Today's trick that is making me go to the gym:
I mixed up my protein shake already and it gets gross after a few hours
#technically I am due an extra rest day I only workout 4 out of 7 currently#but I'm toying with AB-rest-AB-rest#we're seeing each other and seeing how things go#and if we want to get serious#plus if I'm too tired tomorrow I can take my second rest day then right#WEH I went up to full plates this week and I'm working in another chest set because I want DEM TIDDIES and I'm working hard#but I'm so so tired all the time guys it's BRUTAL out here#I did go on an hour bikeride yesterday so like. How much resting have I really been doing really

Week 4 progress photos, I seem to be holding muscle mass well this time and I think I'm getting less fluffy but it's still too early to tell. I haven't been weighing myself due to anxiety but my husband has been keeping track for me at my request so if if the cut isn't working he will be able to tell me if I need to adjust things. I did measure my waist and I'm down in waist size which is good for the shape I'm going for.
This months changes are ,week 5 is a rest week so only 2 to 3 lifting days , pyramid sets to change things up so I don't get bored, and trying to incorporate more cycling now that I know I'm not allergic to bees and can go back outside again once it's summer lol! I also added in more core work because i noticed its getting hard to feel activation again and some rehab exercises to keep my imbalances in check, just one rehab exercise per workout .

maybe it's just me but when i see someone super jacked in a movie or series i need scenes where they're working out as part of their routine or something just doesn't add up. willing suspension of disbelief can only take me that far

working out consistently is insane it’s been like 6 months and my arms are the biggest theyve ever been and I dont even feel like ive been working that hard
#watched a dr mike video recently and he was talking about how the best bodybuilders trained and he said something along the lines of#“they show up to most of their training sessions consistently”#I always was an all or nothing workout person it was every day for like 3 months but if I missed a day I was at risk of stopping altogether#that quote + another dr mike video saying it takes two weeks of not training a muscle before it actually loses any mass#+ a jeff nippard video talking about how doing 1-4 sets per muscle per week gets you the majority of the hypertrophy possible for that week#like god damn u just have to keep showing up sometimes and doing something#the only pitfall is stopping doing anything at all for a long time#so easy 2 maintain/progress as a baby gymcel#dr mike israetel 2 be clear apparently there’s another dr mike#also gets me thinking about the moralization of being fit / the attitude that you have to Go Hard and Feel Pain and Be Masculine abt it#like idk it’s not a moral victory im not masculine / a pain endurer for working out it’s just a hobby#and the results u get with minimal pain are miles better than the results u get from doing nothing#and most people do nothing so ur a Fitness Guy for doing anything AND it gets easier and more tempting to do more as you get stronger

this weekend was…absurdly miserable lmao
#yes I’m being negative again but in a much more general way than usual!#it was foreseeable since I spent the past like 4 weeks at my parents’ house with my sister and yuki#and always had someone around me#so naturally being back at my own flat in the city I don’t know anyone in has been shit#but I also didn’t even do ANYTHING to at least try to keep my mind busy 😭#no giffing no reading no workout no replying to messages and asks#just. laying in my bed and discovering I actually developed a widow’s hump from looking at my phone a lot and stuff#like 😭😭😭😭 that’s the high life my friends. my twenties have been glorious#and let’s not forget the crippling anxiety on top cause my very close future is still written in the stars and I’m coping so well!#someone save me bro#anyway I’ll drive to the library tomorrow and Tuesday and try to get some writing done wish me luck#Wednesday's gonna be so fucking exhausting as well work-wise I can't wait for the coming week :)))

i've been eating too little again these past few days, so today i sat down & made a proper meal plan that i have to stick to. :)

resisting the urge to buy weights rn. i need to go bear mode.
#ive been looking forward to it but uh im a lil twig rn because i forget to eat...and ive just been getting skinnier because of it >_<#optimus encouraging me to eat more and workout heheheee#if im being honest ive only been into transformers for like. 1 and a half months at most and the franchise has done more good for me than#anything else ive been interested#tho i will not ignore how woy influenced me tho. hes one of the reasons ive chosen kindness and patience. but hehe. op has encouraged me to#also be kind. but also not take shit and eat better and work out. and also..influenced me to take a stance on whether i want kids or not#if im being honeessstt i think fnaf may have damaged me most? actually maybe not most but i just. was really possessive of things and#got very anxious when anyone else even mentioned it#anyways i found a set from 4 to 80 pounds for 40 bucks and its a deal for only 2 days and i have like.#$115 in my checkings right now but also like. id like to wait until after chuck e cheese hires me...i have so much confidence they will put#also. let me hold out. but ALSO my therapist DID change our appointments from every other week to only 2 sessions per month. heh. maybe she#thinks im doing well. but also i did get a bit of money from the last 2 fucking weeks where i was scheduled only once so i could just use#That money.
