Preptober 2024 - Day 6

What would be the easiest way to write this story?

I actually have a structured plot this time with an ordered list of scenes sorted into three acts. AND I know the ending, unlike the last two times lol

50k in 17 Days!!!

Well, I did it! Not only did I finish the 50k challenge, I did it in only 17 days! Thanks to my AMAZING writing community that kept me going and cheering me on, and my best friend @eldritchflowerwriter who went temporarily insane with me and did 12k in a day at my side, I managed to finish the 50k challenge super early!

So what does that mean for this project? Well, it's not done yet, for sure. My goal for WallpaperWIP is to finish around 80k words for the first draft, and I'm well on my way! I've still been working on the book throughout the month even if I finished early, and I am hoping to finish my last 30k before the end of November. I am currently sitting at around 68k, so right now that goal is looking pretty doable!

After that, I plan on chucking it at my CP so he can brutally tear it apart as much as possible during December-January while I'm working on finalizing UtDM. Then, I'll start draft 2! It's coming along way faster than I ever hoped it would, and I am both terrified and excited to have it ready for your hands!

holy shit i've spent the past four real life days trying to beat a minigame in stardew valley and i couldn't beat it until today i was doing it and i zoned out while thinking really hard about the logistics of vengestone production and distribution prior to the events of crystalized and i beat it moral of the story zone out and think about a very specific aspect of ninjago you can accomplish anything

Hi my love!! Yes, Mr. LB and I moved to the English countryside in October and it's been wonderful! We live in this cute little village right off the back of a little farm 🥰

I've also been participating in my own little nanowrimo challenge this month (though not officially through nanowrimo after the whole AI debacle) and that's been consuming all of my reserve freetime but I'm almost there!!! Less than 4k words to go!! help me im so tired

I’ve actually written more than is on here. Because I haven’t counted the sentences of my other fics in this. The reason for that is, I’m trying to add the 50k to Brew & Biscuit. Anything else is just a happy bonus!

But I’m very happy with the result so far and we are on track!

I'm only gonna keep talking about these characters for the rest of the month so I may as well share a bit of info!

RK the Werewolf

"Oh that? That's RK! Y'know, because he almost became roadkill on the front of my Tahoe the other night."

On the run from the only pack he's ever known, RK collides with the human world one fateful night - literally. Fearful of everything but with nowhere else to go, he remains in his wolf form and takes a chance on the human that hit him in the first place.

Levi Hawkins

His dark hair was not long enough to fall over his eyes but still long enough to be terribly mussed from sleep. One sleeve of his shirt had pulled up, exposing the length of his wrist and the tanned skin that disappeared behind the fabric. He was … attractive. I could not deny that.

Hitting a wolf with his car was not something he intended, but that single event will change Levi's life forever. He's a practical man, a fixer, so he does what he can to fix the wolf up and give him time to heal. But the wolf heals faster than should be possible, and Levi is too intrigued to let him go.

Serena Oakley

"Well, I suppose that's fair," Serena begrudgingly agreed. "As annoying as you are, the world would be a darker place without your ugly mug in it."

The last thing Serena expects is to get woken from her sleep with the news that Levi has hit a dog. But when the dog turns out to be a wolf with broken bones that heal overnight, she knows there is far more to this wolf than meets the eye. After all, she has secrets of her own.
