Fandom Problem #6279:
People not staying out of Fandoms for media they have no interest in just to shit on people who are interested.
This isn't about people talking about Fandoms with largely toxic minor fanbase.
No it's people constantly making their entire life revolve around shitting on fans who consume media or content they disagree with. Sometimes talking about how they are "glad they stopped watching/playing and never looked back"
Mate your literally looking back and shoving yourself in full-body first just by talking about the media, it's fans, and how much you hate them. Shut up.

Chapter 1
Read it on AO3
Read it on Wattpad
The sounds of footsteps walking outside of her room caught Alexandria Gray off guard. Normally, when she woke up, it was to her... her... well, she couldn't exactly remember it. When she lived at home, she used to wake up to the sounds of screaming and shouting from her parents. That wasn't happening today.
Today had started like any other. Alexandria woke up, she got ready for community college, and she prepared to work at the theatre. What she hadn't expected, however, was how her day had ended.
Recently, she couldn't exactly remember that. From what she's been told, Alex was caught trying to break into the Star Haven hotels. Amnesia, they said. It wasn't like she remembered much. Alexandria was a 20 year old girl stuck in a position she didn't quite understand. She was hooked up to monitors and dawned in a white patients gown sitting in the hospital bed.
The beeping of the monitors rang clearly, slowly starting to get on Alex's nerves. She could deal with a lot, but her head was in a lot of pain. She didn't know why she was in pain to begin with if she was hooked up to so many bags and IVs. She took a deep breath in and exhaled, stopping to think about how she got here.
The last thing she REALLY remembers was smacking her head upon the tile floors. Her vision was blurry, but she remembered the way the tiles sparkled. They reflected her mirrored face against them as she started to black out. That's why it stuck out in her head. The next thing she knew, she woke up in the infirmary at the hotel.
It was an elegant place, really. Hundreds of thousands of meters of pure perfection, a one way stop for all your needs delegated into one complex; a luxurious neighborhood for the elite. You could stay there at the hotel, but it was nothing compared to living in-house there.
And yet, that was exactly where Alex found herself. She SERIOUSLY didn't understand it. The sounds of somebody playing piano off in the distant rang clearly in her room, cutting clear through the mechanical beeps of the machines. A head injury causing retrograde amnesia, they said.
It made sense. Her head pounded harder than any bender she had been on before. Harder than any hangover. The way it pushed against the back of her head in a throbbing pattern, making it near unbearable. She looked around the room, the four walls around her painted a white color with purple undertones. Pictures of landscapes strewn about the walls, and a window on the furthest wall from her.
When the sun rose, it blinded her. She only knew this because this was her only way of keeping time, because this damned hospital didn't seem to have a clock. Maybe that was part of the design, she thought. She sat there and waiting for her medicine to kick in.
Just as the train of thought started, it was abruptly cut short by the door swinging open, being met with a face she hadn't seen before. Alex noted how his brow seemed to furl as he looked around the room before finally making eye contact with her.
"You're awake" He spoke. He wasn't one of her doctors, and she knew this because she had already met them.
"Yeah, I guess I have been for awhile."
The man walked in more towards the room before pausing.
"Is there no TV in here? There's supposed to be one."
Alex paused. "I mean. I guess not. I haven't exactly seen one as far as I remember..." she bit the inside of her lip before speaking again "Um...Who are you, exactly?"
The man stopped in his tracks, almost as if he was shocked by her words. "Right. You don't know me. I'm Oliver. This is my hotel, and my infirmary."
"So... You're like my doctors boss."
"I'm more like your nurse." he said, and reached over to look at the clip board. "Have they given you any medication?"
She shook her head, instantly regretting it. Her hand shot up to the side of her head to sooth the pain she couldn't reach. "Be careful, now." Oliver added, moving her IVs to give a better flow. "You can't block these."
"I know that. What's the point when they don't even work?"
Oliver rolled his eyes. "Here. Use this button if you need, not want, but need to up your medicine." he uttered, reaching for the drip button and upping the dose for her. "It's hard to regulate pain when people are asleep. It's good that you're able to talk."
The blonde girls brows knitted. "Why wouldn't I be able to talk?"
"They had you intubated. Sometimes there can be vocal chord trauma."
Alex looked down towards the bed. She hadn't realized how deep the process was. Instead of sharing her thought with the stranger in front of her, she decided to instead badger him.
"So you work here?" she poked. "Yes. Sometimes."
"What do you mean by sometimes?"
"I own the hotel as well. I'm Oliver Haven. This is Star Haven"
Despite her attempts at badgering, she did genuinely learn new information from this. She remembered the name Oliver. Just vaguely. Enough to spawn a memory of her on a stage, and feeling guilty-hate about it. She didn't know what she was remembering, but she knew it was still hidden.
"So you're ARE like my doctor's boss."
Oliver frowned, her comment clearly not amusing him. "Well, yes, but no. I own one of the most prestigious hotels in the--" He cut himself off. "You know what? It doesn't matter. I don't know why I'm arguing with you if you don't even remember." he shook his head before walking back out of the room.
Alex frowned before shaking her own head. It wasn't like she wasn't used to it, people constantly treated her like she was lesser than, or like she was an idiot. The way she felt right now. For the longest time she lived with two parents who mistreated and abused her.
She was used to doing the housekeeping, the cooking, the cleaning, and the caring for her younger siblings. It wasn't until she was 16 years old that she would sneak out one night to stay with her friend, Benji. She just so happened to never return.
It was hard. She had to leave behind her siblings who she loved deeply. The thought of it almost brought tears to Alex's eyes, but she worked hard to suppress them. She didn't know what kind of horrors they were facing in her place now, but she just had to get out of there.
Her friend Benji was a really sweet person. He had his degree in business and took his role in the theatre very seriously.
Benji's dad owned the theatre, and when he passed away, Benji inherited the theatre. That much she remembered. She remembered living with him in his attic-space, and her tiny little bedroom directly above the stage. It could get annoying at times, but she loved it.
Scrolling through her present memories, she couldn't shake the feeling that she knew the man who had previously entered her room. The feeling nagged at her brain like an itch she couldn't scratch, or like a lock without a key.
Despite all of this, the feeling of the morphine running through her IVs is what Alex was focusing on the most. Something about it felt familiar, and yet, very distant. So close she could almost taste it. Maybe that was just the medicine talking, she told herself. It was a relaxing, bone numbing type of relief. It had taken awhile for it to finally hit, but she was glad it did.
The pounding in her head started to subside.
While caught up in her own thoughts, her hospital door opened again to two men hauling in a hanging stand and a television, with them apologizing for the noise. before she knew it, her time at the infirmary sped by a lot faster.
* * *
Alex was quickly transferred from unit to unit. The one thing that stayed consistent seemed to be the intake of drugs she was receiving. She wasn't arguing, obviously. The morphine felt nice, she was beginning to like it. A lot. the Oxy wasn't as good of a high as the morphine, but it was still nice. The tramadol really took the edge off.
She missed weed the most, though. The way the smoke felt against her lungs. The way it burnt in just the right way, like it was a poisonous little treat she could partake in.
She found herself enamored with the thought of walking out onto the patio of her new room and just smoking a joint. She should have been focusing on the conversation she was having with her doctors, but she wasn't. All she could focus on was the drugs.
"And you'll be getting a constant intake of the morphine drip" One said.
"Mhm."
"And the Codeine helps with the body pains you're getting from being in bed all day." Said another.
"Right"
It was the same line of questioning everyday. How do you feel? Are you getting any better? Do you want to sue us? They obviously didn't say the last part out loud, but over the few weeks that she'd suspected she'd been here, she'd picked up on enough of the vibe. They felt liable for SOMETHING. what that something was, was as good a guess as anyone else's when it came to the state she was in.
She was upping the dosage on her morphine drip when Oliver walked into her room again.
"So, they're transferring you?" Oliver asked, a knowing answer to his tone
"Wait. What?! To where?" Alex responded while quickly shooting up in her bed, much to her own dismay. The pain felt...different. Like it was there, but mellow. She didn't like it, and sure as hell wouldn't be sitting up that fast any time soon.
"Yeah.. your doctor was just in here?"
"Oh. I wasn't listening, I'm sorry."
Oliver looked at her with a familiar glare, one she almost remembered. "What?! It's not like they tell me anything important. Take your meds at this time. Don't do this. Certainly do this. What's the point in even listening?"
"...To know what they're saying?" Oliver pursed his lips together as he finished his sentence, clasping his hands together. "You know, it might do you some good to just...listen?"
"Mhm. Right."
"Anyway... yes." Oliver stopped and looked at the clip board at the end of her bed. "You're getting transferred. To a suite on the J floor... which is close enough for me to keep an eye on you" he ended his sentence with another glare.
"Yeah, okay, I get it. You don't trust me. I literally do NOT know who you are. I kind of don't care right now." Alex finally responded before upping the dosage on her morphine again and laying back down. "Transfer me wherever. Just make the pain go away." Alex turned to stare out of her window.
"Right.."
Oliver walked towards the door and looked back at her. He cocked his head to the side before finally walking out of the room. The doctors came in and transferred her up from there. It was a simple process, really. They had multiple people wheeling the equipment Alex needed for her injuries, in behind her rolling hospital bed. Taking two elevator trips to make it up to J floor, Alex was quite content with the process.
She didn't have to do a thing.
By the time she was settled in her new room...house? She was starting to feel a bit woozy from all the medicine.
"Are you doing alright?" A voice called out. Alex had to work hard to make her eyes not see double. "Hm?"
"Are you settled in alright?"
When her vision finally focused in, she saw a petite ginger girl staring back at her. "Yeah. Who are you?"
"I'm Oliver's assistant. I forgot you wouldn't remember me even if you didn't have a head injury. We've only met a few times before and they weren't exactly....nice." The girl seemed anxious and she held a journal in her hands. It was purple and had a strap holding it closed. She also had a satchel sat around one of her shoulders.
"Oh! Well, I'm Alex. Most people call me Andie." The girl went to reach her hand out, but noticed the distance between the two.
"Ohp! Sorry!" The ginger stepped forward to close the gap between her and the girl in the bed. The two shook hands before returning to their previous stance. "So, you never answered my question, are you settling in alright?"
"Oh. I think I said yes, I don't exactly have the best memory right now... What was your name again?"
"I keep forgetting you don't remember! I'm Avery. You know, it's very weird to see you in such a state."
Alex frowned. "What do you mean?"
"Well, you usually present yourself as somebody who doesn't really care about what anyone thinks, and you do things all on your own, and you're an independent woman, or something like that. I'm going to be honest, we didn't focus much on what you did in your genre of music."
"...We? Music?" Alex felt...small.
"Here." Avery reached into her satchel and retrieved out a laptop. "These were for you, anyway." She set the laptop and journal down on the bed, and she opened the laptop. She began to search up Alex's full name before turning the laptop towards her.
Alex looked towards the girl in a sort of disbelief. It was her dream come true, and it really felt like just that, a dream.
The laptop sat in front of her showed Alex herself, but a way more successful form.
"I...actually did it?" She finally spoke, the drugs making words hard for her. "Well, yeah, but I guess that depends on who you ask.." The ginger girl trailed off before focusing her words back. "You're very happy where you're at from what we can tell"
Alex shook her head. This was all very new to her. "You keep saying 'We'. You mean Oliver? What's our beef, anyway?"
Avery sat on the edge of Alex's bed and tilted her head to the side. "I wouldn't call it beef. You're competitors. It's natural that you two just...never got along."
"Right.."
"Well, I'll leave you to get settled in on your first night. I wrote my number down on a sticky note in the journal, just so you can have it, just in case. If you need anything, just text me."
Alex gave her a warm smile and waved her off. She pulled the laptop up towards her lap and started searching her name across multiple social media sites. It took her awhile to figure out her log in, but it was the same from when she was a kid, so she remembered it.
From there, Google had all of her passwords saved. She was able to get back up to date with her current life. She also signed into her iCloud, getting access to all her contacts. She was really excited, but to be honest, the drug made it hard to feel super perked up. They were downers, after all.
She researched her name, and figured out all of the things she'd done. She learned that she released music under her own name at one point, and generally did a lot of live shows. The last thing she remembers doing was musical theatre, so it made sense that she went into music.
It was just another creative avenue she was allowed to go down. She would express herself in any way possible and this seemed to be the path she'd decided to go down. She'd always wanted to make music in the past, and it seems Benji Knowles was credited as her producer. It made sense.
Last she remembered, she was living with him above the theatre. The warehouse, they called it. It was a huge wooden area above the theatre that Benji's dad had renovated into a house over the years. Benji grew up there while the process happened.
She thought about sending him over a text, but wasn't sure how to format it. I mean, how do you reach out to one of your best friends and say you got hurt without causing them immense worry? She scrolled through her iMessages and clicked open Benji's contact.
She formulated a message that basically said, "Hey, I'll be gone for awhile and I won't be able to talk about it. It's a long story."
Instantly she got a reply, despite how late in the night it had gotten.
"Are you okay"
"Yes" she replied back. Formulating her second sentence flowed even easier. She was always a double texter. "I was breaking into Oliver's Hotel"
"Idiot" was his reply.
She was an idiot. What was she doing out there? She seriously hated that she couldn't remember.
"I got a head injury while doing so" she added on
There were multiple messages from Benji at that point. "Holy shit Alex." "Are you okay?" "What happened??"
She sighed. That was APART of the PROBLEM. She hated being stuck in difficult situations she couldn't remember. It sucked ass. It was as if she transported herself back in time. Picked out of place from where she previously stood and placed down into here and now.
"I'm okay. It's amnesia. I literally don't remember" she replied back.
"It's going to be okay" he added. 'Would it really?', Alex thought to herself. Hearing these words from her friend was encouraging, but it was still hard to believe. "Where are you now?" he asked.
"Still at Oliver's hotel."
"That's brutal. Hope you make it out alive" He joked, making reference to how much the two hated him.
"Actually, tell me more. Why do I hate him?"
It took a couple minutes for Benji to reply, but when he did, it all made sense. He had typed out a paragraph for Alex to read.
"It's a really long story. He screwed you over multiple times, some in the media, some behind the scenes. In the media he's always painted you as some lowly person who'd never be at the same level as he would be seen on. He's literally been quoted as saying that brushing shoulders with you was one of his worst regrets. You've cause a lot of turmoil for the hotel, however, I won't lie. You've hosted a couple concerts there behind Oliver's back, and each time, you got away with it. The police had no proof it was your doing. He had to get better security because of you."
It took her a hearty minute to process everything, but as she did, all the memories came flooding back to her. Memories of the ways Oliver stared her down menacingly as she responded in suit. An old fashioned stare down between the two. She remembered WHY she remembered the stage.
There was an event he hosted. She didn't remember which one in particular, but she remembered being there and performing. Being told "Your act isn't enough". Being denied. It was soul crushing, and she wished she could forget it all over again.
"I wish I could forget that" She replied back. "Is there anything else?"
"No. That's about it."
She shut her phone off and turned to fall asleep in her bed, the medicine fully knocking Alex out.

Headlights.
You blinked slowly, soaking in your surroundings. Your hands were gripping a steering wheel, your foot pressed against the gas petal of what you recognized to be Jacks truck. You had never seen the interior before. It appeared to be night time, the skies pitch black and the headlights on his truck the only source of light you could see. The back roads you were driving down appeared to be endless, no buildings or distinctive land marks on the side of the road. As you regripped the steering wheel you glanced down at the ancient radio, static waves coming out of the trucks speakers.
You recognized wicked games by Chris Isaak fighting to play through the static. Logically you concluded you must have been almost out of range with the radio station. Expecting to see one of your lovers or friends you turned around, looking around the truck. It unsettled you to find it empty. Tim’s tattered and discarded jacket sat in the drivers seat, dried blood coating the fabric. Why were you driving like this alone? The snow had finally subsided, but that didn’t take away the cold temperatures outside of the truck. The coldness was nipping at your nose, the heater inside of the vehicle broken with no plans of being repaired. It occurred to you as you drove past a group of frozen deer, there was only one logical explanation.
Why yes of course, you were dreaming.
Shifting in your seat you laid back, now a bit more comfortable as you processed your realization. You were dreaming, none of this truly mattered. You could just ride out the dream, your actions had no consequences. Strumming your fingers on the wheel you grabbed one of the knobs on the center console, attempting to find a radio station that actually worked. Static and muffled voices played as you spun the little wheel, until you finally heard an actual human voice.
‘On tonight’s news we again report the absence and missing person Nova Parker. She has been reported missing for over a month now, her family and colleagues still hopeful she’s out there. If anyone has seen or heard anything, please contact us at 1-800-555-6279. Back to you Jim.’
You quickly pushed the button on the stereo, a new form of remorse washing over you. Your decision making skills landed your best friend to become a missing person. Everyone she’s ever known is now concerned she’s dead in a ditch somewhere for all they know. You stripped her away from her hard earned life. Her career. Her relationships. True, now she had Jack. But she also now had a demon attached to her and no feelings in her fingertips. You truly had fucked your best friend over when she had done nothing but love you and look after you. How could you ever repay her?
The thought alone began to nag at you, like a ghost whispering over your shoulder. You sighed, leaning over slightly to grab the fabric of Tim’s discarded jacket. The clothing held more memories and emotions than you could truly describe or comprehend. You rubbed it between your fingers, the item sentimental and bringing you comfort. You glanced to your left, noticing another pack of frozen deer. That was odd. You weren’t too concerned though, the comforting knowledge of this all being a dream leading you to not care at all. It was then you jumped at the sound of sudden static leaking from the trucks speakers. You could feel your heart pounding, your eyes widening at the sound. You clenched your jaw, refusing to let this turn into some sort of horrifying nightmare again.
Aggressively you slammed your hand on the power button of the center console. The static didn’t fade, if anything the sound ignited louder. You glared at the radio, slamming your hand against it even harder. You ignored the pain forming in your palm, your anger overriding it. You were so sick. So fucking sick of hearing the dreaded static that plagued your mind. You were so focused on stopping the sickening sound you hadn’t seen the deer in the road, a gasp leaving your lips as you abruptly turned the steering wheel to the right. Your brain refused to process what happened next, your body shooting forward as you crashed into the unknown. A jolt of pain went down your spine. Your vision temporarily going black.
You could feel yourself breathing and your heart pounding, your lungs struggling to breathe in air. You swallowed as you forced yourself to wake up, blood dripping down your forehead from where you had hit yourself on the steering wheel. Great. You briefly touched the dripping blood, the crimson red staining your fingertips. You rubbed them on your shirt, looking up and through the cracked windshield. It was almost entirely shattered, glass shards scattered through out the front dash and seat. Looking down it also laid on your thighs, causing you to shove the glass off of you. “Fucking hell,” You grumbled. The truck appeared to be slanted, having crashed into what you assumed to be a ditch. On your right you could see wet grass, fresh and freezing cold water below the vehicle.
Fuck.
Your eyes wondered upwards, the power line pole knocked out of place from your crash. Pulled apart split wires danced above the pond of water, electric sparks flying in the air. Gulping you stared at the pool, recognizing that you would no doubt be electrocuted if you stepped inside of it. Unsteadily you gripped onto the open truck door, awkwardly balancing on the side of the truck. You were thankful you were wearing shoes, your nose beginning to twitch from the cold temperature. Looking up you estimated the jump to land to be maybe five feet, but you weren’t entirely sure. The sparks were your only source of light minus the crash headlights. Gulping you prepared yourself, flinging yourself over the electric pond. Your eyes were screwed shut, the cold air blowing past you.
You only had one opportunity to do this. You could feel the cold air flying past you, whipping you in the face as you jumped. Holding your breath you landed on solid ground, a sigh of relief escaping your lips. Your relief was short lived, an unaccounted for pile of mud causing you to slide backwards. You gasped, the air knocked out of your lungs from terror as you slid backwards. Your eyes shot open, an all too familiar hand reaching out and grabbing a handful of your shirt. Taking a deep breath you managed to think straight as you recognized Toby. He tossed aside his hatchet, grabbing your shoulders.
“W-wake the f-f-fuck up! Are you i-i-insane?” Toby hissed. Gasping you pawed at his hoodie, your eyes wide as you looked around. “W-what? I don’t understand,” You sputtered. Nervously you looked behind you, Jacks truck truly crashed into the electric pole. Toby abruptly grabbed your shoulders, regaining your attention. “You w-w-were sleep walking and snuck-k-k out. Scared the shit out of us,” Toby explained. His eyes were wide, full of panic as he examined you. “A-are you h-hurt? You could’ve killed-d-d yourself,” Toby told you. He looked up at your forehead, noticing the fresh blood. “Relax Toby i’m fine. I thought I was dreaming,” You replied, nervously glancing over at the wrecked vehicle. “Where are the others?” You asked. It was the dead of night, the moon concealed behind ashy gray clouds. It was a miracle they even found you.
“I’m t-the fastest runner. N-not that I c-c-care but i’m obligated to ask. Nova isn’t with you?” Toby asked. You began to panic at his question, your breath becoming visible as the temperature dropped lower. “No? She isn’t with you?” You questioned. A loud crash interrupted your questioning, Jack having jumped on his truck. He dented the back metal, elbowing the back window. The glass shattered, causing you to cringe as he looked around the abandoned truck. Once he realized it was vacant he jumped over the pond with ease, grabbing your sleeve. “Nova isn’t with you? Where is she?” Jack questioned. His words were said quickly, the words borderline running together. “I don’t know I thought I was asleep. You weren’t watching her?” You asked. Despite his mask being secured to his face, his body tensed up in anger. “I’m not a goddamn babysitter. You’re her best friend,” Jack snarled. You yanked your arm out of his grasp, glaring up at him.
“Oh im sorry, if you weren’t watching her what exactly were you doing? You don’t exactly have a job,” You snapped. An animalistic growl was bubbling in the bottom of Jacks throat, one that alarmed Toby. “You really wanna know? I was out hunting. You wanna find out what I eat? I’ll show you,” Jack argued, taking a step closer to you. It was then two sets of hands threw you behind them, Tim, Brian, and Toby intervening. “Enough horseplay. Let’s find the girl and go the fuck home,” Tim spat. His tone of voice indicated to you it was actually Masky. Curiously you peaked over his shoulder, both his mask and Hoodie’s on. You furrowed your eyebrows as to why they were fronting. “She’s not here, quite obviously,” Jack huffed. You pushed past your lovers, determined to be apart of the conversation. “Okay so use that medical brain of yours. If she’s not with Y/n, where could she be?” Hoodie questioned. Your brain was racking itself, freshly fallen snow dancing across strands of your hair.
Logically The Operator could’ve had her kill herself. That alone was nipping at your conscious. There was a reason he wasn’t. Looking up at your three lovers it occurred to you if he was malicious enough to use them as slaves for eternity there wasn’t any hellish bridge he wouldn’t cross. “What words did she specifically use when she was in Jacks room?” You asked, beating around the bush that she etched messages onto his walls. Masky shrugged, finally facing you. “All of the ominous bullshit The Operator puts in your head. That he’s coming, it’s the end, all of that bullshit,” He replied. If The Operator was coming, surely that might be why Nova was on the run. “She did put home is where the heart is, which i’ve never seen before in all my years,” Hoodie mentioned. You froze, eyes widening. You grabbed Hoodie’s sleeve, shaking it. “The Operator was coming and she ran away to home! She’s at her apartment! You’re a genius!” You exclaimed. You lifted up his mask, pecking him on the lips before turning to the others.
“We need to get to Nova’s apartment and we need to get there now,” You said firmly. Masky nodded affirmatively. “Toby and Jack you both can run ahead. We’ll find a way to catch up,” Masky said. You audibly scoffed. “As if. What are we going to do? Hitchhike?” You questioned. Looking over at Toby you took a step towards him. “Can you carry me there?” You asked, shivering. Toby nodded, signaling for you to jump on his back. “A-anything for y-you,” He agreed. You hesitantly jumped on his back, his arms wrapping around your legs to secure you in place. Afraid you may fall you wrapped your arms around his neck, burying your face in his shoulder. You screwed your eyes shut as he took off, carrying you as if you weighed nothing at all. Cold wind whipped past you, your hair flying through the night as he ran. His grip on you never wavered, neither did his stamina. Toby never took a moment to breathe, he acted as though he didn’t need to.
Worry clouded your mind, Novas absence daunting any form of hope you could have. You felt your stomach churn as Toby eventually set you down, outside of Nova’s apartment building. Pushing the door open the three of you ignored the receptionist, who thankfully was too indulged in her youtube video to look up and notice two masked men and a missing girl walking by. The wait in the elevator was tense and anxiety filled, your hands nervously clenching and unclenching until the door dinged open. You felt your heart drop at the sight of yellow caution tape covering her front door. As if Jack could read your mind he pulled out his scalpel, flipping it before slipping through the tape carelessly.
He yanked it down, kicking open the door. Stale air and dust hit you, the cold apartment unoccupied. “Nova!” You called out, your voice echoing off of the abandoned walls. All of her belongings were still in place, down to her badge and uniform neatly laid out for what she assumed to be her shift the following day. Jack stormed past you, searching through each room. You stood motionless. Were you wrong? What if The Operator was truly careless enough to just chuck her off of a cliff? Toby stood beside you, eyeing you carefully. “W-what are you thinking?” He asked. You looked around, little numbered cards littering different areas that Nova once called home. Nova was a neat person, the scattered items signaling to you that either the police or someone else had rummaged through her things. Jack was out of breath by the time he emerged from her guest room. “Empty,” He panted. You sighed, flopping down on her couch.
You rested your head in your hands, nervously combing through your hair. How could you be so wrong? “We’re missing something,” You finally answered. Out of the corner of your eye you thought you saw a shadow, causing you to look up. Your gaze landed on a picture of you and Nova, celebrating one of her birthdays. You approached the photo on the wall, tilting your head. Dust covered the glass, your smiles permanently printed for viewing. The realization hit you like a ton of bricks, your eyes widened as you turned around. “This isn’t what Nova considers to be home. She wouldn’t be able to come back here anyway. She’s at my apartment, let’s go,” You say, grabbing both of the boys by the sleeves of their hoodies. Toby was hesitant, dragging his heels into the floor. “What a-a-about Masky and Hoodie?” He questioned. You clenched your jaw, hauling him over to the elevator as Jack followed. “They’ll catch up. We need to find her and we need to find her now before it’s too late,” You answered.
The run between your apartments was anything but short, your lungs burning as you struggled to keep Jack and Toby in your line of sight. You ignored Toby’s offers to carry you, the adrenaline and desperation to find your friend providing you with enough energy to push through. Your legs cried for help as you finally made it to your apartment building, the three of you barging inside. You clenched your jaw at the elevator being out of the order, darting for the stairs instead. You had to find her. You needed to find her. Nova was your rock, your everything. She had been with you through it all. She had thrown her entire life away for you. You owed her everything you could offer and more. There was no doubt that you loved her, no doubt at all.
You pushed open your apartment door, despair washing over you at the sight before you. Your face fell as you fell to your knees at the sight of Nova hanging from a noose, her body hanging limp as her corpse hung from the ceiling fan.

#EveryoneBattlesTheirOwnWar
Sure everyone battles their own war and we all need to be kind to each other; as for the planet.
So while enjoying the sun with some friends on the terrasse, we were having, again, this little discussion about the crucial situation of wildfires in Canada. Because after all these years they are still present.
Since May 1st, a total of 6279 wildfires have been listed that have already devastated over 17 millions of hacres across Canada and yet, nothing's over because today they are 913 of them which are still active. So yes, climate….
Food for thought.

[Mercy Towards Children]:
al-Imaam as-S’adee, may Allah have mercy on him, said:
Showing mercy towards children, being gentle towards them, and doing things to make them happy are all forms of mercy.
Just as not paying them any attention and a lack of gentleness are forms of roughness, sternness, and cruelty.
An example of this is when some rough bedouins saw the Prophet (ﷺ) and his Companions kissing their small children, one of the bedouins said:
I have ten children; I have not kissed any of them.
The Prophet (ﷺ) said:
Am I able to do anything for you, if Allah has removed mercy from your heart?! [1]/[2]

20240309: the History of LEGO Castle day 069. 6082 Fire Breathing Fortress (1993, 406 pieces, 152 different parts) The Fire Breathing Fortress is a black and light gray fortress with red roofs built on a green raised 32x32 baseplate with ramp and a brick-built black dragon head over the ramp with yellow eyes, small red wings, a moveable red tongue, and flames from its nostrils. This set includes six minifigures. -The first minifigure is Majisto with a blue wizard hat with a white beard, black plastic cape, blue torso with blue arms and a yellow v-neck with a black belt and yellow buckle and a small brown pouch, plain blue legs, a glow-in-the-dark wand, and a white 2x2 printed spell scroll tile. -The second minifigure has a black dragon helmet with all three yellow dragon plumes, a yellow minifigure head with red bangs, sideburns, eyebrows, and mustache, a yellow cloth cape with a green dragon breathing red flame with a red border around the cape, a red torso with one blue arm and one black arm, printed silver shoulder covers, and a yellow and black halved dragon head spouting yellow flames on a black and red background with one black leg and one blue leg and a red belt. -Three of the minifigures have a yellow minifigure head with black forehead tuft and mustache, a red torso with blue arms and a printed yellow dragon head on a red background with a printed black belt with yellow notches and circular hollow yellow belt buckle, and light gray legs with a black belt. Accessories include two black axe wielder helmets, a black archer helmet, a brown bow and quiver, a dark gray crossbow, a dark gray sword, and an ovoid shield with a green dragon with red wings on a yellow background with a red border. -The last minifigure is a Wolfpack person with a brown torso and brown arms with a silver wolfhead on a black triangular pattern with a red border, black legs with a red belt, and a yellow minifigure head with black bangs, beard stubble, and a patch over one eye with a black hood. This set has several new and unique parts: -This is the only set to use this green 32x32 raised baseplate with ramp, pit, and dark gray rock patterns. -There are two (VERY COOL) black pieces with printed yellow dragons facing each other. One is a black 1x8x2 arch and the other is a black 2x5x6 wall panel. Both are only found in this set and 1906 Majisto's Tower. -The light gray 7x7 castle turret top corner is only found in one other set (6097 Night Lord's Castle). -The black 4x7x9.33 straight enclosed staircase is only found in this set and a 1991 space set, 6988 Alpha Centauri Outpost. -The yellow and green cloth 8x5 dragon banner only appears in three other sets (1906 Majisto's Tower, 6056 Dragon Wagon, and 6076 Dark Dragon's Den). -Only three other castle sets have the light gray 1x12x3 arch (6090 Royal Knight's Castle, 6097 Night Lord's Castle, and 9367 Castle Set from Education and Dacta). -The red 4x8x6 tower roof is only found in two other sets (1906 Majisto's Tower and 9367 Castle Set from Education and Dacta. -The brown 9x13 grille is only found in four other sets (6076 Dark Dragon's Den, 6091 / 6098 King Leo's Castle, 6097 Night Lord's Castle, and 6279 Skull Island). -This green dragon was only found in six sets (6037 Witch's Windship, 6056 Dragon Wagon, 6076 Dark Dragon's Den, 6082 Fire Breathing Fortress, 6087 Witch's Magic Manor, and 9376 Castle Set from Education and Dacta). -This is one of only six castle sets to use the black 3x1x3.33 slope with studs (6048 Majisto's Magical Workshop, 6075-1 Wolfpack Tower, 6078 Royal Drawbridge, 6079 Dark Forest Fortress, 6082 Fire Breathing Fortress, 6090 Royal Knight's Castle). -The ovoid shield with a print of a green dragon with red wings on a yellow background with a red outline is only found in twelve sets. Parts inventory for this set can be found at BrickLink or Rebrickable and a free download of the instructions can be found at ToysPeriod. If you want to know more about the designer, Daniel August Krentz, BrickSet did a really nice tribute and has a full list of everything he designed.
