Omg I only just realised Connor (sperm baby man Connor) was in Buck Begins.

He’s the one at the bar that says Buck should go to LA.

My brain never made the connection before 😅🤪.

I just thought Connor in S6 was a random guy from Buck’s past they randomly introduced (and he still kinda is lol but not so random as it turns out 😂)

Maddie + Buck sibling supremacy 😭😭

Few points on this episode:

- A lot of things make so much sense about Buck now. His abandonment issues, specifically.

- The part of the episode where Buck is trying to lift that giant thing off of the guy he’s trying to save, and he momentarily gives up and just cries…and then the team comes and helps him?? I’m sorry but that is the singular best scene of the entire show. The. Entire. Show. Found family is my FAVORITE thing ever, and that was such a good show of it. I expected them to be mad at him (as they usually are when he does stupid stuff) but them being supportive at such a vulnerable moment was PEAK family behavior 😭😭 I will never fkn recover.

- Good LORD. This is such an angsty episode, and that’s coming from a show where basically every team member has some deep trauma/angst in their background. Buck is such a beautifully written character too, and I cannot get over how much character development he’s gotten since his intro in the first episode. I’m so impressed.

- Maddie shouldn’t have kept that secret from him his entire life, but god. How do you even tell your kid brother that his entire existence spawned from the diagnosis of a different brother that didn’t even survive? I understand where she’s coming from.

Okay, off to recover by drowning myself in sugar :) GREAT EPISODE.

rewatching 2x18: this life we choose and thinking about ali asking buck to stop being a firefighter so she doesn’t have to see him get hurt again. compared to 4x05: buck begins and eddie’s waiting to see if buck’s okay after he risked his life to save that man and buck says “i had to do it” and eddie responds with a fond smile, “i know you did”

Buck Begins all the way! I mean the powerhouse that is Oliver Stark and Jennifer Love Hewitt playing Buck and Maddie is unfathomable. It was a hard, painful episode but at the end of the day it was an episode about unconditional love. The love Buck and Maddie have for each other is endless and this episode just demonstrated that so well. Plus that scene of the fire fam pulling on the rope gives me chills every time.
