Hung out with the head cook outside of work whose like super nerdy ab music + works like 60hours a week + no social life/has like maybe 2 friends + sober + on the spectrum a bit it we got Ethiopian food and went to a drone show from a guy in Nine inch nails. We actually get along great and are pretty similar I asked him if he wishes he had more of a social life or just more free time and he was like I would need a lot more free time before I wished I did more stuff . Which I just thought was a funny answer

Work

Lack of sleep is catching up to me... Oof. It was a good week. I push A LOT through. I accomplished what I normally accomplish in 2-3 weeks. However, I worked Monday - Friday at noon and clocked out with 60hours. I am beat. I am also taking a certification course this week. I have an additional 4 hours into that so far, and and 1/3 complete. It is 3pm now, so it will be another late night, then am day of training tomorrow.

I did go to the climbing gym three times this week. It was awesome. I was very challanged on Tuesday morning, but made it to the top of the sets Wednesday night! Big win! Visits were short but rewarding. On Tuesday night I also had a board game night with a good friend. It was a great way to spend an evening.

It has been a good week, but I think I might go do the rest of my reading while I take a hot bath ...

Chapter 7 - Mail

Ezra had not answered his last text yet. He had spent most of the night awake on his bed despite the fatigue, wondering about his choice, and about the reasons behind it. He had replayed every conversation in his head, trying to understand what it was that made him ache so much at the mere thought of not seeing him again

We're reaching the half of this story already!! (At least in the number of chapters, but they grow longer by the day so... We're not half way through already!)

Posting schedule will change, because I'll be working 60hours/week until New Year, so I'll post a new chapter every Friday!

Tony nods and closes his eyes, taking a deep breath in and letting it out slowly. "Yeah. You get a read first," he agreed. He wasn't sure it would matter either way. He wasn't sure Clint could come back and tell him that she ran a puppy kicking club and he wouldn't still go to see for himself.

He's not sure what to say anymore. Being that open and vulnerable is akin to having vomitted for an hour straight. His stomach hurts and his throat feels raw. He reaches over absently and pats Clint's leg. "Can we worry about it when we get there?" he asked. "If I talk about it too much, I'll talk myself out of it."

He needs a break. He's hit the wall and now he feel bad about pushing Clint so much earlier. "Did the coffee wake you up too much to nap? You can go watch a movie if you want." Please don't go. I know you won't be far but I want you right here beside me.

He rolls back on his side to face Clint, and his eyes flick over his face. "Sorry I pushed so hard today," he said softly. He rubs his arm and then lets his hand drop again. "You were being an asshole though. I'm allowed to be nice to you."

He doesn't mean to turn it back on Clint again and he doesn't plan to talk about that anymore either. He just wants to sleep and for a guy who often stays up for 60hours at a time, that's a pretty big deal. "Gonna nap now."

This was the deep end. Actually, that's an understatement this was the ocean and there's about twenty leagues of dark, scary emptiness behind. Clint's pretty sure that there were sharks in the water too. And they are bleeding.

He was not at all equipped for this. Tony just let him come with him? After he admitted that he wanted to drink. That feeling didn't just go away and if Clint hadn't used the rubber band as weapon against Tony, his wrist would have been red. And right now, he really wants to have a beer and ease his nerves.

Was he giving good enough advice? What was he trying to do? He's not leading a team here, and he's worried that he's getting rusty. Although, he did good enough with Kate and her crew, right? Right? Clint is trying to be supportive.

He can see the plight that Tony is clearly on. He's Hawkeye, he's got the eyes for seeing how this could go, understanding the angles. It is a tricky dilemma to be in and one Clint wouldn't wish on anyone or himself.

Clint let out a breath when Tony says that he was right. Okay, so he didn't entirely fuck that up.

❝ Could you handle that? ❞

That's the first thought on his mind when Tony admit to letting someone walk all over him. Clint knows what that was like, knows how it feels and he knows where his limits lie. He knows how much judgement he could handle from others watching him be walked all over.

❝ You let me get the read on her first, kay? ❞

Varré works unpaid overtime holy shit

Mans 60hours deep in a work week and it’s just Wednesday

Man, I've mulled over the similarities between Ansbach and Jerren -- both aged warriors, one seeking to avenge his fallen lord's dignity while the other looks to lay his own to rest with honor intact. And both Radahn and Mohg were robbed of that.

"... Lord Mohg will have his dignity."

"... A grand festival of war will be held in your honor... You will have your dignity, my general - my lord."

I wonder if something similar could be said of Varré and Freyja, beyond them wearing masks?

That's a good question, I do believe there are interesting differences between Ansbach and Varré. Unfortunately, we don't have a lot of information regarding Varré, he's quite mysterious cause his questline is pretty uninteresting. It had a mechanical purpose rather than lore purpose (since you had to invade other players at first.)

One of the things to take into consideration is Freyja was a Redmane before Radahn was struck with Scarlet Rot. With Varré, it's unclear if Mohg had been charmed or not. I'm leaning towards believing Mohg was bewitched at the time Mohgwyn Dynasty started crumbling.

I think there are similarities among Varré and Freyja, but it's a bit different. Varré's main purpose is to anoint Tarnished, meanwhile Freyja uhh, idk tackling her dyslexia. Freyja served her purpose, she's living in the past somewhat, meanwhile Varré is currently with the Mohg he became a companion to. They also presumably die around the same time, it's really unclear.

TL;DR they are quite similar in the way you had "old companion and new underpaid intern." Freyja is more outspoken what she believes is right for Radahn, meanwhile Varré works unpaid overtime.

srsly (three cheers for me), I stayed awake for about 60 hours the other week (with a 2 hour "nap" inbetween, after the first 25 hours & during my normal sleep phase, waking even before my alarm that day due to the subconscious pressure on myself to hear that darn alarm)

and all 'cause of a 2-day workshop happening right during my sleep times (with me really wanting to doze off that second day and crashing for 14 hours after those 60 hours when another sleep window opened) and the inability to fall asleep during my wake times (long live the insomnia part of Non24)

I am still tired, and still exhausted, and my Non24 & that 60hour episode is only part of that, the other parts are called chronic pain and depression

agnostic atheist here .. and right now wondering if I’m meant to sense some sign from above in how things are going atm .. because fml, nothing’s going right .. 

and it’s not even like I can blame some other people, because it’s also hardly their fault that they’re not well and I worry about that instead of the things going on in my life and I obv can never “get my priorities straight” and there’s just far too little time in the day (like, literally, Non24 is also still messing up my life)

anywayyy, just ranting & shouting into the void, not like I really regret that for me it’s always been and always will be family over everything .. but I do wish there was any cure for Non24 available, cause invisible or not, it’s still a fricking disability, officially attested and certified and all (or not (yet)) and it is not helping matters whatsoever
