I just think it's so depressing how much natural hair is associated with struggling, and how many people opt to perming and damaging their hair as opposed to taking the time to learn to love their hair the way it grows. And then make people who promote wearing their hair natural out to be controlling when they aren't. I especially hate how this narrative is used to fuel capitalism, and buying 60 different products "guaranteed to grow your hair". I don't know. I have a lot of thoughts on this. I'm just tired.

what’s the difference between a bonnet and a durag?
I’m happy to answer this question! I would say that a durag is more commonly used by people with shorter hair in order to protect their hair from damage. A lot of men use it to get a hairstyle commonly known as “waves”, which gives the hair a very smooth-looking texture.
A bonnet, on the other hand, is more commonly used by people with longer hair in order to protect their hair from damage. Bonnets come in different sizes depending on how much hair the user has.
Both bonnets and durags are often worn during the nighttime, but some people also wear them around or outside of their house as well.
Additionally, a durag tends to be replaceable with a bonnet, but not the other way around. Bonnets have an elastic band in the seam made to fit around the head, whereas durags are much smaller and less flexible.
If you’re looking for something to wear during the nighttime in order to protect your hair from damage, I’d definitely suggest investing in a bonnet.
I hope this helps!
