piano bench. You follow him. He moves to one side of the bench, patting the other side. You sit down there and he starts playing.

It’s your turn to rest your head on his shoulder as he plays the piano. It gives you some ideas which you do write down but after a while you sit up.

“You should write with me.” You blurt out.

“Write? I don’t really do that a lot, I’m not very good-” He replies, continuing to play the piano.

“Liar. You’re writing with me.” It’s not a request, it’s a demand.

Charles doesn’t protest, instead he continues playing the piano, nodding at your words.

“And here we are.” You chuckle.

“This song took a lot longer than it would usually take you. Is there a reason?” Another interviewer asks

“I left two verses out for Charles to write, and that was on period, I wasn’t changing that no matter what.” You respond.

“Are you glad you kept with that decision?” A follow up question pops up.

“Hell yea. I love what Charles wrote, no matter how long it took him.”
