Hire Male Cooks & Helpers
Tumblr media
With changing lifestyles across cities, the requirements of helpers are also changing not only in metros like Delhi, Mumbai and Pune but also in small towns like Patiala, Morbi, Rajkot. We have noticed an interesting trend lately. There have been an increasing number of demands for male cooks and maids across cities  The demands come from all quarters: Restaurants, fast food centers, company guest houses, bachelors living alone, aspiring actors or bodybuilders who want a cook to travel with them as a companion, and sometimes even families who have a male child.
Reasons for preferring a male domestic helper vary:
1. Increasingly, even married men are living alone in metros. These married men, or bachelors living alone or actors requiring a travel companion obviously are trying to avoid any possibility of an uncomplimentary situation or accusation just because there is no female around. A male in the house is a safer option. Also, it is difficult for them to find a female to stay in their homes, especially when the homes do not have a separate living room for the “maid”.
2. Male cooks and maids can also double up as supervisors for a guest house. It is safer to employ a male as often there are no residents. which have a lot of outflow and inflow to and from the guest house. And there are many guest houses in small and big towns requiring such male supervisors cum cooks.
3. Male cooks and cleaners can also work as handyman or Jeeves for the family, at times taking care of outdoor assignments too, something which a woman helper does not normally do. These kinds of helpers are in great demand, especially across small towns.
4. Often, if there is a young male child at home, and both parents are working for a living, having a male helper gives the comfort of safety when the parents are not home. If the helper can drive a two-wheeler or car it is an added advantage. The person can drive around the child to school, classes, friends etc.
Conclusion
Today, having an online database like Helper4U.in makes it easier for Job Givers to look at available candidates who may not be local, but are ready to travel. It is a win-win for the job seeker and the giver. Often the employer even makes travel arrangements by car or even flight to transport their helpers to their towns.
Small towns are emerging clear front runners in terms of using online apps to hire as needed, and often with better living conditions on offer.

What it looks like when 1.3 billion people stay home
New Post has been published on https://apzweb.com/what-it-looks-like-when-1-3-billion-people-stay-home/
What it looks like when 1.3 billion people stay home
By Saritha Rai
On March 24, Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi ordered the world’s largest lockdown, effectively commanding one out of every six people on earth to stay home in an effort to stem the coronavirus outbreak in the country. The humongous state-run railways recorded the first suspension of services in its 167-year history, and millions of migrant day laborers walked hundreds of miles back to their villages along deserted highways.
With 5,351 infected and 160 deaths, the official toll of India’s caseload is dubiously small—the country had conducted only 128,000 tests as of Wednesday. Lockdown notwithstanding, the country could see as many as 300 million infections with 10 million of them severe, the risks compounded by population density, poor sanitary conditions and a largely decrepit health care system, according to Ramanan Laxminarayan, director of the Center for Disease Dynamics, Economics and Policy in Washington D.C.
Like everywhere else under lockdown, the social and economic impacts have stunned the country. The difference in India is the scale — the sheer number of people who, as they go about their daily lives, create the world’s worst traffic and dirtiest air. And when those people stay home, the reversal is similarly massive. Five technology companies, from an Indian grocery startup to a global online learning giant, provided Bloomberg with data that helps illustrate what happens when 1.3 billion people stay home.
Until last month, it was faster to walk than to drive across India’s most clogged roadways, including the Silk Board in Bangalore, the Ambiance Mall area in New Delhi or the Teen Haath Naka junction in Mumbai, where traffic flows 48 different ways. The now-empty streets are “the most visible macro perspective on the country’s lockdown,” says Rohan Verma, the chief executive officer of MapmyIndia.
Absent the throngs of buses, two-wheelers, rickshaws and hand-drawn carts, birdsong and cleaner air has returned. India was home to 14 of the 20 most polluted cities in the world in 2019, according to IQAir. Only one—Mumbai—was in the top 20 on April 9, 2020. Photos of blue skies and transparent river water circulated on social media, captivating an audience stuck indoors. The shutdown has brought air quality to acceptable levels even in Delhi, which last year was blanketed by such heavy haze that schools were closed and flights couldn’t land, and for the first time in recent history, residents of Jalandhar in the Punjab could see snow-capped Himalayas, some 200 kilometers from the city.
Online grocery shopping is still fledgling in India, though this lockdown is encouraging more people to buy more from sites like New Delhi-based Grofers. The site typically caters to working class clients, and they’re buying the usual pandemic staples — hand sanitizer sales are up nearly sevenfold. But they’re also indulging in pricey natural foods, which cofounder and Chief Executive Officer Albinder Dhindsa said took him aback. “The middle class doesn’t have spare cash to hoard supplies,” said Dhindsa. “So it was surprising to see packets of dry fruits, bottles of honey, and immunity-boosting herbal chawanprash fly out of our warehouses.”
Global shutdowns have put new focus on online learning, and India has 250 million students now home from school. The country is the second-biggest market for pioneer Khan Academy, which offers classes in Hindi, English and the blended Hinglish, as well as Kannada and Gujarati. The site has seen unprecedented growth during the pandemic, and India’s lockdown brought another deluge: registrations by Indian parents are up 1,000%, teacher sign-ups jumped 700%, student accounts by 450%.
In second week of the lockdown, over 627 million people watched an average of 4 hours 48 minutes every day, for a total of 2.4 million years worth of viewing time, according to Nielsen and Broadcast Audience Research Council of India (BARC). At prime time on Sunday, March 29, 51 million tuned into the national Doordarshan channel for Indian television’s “biggest day ever,” according to BARC Chief Executive Officer Sunil Lulla. What was on? A rebroadcast of the 1987 hit serial Ramayan, an adaptation of the ancient Hindu epic Ramayana.

Travelers & citizens of #Delhi and neighboring states opinion:
1) Delhi resident: “I’m so glad the trucks have been banned entry into Delhi. They are responsible for the traffic and smoke. Clean air is the right of every citizen, we need to do whatever it takes to achieve it.”
2) A mother dropping her child to school: “I am scared for my child’s health. I have been reading a lot about the sources of pollution. Pollution from vehicles including cars, two wheelers, trucks and buses is only 20-30%. Stopping trucks from entering Delhi today doesn’t solve the problem, they will enter the moment the ban is lifted. We have to focus on the other 70% that will have long term benefits.”
3) Frequent business traveler: “I have to travel between Delhi and Punjab every other month. I have notice delayed road projects for years! The dust from the stalled road construction sites is scattered by the winds. This leads to the road dust when vehicles travel which in turn leads to air pollution. It’s not the trucks or the cars; it’s the delayed projects that are suffocating us all. The SMOG not FOG is leading to the road accidents.”
Truck driver’s comments/situation: Our team visited several dhabas and high truck #traffic points on the NH8 Delhi to Udaipur highway. Here is what the drivers shared with us:
1) Drivers Khayal Singh and Jagmohan Singh: “We have no money for food since we have been standing here for 3 days. The client has been calling every 2 hours to find out the location of truck. Didn’t know what to say so switched off my mobile.”
2) Drivers Vikram, Bunty and Manoj: “This is a 2km jam on the highway, piling up since 2 days. Once the entry is allowed, there will be major #congestion in Delhi. Won’t that lead to more pollution? The pollution situation will probably become worse in Delhi since all the trucks lined up here will enter Delhi together. The government should think before imposing such restrictions.”
3) Driver Ram Kishan: “I was re-routed by the police to alternate roads which are in poor condition and with no road indicators. I have had an accident due to the smog and bad road and stand to lose my job. This ban will ruin my life”
4) Driver Gopal: “I drive a tanker, and am carrying a load to Rai industrial area (Haryana) but I am not being allowed to pass the barriers at Neemrana. I have been stuck here since last night. Taking an alternate route will cost me over 100ltr in fuel. The customer is calling me endlessly as it’s an urgent consignment. He refuses to believe that the police is not letting me pass.”
5) Driver Farukh: “I have been standing here since the past 3 days and now my truck battery is down and I cannot start my truck. It is a menace”
Police officer’s comments/situation: While we were scouting we even spoke to the men on duty, the officers that have been on duty implementing the truck entry ban.
1) Police officer at Panipat: “It is so foggy; my team and I are scared of trucks/vehicles running over us, especially at night. Who is going to look after our families? But we are all still here doing our duty, following orders.”
2) Police Officer at Jaipur: “We have been standing here since the past 3 days and blocking the entry of trucks, but when they all enter Delhi together once the ban is lifted it will be a bigger problem in terms of traffic and pollution. Then getting them out of Delhi will be a problem.”
Truck owner’s comments/situation: We visited the major #transport areas of Delhi to understand their views on the truck entry ban.
1) Fleet operator in Delhi: “I have 15 trucks standing since the past 3 days. The cost of standing (detained) truck is Rs. 3,000/- per truck per day which works out to a loss of Rs. 135,000/- for me. I don’t save this much in the whole month. Who is going to help me recover this loss?”
2) Transporter: “Road dust and garbage burning is the real cause of air pollution, there is no work being done to control that. For everything, the illiterate truck driver and transporters are blamed since they are easy targets. We are so busy trying to meet our installments that we don’t have the time or money to fight legal battles with the government for its irrational decisions.”
3) Trucks operator: My customer has his godown in Delhi, and therefore I have to get my trucks to Delhi for delivery. Because of my customer’s choice of location of business, my truck is standing at the Delhi borders since 3 days. It has become a crime to become a #transporter”
4) Traffic manager at a logistics company: “This ban is no solution to decrease #pollution levels of Delhi. In fact, it will result in a bigger traffic jam in Delhi when the ban is lifted. Trucks in traffic jams will have higher fuel consumption, even more pollution. Limiting the entry hours would have been a much better solution.”
5) Truck Operator on Delhi Mumbai route: “I understand that banning trucks entry for a few days will drop pollution levels a bit. But this decision will also have enormous financial impact. Thousands of tons of goods are stuck on route. Once all the trucks reach Delhi, freights will see a significant drop due to over supply of trucks in Delhi.“
6) Owner of 10 trucks: “My drivers are out of money and constantly calling us for help. My customers are calling to confirm delivery time, and I have no answers for them. I have tried calling traffic police department and also tried speaking to officials at the tolls to get an expected timeline of truck entry ban. No one has any answers.”
7) Renowned Truck Operator Association: “Green tax was applied saying it would help control pollution in Delhi. Crores of Rupees have been collected in Green Tax from truck owners in the last year. If Green Tax is not controlling pollution levels then why is it being charged?
We deserve to know what has been done with all the money collected under #GreenTax”
8) Fleet Owner: “This has been a horrible year post #demonetization, #GST and now this. If trucks don’t operate, how will we get the freights on time? The bank installment wont wait, the bank won’t give us grace period to pay the installment. If we miss our installment our CIBIL will be hit and eventually this will hurt our creditability without any fault of ours.”
9) Delhi Transporter: “I have BSIV trucks which are very expensive and are performing on international pollution standards. Even my #BSIV trucks are not allowed entry to Delhi. What was the point of paying more for better technology if I have to pay the same penalties of Green Tax and face the entry bans?”
10) Transporter: “The consignor/ee decides whether the goods are to be delivered in Delhi or outside Delhi but green tax is the onus of the truck owner. Most of my customers don’t pay me Green tax. On my fleet of 50 trucks, I have paid over Rs. 40 lakhs towards Green tax last year. My bank accounts are empty and now this entry ban! How can I make an honest living?”
Farmer’s comments/situation: When we spoke to the farmers, they had their own issues. Here is what they said:
1) Haryana Farmer: “Government does not give us enough financial support to even get our basic costs out. We have to burn the crop to save on labor cost.”
2) Punjab Farmer: “Stubble burning is an age old practice, this does not cause long lasting pollution. This has been done for decades. If the pollution levels are high, then the stubble burning is not the permanent cause of it. All the educated people in the cities should spend some time evaluating the real cause.”
3) Haryana farmer family: “My farm land was taken away from me for building #highways, then for widening of the highway. All the trees were cut but the government has not planted any new trees in the area to maintain the #ecological balance. This had to happen, we had warned them”
Factory owner comments/situation: We visited Kundli, Rai industrial area and spoke to the factory owners there. Here is what we learnt:
1) Factory Owner: “I have a factory in Kundli. The truck carrying my raw materials from Kandla is stuck in Bagru (Rajasthan) as the police is not letting any trucks pass. I have a boiler running since 2 days. If I stop the boiler, my goods in production will turn into scrap. I have to bear high electricity costs for keeping the boilers running. I don’t know when the ban will be lifted and I don’t know what to do. The truck cannot reach me even though I am not in Delhi.”
2) Warehouse manager: Garbage burning is one of the biggest reasons of air pollution, all the landfills are still burning. Banning trucks entry will only disrupt the availability of goods in the city, it wont reduce pollution.”
This was our compilation of the peoples opinion on the situation in Delhi. We hope that their views are taken into serious consideration.
Feel free to share your thoughts and experiences.

Understanding How Avoid Major Faults at Time of Driving Test
Major faults drastically reduce your chance of passing. These serious errors compromise the safety of the driver, passengers, and other road users and often reflect inadequate understanding or application of traffic laws. Common examples of major faults include engaging in risky maneuvers, failing to yield when required, making improper lane changes, or causing a collision. At Mandeep Motor Driving School, the Best Driving School, we emphasize the importance of mastering road safety protocols to prevent these major faults.
- Ignoring traffic signals or road signs.
- Losing control of the vehicle.
- Engaging in actions that endanger pedestrians or other motorists.
The Implications of Dangerous Faults
Dangerous faults, a subset of major faults, demand immediate attention as they lead to an automatic fail. Actions such as running a red light or failing to adapt to hazardous weather conditions are examples. Our car driving school in South Delhi focuses on intensive practical sessions to help students recognize and avoid such perilous mistakes.
Minor Faults Explained
While less severe than major faults, minor faults can hinder your path to obtaining your license if they accumulate. You are allowed no more than 15 minor faults in one test. Examples include:
- Infrequent mirror checks.
- Stalling the vehicle.
- Minor hesitations or incorrect use of the handbrake.
Through repetitive practice and scenario-based training at our driving academy, we work with you to iron out these small kinks in your driving before the big day.
Conquering Test Anxiety
Feeling nervous is natural, but excessive nerves can undermine your driving ability. To combat test anxiety, Mr. Singh’s Academy, considered the best driving school, offers specialized lessons for nervous drivers which include:
- Deep breathing exercises.
- Positive self-talk strategies.
- Comprehensive review sessions to discuss common faults and solutions.

Driving Basics: How to Keep Your Car Within the Speed Limit
In the process of learning how to drive, the capacity to stick to the allowed speed is one of the most important aspects that should be developed. It is crucial for drivers to note that speeding is not just an offense that can be considered as committing a small infraction, but instead, it is a very dangerous act that leads to enhancement of the frequency of accidents, not to mention the various legal implications that are likely to follow. In today's world of new technologies where new cars seduce with their advanced dynamic capabilities it is more crucial to exercise control and to be conscious about the speed.
Road safety entails avoiding speeding because this will help other people on the roads. It could also reduce cases where one has to risk overtaking or driving at high speed since all travels could have been well planned to fit the available safer road space. The concept of speed management goes beyond simply following the speed limit, it is about safety for oneself and others.
Enrolling in the best car driving school in South Delhi is crucial, as they focus on teaching safe driving and speed management—not just car control. This training is key for anyone aiming to become a responsible driver in today's fast-paced world.

Here are Some Invaluable Tips to Stay within Speed Limits
Focus is Key
The road requires your full attention. Continuing a phone call, listening to loud music, or engaging in a discussion can contribute to causing unintentional speeding. By keeping your eyes on the road you are able to make sure that your speed does not escape your notice.
Regular Speedometer Checks
Another basic rule applies to checking your speedometer frequently in order not to overspeed. It is important to get into the habit of looking down the road occasionally, even if it is a known and preferred route, as it can prevent one from going over the speed limit without realizing it.
Observe Speed Limit Signs
There are intentionally installed sign posts having speed limits and which are likely to be posted near regions with constantly changing speed limits such as near schools or construction sites. These are some signs that one should consider and maintain a given speed to avoid exceeding the legal set limit.
Evaluate Your Driving Behavior
It is helpful to consider why you might speed—perhaps it is the adrenaline, perhaps you are always running behind schedule, or perhaps it is to match the rest of the drivers. It is recommended to learn about these triggers and try to modify the driving behavior accordingly. Just as leaving at an earlier time can address the question of having to accelerate can help.
Understanding Speed Limits
Of course, it is essential to recognize that speed limits are a legal provision, and they shall not be considered benchmarks. There can be circumstances such as the obstacles on the road, pedestrian crossings, and unfavorable weather conditions that require driving at slower speeds. All the above factors are important and need to be taken into consideration so as to avoid dreadful accidents.
