it's friday... where are the new chapters of Burden of the Reluctant Death?
since we wrapped act 1 last week, i decided to pause for this week and get ahead on editing/get set up for my november writing challenge so. no new chapters today
BUT! chapters 10 and 11 will be out next friday! in the meantime, here's a snippet from chapter 10 (Rosalie POV):
"Twenty three steady heartbeats, not including your own." He tilts his head. "Ms. Miller has a murmur, though. Might want to get that checked out." My pulse is anything but steady, but if he notices, he's kind enough not to mention it. "Then why are you here?" "For you," he says like I asked if a snake has knees. In a dizzying exhale, I realize that I'm alone (Jeremy is probably upstairs, but how quickly could he make it to the lobby if I screamed?) with a strange man (a man that claims to be a supernatural entity, so double strange and half man). Reading my expression, or more likely the increase in my heartrate given the previously offered information, he shows me his palms. "Not like that." He flinches. "Or like that." He's been forthcoming enough, so I wait. "It must get lonely," he explains, gesturing to the room, the linoleum floors and plastic plants, "being here all night by yourself." "I manage," I say, and it's true. I manage, badly. This, apparently, is the wrong thing to say. His throat jerks as he swallows hard. "I'm only offering company." He lowers his hands but keeps his distance. "If you want me gone, I'll go." "Company," I repeat, incredulous. He nods, casting a glance over his shoulder and then back at me. "The grim reaper wants to keep me company." Fitting, if nothing else. "A grim— " He shakes his head. "Yes."

The Witcher Headcanon (Modern Au) - Error 404 Brain Not Found: Bonus Scene - Part 21
Jaskier hadn't meant to kick Geralt, but they had started playing around while cleaning out Van Roach, and things had gotten carried away. Jaskier had accidentally tagged Geralt in the danglers.
Geralt had grunted, and fixed Jaskier with a sharp glare.
"Sorry!" Jaskier apologized, fluttering around him, "Are you okay?"
"I'm fine" Geralt had sniffed, straightening up as if nothing had happened.
"That didn't hurt you?"
*derisive snort* "Not really."
"But I kicked you pretty hard! You should be doubled over, or your eyes should at least be watering a little!"
"I'm a Witcher. We have a higher pain tolerance."
"So you could get kicked in the klackers and just keep going?"
"Hm."
"How many times?"
"What?" Geralt asked, confused by the question.
"How many times do you think you could get kicked in the balls before you couldn't get back up?"
"I don't know."
"Wanna find out?"
Geralt should have just told Jaskier to shut up, and gone about his business. It was a stupid question, and his sense of self-preservation was pointing frantically at the giant warning sign reading 'DANGER! Bad Idea!'.
But the intrusive thoughts whispered, 'That's a really good question. How many times do you think it would take?'
"Sure," Geralt said, giving in to his own curiosity, "Why the h*ll not?"
Geralt stood by the van and braced himself. He grunted as Jaskier's foot hit him dead center in the sack. It hurt, but it wasn't anything he couldn't shake off. The pain quickly faded to a bad memory. That was one. He snorted at Jaskier, "Your Grannie kicks harder!"
The second kick had a little more force behind it, but to Jaskier's astonishment, Geralt remained on his feet.
Jaskier put a little more effort into the third kick. And maybe just a wee bit of revenge for The Mountain Divorce.
"That felt a little personal," Geralt remarked, after taking a minute to breathe and walk around.
"I don't know what you mean." Jaskier retorted innocently.
"That's okay, I barely felt anything, but it's not your fault," Geralt said mildly, "You're just a human."
"oHh-hOho, let's see how your swingers handle this one *kicks Geralt*, ya cocky b**tart!"
The count slowly climbed higher. Jaskier was impressed. A human would have been down for the count after a kick or two to the clockweights. This was definitely ballad material!
Yennefer was sitting in the kitchen, enjoying her morning tea, when she heard a pained grunt from outside. That had sounded like Geralt. Yennefer's Dumba** Alarm started beeping. She stood and went to the kitchen window to take a peek outside.
Geralt was slowly standing back up, pausing a few times in a way that suggested something was paining him. Was he hurt? Yennefer breathed a sigh of relief when Geralt finally stood upright. He looked okay now. He was talking to Jaskier, and the bard didn't appear to be worried.
He nodded to something Jaskier said, and as Yennefer watched in shock, Jaskier gripped him by the shoulders and kicked him sharply in the fork.
Yennefer almost dropped her cup. Seconds later she was slamming out the backdoor, and charging across the yard.
"Julian Alfred Pankratz!"
Jaskier gibbered and did a little dancing run, trying to keep away from the angry witch as she chased him around the yard.
Yennefer *chasing his a** down*: "Come here, you little w*nker!"
Jaskier: *running, dodging, yelling*
Jaskier tripped over the garden hose and went down with a startled scream. Yennefer was on him in a flash, pining him face down on the ground with a hand on the back of his neck.
"He ToLd mE tO!" Jaskier's voice was a bit muffled by the grass and dirt his face was being shoved into.
"Bullsh*t," Yennefer snapped, "No one asks to be kicked in the wrinkle berries!"
"He did, Ah swear!" Jaskier, wailed.
Yennefer looked at Geralt for confirmation.
Geralt: *affirmative 'Hmm'*
"Are you f***ing serious?"
Yennefer looked back and forth between Geralt and Jaskier. They both nodded. Well, Geralt nodded. Jaskier just did an awkward wiggle with his head.
*let's Jaskier up* "Why???"
"Hmm. Hm, hmm, hm."
"You 'wanted to see how many times you could get kicked in the nads before you couldn't get back up'?"
Her eyes narrowed as she regarded them both mutely for a few minutes. It was a calculating look that Jaskier had seen before.
The silence was broken as Yennefer asked, "How many are you up to?"
"Er, about six? Seven?" Jaskier said, looking at Geralt
"Seven," Geralt said, not sure if he should feel proud, or very, very afraid.
Jaskier: *grinning at Yennefer*
Yennefer: *grinning at Jaskier*
Geralt: *sweating nervously*
Uh-oh. Chaotic Sibling Mode activated. He should definitely be very, very afraid.
Yennefer made a thoughtful sound, then kicked Geralt right in the balls.
"Eight," Jaskier said happily while Geralt glared at them and uncurled to get back on his feet.
Yennefer *kicking him again*: "Nine!"
Unlucky number thirteen was the kick that finally 'shelled Geralt's nuts' , as Jaskier put it.
Yennefer helped Jaskier get Geralt to his feet, saying "Come on, my brave little dumba** trooper, *pats his a** *, you've definitely earned a popsicle!"
"Two," Jaskier corrected her, "one for each baw".
Geralt 'Hmm'ed' in agreement and let them help him inside.

dating poly!woosang
part 4/7 of the poly!atz series (it’s been extended!); nsfw at the end :3 | taglist: @nari-nim
a peaceful time?? with woosang???
unfortunately, the number you have dialed is no longer in service
you knowingly got into a relationship with two people who can’t shut up about their 8 YEAR FRIENDSHIP
so this is technically your fault
or so wooyoung claims....
Kang Yeosang
a little bridge troll
will openly gag when someone says that he and wooyoung make a cute couple but then will stew and marinate in his self-doubt when it hits 1pm and wooyoung still hasn’t given him his stupid good morning kiss yet
tends to stick to your side like glue and as long as he’s holding on to SOME part of your body, his head will turn this way and that all day to look for your third
but also will deny it to DEATH if you call him out on it
he doesn’t like when you bring up his and wooyoung’s 8 year friendship because he doesn’t want you to feel left out
but also uses it as an excuse to get away with SO MUCH shit
whenever he wants to pull a prank on wooyoung and needs to convince you to turn a blind eye on the fact that he’s buying 25 rolls of gift wrapping paper, he’ll distract you by taking you through the long-suffering story of their precious EiGhT yEaR FrIeNdShIp all over again
the dollarama cashier: 👁👄👁
you find out at the same time as wooyoung 2 weeks later that yeosang had used those 25 rolls of gift wrap to wrap EVERYTHING in wooyoung’s room, including his BED
will run to you snickering gleefully as soon as wooyoung starts screaming
cue the prank war that shaves 5 years off your lifespan every time you find out one of them decided to get revenge
you’re literally dating tom and jerry
you complained about it once but then they both started fighting over which one of them was jerry
doesn’t hold grudges
but also doesn’t hold back on being savage
views you as wooyoung’s greatest weakness so he will NOT hesitate to use you as collateral damage in The Prank War™
needs some serious convincing for him to realize that wooyoung’s greatest weakness is also equal parts HE HIMSELF
once he realizes, starts using himself as prank war collateral
and that’s when you realize yeosang has ZERO sense of self-preservation
gen z existential dread jokes
uses dark humour casually
a driving wooyoung, screaming, almost runs someone over
yeosang in the passenger seat, deadpan: “that’s fifty points for gryffindor!”
but despite his trolling, is actually really sweet when it counts
will take you to a quiet park for a picnic date where he will proceed to nap on you until your leg circulation cuts off
will drag you and wooyoung to his favourite chicken restaurant so he can have all three of his favourite things at once
will make going for ice cream at the nearby convenience store late at night ✨a date✨
HOWEVER, when he’s not hanging out with just the two of you or if you’re hanging out in a group that he’s unfamiliar with, he turns SHY!!
ERROR 404: savage yeosang not found
the MILLISECOND shy introvert yeosang needs protecting, The Prank War™ gets put on hold
ENTER WOOYOUNG: fierce protector of all things yeosang
these two are at that level of unspoken trust where yeosang will trust wooyoung to speak FOR him
and that’s a level of trust that is NOT easily attainable
if some rando tries to talk to yeosang during a party, they basically just end up talking to wooyoung no cap
despite yeosang’s usual independence, will 100% need his hand held during a party
if you let go, he WILL die
uses wooyoung as his extrovert shield
uses you as his social battery charging dock
strangers usually make the assumption that you’re either dating yeosang or dating wooyoung, but connecting the dots between wooyoung and yeosang??? it’s less likely than u think
at the same time, those two have been caught making out in the bathroom more times than you have fingers
literally never says “i love you” or any version of it except when someone questions your relationship
he just trusts that you know, and you do know, right? 🥺
it’s SO RARE hearing it from him that even you two are surprised when you do
-cue some random insulting wooyoung at a party-
yeosang: “hey! that’s my boyfriend”
stranger: “huh?”
wooyoung: “HUH??” *heart eyes*
100% tsundere
he cares about both of you a LOT, but constantly struggles to show it
also struggles to use the big L word (love)
however, his love language is ABSOLUTELY quality time
so even though he doesn’t say it often or hold your hand a lot or drape himself all over you all the time the way wooyoung does, he ALWAYS makes sure he’s close to you
will hold the door open for you and the 8 other people behind you before he gets sick of it and just slams the door shut on the 9th person
then he’ll run in tiny so he can catch up to you
feels almost homesick when neither you or wooyoung are around
wooyoung is literally his oldest friend, his anchor, his soulmate, even if he has a hard time expressing it
and you, you’re his best friend, and the one that makes his heart catch fire
how can he live without you two??
never wants to be an inconvenience so he sometimes holds back, especially when he’s feeling insecure and insignificant and he’ll bottle that shit up until he breaks down in the bathroom
especially with wooyoung, yeosang tends to get disheartened over how easily he’s able to open up around other people and how much time he spends with his other friends
but he’s also the type that will NEVER voice it. he’d rather die thanks
so you’re often the in-between for the both of them - the peanut butter and jelly between two pieces of toast
when you finally shove nudge wooyoung in the right direction, the both of them become INSEPARABLE for the next few days, yeosang becoming so SMOTHERED in love he can barely stand it by day 4
you know it’s reached that point when yeosang shows up at your bedside when it’s time to sleep and asks if you can hide him
cue wooyoung DIVE BOMBING into your bed and right on top of yeosang at 4am in the morning, shrieking and wiggling around and ignoring both your moans of complaint until you’re both suffocating under his armpits
and then much to your fond exasperation, it’s back to The Prank War™
can sometimes be oblivious as hell
but the SECOND he figures out that either of you (or both) want to do something more than kisses with him, he gets red and FLUSTERED AS HELL and doesn’t know what to do with himself
and THAT exact moment is the moment evil horny wooyoung lives for
yeosang is a double-edged sword - savage with his tongue but somehow still so soft and innocent
and his soft and innocent side is the side only you two get to see
all his life, he’s found it really difficult to open up and let people in
so it’s really special that the two of you are among the few who’ve been allowed to bear witness to the deepest parts of himself ❤️
but then you slowly start to realize that the longer the three of you are in a relationship, the more and more corrupt yeosang is becoming...
the realization hits you like a wall of bricks when one day, yeosang starts giving you wooyoung-style bedroom eyes
and that, ladies and gentlemen, is the first time wooyoung ever got a tv remote control to the face before he could even walk through the front door
Jung Wooyoung
chaotic evil
despite claiming to be jerry, he is 1000% tom (sorry wooyoung)
his only purpose in life is to bother the fuck out of you and yeosang
or so yeosang claims...
but one time, wooyoung went back to visit his parents for a weekend and the two of you were L O S T
there was:
no one attempting to suffocate you in the morning through the sheer force of their thigh muscles
no one ripping open the shower curtain while you’re in there and ignoring your screaming just to tell you you’re out of cool ranch doritos
no one staring at you seductively from the couch in a “paint me like one of your french girls” pose as soon as you open the front door
it was a weird fucking time
but also:
no one to cook you all of your favourite dishes when you’re feeling down in the dumps
no one to chase the ice cream truck with you around the entire neighbourhood just for you to realize you both forgot your wallets
and then no one to slut drop into a sexy dance for the ice cream truck man for a popsicle worth $2
no yeosang screaming for you from the bedroom for help while a cackling wooyoung presses him down with his full weight and tries to give him a hickey
wooyoung enters your life so unapologetically, like a tornado through a room, that whenever he’s not with you, the silence is deafening
SURPRISE KISSES, EVERYWHERE, ALL THE TIME
but instead of smacking a kiss onto your cheek, he likes to do it right over your ear because it’s THAT much more annoying
already lost in The Prank War™ 14 weeks ago but no one has the heart to tell him
has so much freaking energy that you and yeosang can’t keep up sometimes
the type to wake up at 8am to skip to the gym, drink at least 3 iced americanos throughout his day, and then stay up playing video games until 2am
does this guy even need sleep??? nobody knows
unlike yeosang, has NO QUALMS with bragging about his and yeosang’s 8 year friendship to you - but unlike yeosang who only does it to get out of trouble with you, wooyoung will do it for ANYTHING
and if you start feeling left out and insecure??? ma’am, they both love you enough that they didn’t even need 8 years of your friendship first before they were willing to commit to you
and wooyoung will show it to you again and again and again
unlike yeosang who will snuggle quietly with you in bed with the lights off and ask you what’s bothering you, wooyoung will literally BITCH SLAP your insecurities right in the goddamn face
INSECURITY?? IN THIS HOUSEHOLD??? not on WOOYOUNG’S WATCH
kind of oblivious about these kinds of things, but the moment he realizes, he’s ON IT
is so aggressive about loving you afterwards that you seriously wonder why you ever doubted yourself in the first place
will wake up in the middle of the night to drag you from your bed so you can both bother yeosang in his
alone time??? he literally doesn’t know what that is. sounds fake. never heard of it. doesn’t exist
lives like he has 76 hours in one day
takes his job as yeosang’s extrovert shield VERY seriously
it actually makes him feel all warm and fuzzy inside to know that his presence makes you and yeosang feel protected and secure
is also what makes his chest puff out with pride
LOVES to feel that he’s needed
is an ✨attention whore✨
literally balances out yeosang’s lack of physical and verbal affection by being OVERLY physically and verbally affectionate
says “i love you” to both you and yeosang a minimum of 10 times per day
and if he isn’t there to say it, he’ll text it, voice message it, send it to you in morse code, or scream it from the other room - whatever he has to do to make sure you hear it
and then after sending it, he’ll call you over and over again until you pick up and then ask “did you get it??? did you get my message???? did you get it?? I LOVE you”
like yes wooyoung, the entire neighbourhood heard it too thanks for asking
really into cheesy kdrama moments and will embarrass the fuck out of yeosang trying to drag him into acting it out
but will also approach it subtly like he wasn’t the one who wanted to do it in the first place
wooyoung, leaning in: “hey yeosang, you have a little something on your mouth”
yeosang: -grabs a napkin to wipe it off himself-
wooyoung: “NO!”
unlike yeosang, LIVES for each annoying nickname that he receives from you two
you once jokingly called him your sweet pink pumpkin bubblegum princess and he PREENED
how wooyoung sleeps at night knowing he was annoying as fuck all day: (◡‿◡✿)
do you two love him for it??? unfortunately yes, and he KNOWS it
sometimes has a hard time understanding that not everyone’s love language is physical affection, which is so different from yeosang who tends to shy away from touch
it puzzles the hell out of him
but if there’s one thing that’s really great about wooyoung, it’s that he’ll always try his hardest for the people he loves
yeosang isn’t feeling for physical affection today? that’s okay. he’ll write ‘i love you’ in ketchup on yeosang’s omurice instead
yeosang doesn’t want to be hugged to sleep tonight? then he’ll give up his favourite hoodie for yeo to sleep in!
you just can’t help but UWU at the sight of your two boys
and they’re all yours ❤️
except when wooyoung calls you for a ride home at 3:14am in the morning because he lost track of time being an idiot with san and missed the last train home
in which case, you no longer claim him
jung wooyoung??? never heard of him. sounds like a fake name. doesn’t exist.
but then a particularly soft yeosang shows up at your door with his dangerous SWEATER PAWS and his phone in his hand telling you that woo called him asking for a ride
and goddammit, if there’s one thing you can’t refuse it’s yeosang
and THAT, ladies and gentlemen, brings us to the first time wooyoung has ever gotten picked up at 3:45am by 2 people on a BICYCLE
“WHERE AM I SUPPOSED TO SIT????”
yeosang, 100% deadpan: “on my lap”
❗ NSFW ❗
i feel like with woosang in particular, they don’t fall into any specific roles
they just do what feels good - just two horny boys desperately chasing their high
having said that though, if there’s ONE thing that can get wooyoung hard instantly, it’s seeing innocent yeosang horny and flustered
and when yeosang feels like he doesn’t know what to do with himself, he tends to crawl over to you to hide his face because he knows you won’t tease him like wooyoung does
but boy does wooyoung LIVE for that shit
he’ll crawl over to you both with the widest smirk on his face, taking his time to watch the way yeosang trembles in your hold before he starts slowly running his hands all up and down yeo’s milky skin
sometimes, wooyoung’s forwardness can be too much for him, but when you’re there too, yeosang feels like he can take on so much more
you’re his safe space 🥺 though he’ll never tell you
and by god if yeosang isn’t sensitive as all hell
anywhere you touch him has him shaking
has such a hard time suppressing his noises
and pulling his hands away from his face and telling him that you want to hear him just gets him even more embarrassed
SO easy for you and woo to gang up on poor yeosang
i feel like with these two, you can take on ANY role you prefer and it would match up PERFECTLY with these two
they just fall in line for you so easily
if you’re more dominant in bed, wooyoung will eagerly ask you how and where you want them; there’s nothing that gets him off faster than knowing you’re pleased with him
and if you’re more submissive in bed, wooyoung will automatically take the reigns without a word, falling into a more assertive headspace
wooyoung is just such a huge switch that he can blend seamlessly into any dynamic
yeosang strikes me also as a switch but leaning more towards submissive
he KNOWS what he wants, he’s just too shy to ask for it
with yeosang, there’s a VERY THIN LINE between him being too embarrassed to do anything and him saying fuck it to all his inhibitions and either just BEGGING for release or snapping and taking control of it himself
but in order to get there, you need to push him there
however, despite it all, seeing dominant yeosang is still a little rarer
as said earlier, wooyoung has the habit of shielding yeosang when things get to be too much for him
the SAME shit applies to the bedroom
after 8 years, wooyoung’s protective instincts over yeosang are so ingrained in him, he doesn’t know how to turn it off anymore
and though woo might be thick-skulled sometimes, NO ONE is as attuned to yeosang’s bedroom needs than he is
and he does it so subtly that you barely notice
yeosang’s becoming overwhelmed? bratty wooyoung will get all up in your face and goad you into spanking him
embarrassed yeosang doesn’t know how to respond to dirty talk? wooyoung will demand your attention by talking back
you can’t do anything to yeosang without doing it to wooyoung too, and some part of you has long accepted that these two are a package deal
you either get both or you get none at all
and in a way, seeing wooyoung so comfortable in his own skin has slowly taught yeosang how to be more comfortable in his own too
and as if confident yeosang isn’t the sexiest thing you’ve ever seen
wooyoung will come either WITH yeosang or AFTER him, but never before
and when you’re all done and spent will be when yeosang needs his time alone
and this is the part where you’ll need to stop woo from chasing after him
it happens EVERY TIME and you’ve learned to just smother him with all the hugs and kisses and cuddles that he wants while yeosang watches you two shyly from the other end of the bed
and of course, whenever yeosang’s ready, he’ll rejoin the two of you - sometimes it’s within the hour, sometimes it’s not until the sun starts to rise
but no matter what, you three are always, without fail, tangled up in the morning

Crowley’s Truth and Aziraphale’s Lies (A 3-part series) Part 1: Crowley’s Heartbreaking Honesty
So I could do a whole series about why Crowley (in all his piety) is fallen and Aziraphale (in all his temptations) is not. However, I wanted to focus this series strictly on the use of honesty and lies throughout Good Omens. I argue that honesty (and the irony of an honest Demon and a lying Angel) is a tool for establishing their place in-between Heaven and Hell. They serve as hybrids, a liminal space between holy and hellish, allowing for their supposed “flaws” to shine, and enable them to form their own side.
Crowley’s Motivation:
One of Crowley’s defining traits is his imagination. Unlike any other celestial entity, he can create ideas, questions, and fabrications at a moment’s notice. Crowley’s no Saint, he lies to Hastur easily (about calling the demonic counsel), he impersonates Aziraphale stunningly, and (if Aziraphale recalls correctly) he takes credit for all of the horrendous things humanity has done throughout the years (even earning himself some commendations along the way). So he CAN lie, quite well actually, so long as he has the proper motivation.
And, without fail what IS his motivation? Who (or what) inspires him and allows him to focus his thoughts even when he’s panicking (and possibly trying his best to cope with his piles of trauma)? Certainly not humanity alone, and certainly not because he has any sense of self-preservation. The man ran into a burning building head first without a second thought; he drove his beloved car through literal hellfire; he walked across consecrated ground despite being burned simply because he told himself he could. No, he there’s only 1 thing that motivates him.
Aziraphale (of course)
Crowley: Would I Lie To You?
Crowley lies at least 5 notable times throughout the series.
His reports about the ill-deeds he’s responsible for are riddled with lies and half-truths (which is a general fuck you Hell kind of lie)
He fails to tell the higher-ups in Hell about his knowledge about the Anti-Christ, the location of the Anti-Christ and neglected to correct Hell about it (a Fuck you Satan kind of lie)
He hides and ignores the agreement he’s made with Aziraphale from Hell (A Fuck you Heaven and Hell kind of lie)
He deceives Hastur, several times but most notably after Ligur’s death (a fuck you Hastur kind of lie, and he’s murderous so he deserves it sorta)
He Impersonates Aziraphale (An F to the U to Heaven kind of lie)
The notable exemption from this list is Aziraphale.
Unlike the demons who he deceives at any given moment (particularly in defense of Aziraphale), he refuses to lie to Aziraphale.
Are you Satan and have just “blessed” Crowley with the staring role in the Apocalypse? Yeah, great (lies through his teeth about wanting to partake).
Are you a Duke of Hell inquiring about where the Anti-Christ is and trying to confront Crowley about his relationship with Aziraphale? “So Longggg Suckaaas” I’m gonna lie lie lie and possibly kill you for coming towards me.
Are you heaven trying to torture my best friend >lover< with hellfire that will surely kill him? Not today motherfucker, because guess what? Now I’m him and I’ll lie my ass off to protect him.
Are you an Angel who shows free will and loves humanity as much as he does? 404 Error lies not found.
This is not to say he’s always straightforward with Aziraphale. because God, Satan, Someone knows he’s got a flair for the dramatic. But not even does he lie through omission. Whenever Aziraphale asks a question, no matter how light-hearted or series Crowley’s being, he will always give an honest answer, even if it sometimes goes over the angel’s head. >see: Crowley being a blubbering mess because his best friend died and Aziraphale not quite understanding that the best friend is him<
He’s also oddly cryptic when he’s asking for holy water, but never once does Crowley lie. Sure, he’s trying to speak in code “because the trees have ears”, but when he says it’s for insurance, not a suicide pill, it is for insurance.
He can tell that his relationship with Aziraphale has morphed in such a way that it would put him and Aziraphale in danger if Hell ever found out about it. Aziraphale, simply, does not believe him that his only motivation is protection because it is too close to his own fears about Crowley being destroyed.
Which is why I think he’s so upset about the word “fraternize”. First, there is a class element involved with the Victorian use of the word (usually referring to someone of a higher class interacting friendly to a lower class member). Where Aziraphale may have meant comradery (and brotherhood, which also not how Crowley views their relationship) Crowley certainly acts as if he took it to mean Aziraphale was speaking to him like an enemy or an inferior” species.
This is only further supported by Aziraphale’s accusatory “we may have both started out as Angels, but YOU are fallen”, placing (in my opinion) too much emphasis on Crowley’s fall (a huge trauma trigger for him). But this whole characterization of their relationship is a lie Aziraphale tells himself to repress his fears about Heaven’s traumatic treatment of him. By this point in their partnership (as we’ve seen) both he and Crowley go out of their ways to treat each other as equals. To deny it, to repress their feeling is a slap. in. the. face.
Further, the audience for lying clearly matters to Crowley. In the relative privacy of the park, Aziraphale says “fraternize”, which doesn’t do enough justice for the kind of intimacy the uniquely share. It implies they could be enemies or strangers (which they aren’t, they’re at least friends). Crowley is so intimately aware that even now, in the 1800′s, it’s them (and humanity) against divinity. And, Crowley refuses to lie to Aziraphale, especially about the sort of relationship they share. Sure he won’t tell the other demons, and sure as hell won’t tell the angels how deep their relationship goes, but in this private moment, where he’s approaching as a partner (not an adversary)? It would be the worst kind of lie. It would ignore or erase the new space they’ve created for themselves where they can be equals.
In the above gif, we see Crowley angry and lash out. He says harsh words and insists that he doesn’t need Aziraphale. Since we’re counting, I don’t think this is a lie. Now no, he clearly does need Aziraphale in his life, but he’s just been smacked in the face with the insinuation that they are not equals, they are not friends, they are enemies, and I believe him at this moment, a very hurt Crowley, decides if that’s how Aziraphale is going to treat him, then he will treat him like all his other enemies. At the moment he says I think it he means it because Crowley cannot make time for someone who won’t take his concerns seriously and thinks so little of their relationship. If he can’t be seen as an equal, he’d prefer not to be seen at all.
Although, this is a temporary truth, and one Crowley is willing to correct Aziraphale about in a way he never does for his hellish counterparts. Crowley cares too deeply to wish Aziraphale any real harm, even if Aziraphale can’t call a spade a spade. Crowley sure as Hell would move heaven and earth to demonstrate the extent of his love. He shows as much in his rescue in 1941, and again when Aziraphale once again lies and says “we’re not friends...I don’t even like you” in the bandstand. These lies actively hurt Crowley but not once does he retaliate with. Instead, he meets Aziraphale with blunt honesty. Saying “yes you do” doing everything he can to get Aziraphale on the same page, and share their truth.
Look at the above gif. Not only does Crowley KNOW Aziraphale is lying, but Aziraphale knows it too. While he clearly loves Crowley and has loved Crowley for some time, his inability to work through his anxieties and rely on Crowley as a support system, as a partner, he can’t come to terms with his own trauma.
So, he lies.
He lies and he hurts Crowley. He lies and he dismisses Crowley’s honesty. He lies and he harms himself because they both know this is a facade he can’t keep up much longer. He lies, and Crowley still meets him with honesty and forgiveness.
And honestly, it breaks his heart to be lied to, but he knows the alternative solution would be no best friend at all. Under normal circumstances, Crowley could be patient. He could wait for Aziraphale to come to terms with their relationship almost for forever. But, shit hits the fan, and he needs to show Aziraphale that two of them need to stop dancing, stop being cryptic, and cut through the bullshit for once.
Which brings me to the first Gif of this section. Take a moment, scroll the ridiculous amount up, and just look at the indignation on his face. in the earlier gif “Would I lie to you?”, he clearly consciously makes a point to never lie to Aziraphale, despite it supposedly being “the demon’s way”. Not in anger (like at the bandstand) not even if it’s uncomfortable (like when he’s criticizing Aziraphale for being so clever and so stupid), not even if the angel is (knowingly or unknowingly) hurting him with his lies.
Crowley draws the line at tainting his relationship with the kind of lies Heaven tells, and the kind of disregard Hell tells. Because despite the lies he’s told by Aziraphale, Crowley knows who he can trust, who he needs on his side, who he wants to spend the end of the world with, and it sure as hell isn’t Hastur or Beelzebub.
Because at the end of the day, Crowley knows what the two of them share together. One great way to see this comparison is to checkout @theladyzephyr ‘s meta on Crowley and his glasses. Because while he does let his guard down for Aziraphale (even if only drunk), his autonomy, his consent to wear/not wear his glasses is taken from in by Hastur in the above gif’s scene. Aziraphale, for all his lies, does not cross the same boundaries as Hell does, and genuinely cares for Crowley. He shows remorse for his actions and is clearly just as hurt by his own lies as Crowley is.
A Very Crowley’s Conclusion
But what does this mean in terms of his Honesty? Well, for starters, demonstrates that while he has the power to lie, and could lie to Aziraphale (functionally I mean) he chooses not to.
He might, every now and then poke him and partake in some friendly banter, but never is it mean spirited, not even when they’re both at their breaking points. His ability to lie but restraint from lying; his ability to deceive, but his choice to trust, sets him apart from the rest of the demonic mold.
Quite honestly, He probably could tempt (like really tempt) Aziraphale to his side. He could manipulate and push the Angel into situations they both know he would be uncomfortable with. But, he doesn’t. He doesn’t become the abusive force Heaven and Hell have pushed on the two of them because that’s not how he wants or needs to cope with his loss. No, he needs an equal, not a lackey. He needs an equal, not a boss. He needs love, not control.
It becomes clear that his loyalties have never (at least not in the series) been with Hell. Crowley doesn’t trust or care about his fellow demons. He kills one (permanently) and another (not so permanently) without hesitation. He defies (actively and with little regard for the safety of other celestial creatures) the desires of Hell, working with his bestie to ensure the world breaks even.
Consequently, he’s creating a “third” option with Aziraphale. It is distinctly not a human space (neither of them is human). It’s is not heavenly or hellish, but space for them to be who they are, fight for what they love and feel safe knowing they are a team (romantic or otherwise). And it’s clear based on who he lies to and how he lies, that he’s not cut out for the Demon frenzy or the demon.
Their third space is what Crowley’s been working for since day one because Aziraphale is worth lying to others to protect and worth telling the truth to love.

Service User Inclusion in Social Work Education, a Factor Analysis-Juniper Publishers
Social Work Education in the United States
Social work curricula across the United States lacks service user inclusion in the education of social workers, despite the trademark of the profession being service user oriented. Social work education in the United States requires a four-year undergraduate degree, or a two-year graduate degree, in social work. Both undergraduate and graduate social work degrees require students to complete internship hours working with individuals, families, groups, communities and/or organizations, with the goal of enabling and encouraging the application of social work-related knowledge, skills and values covered during classroom instruction (theory) within real-life settings (practice). For many students, the internship serves as the first encounter with service users of social service organizations, meaning they may have little-to-no understanding of service user experiences, or the skills needed to work collaboratively with service users, prior to this point in their academic careers.
Social workers are tasked with assessing service users of social service organizations for eligibility and need for services, thereafter, working collaboratively with service users to meet these assessed need(s). Social workers in the United States are expected to adhere to the National Association of Social Workers (NASW) Code of Ethics, which emphasizes respect for service users, service user self-determination and preservation of the dignity and worth of every person [1]. International professionals in the field of academia, as well as social workers and service users, have argued in favor of service users being included in the education of social work students to prepare and equip them with the knowledge, skills and values necessary to provide social work services to service users while on their internship and after graduation [2,3].

Service User Inclusion in Social Work Education
Between 2003 and 2004, the inclusion of service users receiving health and social work services became mandatory in social work education in the United Kingdom (UK). Service user inclusion was viewed as important and necessary for the “new generation of social workers to gain a thorough grounding in clients’ experiences and expectations from the very start of their training and careers” [3]. Universities and social service organizations varied in the extent to which service users were included and some academics began to publish case studies and evaluations of service user inclusion [4].
Branfield [5] explored service user perceptions of their own inclusion in UK-based social work education, including barriers to, and components of, good practice. Service users reported that in order to employ and promote quality social workers, service users should take part in their education, which should entail inclusion in the selection of students into the program (admission), training and writing coursework (curriculum) and evaluating student progress (assessment). Service users reported potential barriers to their inclusion, such as access to the university, inadequate training and negative attitudes from faculty and students toward their inclusion. Alternatively, good practice was identified as accessibility to the university, identifying and providing training to service users as well as faculty and students being open and receptive to service user knowledge and experience. Branfield [5] and the service users concluded that best practice approaches to service user inclusion remains relatively unknown.
Universities across Europe and the rest of the world have begun considering service user inclusion in social work education. Robinson & Webber [4] conducted a comprehensive review of the current literature on the models and effectiveness of service user inclusion in social work education. The research reviewed was primarily conducted in the UK (where, as aforementioned, service user inclusion is mandatory) and included only four studies -- two from Croatia, one from Israel and one from the US. The US-based study was an evaluation of a small-scale project consisting of a one-day (6 hour) activity bringing social service users into a facilitated dialogue with social work students with the aim of changing student attitudes towards persons with mental illness [6]. No further studies of service user inclusion in social work education in the US have been found. Therefore, there is currently limited knowledge on the extent to which service users are included in social work education in the US and the potential benefits and drawbacks to inclusion for students, service users and the overall social work profession.

Rationale for the Study
Self-determination, empowerment and partnership with service users are all central values to social work practice [1]. Students, both undergraduate and graduate, are taught to establish collaborative relationships with service users during their coursework and internships. In fact, the very paradigm of social work is to act “with” and not “for” service users. Although service user input is currently incorporated in social work education in indirect ways (e.g. literature with first-person service user accounts and service user feedback on intervention literature), social work educators need to evaluate whether or not the aforementioned social work values are genuinely incorporated into curriculum, or if the inclusion is more tokenistic and superficial [7]. Schools of social work in the United States have emphasized incorporating content related to racial and ethnic minority groups taught by faculty members belonging to those groups [8] with service users occasionally being included as guest speakers or co-trainers in the classroom [9]. However, it cannot be assumed that the appropriate faculty will have the ability and availability to teach such coursework.
The New York State Office of Mental Health (NYSOMH) includes service users in the training of psychiatric hospital staff and found that service users reported feeling valued and empowered for having their opinions sought out and service providers (including social workers) felt higher respect for service user rights, greater acceptance of service user self-advocacy and greater sense of importance of viewing each service user as an individual Bassman (2000). Scheyett & Diehl [7] found that service users have a desire to participate in social work education through co-teaching, course content development and implementation, being included in curriculum committee and syllabus review processes as well as research and field practicum. Hence, the motivation is there for both students and service users to welcome service user inclusion in social work education.

Methodology
As of July 2014, there were 500 undergraduate and 233 graduate social work programs that are accredited by the CSWE. The CSWE provides an up-to-date list of all accredited undergraduate and graduate programs on their website, along with contact information for each program director. All 733 programs were emailed invitations to participate in the Survey Monkey questionnaire; follow up reminders were sent on a weekly basis.
This quantitative study is as an exploratory cross-sectional research study using non-probability purposive sampling techniques. The research tool is a non-pre-existing questionnaire, developed through a review of literature informing the theoretical framework, uploaded to Survey Monkey, thereafter, targeted toward social work faculty across the United States. Informed consent was attained through Survey Monkey before participants began the questionnaire. Data were collected from 12:00 AM EST March 1st, 2018 until 11:59 PM EST April 30th, 2018, a duration of 61 days.
The data collected were analyzed through SPSS using descriptive statistics to determine percentages and frequencies of responses to questions. Bivariate analyses were employed to determine relationships between two variables while multivariate analyses were employed to explain the variance among variables. Factor analysis was employed in efforts to estimate a model that explains variance and covariance between the observed variables by a set of underlying factors and weightings. Reliability was analyzed through Cronbach’s Alpha (otherwise known as coefficient alpha) and validity was analyzed through Pearson’s r. Factor analysis helps explore the actual, rather than mere theoretical, correlations between variables. This required trimming away some items to reduce error, increasing reliability and possibly forming new, unexpected factors. The Kaiser- Meyer-Olkin (KMO) Measure of Sampling Adequacy is a statistic that allows the researcher to look at some basic assumptions. KMO, varying from 0-1 with the industry standard being 0.50 or higher to proceed, generally indicates whether the variables can be grouped into a smaller set of underlying factors. KMO values below 0.50 suggest that factor analysis may not be useful. By employing factor analysis as the predominant analysis modality to uncover the underlying structure of this study’s set of variables, the researcher believes that the richness of collected data was drawn out and presented on full, clear display.
The questionnaire was piloted to several colleagues and professors of the researcher and suggested edits were considered and, in most cases, implemented. Despite having been piloted and thereafter refined, there were limitations and obstacles to this study. Only 404 social work faculty participated in the study during the 61-day data collection period. Although the questionnaire was purely quantitative, completing it, even with time and intention, may have posed challenges for social work faculty who are resistant to, or unable to access, online surveys. The same can be said for social work faculty who use different terminology than that of the questionnaire and those whose primary language may not be English. Finally, social work faculty, despite being assured confidentiality, may not always answer honestly because they know the discipline of social work favors service user inclusion in all aspects of the social work profession. Hence, social work faculty may have answered this survey as though they are in favor of service user inclusion in social work education even if they aren’t in favor of it, an anticipated threat to internal validity [10,11].
Quantitative research methods focus more on breadth than depth, this study is no different. While a great deal of content was collected through this study, it was lacking a great deal of context by design. Follow-up questions, leading to higher clarity, were not available. A personalized data collection experience was not provided to participants, rather a uniform process by which all participants were expected to respond.
Quantitative data aims to quantify and analyze collected data into numbers, frequencies and algorithms, furthering potential for a loss of context in the presentation of content. In contrast to qualitative research, quantitative designs assume a single, aggregate reality (objectivity) with little to no variation (subjectivity). Either design can be used to study any topic, and both are careful, diligent processes to discover and interpret knowledge. Although qualitative design would clearly yield more context and complexities, a quantitative design was chosen to reach a greater number of participant responses in the interest of external validity and generalizability as well as to limit researcher bias as much as possible [12].
Despite the detail within the informed consent, some participants may not have been willing to share how included or not included social service users are in their programs for fear of seeming to fall short of community outreach goals or deviating from program standards and bylaws. Although all efforts were made to bridge any potential gaps in communication and understanding, participants may still think that service users are included in their respective programs when they are not. Other participants may instead think that service users are not included in their programs when they are, based on what their own idea of what service user inclusion looks like. All of this means that substantial considerations must be made for a myriad of potential scenarios while reviewing survey results, while acknowledging that it would be impossible to prepare for every individual variation beforehand.

Results
The dependent variable
Scale reliability is generally a prerequisite to scale validity, thus the industry standard 0.70 minimum benchmark [10,11] in calculating Cronbach’s Alpha was employed to determine internal consistency/reliability among questions related to (DV) service user inclusion in social work education, an 11 item inventory aggregated into a single composite score. The Cronbach’s Alpha coefficient associated with the inventory was 0.891 (N = 370), justifying use of the composite score for DV.
The theoretical range for the DV was 0-55 with higher scores indicating more positive attitudes toward service user inclusion in social work education. The mean composite score of the DV for participants in this study (N = 370) was 31.584 (SD = 7.264) with the median score being 31, and the mode being 29 (N = 31 or 8.378% of participants). The lowest recorded score among the participants was 12 and the highest was 55, setting the range at 43. A visual depiction of the range of participants’ scores mirrored a normal curve as indicated in (Figure 1) with elements of DV further detailed in (Table 1).
Composite bivariate analyses
Cronbach’s Alpha was calculated to determine the internal consistency/reliability among questions related to (IV1) service user empowerment and consumerism, a 10-item inventory aggregated into a single composite score with a theoretical range from 0-50 with higher scores indicating more positive attitudes toward service user empowerment and consumerism. The Cronbach’s Alpha coefficient associated with the inventory was 0.565 (N = 385), below the industry standard 0.70 minimum benchmark. The mean composite score for IV1 was 41.977 (SD = 3.647), with the median score of 42 and the mode being 45 (N = 53 or 13.766% of participants). The lowest recorded score was 22 and the highest recorded score was 50, setting the range at 28. A visual depiction of the range of participants’ scores mirrored a normal curve as indicated in (Figure 2) with elements of IV1 further detailed in (Table 2).
Cronbach’s Alpha was calculated for inventory items associated with both IV1 (10 items) and DV (11 items) together to determine internal consistency/reliability among all 21 items. The Cronbach’s Alpha coefficient associated with the combined inventories was 0.813 (N = 370), thus confirming internal consistency/reliability among IV1 and DV. There was a weak, statistically significant, positive relationship, between IV1 and DV (r (370) = 0.152, p=0.003). Cronbach’s Alpha was calculated to determine the internal consistency/reliability among questions related to (IV2) service user inclusion in social work organizations, an 8-item inventory aggregated into a single composite score. The Cronbach’s Alpha coefficient associated with the inventory was 0.832 (N = 378), exceeding the industry standard 0.70 minimum benchmark.
The mean composite score for IV2 was 27.762 (SD = 4.912), with the median score of 28 and the mode being 28 (N = 38 or 10.052% of participants). The lowest recorded score was 13 and the highest recorded score was 40, setting the range at 27. A visual depiction of the range of participants’ scores mirrored a normal curve as indicated in (Figure 3) with elements of IV2 further detailed in (Table 3).
Cronbach’s Alpha was calculated for inventory items associated with both IV2 (8 items) and DV (11 items) together to determine internal consistency/reliability among all 19 items. The Cronbach’s Alpha coefficient associated with the combined inventories was 0.922 (N = 370), thus confirming internal consistency/reliability among IV2 and DV. There was a strong, statistically significant, positive relationship between IV2 and DV (r (370) = 0.765, p=0.000).
Factor analysis
Factor analysis was employed to both validate this instrument measuring attitudes toward service user inclusion in social work education and to explore factors predicting directionality of attitudes (positive versus negative attitudes toward service user inclusion in social work education). IV1 was not found to be internally consistent/reliable (Cronbach’s Alpha of 0.565, below the industry standard 0.70), only so in conjunction with DV (Cronbach’s Alpha of 0.813, meeting the
The internally consistent/reliable and statistically significant variables and correlations validating the relationship between IV2 and DV were analyzed through dimension reduction, specifically factor analysis – principle components. The Varimax rotation method was selected for extraction. With IV2 and DV not aggregated into composite scores representing each variable individually, three components were extracted through factor analysis – principle components, with a Scree Plot Eigenvalue of 1 or higher, as visually depicted in (Figure 4). The three components and the overall sums of squared loadings explain 62.909% of the total variance between IV2 and DV, as visually depicted in (Table 4).
The Kaiser-Meyer-Olkin Measure of Sampling Adequacy for factor analysis was 0.910, with the industry standard being 0.5 or higher [10,11]. Analyzing the Bartlett’s Test of Sphericity shows a significance of 0.000, indicating statistical significance, suggesting that factor analysis was useful. Based on the Principle Component Analysis extraction method using the Varimax with Kaiser Normalization rotation method, the Rotated Component Matrix, (Table 5), gleans three extracted factors that were then examined for loading weights upon all elements of IV2 and DV. This analysis finds that Component 1 (C1) appears to pertain to student development, Component 2 (C2) appears to pertain to professional development and Component 3 (C3) appears to pertain to service user compensation, with standardized regression weights visually depicted by (Figure 5).
The component plot in rotated space (Figure 6) gives a visual depiction of where each element of IV2 and DV fall within a threedimensions (C1, C2 and C3) space. These three components were then saved as variables for the purpose of analysis through linear regression for to establish model fit.
Linear regression shows that all three components are statistically significant in determining DV, each with a significance of 0.000. C1, student development, is most important for determining DV as it has an unstandardized beta of 5.690 and a standardized beta of 0.783. C2, professional development (unstandardized beta of 3.016 and standardized beta of 0.415) and C3, service user compensation (unstandardized beta of 3.040 and standardized beta of 0.419) are of some importance in determining DV (Table 6). The model summary shows values of 0.961 for R square as well as adjusted R square (Table 7) while the normal P-P plot of regression standardized residual gives a visual depiction of the, establishing model fit (Figure 7).

Discussion
Composite bivariate analyses showing results that are statistically significant were both attitudes on service user empowerment and consumerism (IV1) and attitudes on service user inclusion in social work organizations (IV2), found to show statistically significant correlation with attitudes on service user inclusion in social work education (DV). IV1 shows a weak, positive, but significant correlation of 0.152 with a two-tailed significance of 0.030. Thus, those who favor service user empowerment and consumerism are likely to favor some service user inclusion in social work education. IV2 shows a strong, positive, significant correlation of 0.765 with a two-tailed significance of 0.000. Thus, those who favor service user empowerment and consumerism are likely to favor more service user inclusion in social work education.
Since IV2 was found to be both independently internally consistent/reliable and show statistically significant correlation with DV, the relationship amongst the two was analyzed through factor analysis. The data associated with Scree Plot Eigenvalues, the Keyser-Meyer-Olkin Measure of Sampling Adequacy and the Bartlett’s Test of Sphericity essentially show that when IV2 and DV were not aggregated into composite scores representing each variable individually, three components were extracted through factor analysis explaining 62.909% of the total variance.
Essentially, when studying IV2 and DV, we are studying 62.909% of the same concepts, components or factors. In Layman’s terms, when studying sampled social work faculty and their attitudes on service user inclusion in social work organizations (IV2) with their attitudes on service user inclusion in social work education (DV), we are studying similar concepts, components or factors. Delving further into the identities of these three components by cross-referencing them with individual elements of IV2 and DV shows that student development (C1), professional development (C2) and service user compensation (C3) were most important in determining attitudes on service user inclusion in social work education (DV). Linear regression created a model that shows C1, student development, is the most important of these factors. Based on these figures and narratives, these findings were both reliable and valid.
Implications and contributions to social work
The focus of this study pertains to collegiate social work curricula across the United States lacking service user inclusion at the academic level, despite the trademark of the profession being service user oriented. There may be some universities around the United States that promote an abbreviated simulation of UK mandates, but nothing on a national or regional scale is known to exist at this time. This research study is important and timely for several reasons: the extent of service user inclusion in US social work education remains relatively unknown and the findings from this study could further the knowledge in this area by identifying the attitudes of social work faculty.
Implications gleaned from this study pertaining to social work practice suggests that practitioners should be aware of how they have been taught to view service users and the underlying policies that may make service users believe they are more involved in their own service plan than they really are. Implications gleaned from this study pertaining to social work education suggests that students and faculty should be more self-aware of how they view service user inclusion. The CSWE (Council on Social Work Education) may find it fruitful to reinforce the core social work values in encouraging (and when appropriate, requiring) service user inclusion in social work education, just as the accrediting body does in the UK.
Social work is defined as “a practice-based profession and an academic discipline that promotes social change and development, social cohesion and the empowerment and liberation of people. Principles of social justice, human rights, collective responsibility and respect for diversities are central to social work. […] social work engages people and structures to address life challenges and enhance wellbeing” [13]. As the definition highlights, social work aims to engage people to enhance wellbeing and values collective responsibility in achieving this aim. The empowerment of individuals, groups and communities in need requires their active inclusion in the social work process of assessment, intervention and evaluation of services, yet service users’ views and perspectives are often ignored during this process [8,14]. This study’s findings indicate that much work remains in achieving buy-in from social work faculty across the US to embrace service user inclusion in social work education. Opening the door and allowing service users a seat at the table with decorated scholars is still not as accepted a practice or pursuit as the tenets of the social work profession suggest it should be.
considerations
There is a great deal of information to be gleaned from those with experiential knowledge on subject matter, beyond the limits of academic knowledge. The inclusion of service users in social work academia could help bridge the gap between academic knowledge and experiential knowledge. More importantly, meaningful inclusion of service users, defined as citizen power as opposed to tokenism or non-participation [15] is key in maintaining an environment where there is buy-in from all parties to advance social work theory and eventual practice.
However, cautiousness must be employed in aiming for meaningful inclusion of service users, as there is a risk of retraumatization through continual recollection. Service users should not be taken advantage of and coercion must be kept in check to ensure that service user inclusion always remains voluntary. Not all service users may have an interest in advancing social work academia and that should be acknowledged by all.
Limitations
A major limitation to this study is the exclusion of service users in a study designed to highlight the importance of service user inclusion. The primary reason behind this decision was to first establish the attitudes of social work faculty across the United States. This is not designed to be an exhaustive and complete study on the topic, further research must be done including service users, students and other constituents.
The research tool employed in this study was a quantitative questionnaire, and as with any quantitative questionnaire, the aim here was breadth at the expense of depth. Nuance was non-existent with the use of this structured questionnaire. Furthermore, the questionnaire was author-constructed with the pre-existing knowledge of a potential for high social desirability of participant responses (participants may have answered in such a way as to appear as though they value service user inclusion more than they do). Since “neutral” was a choice in the majority of questions, it’s likely that greater variation (and statistical significance) could have been established if “neutral” was not an available choice within the questionnaire. As with any newly constructed questionnaire, hindsight highlights a plethora of variables that could have been included but were not. For this study, a couple of these variables were years since social work practice and personal experience as service user, among many other potentials. Purposive sampling, employed in this study, is a non-probability sampling method, yielding results that are not as generalizable as probability sampling methods [10,11].
Areas of future research
This researcher’s goal has been to learn about the attitudes of faculty within social work programs toward service user inclusion in social work education, thereafter, mapping out the mechanisms by which such inclusion could potentially be achieved. The information gathered could eventually lead to the development of a “best practice” model, which could be implemented and evaluated on an ongoing basis. Future funding could enable programs to implement this “best practice” model and evaluate the outcomes for service users and students, thus fulfilling the need for evidence on the effectiveness of service user inclusion in social work education [4]. This study, by no means exhaustive and complete, aims to move one step closer to this “best practice” model by being a point of reference for future studies of similar nature.
With a priori hypotheses now established through this study in the way of three components (student development (C1), professional development (C2) and service user compensation (C3)), the next step from this study could be to run a Confirmatory Factor Analysis (CFA) using a new sample set to test for and confirm these findings. Further next steps could include approaching this topic from a qualitative perspective. Including variables assessing faculty’s personal experience as a service user and/or carer as well as years since last direct practice with service users/careers would further advance this topic.
This study only includes social work faculty across the United States. Next steps from this study, whether qualitative or quantitative, could further expand the sample to include students, service users and/or careers. It would be helpful to find what these groups would see as helpful in-service user inclusion moving forward, in addition to what they view as barriers and facilitators to inclusion. Service users of social work services have formed advocacy groups to fight for inclusion in the shaping of social services and have used the slogan “nothing about us without us” in their mission. Service users argue for inclusion in all aspects of social work services from the education of future social workers to the evaluation of services and consultation on policies [8,14,16,17]. This exploratory study only examines how social work educators perceive service user inclusion in the academic process. Further research is needed through exploratory, descriptive and explanatory study designs bridge the gap between this study’s findings and the expressed spirit of the social work profession.
The extent of service user inclusion in US social work education remains relatively unknown. The findings from this study could further the knowledge in this arena by having identified the attitudes of service user inclusion from the perspective of sampled social work faculty across the United States. The data gathered, analyzed and (soon-to-be) disseminated (through social work conferences and peer-reviewed journals) could potentially lead to the development of a “best practice” model of service user inclusion in social work education. This model could then be implemented and evaluated on an ongoing basis with both undergraduate and graduate social work programs, thus fulfilling the need for evidence of the effectiveness of service user inclusion in social work education [4].

I adore this tiny eldritch horror disguising itself like a peach
I love animals that are, like, the opposite of cryptids: we know for a fact they exist and have a clear idea of what they look like because we have photographs and individual specimens, but we haven’t the faintest idea where they’re coming from - they just keep showing up out of nowhere, and the locations of their actual population centres are a complete mystery.

Which to be honest, is considerably true.
The issue with that technique is, nevertheless, that rating on web page one for a branded key phrase is simply the primary piece of the website positioning puzzle.

Odd Web page Rating for It in SERPs
The overall “leisure hub” touchdown web page ranked #1 for all branded style queries. This regardless of its non-descript metadata!
And whereas FOX.com did rank on Web page 1, Place 1 the queries, the ranked web page itself was not very helpful.
Rivals Are Performing Higher in This Space
For comparability, I reviewed what different business gamers have been doing to optimize for comparable queries.
Because it turned out, most had devoted touchdown pages for every style of content material they provided.

Tip 1: Make sure the Pages Serve the Right Standing Codes to Google
The very first thing I found was that a few of FOX’s style pages have been serving 404 errors to Google, so we fastened them to serve a correct 200.
Tip 2: Add Self-Referencing Canonical Tags to the Pages
Along with the 404 error response codes, FOX.com’s style pages was additionally lacking user-selected canonical tags.
Google had chosen to index none of them. It thought of all style pages as “duplicates” to the /stay web page.
We fastened this, too.
Tip 3: Create Static, HTML Variations of All of the Pages
It was no fluke that Google thought all the style filter pages have been duplicates with the /stay web page.
By inspecting the URLs in Google Search Console, I found that bots weren’t capable of “see” them correctly.
FOX.com was constructed with ReactJS, the answer was for us to create static, HTML variations of the pages so Google may higher learn what the content material on the pages have been.
The outcomes, under:
Tip 4: Implement Customized, Optimized Metadata
Lastly, I wanted to set all style pages up with their very own customized, optimized meta tags.
Earlier than – Style pages have un-descriptive metadata that was a reproduction with dozens of different pages.
After – Style pages have descriptive metadata with strategic key phrases.
We additionally up to date the “Leisure Hub” web page’s metadata to be extra descriptive, and assist it rank for its personal “appropriate” key phrases.
Earlier than – Leisure Hub web page has the identical, un-descriptive metadata because the style touchdown pages.
After – Leisure Hub web page has distinctive metadata that speaks to all the forms of content material it presents.

All the above adjustments have been made to FOX.com by January 19, 2020.
And whereas optimizations take time to kick in, now we have seen some promising enhancements over the past three months.
Particularly, FOX.com’s style pages and Leisure Hub web page have helped drive extra natural visits, distinctive guests, and content material begins to the web site.
See particulars under:

The Witcher Headcanon (Modern AU) - Error 404 Brain Not Found: Bonus Scene - Part 5
Jaskier pushed the last armload of laundry into the washer and started the cycle.
"Do you think that's too much in there?" he asked Geralt.
"Hm."
"Yeah, you're right. There was still some room at the top."
If Yennefer had been home, she probably would have b*tched at them for not dividing the load. But she wasn't home at the moment, and she wouldn't be back until long after everything was washed, dried, and put away.
Satisfied with the situation, Jaskier and Geralt left the machine to do its job and went to do less boring things. Geralt went up to his room to play with customize his new horse figurine.
Jaskier sat on the floor in the laundry room and made up an impromptu song about laundry, which led to him scribbling down some notes for a song about a poor laundry lass who fell in love with a tanner's son, married him, then ended up washing him and hanging him out on the washing line because she couldn't stand the smell.
Once the clothes were dry, folded, and put away, Jaskier was taking his basket back to the laundry room. He paused at the top of the stairs and turned to ask Geralt something. Then he turned back around. He stared at the stairs, then at the basket in his hands.
Intrusive Thoughts: What if we...?
Jaskier: No, that only works in movies. And they use stuntmen.
Intrusive Thoughts: If a stuntman can do it, so can we!"
Jaskier: But I'm not a stuntman."
Intrusive Thoughts: It's just physics! Center of gravity and mass and all that! It's all about balance! Come on, it will be fun! Just like going down a slide!
Geralt saw Jaskier look at the stairs, then at the basket, and before he could blink, Jaskier was sitting in his clothes basket and sliding down the stairs with a small scream.
Jaskier hit the bottom and tumbled out, then lay on the floor laughing his a** off while Geralt rushed down the stairs to see if he was alright. Jaskier got up with an excited whoop. "Geralt, did ye see that? That was f***ing awesome! Ye have to try it!"
Geralt had indeed seen it. And it had looked f***ing awesome. But his sense of self-preservation was screaming at him that it was a very bad idea. Not because he could get hurt. He was a Witcher, and he had incredible balance, strength, and reflexes. The chance of him injuring himself was minimal.
No, what he was afraid of was either breaking something they couldn't hide or fix before Yennefer got home, or Jaskier getting seriously hurt and Yennefer finding out.
The witch would straight up murder his a**, bury him in her garden somewhere, and claim he'd never come back from a contract. It was best to err on the side of caution.
But then again... Geralt watched as Jaskier took another turn going down the stairs, screaming delightedly and cackling as he got to the bottom. Geralt shook his head and marched upstairs. He retrieved his basket from where he'd dropped it and turned to march down the stairs, fully intending to retrun it to the laundry room.
He hesitated, looking down the lenght of the carpeted slope of steps.
No. He was a mature f***ing adult!
But Jaskier was standing there, smiling and laughing, and throwing all kinds of encouragement at him.
No, no he was not going to get sucked into the shenanigans!
But then Jaskier started chanting "Do it! Do it! Do it!"
All of Geralt's brain cells left the chat, leaving only one small neuron flickering just enough for him to think "LEEERROOOOYYYY JEEEEEEEENNNNKINS!" before he went bumping down the stairs in his laundry basket.
Half way down, he tipped forward and tumbled the rest of the way down. Jaskier was laughing breathlessly by the time Geralt reached the bottom and rolled sidways out of the basket. Jaskier was rolling on the floor, holding his sides and howling with laughter along side Geralt.
A look passed between them, and seconds later they were rushing back upstairs.
"You have to lean back a little, so you don't go ar*e over elbow!" Jaskier suggested as Geralt settled himself in the basket for another go.
Geralt tried the suggestion, with slightly better results. After hitting the wall hard enough to have to re-hang one of Yennefer and Jaskier's Awkward Sibling Photoshoot pictures, Geralt had piled a bunch of pillows and couch cushions on the floor around the foot of the stairs and against the wall.
They took turns sliding down with varying degress of success and a sh*t ton of laughing. It turned out Jaskier's first two slides had been beginner's luck. There were spills, tumbles, curses, and a lot of laughing.
"We should try going down at the same time!" Jaskier said as he got up after his latest trip down.
"We won't fit in the same basket!"
"For f**k's-! No, not in the same basket, just at the same time!" Jaskier had grabbed both laundry baskets and set them at the top of the stairs, one behind the other. "Like this!"
Jaskier sat in the basket in front, bracing himself with his legs over the sides so he wouldn't go flying down before he could show Geralt what to do. "Now, you sit in the back one and stick your legs in my basket."
It took a little bit of maneuvering, but they finally ened up with a very short laundry basket 'train'.
"Ready?" Jaskier asked after they were both situated.
"Hm!"
"One...twothreegooooo!" Jaskier shouted, picking his feet up and using the hand rail to pull them forward. They started sliding, and there was no going back. They had gotten the balance right, for the first two seconds, and then the leading edge of Jaskier's basket dipped too far down, and the whole thing went tits up.
It was at that moment that the front door swung open. Yennefer walked in just in time to see what appeared to be Geralt and Jaskier falling down the stairs. She gasped in horror as they tumbled over each other before reaching the bottom, landing in a heap.
She was fluttering around them in panic, bombarding them with questions, and thinking surely one of them hand broken their neck. Her concern turned to confusion as Jaskier and Geralt had untangled themselves and slowly gotten to their feet.
"What happened? Are you alright?"
Neither one of them were looking her in the eye, which Yennefer had found highly suspicious. "What did you do?" she'd asked, her tone low and almost threatening.
Geralt had looked at Jaskier, and Jaskier had started grinning like an idiot. Geralt had made a valiant attempt to keep a straight face, but the strain had given him a constipated look. Jaskier had taken one look at Geralt's "pooping face" and had giggling, which had made Geralt start giggling.
Jaskier: *giggle snort* LaUnDrY!
Yennefer narrowed her eyes at him and said flatly, "Laundry," in a tone that suggested she knew d*mn well they had been doing no such thing.
Yennefer had already surveyed the scene and taken in the little details: the baskets, the stratiegic piles of pillows and cushions, the two giggling morons...
"You two ar**holes went down the stairs in the laundry baskets, didn't you!" she'd said accusingly.
By now, the two of them were trying very hard not to look at each other.
Jaskier was practically vibrating with the effort of holding in the laughter that was trying to escape.
Geralt felt Jaskier start turning his head beside him, and hissed desperately at him through their mental link "Don't you dare f***ing look at me!"
"Look at the two of you!" Yennefer snapped in exhasperation, "Not a thought behind your eyes!"
Geralt saw Jaskier twitch out of the corner of his eye, and heard him snort. That was all it took. The two of them burst into outright laughter.
Yennefer sighed and used her magic to reinforce the laundry baskets, make them big enough to hold the two grown adults, and make them 'crash proof'.
"Here, " she said, tossing the baskets at them, "At least do it right so I don't have to bring out the Dumba** Band-aids." Then she went to take a shower and listen to them whooping excitedly as they went back to their game.
