Initially I've modelled the cardigan to be a top but I didn't like the results so I turned it into an outfit instead.

Each cardigan recolor comes with repositoried version / different top. Jeans/boots and top are separate from the cardigan, all pull textures from the mesh file so there's no texture redundancy.

You can easily switch denim recolors and lacey top recolors in SimPe - I've included TXMT resources for that.

Laced top is based on TS2 nightie texture.

*I've edited Yuxi's 3t2 cowboy boots shape to my liking, UVs have been moved so these are not compatible with original 3t2 texture.

FYI Turtleneck part is not compatible with io's textures for Tantra's turtleneck.

Hi everyone, after seeing a request on the Sims 2 Facebook group, I have default replacements for University cult-leader career outfits ambodyshaman, embodyshaman, afbodyshaman & efbodyshaman.

They’ve been replaced with DeeDee’s 3t2 Everyday Turtleneck suit and DeeDee's 3t2 All About Style Blouse+Skirt outfit.

I used swatch grey-black for the men and blue skirt for the women. The meshes have fat morphs for all, and preg for adults.

2. Puffer Track Pants

3. Rainslicker Pixicat Docs

The coat mesh is from afbodyrainslicker. Recolors 1-6 use textures by Kaputt-Geliebt, 7 is the Maxis red, 8 is taken from a @pooklet recolor from here, and 9-16 are from these by Lenasha. The boots are Pixicat's docs with textures by @deedee-sims (from here and here). Jeans textures by Aikea Guinea and Gelydh.

4. Superspy Coat Pants Boots

This one is for AM-EM only.

Polycount: 3,470.

The coat is originally a 3t2 conversion by @rented-space. Recolors 1 and 9 use two of the original textures, the others use these textures by @kooli-sims. The pants are reshaped afbottomchiqjeans. The shoes are @skeleton-teacup's 3t2 University Life Mid Boots.

This one is for TM only.

Polycount: 2,180.

Original AF outfit by Gioiella but I converted from Kalynn's TF conversion. It was a bit of a weird mesh, had to do a lot of reshaping. Edited the textures slightly to get rid of green and purple reflects.

What’s your favorite Sims death? -- I find it incredibly entertaining that sims can spontaneously combust if they get too warm.

Alpha CC or Maxis Match? -- mix, but ig it leans towards realism nowadays.

Do you cheat your sims weight? -- not that I can think of. sometimes if I am shooting a specific scene and they weren't that shape at the time. but not during gameplay.

Do you move objects? -- absolutely. I'm incapable of decorating without moveobjects on honestly.

Favorite Mod? -- uhm... I guess the 3t2 traits project or ACR/Romantic Standards.

First Expansion/Game Pack/Stuff Pack? -- I have been playing ts2 since it literally came out, so my first ep was whichever one came out first. I think that was Uni? but in spirit of the question, for sims 4 I only bothered downloading the game when they came out with cottage living lol.

Do you pronounce live mode like aLIVE or LIVing? -- aLIVE. my brain always said essentially like a movie set "and we're live!" so.

Who’s your favorite sim that you’ve made? -- Evren Thorne (who you're more likely to see in @luverofralts or @nappe-plays-the-sims game than mine) because he's not story relevant yet, or (much to everyone's chagrin) Callum

Have you made a simself? -- at some point far in the past, yes. I do not have that sim anymore, and I probably wouldn't do it again, but yk. I was also 11 when I started playing this game, so of course I made a digital barbie of myself. (not to say it's childish to do in and of itself, but that it's definitely something that every child tends to do)

Which is your favorite EA hair color? -- since ts2 only has 4, I'm going to assume this was more ts4 centric. in which case I like the neutral blonde/light blonde colors (the two that are less yellow)

Favorite EA hair? -- eh. for ts2 I wouldn't use any of them. for ts4... the mullet thing from werewolves? ig.

Favorite life stage? -- teens or young adults. (I think I may be the only person I know how actively likes Uni for ts2 the most lmao)

Are you a builder or are you in it for the gameplay? -- oh. both. depends on my mood.

Are you a CC creator? -- yeeeup. recreationally though. (read: with no real consistency.)

Do you have any sims merch? -- I now have a gameplay guide for the original Sims game lol. but I think that's all I own.

Do you have a YouTube for sims? -- nope. I uh... don't like watching gameplay videos, and sims machinema is way too time consuming to make so I do not.

How has your “Sims style” changed throughout your years of playing? -- oh gosh. I was one of those edgy emo kids so it was a lot of grunge and dyed hair and bright makeup. I've honestly been leaning a bit more towards that style again though so....

Who’s your favorite CC creator? -- depends on what I'm looking for. tbh a LOT of the CC I have now is older stuff that I just still like. but anyone who isn't exclusively making 4t2 stuff is probably someone I've downloaded from.

How long have you had Simblr? -- technically this blog since January 1st 2020. that being said, I moved from LJ to simblr in like.... idk, 2012? whenever that great migration happened.

How do you edit your pictures? -- a lot of photoshop. color correction, a slight film grain at the very least. most times I also do aesthetic edits to hide clipping, and add painted hair strands nowadays. if I can't get an emotion right for a screenshot, I edit those too.

What expansion/ gamepack is your favorite? -- for ts2 I really don't think I could pick one. the problem is I use like 90% of them for SOMETHING gameplay wise, even if I don't use the main function. ie: I love the chemistry/attraction from nightlife, even though the whole downtown thing is frankly annoying sometimes (do YOU WANT TO GO DOWNTOWN? no, random townie I do not. ) But, seeing as I listed it earlier, I guess university.

As promised: The ramble about my plans for new Kulo Sena is here! Under a cut, because I ramble, a lot.

The first decision I've made, as I already said, is to mod romance out of the game entirely - I've never understood the concept or known how to write it in when it cropped up, especially when woohoo was involved. I hate the turn-on/off system because of how shallow it is, and all the replacement TO mods I've found that don't use as many physical traits replace them with 3t2 traits, which I no longer use.

As far as the need to bring in new sims, well, I don't like playing to "get through the generations" at all. I'm still on generations 7-9 in Kulo Sena after nearly seventeen years. I also want to prevent population explosions of the sort that happened when I used ACR. So I'm cutting the pregnancy aspect too, using deco dragon eggs to simulate the inhabitants of Juvash being egg-laying species. Juvash is a magical world, so I'm saying that mothers lay a clutch of eggs and then they're fertilised by a "breath on the wind" sort of thing, where the essence of compatible spirits is carried to the eggs through the aether or something. In practice, this means that the second parents of any babies will be chosen randomly. Not all siblings in a clutch will share the same second parent, either.

I've also made a decision that was a very difficult one for me: not playing with the supernatural lifestates available. Don't get me wrong, I love them, but I'm not using most of their abilities in game. They also don't mesh well with my ideas about how magic works in the Senaverse - and in a world that doesn't assign universal talents and traits to an entire species, how does it make sense that all plantsims have gold gardening badges? There will still be plenty of non-humans, just not with in-game lifestates.

I forget what else there is to ramble about, so I'll leave off here. If I think of anything else, I'll note it down and ramble again tomorrow. :)

Hi! I am sorry if I missed it somewhere, but I was wondering how you determine your sims' characteristics (favorite colors, traits, hobby, and the others)? Do you use a generator or some other method? I am really inspired by Merybury and love seeing your posts on my dash. Thank you!

Thanks for your lovely message. :)

I use a spreadsheet of my own devising to determine almost all the aspects of my Sims' characteristics. I have mentioned it before, but I'm rather pleased with it, so happy to talk about it again!

So, the spreadsheet calculates, from a Sim's personality and interests, the likelihood of their having a particular 3t2 trait, OTH, Aspiration, Career (and hence LTW) or Turn-on/off, but I can still apply my own discretion to choose between two or more competing characteristics, depending on what I feel might suit that Sim best.

I've worked out my own mathematical relationships between personality/interests and each of these factors.

This is a broad overview of how it works:

Personality + Interests + Parental Traits => 3t2 Traits

Personality + Interests + 3t2 Traits => OTH

Personality + Interests + 3t2 Traits + OTH => Aspiration

Personality + Interests + 3t2 Traits + OTH + Aspiration => Career (LTW)

Personality + Interests + 3t2 Traits + OTH + Aspiration => Turn-ons/off

As a bonus, I also calculate these:

Personality + 3t2 Traits + Aspiration => Ideal # Children

Personality + 3t2 Traits + Aspiration => Individual Risky Woohoo Rate

The only things I don't determine this way are favourite colour (the colour(s) of their everyday outfit when they age up to child - I figure they have chosen it for themselves) and orientation (mostly randomly assigned by ACR, but sometimes I override this if I have a particular feeling about an individual Sim). And I let them choose their university major themselves.

Wow, I actually solved the crashing of my Victorian CC within a day!

(the culprit was multiple copies of the checkbook mod)

So I started setting up my Steampunk Strangetown! I was gonna share a couple photos, but I forgot to increase the resolution and they aren't great, so... next time. I put Olive, Ophelia, and the Curious brothers in Victorian/Steampunk outfits and gave them traits. I decided Vidcund gets a robot arm. Also, the selection of Victorian clothing that is not Fancy Wealthy or Poor Vagabond is quite bad, but at least I'm not being particular about the date with regards to outfits.

I also constructed a quick domed garden (using a 3t2 conversion I found somewhere of a huge glass dome), filled with Sun&Moon crops and trees. Somebody's gonna own that lot and hire or charge sims to work it, but I'm not sure who yet. It looks great, though. I considered having some rules about the atmosphere and forcing all my sims to live in domes and wear diving suits outside, but I decided that wasn't really the spirit of this idea. I might make them keep particular objects on lot to make an air bubble, perhaps. And I think gardening requires a dome or greenhouse.

I have some vague plans to completely remodel one of the premade community lots into some sort of Landing Pad--docks? space port? idk what to call it yet. I have some construction pieces that I'm going to try to use to make an airship to have docked--some 3t2 houseboat hulls, Sphere360, and greenhouse glass roofs, we'll see how that goes.

I'm going to use all the standard Strangetown sims, and La Fiesta Tech which I may rename to something more Victorian or Steampunk. The Martian Technical Institute, or Olympus University, or something. It's on Mars with my colonists, anyway, and I will start with only playing the premade college sims that are in households, so I can stagger the ages of the premade college sims a bit. I'll also use whatever bin sims strike my fancy as I need new blood--although transport can only arrive at certain times I haven't decided yet.

Lots to figure out, and I still need more CC somehow.

I finally finished my recreation of Sims University from the Sims 3 University Life. I wanted a new University to add to my Sunset Valley. It was made with all EPs and SPs and checked with Hoodchecker. You’ll find more details, needed downloads, pictures, and the University below the cut. 

Due to the high cost of most of the homes as residential lots, I made the residential lots into dorms with just a few rooms. The administrative buildings as well as two of the Rabbit Holes are just Hood Deco by Delonariel. There are no Sims so either your game will generate dormies or you will need to make your own dormies (Find out how HERE). Some dorm rooms will have two doors to allow for dorm-mates. A dormie may claim the other door and your room will appear to be empty, however you can still enter and use it properly.

First of all, here are some mods I highly recommend for the best experience:

You will definitely need a camera mod to see all of the lots. I personally have GunMod’s Camera Mod.

Most lots will have inaccessible shrubs/flowers so I also recommend having Perfect Plants.

Most lots have off-grid rugs, having zz_HL_RugFixesBin_ALL prevents them from looking too weird.

Community Skilling is great so your Sims can build skills using all of the wonderful Community Lots.

XenoriaRose's 3t2 conversion of Phixil's skeleton hands choker came with their sim Ilona (it's in a separate folder in the rar). There might have been an individual post for it but I think it's been deleted. I also have these neon and pastel recolors by Jessy. I have most of Xenoria's accessories and they definitely suit goth sims, take a look at their downloads tag (I think the download links still work but if not let me know and I can re-upload).

Upstairs from the nerd shop there’s a games room / coffee shop.

There are plenty of games here to keep my nerdy Simmies occupied: Mahjong, Don't Wake the Llama, Chess… and of course, a RPG corner!

On a side note, I learned how to convert stuff from Sims 3 to Sims 2 and with Sandy’s authorization @aroundthesims I converted her D&D posters for my game. And also that dragon tapestry from Dragon Valley... Not as easy as one might think but they turned out great! #proud

Clothing for men? I’ve done it again.

My game contains a lot of really great 3t2 and 4t2 clothing mesh conversions. However, those mesh conversions seem to lack depth and definition (imo). So that is what I have done with these 4 sweaters!  Included are:

- @gryning’s 4t2 Cottage Living Sweater, with a completely *NEW* texture

- @rented-space‘s 3t2 Very V-Neck Sweater, with a completely *NEW* texture

- @memento-sims’s 4t2 Good Guy Jumper, with a sweater-y overlay

- JaRo’s separated top from this University outfit, with a sweatery-y overlay

All texture credits go to EA (things nabbed from TS2, TS3 and TS4, AAS and Fashion Twist. All meshes included. The Cottage Living Sweater and the University top have PSD’s for recolorists.
