Way to make your DM & entire party hate you instantly in one turn: 7lvls of Arcane Trickster + 2lvls of Fighter, fire resistance, boots of haste, and a wand of fireballs.

Fireball, hasted action, fireball, action surge, fireball, hasted action, fireball = 32d6 fire

Meanwhile fire resistance, evasion, hasted advantage on dex saves, and a rogue's normally very high dex means you take no (or at least VERY little even if you roll terribly) fire damage no matter how small the room.

Plus, if you time it right the first fireball could also be a 4d6 sneak attack as a lvl7 Rogue.

And even without a wand of fireballs and boots of haste, you could still cast two fireballs in one turn with no risk of damage to yourself using this build once you get to lvl 13 Arcane Trickster.

I’m preparing for artfight I wanted to redesign an old fav of mine! Hoax the arcane trickster! I’ll need to make some references of their slight face patterns but after all these year I finally got him someplace I really like! They’ve been a struggle in the past cause I found rendering white skin a challenge and couldn’t quite get the vibes right but were finally here!

(Also I wanted to draw my favorite feywild x shadowfell pairing in honor of pride month so Hoax needed an update haha💜)

D&D 5.5: The New Rogue

This being a promo video, everything of course sounds peachy, and only changes that give players more power/options are mentioned.

That said, if they haven't veered off from the latest Unearthed Arcana version (which managed to excite me! see here), this should be a fantastic improvement all around.

Except Stealth mechanics. (They're not mentioned in the video, I'm only judging from UA.). I swear there's a dark curse on D&D and we just can't have good, elegant, and intuitive stealth mechanics in this game.

Despite Her upper class upbringing Zelda never felt at home in her mothers distant care, at 16 she left to the lower streets where she found a family in a pack of thieves. Now 7 years later having just lost her friends in a mission gone awry, she finds herself on a ship with a mushroom man, vampire, city guard turned ship captain, a wareracoon Kinder and a Dark urge to fulfill a wizards spell books wishes in trade for power,

I have been playing D&D for 10+ years and shes my first female character I have played. I love her and to what she has kinda opened my eyes about myself.

As a cis male its been a bit of a struggle letting go of my own inner toxic masculine voice and with barely accepting the Bisexual side of myself, Zelda has been a great catalyst in exploring the more feminine side of my mind.

Eldritch Knight fighters should be able to learn the smite spells like thundering smite and wrathful smite that are normally exclusive to paladins.

And Arcane Trickster rogues should be able to learn the ranger spells like zephyr strike and ensnaring strike
