#6. public pushback

The "nazi" part seems to be debunked well enough in the notes. *And* they also changed the name of the game. [Who knows, really, they are doing the minimum what someone could expect after allegations like this... but they are actually doing sg. But you also have to wonder... would they still have cleaned up/started to moderate their discord server if they hadn't met this kind of public reaction in the first place? ].
But also: the "it uses AI voices"-concern seems to be a overshadowed by this other one.
FUCK YES FUCK YES FUCK YES FUCK YES
#i still don't get what the “not only out and proud *but* changed the name” means#changing a name is the least you do in a situation like this#how the fuck is that a point *against*#and i'm probably mistaken#but i can imagine the events happening in a diff. order than it seems at first#1. game devs trying to be edgy + not caring + half-assing things#2. nazis seeing the first dogwhistle in the name and becoming interested#3. nazis seeing the *whole* bunch of dogwhistles they ended up with#4. game devs continue to not-care *and* to be not bothered by the actual neo nazis on their discord server#5. cue “and then you relize - oh shit- this is a nazi bar now”#6. public pushback#7. game devs desperately trying to distance themselves from the mess they *allowed* to fester around them#[tl;dr: the rare case of incidental dogwhistles actively pulling in their usual target groups#*and* the much more common case of people responsible letting it to happen]

Can you please do one for BTS?
Jin (King of Wands) He will confidently just say it to everyone, without giving af. He might do a live or say some sort of speech to tell us he is getting married, maybe make a post, but I see a live.
Suga (Temperance) He will be emotional about it. He will do it in a kind manner. He will try not to ruffle any feather with the announcement. I also see this as he will go with the flow and how he feels, so he will express it from his heart and a from a peaceful place.
RM (Knight of Cups) He will also reveal it from the heart. He will share it when he feels it is right. He is very intuitive, so he will do it when he knows it is the right time. He could even propose to this person in public, could that happen? He may announce it in a very creative way. He will share this news from the heart.
Jhope (8 of Wands) Not sure how to take this one. This energy is very scattered, lots of movement and excitement. Not sure how this fits into revealing his marriage, it may happen very quick and very sudden. It is like the news will happen very quick. Things will move very quick and fast. This gives me his engagement, will be quick and he will get married very soon after the engaging.
Jimin (7 of Swords) He would get this card. Not sure he will reveal his marriage. He will keep that a secret, or there will be some deception around the announcement.
V (6 of Wands) It would be a win for him, a success story. This is the ego and pride card, so he will boast about his engagement. There is a lot of pride in his announcement. Not sure how else to take this one.
Jungkook (The Fool) He may foolishly reveal it out of nowhere. Why do I feel people will think he is taking a risk, this could be fans, people around him. I feel he is going to get a lot of pushbacks from this announcement. I also feel he will jump into it too quickly. Weird energy here.

Hello hello! I was just curious, has it ever been mentioned anywhere how interspecies relationship work in twst?? If not, do you think it's a taboo??
That’s not a topic that has been discussed a lot within TWST canon; off the top of my head, I can only recall two mentions of interracial (they’re considered races in canon) relationships, and neither of them are super detailed or address how these relationships “work”.
The first and more obvious of these examples is the Zigvolts. We learn in book 5 of the main story that Sebek is half human and half fae, and then in his Birthday Boy vignettes Sebek tells us more about his family. His fae side comes from his mother and his human side comes from his father. Sebek also implies that there was societal pressure against their union, but his mother was very insistent and was not deterred.
The second example comes from some history Azul and Floyd have brought up (I believe in book 6 and in the second Beans Day event, respectively). They talk about an organization created by a Mermaid Princess who went to the surface world and married a prince of the Sunshine Lands. She wanted to establish stronger bonds between humans and merfolk, so she spearheaded programs and resources to help her people integrate with life on land. These include boot camps to teach merpeople about the culture, safety, and etiquette of the world above, and free potions which help merfolk to maintain their legs. There is no explicit nor implied social pushback in stories of the Mermaid Princess.
So… really, there’s not enough information to come to a consensus on what you asked. At best, I can maybe say that Briar Valley (being as isolationist as it is and having had a history of war with humans) more readily opposes interracial relationships. In general, it doesn’t seem like interracial relationships are all too prominent in TWST’s overall cast, but there’s not a lot which would implicate it is taboo on a widespread scale or banned anywhere. We also can’t really determine how people feel about it outside of like the one limited instance Sebek provides for us. (Azul and Floyd do speak about the Mermaid Princes and her human prince in a neutral manner, but they don’t delve into their thoughts on her marriage and are more focused on talking about the impact she has had on merkind.) All we can really say is that interracial relationships don’t seem to be a common thing (similar to the real world).
I think public opinion would really depend on the history we know of the different groups; fae have most often been described as exclusionary to those outside of themselves, and I think there have also been a few mentions (although far less than fae) of beastmen and human tensions. Merfolk and humans seem to have made the most strides in terms of friendliness with one another (though if the Mermaid Princess was anything like Ariel, then there may have been human prejudice present on her father’s end). Of course, we also need to consider the individual element (because not everyone thinks the same; see: Mrs. Zigvolt) and how feelings may have changed over time as society has progressed (ie like King Triton learned to be more accepting of humans)—that’s what makes it difficult to say for sure, because we actually only know bits and pieces of Twisted Wonderland’s history, not the whole picture.

Equality Ain't Pie

Rating: Mature
Summary: Dean Winchester and Castiel Novak have each been recruited to co-lead an elite team, Sexual Minorities Intelligence Tactical Endeavor (SMITE), created in reaction to the rise in attacks on alphas and omegas (called AOs), by Beta Rights Activists within the majority beta population. Prior to the team’s formation a plot to bomb an AO fundraising event was thwarted but the threat was serious enough to call for a law enforcement unit that had national reach and powers that superseded those of local and other federal agencies. Shortly after the team is assembled they are tasked with looking into AO youth living on the streets who are now missing as well as cases of product tampering where suppressants were replaced with a previously unknown super enhancer causing two unrelated college students to go into a dangerous heat cycle. Meanwhile, they face an enemy from within as well as mounting political pressure by some in government that do not want to see AOs have full rights in society and will do anything to see that they are removed from mainstream life. The stakes get higher when an attack on the team coincides with the kidnapping of the teen children of a pro-AO candidate with the rare occurrence of two AO children in one family. As the team continues to investigate they uncover a plot that could lead to making the public see AOs as unstable and needing to be removed from society.
Tags: Alpha Cas, Omega Dean, Kidnapping, murder, government plots, talk of conversion camps, talk of medical experiments on AOs, threats of sexual assault, mention of human sex trafficking, non-consensual drug exposure, panic attacks, past child abuse, alphas and omegas are commonly referred to as AOs
Excerpt below the cut
"Bobby, I'm gonna give it to you straight, the fact that you're even allowed to form this team is nothing short of remarkable. There's still a hell of a lot of pushback and prejudice against alphas and omegas and the LGBTQ+ communities that it's a miracle that it's happening at all. Your special task force will be able to do a lot of good and prevent a lot of harm. What's the extent of your operation?"
"Unlimited. We've been given unilateral scope to work nationwide and across all levels of law enforcement both military and civilian. We are authorized to be the lead agency in any jurisdiction. Surprisingly, they didn't fight me when I said that the team would be inclusive of AOs, as there is no sound reason not to hire alphas and omegas."
"That is a bit of a shock. Considering the ban on AOs serving openly in the military has only recently been lifted."
"Yeah, the LEOs were ahead of the curve on that one. Though I guess in a way it would make sense that law enforcement officers on the local, state, and federal levels would need to have some AOs to help deal with crimes against their community. AO crime vics seem to open up better to one of their own."
"Well, can you blame 'em? Betas still make up the majority of the population and hold all the cards when it comes to education, employment, and positions of power. They still place the blame on AOs for being victims. I hope to all that's holy that what you're doing will change things for the better."
"That's the plan."

I wonder if the pushback Meghan and Harry are receiving is also a trauma induced choc after covid. I mean it is so global, almost systematic and it's a good thing but they are also so many people who are awful but don't receive that much attention. Even I, like I didn't really care about them because I can't stand Harry but the Oprah interview changed it. The race baiting in particular but also their handling of the mental health problems (too much buzz words and word salad) and the lies....
What I'm saying is that I was wondering if it's also the fact that after so many people lost their family's members without being able to say goodbye we had to see priviledge people moan and attack their own family. And then the so public death of Philip and the so public widowhood of the Queen.
I say that because I was listenning music in shuffle mode and it went on "For those who can't be here" and I remembered when I heard it first. I just learnt the death of a friend. I can't listen to it now actually because I cry each time. I remember, I thought about Catherine, that she gets it. She understands, she thinks about these things. She associated herself with the right song at the right time.
I just wondered if it's the same thing with the Oprah interview. When people see H&M now they feel again the anger of that behaviour at that time.
I was just having this conversation with my mom the other day.
The total lack of awareness when they were being interview, even in the Netflix doc, was beyond the scope of rationale.
A, at the time, 37 year old man complaining his father cut him off financially and that it was lucky his mum gave him $20m otherwise they wouldn't have had anything.
I remember at this time inflation was starting to hit, people were losing their jobs, their homes, family members, etc...
But yet the WORLD was supposed to feel badly for the "Princess in the Tower" because no one was fawning over her during her pregnancy and treating her unborn child as if it was the next Emperor of the Universe. We were supposed to feel badly that the press justifiably vilified her for her lies and her attitude and her bullying. We were supposed to feel badly that while many people went to bed hungry she was crying in an opera box wearing thousands in jewels and clothing.
My favorite part was in Netflix when they acted like they were so destitute and had a hard time affording their $15M mansion.
Like what???
You know what I do when I really really really want something I can't afford? I either let of that dream or I set aside $$$ each month so I can eventually afford what I want.
But yet these two are here whining about how they just had to have that house and were going to do whatever they could to get it. Or whoever they could hahaha.
I truly think they are way past their sell by date. No one cares for them anymore and people have moved on with their lives. Americans could care less about H&M because many of us are worrying the F*** out over the 6-9% cost of living increase and the fact that some groceries have gone up 75% in the past two years.

The story of Henry Morgan
Born Henry Fitzwilliam Blackburn, 1832
Dear Henry was born to an affluent family in London. His father, Lord Charles Blackburn, was a judge well known for his firm hand against criminals. His mother, Helena, was gracious and kind.
Henry was always a wild child, never enjoying the quiet politeness of society. He would often read books of heros and adventures to escape- his favourite being pirates, the notorious Captain Henry Morgan in particular.
1. As he grew up he was put forward to study law, but still stow away to London's slums in the night where he indulged his wilder notions in sex, drink, gambling and fighting.
2. One night, after cheating at cards (go figure), Henry was badly beaten in the street. When he returned home, drunk and with a gashed open head, his father finally had enough of his debauchery and disowned him, forcing Henry out of the Blackburn house forever. Disoriented, Henry walked the streets till he came upon a vampire.
3. Henry wasn't sure what happened to the woman he saw before the world went black, but he knew he was different and something wasn't right with him anymore. It took the fledgling vampire a few days to realise exactly what had happened to him.
4. Five years later, Henry had constructed an entirely new life. Now leader of a street gang, Henry ruthlessly kept watch over his turf of Whitechapel. Henry's lot was known for stealing off the rich, which he would put back into the comfort of the poor he looked after. Favouring the docks, and with his new name, Henry "Morgan," the vampire became known as the 'Pirate of Whitechapel! He was considered by his own to be a good man. The people were better off and enjoyed plenty of merry nights of music, drink, and fights to entertain. But to his enemies? Henry was a bloodthirsty killer, one that rarely left room for mercy.
5. Henry had a habit of public speaking. With a silver tongue he would easily rile up his men's spirits, and the people of Whitechapel, often able to manipulate them out of his own charisma and one good speech. It was useful when he expected big risks for his own gains.
6. The vampire then started getting greedy. One particular rival seemed to be taking in a lot more goods through the docks and soon enough the raids on the warehouses and ships became so brutal and frequent, Henry's rivals couldn't ignore it.
7. It didn't take long to learn that the particular gang our dear Henry had chosen to pester was merely a front for something far larger. A coven of old world vampires, their resources and numbers far outweighing his. The Rosebourne twins, two vampiress with wicked smiles, were at its head. And to Henry's shock, one of them was the very one who turned him. They had grown frustrated with his father, and the crackdown upon their criminal empire, so had decided to take away his own son. When the sister, Cecilia, learned Henry had been disowned she instead decided to turn him, thinking he would make a fine pet. Now, five years later, she offered him a place with her- with power and blood- and Henry could only promptly tell her to fuck right off.
8. The raids and pushbacks escalated, and finally Henry gave in to his more wicked temptations. He and his men raided and killed and burned the Rosebourne docks and warehouses to the ground, the fire quickly spreading up the street. The twins lost many of their men and goods and immediately readied themselves for revenge. All the while, The Pirate of Whitechapel gleefully played his violin from across the Thames, basking in the glow of his work.
9. Not many days after, the fire still raging on the other side of the river, Henry walked into his home only to find a ring on his table. His father's Blackburn crest ring, covered in blood. He raced to his old family home finding his dear mother dead and drained, and his father dying in a corner. Lord Blackburn cursed Henry, blaming him for it all, then too passed on. Cecilia had killed them both.
10. While Henry had gone after his parents, the other Rosebourne twin (Charlotte) took what was left of her coven and attacked Whitechapel. Many perished in the slaughter, and some were made into vampires to help rebuild the coven. Henry was devastated as he walked the streets, seeing what all his greed had brought his people. His friend, Londe Connors, arrived and told him he needed to run. Londe worked for a syndicate called Omega that sought to maintain order between humans and inhumans- and despite all their warnings so many now died due to Henry's decisions. It marked him for death and soon their hunters would come calling and chase him to the ends of the world.
11. Henry had one thing he needed to do- he needed his own vengeance against Cecilia Roebourne. He confronted her, drawing his sword cane, though it did little against her. It was only when he used its broken wooden sheath and thrust it through her heart that he finally defeated the vampiress.
12. Now with Omega's hunter's at his back, and Charlotte Rosebourne seeking revenge for her fallen sister, Henry was left with no choice to to leave England. He sailed to New York and worked his was across the country, narrowly evading capture everywhere he turned. He will spend his days running, all the ghosts of his past right at his heels, come to deliver their retribution.

Liberals stepped over the bodies of Palestinian women to vote for Kamala Harris
As people mourn Trump’s win, Democrats have themselves to blame for ushering fascism by way of genocide and normalizing white supremacy
As people mourn Trump’s win this week, Democrats have themselves to blame for ushering fascism by way of genocide. Democrats normalized white supremacy and made constant concessions to the very people they said we needed to save democracy from. After the white supremacist uprising that was the Jan. 6 insurrection encouraged by Trump’s stochastic terrorism, one would hope that the U.S. would reckon with how white supremacy is interwoven and embedded into the country’s very structure. Instead, the liberal voting block stopped caring about migrants and asylum-seekers, trans kids, and Black and brown people most deeply affected by a tanking economy and threats to their rights and lives. We saw a pushback against diversity and equity initiatives (which were a corporate Band-Aid on a broken arm) and a massive influx of COVID-19-designated funding for police across the country. And, of course, Biden will be remembered as “Genocide Joe,” a president who helped fund the Israeli genocide of Palestinians in Gaza, its invasion of Lebanon, the bombing of Iran, Syria, and Yemen, and increased settler and military violence and killings of Palestinians in the West Bank. While the official death count in Gaza is at more than 43,000 since last October, several estimates put the deaths in the hundreds of thousands.
[...]
Harris promised no change or deviation from the sitting president to a country desperate for change. And Harris moved hard right on immigration and stumped with Liz Cheney and crowed about war criminal Dick Cheney’s endorsement. She stood by the U.S.-backed Israeli genocide of Palestinians, promised more of the same, and told anti-genocide protestors at her rallies to shut up because she wasn’t “done speaking.”
[...]
If you are newly radicalized this year and looking for grounding and a place to start, I recommend this piece by our friends at Waging Nonviolence. If you are radicalized by what you are witnessing in Palestine, I recommend that you find us and our colleagues across movement publications at Media Against Apartheid & Displacement.

6 and 15 for ikesoren?
Ooooh, yay! Another ikesoren ask. Thanks so much for submitting this, anon~
6. What would their dream home look like?
Nothing too fancy, of course! For them, I think the location matters more than the house itself.
I imagine that when they finally settle down, they choose a place in Hatari, near the Desert of Death, so that Mist and her family can come visit, but still in an obscure enough location that Ike isn’t being hounded with his admirers. Plus the dry heat of Hatari is great for Soren. I imagine that, because of his dragon blood, he gets cold really easily, and has a high tolerance to heat.
As for the house itself, it would have to be spacious enough for them and their hobbies (and any children/pets they might end up taking in), but not to the point where they have a bunch of extra space they aren’t using. In fact, they might start with a small cottage, and then Ike would learn to add on extra rooms as needed. Soren would need his own study, of course. And Ike would require a large yard so that he can practice his sword forms.
The house itself would be very basic, made of materials that are abundant in Hatari. As for decoration, I think it would be very minimalistic, but still tasteful. Soren has an eye for quality furniture and home goods, stuff that will last for generations and also fits the naturalistic aesthetic of their home.
I also like envisioning that they have a porch, so that they can be outside but still enjoy the shade. I imagine the sun in Hatari can get really harsh.
15. Do they face any pushback from friends, families, or society over their relationship?
From the Greil Mercs? For the most part, the answer is no.
I don’t imagine that Ike and Soren ever officially come out, but it’s not like their relationship is a secret, either.
Titania and Mist figure it out pretty quickly. Both of them are supportive, as they’ve been more or less anticipating Ike and Soren getting together at some point anyway, and they’re happy to see that their intuition was right.
The brothers are also supportive. I hc Oscar as bisexual, so I think he would try to be their queer role model. Boyd and Rolf are surprised at first, but they quickly learn to accept that Ike and Soren are in love, and actually have been in love for a while, so not much has changed.
Mia, I hc as aro/ace. She does not really understand the appeal of dating anyone, but she’s also not the type of person to judge other people. If Ike and Soren want to date, then that’s just fine by her!
With Rhys, I feel like Soren might worry about whether his religious upbringing will color his opinion of them, but in truth, Rhys very much ascribes to the belief system that everyone is deserving of love. He does not hold any prejudice against Ike and Soren.
As for Shinon and Gatrie… I think they would be the exception. Shinon doesn’t like either Ike or Soren anyway, and while he isn’t opposed to them dating, I think his avarice towards them might manifest in some vaguely homophobic language. And Gatrie is so misogynistic/girl crazy that he can’t conceive of any man who wouldn’t want to date a woman.
However, I still don’t think the pushback would be massive. Ike and Soren would just have to deal with Shinon’s snarky comments and Gatrie’s utter confusion.
As for society at large… I think they would cause quite a stir in Tellius if it became well-known that the Radiant Hero Ike is in a relationship with a man. They have this mental image of Ike in their heads, and for some, that might ruin the fantasy. They might feel hurt or betrayed (even tho Ike owes them nothing, but they would choose to ignore that.) So I think Soren works hard to ensure that they never have to worry about public backlash.
Thankfully, he doesn’t have to work too hard, because people will always assume that two men are just good friends before anything else.

SUBPLOT PREVIEW #1
hello again!! we're still working on getting everything finished and ready for you all and we've been getting some great apps that we're really excited about, so please keep them coming! invites for the discord server will be going out sometime this week (we'll post here when we send them out). in the meantime though, we're teasing our site subplots, one at a time, to hopefully get you thinking about plotting potential and maybe help with character ideas too! we'll likely have 6 total subplots, so keep an eye on the blog throughout the week for details on each one! ** all names are placeholders just for ease of reading the plot/character descriptions. most roles are gender-neutral and very open to allow the player freedom to create characters and slot them in to the subplot!
trust the process (subplot #1)
while filming the 28th season of well-loved reality series "the bachelor," a contestant gets romantically involved with a member of the show's crew, sending production into chaos and upsetting relationships among other contestants that were already on thin ice. claimable roles: "anna" / one of the 30 competitors vying for the affections of the show's lead, brad. though she has a strong connection with the him, she unexpectedly develops a romantic relationship of sorts with carey, a member of the show's crew, which they try and fail to keep a secret. "brad" / the show's lead ("the bachelor") who is looking for love. he has a strong connection with anna and has kept her around despite pushback from some of the others who are competing. "carey" / a member of the show's crew who becomes romantically involved with anna despite strict rules against doing so, and faces consequences and (perhaps for the first time) public backlash for it. "dylan" / the host of the show who eventually finds out about the affair and has to break the news to the bachelor (and later, to america). "eden" / another contestant who has butted heads with anna from the beginning and has been pushing the bachelor to get rid of her since early in the show. "freya" / another contestant who is anna's closest friend in the house and is the only person she confided in about the affair.

I'm answering these questions mostly through a "Luca" lens, but with some general stuff peppered in too.
My life on Tey/vat gets its spotlight here.
1. Which category of alterhumanity do you belong to?
Many. The main one that I'm open about is fictionkinity. Other categories I belong to that I'm public about are also more often than not tied to my fictionkinity somehow.
e.g. I consider myself "human but to the left" thanks to certain events of my canon.
2. What/who is/are your type(s)? (if you have any)
I have a few. On this blog, I talk mostly about being Luca Bal/sa.
3. Do you experience shifts? If so, can you tell us your most common shifts and your strangest cameo shift (if you've ever had a cameo shift)?
Yep, every so often. My most common shifts are between the two fictotypes I'm currently most in tune with.
I don't really experience cameo shifts, at least not often, so I'm not sure how well I could answer that. If it counts, I do sometimes spontaneously feel congruent with select official "AU" versions of myself, as well as with how I was portrayed in source (I'm canon divergent). Those may not be strange in the grand scheme of things, but they sure feel strange to me.
If you want a more detailed description of my Luca shifts, I wrote one here.
4. How do you experience your alterhumanity in everyday life?
It's simultaneously all-consuming and not enough.
Internally, it's so prevalent, and natural as breathing. I never have to think twice about my self-perception. There's a certain comfort to it. It's no longer shiny and new, it's just my life, and I couldn't be happier about that.
Outwardly, I think I water myself down too much. I have a bad habit of feeling apologetic, beating around the bush, or brushing things under the rug, even among supportive company.
This is partially out of caution. For all the attention its gotten lately, alterhumanity is still hardly understood. It's easy to be misinterpreted, or for my identity to be perceived as something that's not "serious". Sometimes I want to say outright, "This isn't something I'm 'doing', it's something I am. I'll be this for the rest of my life. Treat me as such."
Another part of it is wanting privacy. I'm very reserved, and my fictionkinity, for all its prevalence, is still tied to a lot of very personal stuff. It's easier to dance around the topic and play things off as a joke than it is to allude to having baggage, even if the latter is essential to knowing me.
Basically, I express it constantly and unabashedly both internally, and externally with my boyfriend. I'd like to work on it in other areas, in theory.
5. What do you think of the community?
It's so vast, and diverse. It's great to see so many different experiences being shared.
It does have its issues, as does any community. I think many in the alterhuman community, for all its diversity, ironically need to be more mindful of experiences outside of their perspective. Sometimes the language I see used by some reveals a blind spot in their perspective, or a bias, or that they've forgotten the existence of a certain demographic. I'm not immune to this, either. I hope we can continue civilly learning from each other to make the community a more welcoming and accommodating place.
Something I appreciate is the overall tone of radical acceptance in the community. The 'come as you are' attitude is very welcoming. We do have a bit of a respectability politics issue, but I see a lot of pushback against it in the circles I frequent, which is great. The hand that holds the muzzle is not the hand that feeds. Bite 'til you reach bone!
6. What are the things that make you most comfortable and euphoric in your alterhumanity?
Just treat me like me, lol. Nothing feels better than being called Luca, or my kintype being referred to as me without second thought.
7. Are you experiencing species dysphoria?
With regard to being Luca, not really, since I'm human. I do miss the "to the left" aspect of my humanity, though. I should be able to play in outlets. Give it back.
8. What advice would you like to say to a young alterhuman who has just awakened?
You will be confused. You will come to contradictory conclusions. Don't scramble to fit yourself into neat little boxes — experience life first, and think about labels as you go along.
And on labels: they're optional. They're tools that are supposed to help you make sense of your experiences, not criteria you're obligated to meet to be "real". If you find none of them help, or that they change over time, or that you switch between using and not using labels, that's okay and allowed.
Oh yeah, and even if it's tempting, don't try and throw yourself or others under the bus to appear "normal" or "palatable". None of us are truly free to express ourselves until all of us are.
Live authentically, and stay curious and openminded! Both with yourself and others.
9. Do you have/want to have gears?
Sure, that sounds fun! I don't have anything I'd consider "gear" that's related to my identity as Luca, but I'd like to.
In general, all I really have are materials. I have the means to make a yarn tail, but have yet to start it.
10. Do you know/have any theories about the origin of your alterhumanity? If so, tell us! (all beliefs are legitimate)
Nothing concrete, but I do believe my origins are a mix of metaphysical, psychological, and something else entirely. I don't subscribe strongly to the dichotomy, as doing so doesn't serve me.
If you want to learn more...
Here's a link to a post where I go into detail about the spiritual aspects of my fictionkinity.
Here's a link to a post where I go into detail about the psychological aspects of my fictionkinity.
11. Tag someone/a creature to answer these questions!ㅤᵕ̈
...I think anyone I would have felt confident enough to tag has already been tagged BAHAHA
I don't think I know any mutuals well enough to gauge whether being tagged in this kind of thing would bother them, but any who see this, please do feel free to do this :]

The other actors have every right to not want to speak about whatever they don’t want to speak about. It’s not censorship because famous people don’t want to give trump attention // So you're giving them the benefit of the doubt in a way you're not giving Sebastian - you're assuming they don't want to talk about it because they don't want to give him attention, which is clearly not true. I don't have anything against Andrew Garfield I'm using him as an example because someone else brought him up, but he has talked about Trump before, negatively. Was that done solely because he wanted to give him attention? In 2016-2020 celebs were shitting on him nonstop, many of them doing it from awards stages. Was that done solely because they wanted to give him attention?
If it was censorship the movie never would have happened or been released and he wouldn’t have done any promotion. // I'm guessing you missed the whole situation with how this movie came out, because they've very openly talked about how it kept getting stopped. They started this in 2018/2019, and studios kept ducking from it, and then it picked up steam when he lost in 2020, and after Jan 6 they ducked from it again. The only studio that would pick it up is a tiny studio that had to start a Kickstarter to raise funds to get it into theaters. This movie exists despite all the pushback and attempts at censoring.
I don’t care about a movie about trump, I would not watch it because I don’t want to watch a movie about trump I also wouldn’t want to talk about a movie about trump or trump himself. It’s not how I would want to spend my time which is what is happening right now. This is the last ask about it because again I don’t want to talk about trump. And again did the movie change anything? Did it save us from another four years of trump? No so they should have saved themselves money.
And was I wrong? Yes and I said that, more information came out and my OPINION was wrong. I never said he lied I just said he was using it as publicity

hi 🌻 what's the backlash about lottie and lewis' relationship that's she's talking about in her book? I wasn't here back then. thanks ❤️
Hiya Lovely,
So, during the intro of Lottie and Lewis' relationship, I was not part of the fandom either, though there are things I have picked up in the past year to give you a generalization.
First, Lewis is 6 years older than Lottie and is known for a few other things than being Lottie's baby daddy. He was a former tennis player and model for most of his twenties. He's 32 now. Lottie isn't his only slightly well-known love interest. Before she died in 2020, Lewis was with Caroline Flack (yes, the same Caroline Flack that 'dated' Harry in 2011), she was 40 and he was 28. She was even arrested in 2020 for allegedly assaulting him before she died.
Much of the pushback was probably due to how they started dating at the end of 2020 when he was expected to still be grieving his ex-girlfriend. They also probably dealt with backlash over the fact that it seemed like any care he had for Caroline seemed to gone way too quickly for the public's liking. also, he was 28 and dating a 22-year-old who happened to be the sister of Louis Tomlinson.

Andrew Yang Is Either Smoking Something or Working to Get Back Into the Dem Party's Good Graces
Remember Andrew Yang? We barely do. Yang made a big splash in the 2020 Democrat primary as a fresh-faced Millennial who could unify the two factions of the Democrat Party and maybe even the nation. Once the Democrat Party divested themselves of such nonsense and anointed former VP Joe Biden as the nominee, Yang tried to parlay his unity politics into a run for New York Mayor but was once again rejected. In 2021, he left the Democrat Party, wrote a "Dear John" letter, and registered as an Independent.
My goal is to do as much as I can to advance our society. There are phenomenal public servants doing great work every day – but our system is stuck. It is stuck in part because polarization is getting worse than ever. Many of the people I know are doing all of the good they can – but their impact is constrained. Now that I’m not a member of one party or another, I feel like I can be even more honest about both the system and the people in it.
In 2022, Yang attempted to translate these noble aims and outsider momentum into "The Forward Party." Yang was convinced that a combination of Open Primaries and Ranked Choice Voting was the key to reforming the two-party system. His third-party efforts made a big splash but ultimately went nowhere. With the demand for a greater focus on election integrity and the horrible results from Ranked Choice Voting in places like Alaska, Maine, and New York, that concept, as well as open primaries, has been receiving greater pushback and has fallen out of favor. To put a finer point on it, so has Yang. Just like the "No Labels" party, Yang's unified goals, common ground schtick is of little interest to the American people. They want leaders who will actually uphold the Constitution and civil liberties, who will focus on all Americans and not just special interest groups, and they want their leaders to actually lead, not seek consensus.
But like every wannabe, also-ran, and hanger-on who has been surrounding Democrat Party politics, it has not stopped him from weighing in on whether Joe Biden should step down, as my colleague Levon Satamian wrote about on Thursday. Satamian included an X post from Yang that read, "You know if there had been Democratic primary debates we might have figured this out 6 months ago. #swapJoeout" Kind of an odd take, since a Democrat primary did nothing to keep them from anointing Biden as the nominee in 2020. His post received the appropriate ratio, this one doing a good job of unmasking Yang's real motives.
Bingo. But not just struggling for relevance, struggling to get back on the inside track of the Democrat Party. If that post didn't confirm his obsequiousness, another post Yang made hours later confirmed the dark stain on his nose.
If Joe Biden does step aside he would immediately go down as one of the greatest Presidents of all time - and his legacy would be one of personal triumph and nobility. #swapJoeout
First thought: What is he smoking and where can it be purchased? The Wall Street Silver account beat us to it.
Other commenters were far less vague. WARNING: The imagery is a tad graphic.
Yang trying to play both ends against the middle was also not lost on the X-verse. If the Democrat Party Yang left is so broken, then how can the head of the party, who is too incapacitated to get through a debate, ever be considered a great leader? Make it make sense.
And then there are the shattered illusions. Their populist idol has been found to have feet of clay.
If it means that Yang can get a seat at the table under the new Democrat regime, with or without Biden, then he'll say whatever he needs to. It's clear he was promised something and is just one of the many barbarians at the gate in this bloodless coup. Unsurprising, but sad nonetheless.

Poland’s Interior Ministry on Thursday morning reintroduced an exclusion zone covering about 60 kilometres of the country’s border with Belarus, a restriction that will initially last for up to 90 days.
Media and humanitarian workers will only be able to access the area after getting permission from the Border Guard, the government announced.
In practice, however, the requirement to obtain a permit effectively limits the ability of media and NGOs to reach migrants in problematic situations, when they are sick or being pushed back from the border by Polish authorities.
The buffer zone will cover key locations where migrants have been most intensely crossing the border since 2021, when this new migration route began to be used.
In most cases, the buffer zone is 200 metres from the border, but in others – including in the area of the Bialowieza National Park – it will be as wide as 2 kilometres.
After initially announcing a ban in May, Prime Minister Donald Tusk said it would cover a stretch of land of “more or less 200 meters”.
However, when the Interior Ministry later published a first draft of the regulation, locals and activists noted that in some areas the buffer zone was to be as wide as 5 kilometres.
Following protests by locals and others, who argued that the ban would negatively affect the lives of locals, tourism as well as the possibility to bring humanitarian aid to the migrants stuck on the border, the government organised public consultations and eventually restricted the buffer zone to what it called “the minimum necessary”.
Rafal Kowalczyk, a biologist living in the Bialowieza area and head of the Mammal Research Institute at the Polish Academy of Science, speaking to Gazeta Wyborcza, said any buffer zone “will make the lives of locals, our lives, more difficult, scare tourists away and make providing help to the migrants more difficult”.
Tusk argues that the buffer zone is necessary to protect Poland’s border, with numbers of migrants trying to enter the EU via the Belarus-Poland border on the rise again this spring.
The prime minister says this poses a security threat to Poland, with Russia and Belarus organising migrants to storm the border as part of its hybrid war with the West.
“Those are not refugees, those are less and less migrants, families, poor people needing help,” Tusk said in May. “In 80 per cent of cases, these are organised groups of men, aged 18-30, very aggressive.”
Tusk announced the exclusion zone one day after Polish authorities said that a soldier was hospitalised after being attacked with a knife by a migrant on the border. The soldier died on June 6.
But humanitarian NGOs providing help to migrants on the border argue that Poland should respect international law and give migrants the right to apply for asylum.
According to the NGO Grupa Granica, the new government has been responsible for over 4,000 pushbacks at the border since coming to power, based on data provided daily by the Polish Border Guard on the number of prevented illegal entries into the country.
A similar exclusion zone was introduced by the previous, Law and Justice, PiS, government in September 2021, at the start of the migration crisis on the border.
At the time, this was widely criticised by human rights lawyers, including the Polish Ombudsman Adam Bodnar, currently justice minister in Tusk’s government. He has remained silent on the matter since the new government announced re-introducing the zone.
In 2022, Poland’s Supreme Court acquitted journalists charged for having entered the zone, ruling that the exclusion zone had been too wide and should not have included journalists doing their job.
On June 4, protests against the exclusion zone took place in several locations across Poland. In the border area itself, locals did a “civil walk” inside what they knew would be banned areas. In Warsaw, activists organised a protest during a march planned by Tusk in the run-up to the European Parliament elections.

Under the new policy, customers will be charged a fixed monthly fee in exchange for a reduction in the overall price of electricity. This move aims to lower electricity rates for households in California, which currently have some of the highest rates in the country. The fixed charge will vary depending on the utility provider and income bracket, with most customers facing a fee of $24. Lower-income households may qualify for discounted fees of either $6 or $12. The decision by the California Public Utilities Commission has sparked a heated debate among various stakeholders. While supporters argue that the change is necessary to lower electricity rates and align with the state's environmental goals, opponents fear that it may discourage energy conservation efforts and hurt rooftop solar customers. The shift in billing policy represents a departure from traditional pay-as-you-go billing practices, with the aim of encouraging electrification in California. However, critics raise concerns about the potential impact on certain consumer groups and the overall state grid. Overall, the new billing structure will have winners and losers. Large electricity users and low-income households are likely to benefit, while smaller households, energy-conscious customers, and solar panel owners may see their utility bills increase. The move has also faced criticism from the rooftop solar industry, which has been hit with regulatory changes in recent years. Despite the pushback, the California Public Utilities Commission remains committed to implementing the new billing policy as part of its efforts to balance utility costs and promote electrification. The decision is seen as a step towards addressing the state's climate goals and reducing electricity rates for consumers. Legal Response to Florida’s Legislation on Transgender Rights: An Early Sign of What is to Come?
By Kensington Jones, New York University Class of 2025
October 16, 2023
Transgender rights seem to be becoming more and more controversial in recent years with new legislation emerging in certain states regarding the topic. Florida, in particular, has seen an increase in legislation regarding transgender rights which has resulted in a large response from local communities. For example, this past Saturday, October 7th, 2023, activists gathered in Orlando, Florida to protest against recent legislation in Florida that they feel negatively impacts transgender youth [1]. In addition to this political response, there has also been a legal response. Transgender rights activists are now challenging Florida’s new legislation on transgender rights on the legal stage through lawsuits, and similar legal challenges may be awaiting Florida if similar legislation follows in the future.
Before the protest, several activists initiated a lawsuit arguing that recent legislation passed regarding transgender rights was unconstitutional [2]. The law they specifically targeted was House Bill 1521, also known as Fla. Stat. §553.865. However, Florida has pushed other legislation that may have added to the tensions concerning the march and the lawsuit. For instance, Florida’s Senate Bill 254 which went into effect in May this year, effectively blocks minors from receiving treatments for sex reassignment such as hormone replacement therapy (HRT) and any sex reassignment-related surgeries [3]. Not much longer after, Florida passed House Bill 1069, infamously known as the “Don’t Say Gay” bill, which prevents instruction on gender identity and sexuality in schools from pre-kindergarten to 8th grade [4]. Another bill passed alongside House Bill 1521 and House Bill 1069 was Senate Bill 1438, which punishes businesses for admitting underage individuals into adult live performances or drag shows [8]. Additionally, the activists themselves address a few examples of bills in their lawsuit they believe negatively impact transgender individuals. These examples include House Bill 0007 and House Bill 1557, which restrict what teachers can instruct on— one of the bills specifically banning instruction on transgender history [2]. Thus while this most recent protest and lawsuit centered primarily on a single bill, there has been a history of similar bills around the area of transgender rights that helped fuel this movement.
Regarding House Bill 1521, also referred to as the “bathroom ban,” it bans transgender individuals from using the bathroom and changing facilities that align with their gender identity. Furthermore, if someone were to enter a public bathroom that does not align with their sex assigned at birth and refuse to leave when asked to do so, they could face legal repercussions, as such actions under this law are considered public trespassing [5]. However, activists at Saturday’s rally had several qualms about this. Their main argument against the legislation was that it violated a fundamental right of theirs: their right to freedom of speech [2].
A central complaint of these activists is that this legislation prevents them from expressing their gender identity, which they argue is a government violation of their right to freedom of speech. They point to the First and Fourth Amendments to support their claim that this law is unconstitutional.
[2]Challenge to the Constitutionality of Florida Statute § 553.865 (2023)
The activists also filed a motion for a temporary restraining order as they believed that the legislation directly interfered with their right to protest.
[2]Challenge to the Constitutionality of Florida Statute § 553.865 (2023)
While the temporary restraining order was denied the day before the march, it is important to note what the pushback for this legislation may mean for the future [6].
Marches conducted by LGBTQIA+ activists in response to legislation are not new to Florida. In April this year, hundreds of activists came together to protest some of the legislation mentioned previously such as House Bill 1069, House Bill 1521, and Senate Bill 1438 [7]. If large-scale political protests are becoming more common in response to this issue, who is to say that legal responses will not start becoming more common as well? It may be possible that in the future legal pushback to Florida legislation on this topic may be more commonplace.
