Oh God, my fanfic(Icy Serenade) reached 70 hits in two chapters, thank you!! I don't even know how to react, I just know that I owe it to this welcoming fandom. I think I'm going to start writing the next chapter.

Chapters:

Icy Serenade: Astarion x OC

Prologue: Birth and Death

Chapter 1: The Encounter

Chapter 2: Hidden Natures(Come soon) (Summary WIP: The cold night becomes the perfect place to let Astarion's true nature reveal itself. As he wanders through the forest, he spots Philrath. The Half-Dragon tries to hide her secret as much as possible, but it is difficult to hide her emotions. The night becomes warm at least for a moment, and they both rethink their hidden natures.)

Fanfic Summary:

"I don't know. I… I never imagined my scales feeling such a… sweet touch…"

Philrath is a Half-dragon, daughter of a powerful White Dragon, destined to run and hide. One day, fate puts her in front of Astarion, a seductive and mysterious elf, who reveals himself to be a vampire.

The two beings hide secrets and flee from a past and destiny that refuses to leave them in peace. Amid chains, scars, pain and fear, can there be anything good? Maybe it can, but to do that they will need to find themselves in the darkness.

Will they have their freedom…?

I love Tumblr because nothing matters here truly. There are no influencers. Having followers doesn’t mean anything. It’s just a site where people post their sporadic thoughts and rb pretty pictures. Anyone who thinks any of this matters is woefully missing the point

Embarrassing #I know chronically online people exist bc I have seen them in my or somebody else’s inbox but imagine waking up at 70 one day and the #Realization hitting u like a freight time that u wasted all ur time thinking tumblr. TUMBLR. This dying website. Has enough weight for u to #be sending anon hate or reviewing ppl’s blogs like they’re some kind of product. I'd probably have to read the printed version and web version back to back at some point to note all the differences but... ough

#sorry i'm going to be excited about this comic for the next month #nofna #okay having finished this now--#and sorry if this doesn't make sense to anyone who's completely unfamiliar with this comic in advance-#the 'popcorn ending' (printed version) is nice to see but i think the web version hits harder. if that makes sense #so i'm kinda tied on which ending i 'prefer'- i think both are good though #also considering i've read the web version a good 4-5 times and the printed version only once- i probably can't make that judgement yet #easy answer- i do like Nutsedge :] so it's nice to see the ending where nothing bad happens to her #but also- NT suddenly becoming a greenie-esque villain out of nowhere felt a little jarring #as well as SV suddenly turning a corner and becoming a 'good guy' (arguable)- considering the first three books are about #/him being too stubborn to change or accept any outside worldviews . Him suddenly coming to his senses felt out of place #<- probably biased because i like characters being bitter to the end and ultimately destroyed by their own hubris #the web version is probably‚ objectively‚ a bit better #but -#(spoilers- if you're planning to drop ~70 bucks on getting these books)#the conceit of SV actually perfecting his style‚ using it once‚ and then immediately getting tooth-brained- was pretty cool #assuming it's meant to parallel him spending months tormented by trying to perfect it while something's still missing-#and then dying before he can narrate it to the audience‚ so that we never know what he figured out.#hard to articulate these thoughts but tl;dr- popcorn ending also had a lot to think about

Marauders Ship Names Spreadsheet

I'll link this in my pinned post too. I have made a spreadsheet with every marauders era ship name I can think of. This is just the first version of the chart. More characters can be added if desired (although if they are too far in age from the marauders group I'll veto adding them).

I am calling all mutuals, followers, marauders fans, and frankly complete strangers to help me complete this chart

All credit for Marlene being associated with sea/ocean and Dorcas being associated with storm goes to @ocean--storm in this post.

All purple cells are ships that need a new name or a name at all. All yellow cells are ships that I am proposing a new name for. All blue cells are ships that should probably get a new name at some point, but have very silly portmanteaus that I am currently having too much fun with (ala Katniss x Peeta=Peeniss or Katpee so we call them EverLark (Everdeen+Mellark) or Toast (Girl on Fire+Boy with the Bread).

Things I've Learned from Making this Chart:

I am great at wasting my time on meaningless projects

The girls in general need more attention, but especially Mary, Emmeline, Sybill, and Pandora

I don't ship Sybill with most of these characters, but she has some METAL shipnames.

I am now lowkey shipping Lucius x Narcissa. Nobody could be less thrilled about this than me.

We don't have a name for Pandora x Xenophilius (including a portmanteau) which is really sad considering they're canon.

Now, I am about to waste a truly stupid amount of time tagging this with a bunch of ships (not every single one on the chart, but all the common ones).
